The Bento Guys San Francisco Reviews
I went here today and it was amazing! The food was delicious and the service was great. We also had the most amazing mango margaritas. 10/10
Love this place. Everything is delicious, portions are generous plus they have great happy hour drink specials
Been here twice and we have loved it both times. It is family run and the owner is very gracious. We stopped by on a friday late night, and there was a good crowd in there, but not too packed. Service was excellent and the portions are great. Very flavorful food. Drinks were also on point. I'd highly recommend - the price point is very very reasonable.
Wow.... one of the best Mexican meals ever (here or south of here). ¡Steak Ranchero! Properly sized homemade flour tortillas to wrap it all up. Excellently crafted margaritas. Just what the doctor ordered. It's a bar with restaurant booths. I'm going to move in!!
My husband and I had huevos con tocino and huevos con chorizo and everything was so good! The tortillas were soft and hot and the Jamaica was really good, not too sweet. We are just visiting SF but we would come back to eat here. Service was super good too.
Lives up to the hype. Can't beat the price and quality of food. Had the chilaquiles with birria. Fire 🔥. The chips are homemade, thick and really crispy, with great homemade salsa to pair. The refried beans were delicious too - you could eat them without having to combine them with the sides. Decor was peaceful and charmingly designed. Even the bathroom has a swag touch to it. Also, didn't drink, but the prices seem good. Definitely coming again. Pro tip - they have weekend exclusives, plus a lunch menu, and a cocktail happy hour.
Delicious and cute atmosphere. Prices are fair.
Authentic Mexican Cuisine. Best Chilaquiles in San Francisco!!! My Go To Mexican Restaurant...
Absolutely fantastic experience at this family-owned Mexican restaurant! The Chicken Milanese and stuffed peppers were incredibly delicious and a great value for the price. The flavors were authentic, and the portions were generous. The friendly and attentive staff made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with genuine hospitality.
Very good food! The meat was very tender and flavorful. You get big portions for a good price. This location doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic, so I hope people will make the drive for the food- it’s worth it!
Delicious food and excellent service. Love the vibe here. You feel the love as soon as you walk in the door and in the food. Weekend specials include birria that is made in a delicious sauce - leaves you licking your fingers! The seafood is always fresh and tasty. I recommend the fried fish and the shrimp ceviche. They also make the best michelada. Definitely my new go to for traditional Mexican food.
Ted Wicher I think there is seriously wrong with you and wrong with your taste buds..This place is Authentic if you know the difference also sounds like you were on an off day...That's was your preference and not going back then why write a bad review ?? You just don't go there and go something more suitable for you .. You have to know the difference in Authentic food ..The food is super Autehntic and Amazing you can also try San Jalisco on 20th & South Van Ness. The food is delicious ..My family has been eating her food for many many years ...Good Job Tia Yossie lots of love from your nephew Benito Razo ...Not on my the food amazing the owner my Aunt is so Cool 😎 and adorable and very loving !!
Yessie is an absolute gem. She takes care of her customers and her food is next level. Must have Mexican!
I went for the weekend special of goat birria, and it was divine. If you like goat and are there on a day they're serving it, don't miss it. I opted for the caldo version. My husband loved his meat sampler plate, it was a large portion, and he took some home. Alfonso's service was friendly and generous. They've done a nice job with the redecorating, all is fresh, clean, and attractive. I can't wait to go back and try more menu items.
Parking is the barrier that presents it self here. Available street parking has limited non yellow zone. The food keeps me circling the block. The service here is warm, and friendly. Staff don't hover but seemed to have a watchful eye, ready to refill chips and salsa. The portions are generous without feeling super sized. I ordered a plate so beans rice meat I requested no salad. The rice was fresh and the refried beans creamy. While the meat was seasoned well and not salty. There was ample seating during lunch but I noticed they were doing a brisk to go orders.
The most affordable Mexican food within walking distance from me. They're happy hour is always a steal for me. Wdym margaritas that cost less than $10 AND the bartenders do not water down the drinks. What more can I ask for in SF? So
Finally, a decent , true restaurant which is not touristic and you can enjoy some Mexican food. The Margarita coctail tasted like pre-prepared, bought in a bottle from the supermarket. It was very sweet and it tasted fake. The food wasn't exceptional but it was nice. The size of the portion were big enough and I could fill my stomach. The prices were reasonable. The staff was very polite and quick. We liked the atmosphere of the place and that it was located outside the centre. We are definitely going back again.
I kept hearing about this place and I wanted to try it out. I was treating myself to a birthday dinner. I walked in. I was not attended to. I'd already picked what I wanted from the menu before they sat me down. I got chips & salsa & two beers before I was told my meal had been given to someone else. When I got my meal, it was the weakest mole I have had- period- I was disappointed, considering how much this restaurant has been talked up. My server was not attentive, I asked the ladies bussing to get me what I needed. (Napkins, water, silverware, tortillas) The other tables and the bar were being attended to but I was not. Being the only non white in the dinning area, I cant help but take that in to consideration. I spoke to a young lady when she asked me if "everything is ok?" I replied, give me my bill. I'll pay for everything. My meal was very disappointing. Your mole is so weak, it's great for the Gringos, I'm sure they love it, but it's a hard pass for me. My meal was comped, although i took only a few bites; i still would have paid in full. I never saw my waiter again. I tipped 40% and left.
Carnitas plate for lunch. The carnitas meat was very bland, tasteless. The guacamole tasted like packaged from a supermarket. Refried beans tasted mediocre. Rice was decent. The tortillas didn't taste very good. The server was excellent, really on top of his game. This is really uninspiring Mexican food, a very forgettable meal. I do not recommend this business
Service was terrible, very slow and they forgot things we ordered and never brought out items, they used the wrong credit card at the end of the night and I am still unsure if I will have unauthorized charges on my CC account. The drinks are good however, if you ever get the chance to order
This is probably the most disappointing place in my neighborhood. I walked into a mostly empty place and was ignored for 5 minutes. Ordered a carnitas burrito with mole sauce and it was awful. The meat was overcooked and was so salty I had to stop eating it. The sauce was too sweet, runny, and grainy; it feels like it came out of a can. It took 3 staff members to get me my check in a restaurant with 10 people in it. I won’t be back.
My wife and I went here with our female friend and the waiter sat next our friend to take the order and made us very uncomfortable. He didn't know much of the menu or pretended with the intention of leaning over and making inappropriate contact. We left right after to never return.
