The Bite San Francisco Reviews
The Bite offers authentic Palestinian cuisine made with wholesome ingredients that nourish your body and support your best health. Absolutely love this spot!
Ordered takeout and it was ready quickly and made for an unexpectedly fantastic lunch. I had the grilled chicken breast salad which came with a large portion of chicken that was grilled perfectly and tender and moist. The dressings and sauces were all yummy but especially the lemon dressing. The hummus was also spot on and the accompanying pita bread was soft and fresh. Overall everything wasvery fresh, delicious and had great portion sizes as well. Will definitely be ordering from here again!
WOW!!! DELICIOUS food, fast and friendly service. I got the chicken kabob bowl and it was enough food for two. Will definitely be returning many more times.
Some of the best Gyros in town, And everything else is great - The staff is super cool. And the fries are really memorable! Thanks guys!
The food was awesome! They were really helpful. The service was top-tier. I would definitely recommend this food to anybody that looking for a late night meal or anything delicious for their stomach. Five star nothing less.
Was staying at the Zetta and landed up here given vegetarian options. While other folks had spoken about it being in a bad part of town, didn’t see any issue at all in our 7-8 minutes walk to them and then on the way back. I had a mixed gyro and my wife had the veg falafel wrap. Both very rather tasty and both the veggies and falafel were very fresh (compared to recent places we had eaten at, which were 2-2.5x these prices.) Do plan to go back at least once more before my trip ends.
Been a rough week and The Bite made sure I end it on a high note. I just ordered late night delivery for tonight's dinner, and next two days of meals. Entrées are high quality ingredients. Made fresh to order. Meat was not dried out. Lightly seasoned to enjoy the fresh natural flavor of the foods. Bonus points for the careful packaging of my delivery order, especially the protective wrapping for the soups. Highly recommend!!!
- Multiple locations (e.g., 62 W 22nd St, 335 Lafayette St) make it accessible in Manhattan. [3] - Friendly staff and casual ambiance: Several comment‑threads mention staff are approachable, place works for a quick lunch. [2] --- 👎 What to watch out for / limitations - It’s not a fine‑dining experience: If you’re looking for a high‑end sit‑down dinner with full service, ambiance and upscale preparations, Bite is not in that category. It’s more casual café/fast‑casual style. - Space / seating may be limited: Some reviews hint at compact interiors and fewer dedicated sit‑down amenities. Example: in the Roadfood review: “There is no seating other than a few beat‑up bar stools on the sidewalk…” [2] If you want a relaxed sit‑down meal, check the location. - Because it’s fresh, simple fare, some may find it less “exciting” than a destination restaurant with elaborate plates. If you want a drawn‑out dining experience, you might get more from a specialized place. - If you go for non‑sandwich items (salads, etc), ensure you check freshness and portion — while many reviews are positive, some casual spots have variable consistency. --- 🎯 My verdict
I ordered from The Bite through DoorDash and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The meat was tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. The portions were generous, and the sides like the rice, salad, fries, and naan complemented the meal really well. We tried several items including the kebabs, gyro plate, and sides, and everything tasted authentic and delicious. The sauces were flavorful and added a great finishing touch. Honestly, every bite lived up to the name of the restaurant. This place is a gem for Mediterranean food, and I will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend if you want something fresh, satisfying, and full of flavor.
I was invited to lunch at The Bite. I chose the Lamb & Beef wrap and I absolutely enjoyed my meal. The wrap was huge but most importantly fresh tasting. The wrap is served with 3 different sauces and all 3 are delicious. The Bite is in a shady neighborhood but the restaurant is clean and safe. I will be returning.
Located in mission, an unassuming place. A great place grab a healthy bite! This is family owned Turkish & Mediterranean food. Amazing services and food. Lentils soup, falafel are must try. They even offered us a baklava desert on the house. Review update: we normally not go same place twice when travelling. We just have to come back to the bit after a long day of event to have the heart warming lentil soup and a big fresh salad. Different server same amazing food and service 😻 Cleanness: excellent Washroom: clean! Price: very affordable Speed of service: excellent
If you're looking for a healthy and affordable place to eat this is it! Food and service was amazing. I had an organic beef and rice bowl. Presentation was great and food tasted even better. Everything was hot and fresh. Salads looked just as good. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area. Located in a sketchier part of San Francisco but it's worth the walk if you're close by. Once you step inside it feels like a different world.
Absolutely frustrating. The chicken gyro wrap is not Greek gyro but also not Turkish döner. They made something up and it tastes really bad. The chicken was super warm that the greens inside the wrap were almost fully cooked on top the hot chicken and had an awful taste and slimy texture. The chicken was probably made on a pan and was really spicy. And the sauce on side… I don’t even know what they are, they all tasted so off. Why don’t you have just a simple Turkish chicken döner with ketchup and mayo? Lentil soup was nice and warm but it was super spicy. But at least was enjoyable a little bit.
