Uva Enoteca San Francisco Reviews
Uva Enoteca is a hidden gem on haight street! The food tastes incredibly authentic, and the team takes care to use high quality ingredients, many which are imported directly from Italy. Highly recommend trying their pizza & pairing it with their amazing wine selection, and make sure to save room for dessert + espresso at the end😋 Amazing spot for group events as well, with a large tasting menu! The staff was extremely helpful & created a special experience for our group dinner
Couldn’t fault it! The server was so passionate and knowledgeable about their food! Extremely accommodating. The food was absolutely fantastic, one of the best Italians I’ve ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Strongly recommend!
This is my new best Italian restaurant, it’s a hidden gem in lower haight. The owners were so friendly, the food is excellent, the space is peaceful. Best of San Francisco. -Rico
This a really nice Italian restaurant within a 10 minute walk from me. The pasta I had we’re was very well cooked and the waiter serving me was very friendly and very Attentive to me. I highly recommend people try this place and if you do I recommend getting pasta dishes here and you will not be disappointed. I may come back to this restaurant again. 5 stars all around
I live in the neighborhood and found Uva Enoteca not long after moving here almost two years ago. I’ve been coming back consistently ever since, bringing friends, work colleagues, family, and it’s always solid. The food is consistently great, the prices are fair, and I’ve never had a bad dish here. I grew up on the East Coast around Italian food, I travel the country often and an absolute foodie, so my standards are high. I hosted my birthday dinner here last night with 17 people and finally felt like I had to leave a review. Their group dining experience was amazing. Everything came out smoothly, the food consistently good, private atmosphere, and the staff were very attentive the whole night. Huge thanks to Antonio and the whole Uva Enoteca crew for making it such a great night. Looking forward to seeing y’all in the New Year!
Such a wonderful place! We feel grateful for having such places in our neighborhood. It’s one of those places where you can just head without thinking too much and be assured a good time! The food was on point, the servers were so pleasant and it felt upscale and easy going at the same time. Definitely gonna come here a lot :)
We had the opportunity to dine in this restaurant and, as good Italians, we felt like we were coming home, authentic flavors that recall the typical recipes of Apulia in southern Italy. Excellent quality of raw materials, courteous service and welcoming atmosphere.
All the food was delicious, the service was excellent, the recommendations were very good, and the wine was delicious.
my favorite italian spot in the city. fresh ingredients and great quality. their budino is my favorite dessert in sf!
Yummy food! We got a pasta and a pizza, both were amazing. Pizza was very light!
The food was incredible, I had the burata and the broccoli pesto / pork sausage, the best burata I've ever had 😅. The staff are also super nice and friendly.
After Christmas dinner with friends that wanted to go on Haight and I’m not familiar with this street at all so I looked up the reviews and tried this place out. I’m gluten free and meat free and they do have gluten free pasta, but when I saw the reviews on the eggplant, I had to try it! It was sooo good! Perfect, not too tangy and not too sweet! Just enough cheese (not vegan), had the beets with ricotta and mint and thought that might be weird but it went perfectly together! Everyone else said their food was amazing too! It would have made my dinner perfect if there was gluten free bread to sop up my sauce! The dessert we had the panna cotta with raspberry and corn flake crunch which also sounded weird but it works!
We enjoyed a lovely dinner. My husband had a pasta dish which was very tasty and I had the eggplant main course, which was like eggplant Parmesan but I don’t think the eggplant was fried- it was baked and delicious. We also started with some warm bread which was very good, but a bit pricey for the portion size. All in all, a very nice dinner. We will be back.

Truly the perfect neighborhood spot. I used to sit at the bar and have a romaine Caesar and a pizza… now I bring my extended family for a plethora of pasta dishes, pizza, appetizers and more (they are discerning palettes, and Uva Enoteca passed the test!) Would recommend to anyone nearby. They’ll take care of you, and you’ll leave with a belly full of delicious Italian food
I’ve hosted a few work dinners here and they’ve always taken great care of us. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is outstanding. The burrata with prosciutto was a favorite at the table, the pastas were fresh and flavorful, and the pizzas (especially the truffle mushroom) were a hit. We ended with panna cotta and budino, both excellent. Overall, a great spot for both business dinners and a night out with friends. - John
We had a team dinner here tonight and it was definitely a great choice! The owner really treated us and made great recommendations. Table favorites were the burrata, meatballs, orecchiette cime di rapa, and mushroom pizza although everything was amazing. Took great care of a gluten allergy as well. Thanks for taking great care of us on a pretty last minute reservation!
We are absolutely thrilled that we came to Uva. When we saw a restaurant highlighting food from Puglia, we were beyond excited—this is one of my favorite regions in Italy, and Uva captures it beautifully. We were lucky to be dining with friends, which allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. The Mele e Rucola, Paccheri alle Melanzane, and La Deliziosa were standouts that I still crave again. The buffalo mozzarella was extraordinary— so fresh, it felt like we were back in Italy. The wine list perfectly complemented the menu; we enjoyed a fantastic red from Puglia and a lovely white from Northern Italy. The quality of food and wine and the genuine warmth and hospitality, makes me want to come back again and again. Kudos and thanks to the team for such a wonderful experience!
Underrated gem, that we are so lucky to have in lower Haight. We ordered a lot and everything was excellent, with noticeably fresh and top-tier ingredients. Service was also excellent and passionate. People mention the budino, which I’m sure is great, but don’t sleep on the tiramisu which was by far the best I’ve had in SF (if not anywhere).
I just hosted a fantastic low stress birthday party for 17 at the authentic italian, small, charming, friendly, casually elegant and clean Uva Enoteca. The food, service and vibe were top-notch! The owner, Antonio and his staff were professional and friendly and made sure we were happy. This is my now my favorite restaurant.

I wandered in around 7 pm without a reservation. I asked for a table in the back. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. They were out of the evening special, so I tried the mushroom Paccheri Funghi e Salsiccia. The pasta was cooked aldente. The sauce was creamy with a hint of citrus and pepper. The dish has generous amounts of parmesian and succulent mushrooms. The red wine was the Barbera, bold, fruity and dry. However, my glass was underfilled. I was also bewildered by the absence of bread to sop up the sauce. It was only described to me. I wasn't offered a sample. I moved on to try the velvety chocolate Buddino but was not offered coffee. The quality of the food is excellent. However, for the price, a little sampling and upselling would have made it better. Antonio's personal attention made me blush or maybe it was the wine.

We got a lot of attitude from the hostess about being a few minutes late for our reservation and didn’t feel like we were treated well. The food was decent but the pizzas were lukewarm. I will say the kale pizza was incredible even while lukewarm. The burrata pizza should have been served warmer. Extensive wine list, plenty of seating, fairly quiet ambiance while still being upscale casual.
