Wasabi & Ginger San Francisco Reviews
OMG! Coming from this Hawaiian with very high expectations of sushi I am very pleased to say Wasabi&Ginger has hit every note! Trust when I say I tried it all, hand roll, soft shell crab, & special sushi's like "Lion King". I am pleased to say that have exceeded my expectations! Mahalo nui loa, & a hui hou
We had dinner at this place 3 times. Very tasty and fresh sushi. Service is good, kind staff. We were satisfied. Thanks.
Great food, nice place. I ordered tonkotsu ramen and is was the best I tried. Sushi was great
The best tempura I’ve had in a while.

We had a great dine-in meal here for our group of 8. The sushi rolls were great and the sashimi fish was very fresh! It is a family owned restaurant and their kindness shows through in their warm service.
Amazing rolls and service! Good quality fish and filling. Reasonable prices. Usually get takeout but the interior is very nice too.
My mom and I came here for a quiet dinner after a very long day. The hot sake brought us back to life. We were the only ones in the restaurant on a Wednesday, so it was nice and quiet. They were doing a steady stream of takeout orders. The sushi was excellent, very fresh. And I was impressed with the vegetarian options on the menu. I will definitely be back!
This is one of our favorite dinner spots. It's extremely convenient and usually doesn't have a large crowd until later in the evening. Their take-out orders are quick as well. Our favorite spot to sit is the bar. We love watching the chefs' create masterpieces with ease. It's a lot of fun to eat and enjoy the show. Everyone there is usually extremely polite as well. The food is yummy and the sushi is fresh. The prices are not too bad, either. Less expensive than a number of other sushi places in the area.
One of my favorite restaurants in SF! Staff was very professional and courteous. Food was amazing. They really made me feel like part of the family 👪!
Great food, excellent service. We can't help but ordered 3 orders of fresh oysters. Not only the sashimi, their juicy short rib will surprise you too. Nice and cozy dining area. Just the parking around this area sucks, recommend using share ride apps.
I dined here on a weekday and few others were present. The vibe was calm, and the meal was lovely with generous slices of very fresh and attractively presented fish, crisp daikon & shiso, and excellent service -- when I asked for more lemon and shiso, it came immediately. The miso with clams was great, and the chef's sampler provided me with ample variety: salmon, fatty tuna, albacore, & escolar. My only ask is that they offer the option of normal and not just low-sodium soy sauce as that condiment choice is a crucial element of the experience.
Really great neighbourhood sushi - rolls are great and tempura really fresh and light. Nice staff too and glad to revisit after 12 years or so and still find it reliable!
Tried the spicy tuna roll and the shrimp tempura roll. Both were great and the rice was perfect. Will return again.
Excellent sushi. Have been tired of the places we have been going because the rolls were small and the flavor only mediocre. This place is the welcome surprise : bigger rolls, flavor filled and fresh as can be.
Excellent food and really fair prices.

If you are looking for a fancy, upscale sushi restaurant, this place is not for you. If you are looking for a no frills, neighborhood spot with great service and fresh fish, Wasabi and Ginger is the spot. My boyfriend and I had a craving for sushi, and wanted to avoid the pricey spots in the Marina. We headed to Wasabi and Ginger and took a seat at the bar, and we were attended to immediately. We started off with the Chef's Special, which had a great variety of options. The chefs behind the bar kept checking in with us, and any time we asked them for another order, they whipped it up in just minutes. We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces, and we only had to walk 2 blocks home! We will be back often!
Fish tasted fresh, sashimi and rolls were decent portion sizes. Prices are average for sf/sushi. I ordered ahead for pickup and it was ready much sooner than I expected. I would go back to try other items.

Though this place doesn't look like much from the outside, I was quite impressed with their selection! Came on a Sunday night, and the place was filled with locals and regulars (my guess based on how close they were with the staff.) I ordered the rainbow roll and omakase sushi large. The rainbow roll was decent, nothing too special, but I was pretty impressed with the selection of fish for the omakase. I even got to try blue shrimp sushi which I'd never had before. Place is casual, also had TVs which was showing the NBA finals. Glad I found this place in my neighborhood, I'd definitely come back!

Very worst customer service Services is too slow maybe they should consider Hiring new employees.i am wetting 30 minet
I don’t know why this restaurant make online oder much late every time you need to wait 30 min ..
Food was so awful tonight (delivered from DoorDash).Several items tasted like the fish was old. Seaweed salad was very wet, Ika was inedible, Tartar was wet and grey. Punpkin and X roll were only passable. Will not be revisiting which js sad because we used to order from here regularly. Definitely nowhere near worth the price i paid, and certainly not since i had to toss the majority of it down the chute.
