You See Sushi San Francisco Reviews
Found this place by accident, (the place next door was closed) now our new favorite !!! Our (2)18mo old liked the sweet potatoes and avocado rolls too!!!
Great sushis, reasonable prices! We were there for takeout (like most customers) but there is a small dining room as well.
The place is very clean, the owner is super kind and the food is delicious! Afordable prices
Solid local sushi with all the classics and super nice owners. Also their name alone 👌
Great Sushi, Great Prices. One of my favorite places to stop in San Fran!
Our daughter absolutely loves You See Sushi. Welcoming place.
Authentic, 5 stars!
Hands down best sushi in the Inner Sunset, especially for the price! Fantasic cuts of really good quality fish, family owned, and really reasonably priced. Always leaved very happy!
Highly recommend & I will certainly be back. We ordered a lot for lunch @ work...rolls, tempura, gyoza. Everything was great! I will add it to my lunch rotation.
loved everything about this place. felt and tasted very authentic. Small place , kind of a little hole in the wall type place. service was great and next time I am in the city I will make my way out there.
Japanese restaurants are usually expensive, but You See Sushi offers excellent value for money, and as a Japanese, I often buy from them. You See Sushi is inexpensive and delicious. If you are Japanese, you should come here.
Good bento boxes, the meat is very good and flavorful and the lady that serves you is very nice and welcoming. Reasonable prices too
Best quality for the price around UCSF. We ordered salmon rolls, maguru nigiri, and some various sashimi. Their miso was also good.
One of my favorite places to get takeout after a long day- the owners are friendly, and it’s a great price for delicious sushi.
This place is legit, the prices are so reasonable for the quality sushi you get ! Very friendly inner sunset gem.
Very good sushi at reasonable prices. I often take out of town guests here and I'm never disappointed.
The best owners and the best sushi. Would give this place 100 stars if I could. One of the biggest and best kept secrets of SF
Noticed they have a lot of take out orders , but they are actually open for dine in too. The couple was friendly and attentive. We ordered rock n' roll, rainbow rolls, spider rolls, and dinner bento with California rolls, tempura and chicken teriyaki. Surprisingly, the portions were good and the prices were reasonable. The ratio of rice to chicken teriyaki was perfect and the overall portion was surprisingly large. Everything was delicious! This is my first time eating there and I will definitely visit again.
A little mom and pop shop tucked in the Inner Sunset!! Because the place is so small, the food comes out piping fresh when you order tempura straight from the kitchen to your table. The servers are nice and welcoming and try to do there best even when the line is going out the door. Delicious sushi for a great price!!
Its a cute little mom and pop shop tucked in a little corner. The inside vibe is cozy and comfortable. They were so kind and quick with their orders! I did not feel rushed at all, they were attentive and service was all around amazing. the portion sizes were really good. I ordered fried tofu and the chicken udon. My guest ordered a tempura bento box. the tempura was crispy and steaming. The broth was seasoned and so rich with flavor and the fried tofu came out so quick and was delicious. I highly recommend! Even for having a big appetite we left full and with leftovers.
I just happened find this place and i can say that the customer service was wonderful and the food was very reasonable it was not crowded when i arrived i will be going back real soon
Cozy family atmosphere. Caterpillar rolls are fantastic. Will be back!

Cozy family atmosphere. Caterpillar rolls are fantastic. Will be back!
This place must be a well-kept secret because it's rarely crowded for dinner. I imagine it has crowds at lunch as UCSF staff come down the hill to eat. The food is excellent and not expensive. The staff is friendly without being imposing. I think it's a husband and wife in the kitchen. Lady in Red and Caterpillar are my favorite sushi rolls, but all that I've tried has been superb. I've enjoyed their Bento Box and Saki too.
This has always been a favorite of mine. I’m boring and usually get the same order every time but in all those times I have never been disappointed. The Lady in Red roll is one of my all time favorites of any sushi place. Chef Paul is so friendly.
Cute family-run sushi place, serving all the regular favorites. I went on a cold night and the food and hospitality were top notch.
Always dependable, I can walk there. I see there's a bus line and a block down the street car. They are a lovely couple and have been doing this for thirty years. They deserve our support for staying open and feeding everyone during lockdown. The wife is always joyful, polite, welcoming, appreciative and hospitable. It is only take out food at this time. But that's okay. We must support our neighbors who supported us. They are helpful in giving assistance for navigating the menu to find solid and delicious gluten-free options. The miso soup is now to go, which it never was before. Enjoy some sushi and help. Some really faithful San Franciscans!
Got spicy salmon poke bowl. The chewy aromatic rice, tender tuna and refreshing seaweed and advocado is a great combination. Definitely would visit it more!
Great quality for a great price. You can order all night without going broke! Love the fried tofu, as it's a little different than the standard style you get in Japan.
Had a great dinner with a friend here. Cute mom and pop sushi place. 49erRoll is delicious, miso is great, Gyoza so yummy. I can’t wait to visit again.

Very good sushis and mochis too! Fresh fish, and a nice family business. Will definitely go back.
You know you're in legit Japanese place when they ask if you want them to deep fry the head of sweet shrimp you just ordered.
A bit cramped and the server wasn't very informative, due to a language barrier, but the food was excellent and affordably priced. Will definitely be back.
Still an incredible value, especially for maki and bento box combos. Tends to be easy to get a table, even on the weekends. They recently got new menus and a slight facelift. It's not the greatest sushi you'll ever have, but for an affordable night out, its not a bad option.
Fish is fresh, but they serve way too much rice in the chirashi bowl. Add another piece of fish. Not worth it.
Eating hospital cafeteria food can get boring and dangerous...you just never know what you're going to get. I wanted some good chicken teriyaki and some sushi. This was a great choice! I was able to get a lunch special of chicken teriyaki and 3 pieces of a california roll for about $7. Both were really delicious and the serving size of the chicken and rice was so larger that I couldn't finish it! Just a quick walk down the street from the hospital, I would reccomend this place to coworkers or families and friends visiting those who are in the hospital.
TLDR: 3.5 stars for a little mom and pop sushi spot with good portions for a fair price but nothing outstanding We ordered the lunch bento box for $15 each and also got three nigiris. The unagi was way overcooked and dry but the yellow tail was nice. The salmon sashimi with mine was fresh and the rice was cooked well but the tempura was a bit over breaded. Portions are good for a reasonable price. $50 after tax and before tip for 2 bento boxes and three orders of nigiri are a very fair price
Small little sushi spot but fast and authentic! I got a sushi combo and it was so delicious that I forgot to take a pic lol the only issue was my sashimi has wasabi under the fish and I am not a fan of wasabi
Above average quality sushi with a great selection for lunch. (Lunch till 2:30) & close proximity to UCSF Medical Center to make a quick walk. Lunch specials ranging from 8.95$-17.95$. One star taken off purely because the freshness of the fish varies by the day. I ordered the sushi lunch special D - Spicy Salmon Tempura with Cream Cheese @$12.95= 6 pieces, salmon & avocado roll, and 4 pieces of nigiri (chef's choice). Overall satisfying with a convenient location. I have been back a few times for lunch when in the area. Complimentary tea too!
A handful of tables, super casual, and very friendly but small staff. Food was delicious.

We love this place! It's close to us which really makes it worth the walk! The saki bombs are awesome, and we love the sushi as well. They have GREAT prices, so we definitely stop here for cheaper sushi!
You see sushi is the cheapest, still pretty good sushi you can get around this neighborhood. While the is definitely better sushi, you can't beat its prices. Plus it's bento box #6 is vegan and makes eating out with friends that much easier. The only downside is that they don't give you their complimentary soup when you take your food to go.

Sushi tasted slightly off, seared salmon roll was burnt
Food taste really good but ambiance and prices don't seem to match...
Nice staff. But the sushi size small than I expect.
Pretty blah. Understaffed although very sweet. Low quality sashimi. No suggestion of health concern, just not the best cut.
good prices. cheap beer & sake. I'll often get take-out from here. Good prices = not the best quality fish, but nothing to worry about. This place definitely caters to the UC (You See) crowd.
a legacy family business well prepared, prompt, and courteous ... ❤️

Certianly a cheaper option than other spots in the inner sunset, though I think it is worth shelling out a little extra coin for fresher tasting sushi at Koo, Hotei or Ebisu.
Close to campus so i decided to try it out. wasn't too thrilled with the food or what i paid for. Didn't really taste fresh at all.
The quality doesn't meet the cost. Tastes like generic grocery store sushi. Also do not have spicy mayo.
