Rene's San Ignacio Reviews
We have been coming here 40+ years. Same owner, chef. Always wonderful. Dinner of garlic shrimp, we licked the plate. It was a Saturday night. We enjoyed our big 🍹 Margaritas and watched the locals enjoying the e evening. Coming for breakfast.
If you go to one restaurant in San Ignacio it should be Rene’s! The service is great, the margaritas are strong, and the shrimp and scallops are delicious! We’ve been here two nights in a row and will probably be back tomorrow.
Very good small restaurant. Less touristy than the places on the plaza. Food was great but prices have increased. Well worth it though.
Great food, we had the shrimp with garlic sauce and it hit the spot. Good wine as well.
It was not only the best shrimp I’ve ever had, but the family who runs the restaurant is amazing and we drank tequila all night. This place is why I come to baja. Viva La Baja
Definitely recommend! Ask Rene whatever is fresh that day and have that. So delicious! Loved this place!
Juan de Dios is the BEST host, waiter AND chef. Great food at ridiculously cheap prices. Highly recommended
Authentic local restaurant. Very tasty food, prepared fresh. We had the camarón en ajó and it was delicious! 👌🏻
This little place has the best shrimp in garlic we ate in Baja so far. The owner is great.
Great food and service. The restaurant is just off the plaza in a lovely setting with indoor and outdoor seating. Good margaritas!
Great food, personable service and reasonable prices. And nice outside venue.
Very friendly service, food was good and very affordable. Great chile relleno and we asked for the fish tacos to be pan fried rather than battered and fried and he was very happy to accommodate the request. Margarita was mediocre, tasted like it was made with soda, but besides that beer was cold and food was good.
Juan and his wife have been serving our group for 15+ years! Delightful indoor seating or outdoor patio! We typically stop upon arrival to tell Juan how many people for dinner- this enables him to get fresh fish/vegetables and prepare a wonderful meal!
It's a nice, quaint place with lots of shade and good food. The margaritas are good. Don't let the street dogs scare you off. They're all bark but they quiet down when you get to the restaurant. It was nice and relaxing and the service was great.
No thrills restaurant. Service is great and food was really good! We will definitely come back Tip: always ask for the recommendation of the day
Sweet place in a gorgeous little town. The Chiles Rellenos are some of the best I've ever had!
Excellent seafood and the host mr Rene is very friendly and helpful. The fast wifi earned this place a solid five star rating.
This place just had some appeal to us. It wasn’t busy, not surprising, as it is off the square a bit. An older man took care of us, was attentive and very kind. The margaritas were delicious, but very strong. He said the shrimp was very fresh, so that is what we ordered. It was very tasty. We will be back!
Nice little place. A little rustic, but probably the cheaper restaurant in town. Very nice gentlemen that run the place.
This was the worst food we have had in Mexico. Do NOT go here. We gave our food to the dogs. The oil used with the rice was rancid . It was just very bad.
