Boiling Point San Jose Reviews
Located near the San Jose Costco, delightful dining experience. As someone who typically enjoys tofu stew, I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's impressive array of dishes, particularly their samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and seafood options. The restaurant boasts a welcoming and cozy ambiance, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff is friendly, attentive, and eager to recommend dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience. Seafood Pancake **Flavor:** This dish is a crispy, savory delight. The combination of fresh seafood and green onions creates a flavorful bite that is both slightly sweet and umami-rich. The accompanying dipping sauce adds a tangy, salty kick that complements the pancake perfectly. - Seafood Bibimbap: The seafood bibimbap is a modern twist on a traditional favorite. The fresh seafood provides a natural sweetness, while the vegetables add crunch. The melted cheese introduces a creamy richness, blending harmoniously with the spicy gochujang sauce mixed into the rice. Rating: 5/5recommended for anyone seeking delicious Korean food in the San Jose area.
The best Korean cuisine I've ever had in Bay Area, I had an incredible experience here! The flavors of the Korean dishes were absolutely authentic and delightful. Every bite transported me straight to the heart of Korea. The Galbijjim is really amazing, both me and my wife really enjoyed it
Marcus our server is extremely attentive and was able to meet our party of 12’s needs. I recommend getting the seafood pancake and the galbijim. The seafood pancake was perfectly crispy and came with a nicely paired dipping sauce. The Galbijim had a great flavor and who can say no to cheese. Overall had an amazing time here and would come back!
Came here on Sunday for lunch. It’s in a plaza so there’s a lot of parking spots. You order through the QR code that has the menu online with lots of pictures. We were served some yummy banchan side dishes while we waited for our food. I recommend the Korean style grilled beef with ribs - they torch the cheese on top right in front of you! It’s pretty similar to the kalbijjim from Daeho if you’ve been there before (minus the long wait and hefty price tag). The meat was so tender - fall off the bone tender! We also tried the seafood pancake, squid bibimbap and LA style grilled ribs.
I found this new Korean spot open until 11 PM—perfect for late-night cravings! The highlight was the grilled beef rib, tender and packed with cheesy, spicy flavors. The bibimbap in a hot stone pot was steamy, with a crispy rice crust and fresh ingredients. I loved the simple vibe, spacious seating, and the complimentary side dishes! What I tried: 🇰🇷 Korean-Style Grilled Beef Rib 🇰🇷 Pork Stone Pot Bibimbap 🇰🇷 Oxtail Soup in Stone Pot 🇰🇷 Chive Shrimp Pancake 🇰🇷 Milkis Peach & Banana Soda
This is the first time I come and I definitely in love with it. The dining room appears brand new, with a clean, airy vibe. Two of the store's best-selling items are the seafood bibimbap and beef tofu soup, which we order. Tatse is delicious, and it lets you control the heat level, which is an essential feature for. They come with six banchan dishes and egg (egg comes when you order stone soup). Both the staff and the manager are really kind and friendly. Customers are served promptly and inquiries are addressed with the utmost politeness. I highly recommend this spot if you enjoy Korean food. The best experience ever, thanks to Jeonju.
I recently dined at this restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing—both soup and the perfectly grilled short ribs. The restaurant offers exceptional services too. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. They took the time to explain the menu and offered recommendations. Our server was quick to refill drinks, check in on us, and make sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The food arrived promptly. The staff knows everything about the dishes and were happy to accommodate special requests. Even though they were super busy, they ensure that we had a memorable dining experience. Overall, the delicious food and top-notch service makes this restaurant a must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!
The Korean food is delicious here. It’s a solid option next to Ranch 99. What I like most is the huge portions and great service. I’ve been several times after grocery shopping. I’ve had the galbi-jjim, seafood pancake, stone pot rice, steamed eggs, grilled spareribs, and tofu soup. All the flavors are authentic and tasty. The best part is the cheesy galbi-jjim getting torched in front of your eyes. The banchan (sides) are also excellent. The inside is clean and has a fresh look.
This Korean restaurant just opened in San Jose. The space is clean and modernly designed. They offer a variety of Korean dishes, and I tried a couple. My favorites were the tofu with kimchi and pork belly, and beef soup. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the service was friendly and fast, and the food was very tasty! Glad to have another go-to Korean restaurant in the area, and can’t wait to go back to try more dishes!
First time here, we ordered seafood pancake, ox tail soup, and bulgogi bimbimbap. I absolutely love the authentic flavors. Also their side dishes, I’ve been to many Korean restaurants in Southern California, I’ve never seen a Korean restaurant have a side dish of beef. It was tasty! Everything we ordered was delicious and on point with flavor. Staff is exceptionally attentive and compliments to the chef! Definitely coming back!
We had the pork back soup and seafood bibimbap. Both were REALLY GOOD. I like how the pork soup came out in a bowl that had fuel in a heater to keep it hot as we ate it. The appetizers were also good. We both enjoyed our food and had a lot of leftovers
The moment I had a bite of the kimchi I knew that the quality of the rest of the food would be delicious. When we walked in for an early weekday dinner, we were warmly welcomed by Chris & Ashley. We ordered the small pork backbone soup and the steamed egg cake. The meat was very delicious and came off the bone easily. However, the soup only came with one piece of potato, we wish there was at least one more. Other than, the service from Chris was superb as he was really attentive and helped us to refill the bonchon. Highly recommend!
We got squid stone bibimbap, grilled marble beef brisket, cheesy rice cakes deluxe, and bulgogi japchae it was very good we would definitely come here again food plates are good sizes of ur eating with other people and our favorite was the squid stone and the rice cakes. good service and atmosphere
Very delicious! I loved the kimchi pancake and the bibimbap — both were super crispy and full of flavor. Everything tasted amazing. Will definitely come back again!
Service was really good. Ordered the bibimbap, seafood pancake, and brisket. Brisket was my favorite thing. The pancake is on the thick side. The bibimbap comes with a sauce that’s not too spicy. Recommend getting the brisket.
Loved this place! The food was fresh and flavorful, and the stir-fried squid was amazing. Definitely recommend!
We are vegetarian and we love Korean Bibimbop. This place has authentic bibimbop with Zucchini, carrots, moon beans, reddish, red rice and tofu. Their portion size is large enough for 1 person and some more I guess. We loved and would definitely come back
This was our first time here, and it was an absolute hit! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was super friendly and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. The best part about this place is that they close really late, so it’s a great option for late-night eats. We came here after a workout, and let me tell you, you can’t have a better recovery meal than this one! 🙂
Delicious piping-hot tofu soup and bulgogi. Clean and good atmosphere.
Good portion with clean spacious environment. Gamjjatang (pork bone soup) was flavorful with generous portion. On a cold day it’s perfect.
Good, hearty Korean food served quickly and at a decent price. I really liked the bulgogi. Highly recommend!
Very clean and cute place to eat with caring staff. The dishes came out quickly and the serving size was pretty big! We got the pork tofu soup and bulgogi bibimbap and both were great :))
Everything tastes good. Especially the hotpot. Also love the environment here, feel like holiday is coming. Would come back.

Food was pretty good, though ambience was only okay. Beef tofu soup in stone pot - good Iron plate kimchi pancake - very crunchy and delicious Seafood stone pot bibibap Ambience I found the air to have a lot of oil vapors or something. I kept coughing from something in the air (wasn't sick, no allergies, only had an issue in the restaurant). I could smell things being fried from the kitchen even before our food arrived. It's a shame because the food was good, I would have enjoyed it more.
Galbijjim, aka Korean style grilled beef rib, had fall off the bone meat. The beef had just enough fat to make it yummy but not too much that you get sick of it. The gravy was sweet and just had enough spice. I like that they have sweet potatoes instead of potatoes in the galbijjim. Tteokbokki was just ok; had more spice than seasoning. Spicier than other places with the added jalapeno slices. It was nice that the rice cakes and cheese were included in the galbijjim price instead of additional charge. Will go back to try the short ribs and other stone pot dishes.
Overall, the food is good here but I don't think I would need to come back. Seafood pancake was thick, crunchy and can be shared with a group of 4 or more. For how much you got, there wasn't enough sauce to dip it in. Grilled mackerel was my favorite. It wasn't too salty, crispy on the outside, and had good flavor. I was just disappointed that our plate was taken away, which still had a small piece left and wasn't asked if we were done with it. We got the army stew and it was on the saltier side, which then got saltier once the broth dried up from the stove. It was spicy and had a nice kick. Flavor was good but it was just really salty. The small size was enough for a group of 4. This doesn't feel like an authentic Korean restaurant. They don't see any alcohol like soju. Parking in this plaza can get crazy. With that said, I wouldn't make the extra effort in coming here.
This tofu soup was surprisingly excellent. The broth was rich, savory, and full of depth, clearly made with care rather than shortcuts. The beef was tender and flavorful, soaking up the broth and pairing perfectly with the soft tofu. Simple, comforting, and genuinely memorable.
We had a very wonderful dining experience at Jeonju. The food was delicious and the portion was generous. The side dishes were top notch and refillable. We definitely will come back again to try other dishes.
Jeonju Hostetter is the second location. The first / original location is in Milpitas. It's nice to have a Korean restaurant in this area. It's refreshing to find a Korean restaurant in North East SJ area, as they are not common. We came here on fairly late on a Thursday evening and were surprised to see this place almost at full capacity. They must be doing something right! #JeonjuEats ~ Seafood Tofu Soup in Stone Pot - 4.5/5 Brilliant Seafood Tofu Soup. Those freaking Stone Pots...your food will not cool down. Make sure you put some in your bowl and wait for a couple minutes before you dig in...or you can burn your tongue like me...lol. Tasty, delicate and very satisfying. I just wish the portions were bigger... #LifeOfAFatty ~ Iron Plate Seafood Pancake - 2/5 This was unfortunately a disappointment. I usually love Korean Seafood Pancakes. I read some other glowing reviews, unfortunately this was not our experience. We really wanted to like this. The Seafood Pancake was just too Oily and didn't have enough seafood in it. I'm hoping they were off on this one... No issues returning. the staff was friendly and service was fine. I'll try the Seafood Pancake again...hopefully next time I'll have a better experience.
No service whatsoever other than bringing food you ordered by scanning the QR code to your table! Not deserve any tips in my opinion because the waiter not even once comes to our table to ask if everything is okay! But don’t get me wrong, the food is delicious but bit on the pricey side! I may just order to-go next time because I don’t need no service at all. None anyway ~
A Korean restaurant run by Chinese owners. The kimchi is awful, with an overly fermented taste. The soybean sprouts taste bad, like dishwater from washing pots. The purple rice is very hard. The seafood pancake is decent, but the dipping sauce tastes off—not the right flavor. It’s more salty than tangy and fragrant. The sizzling squid is tasty, though it leans more toward a Chinese-style flavor—worth ordering. Didn’t dare try the tofu stew, afraid it would be far from what I imagined. The environment and service are average. The restroom is usable. Tips are entered on a machine, calculated after tax, with a minimum of 15%.
My friends and I went here for my birthday celebration. This was a spot we started seeing pop up on social media, so a birthday is a good reason to try. We ordered our usual, which consisted of seafood pancake, seafood tofu soup, bulgogi, and stir fried squid. Seafood pancake was crispy so it had a good crunch, but flavor was one note Bulgogi was decent, nothing spectacular with the flavors. Kalbi was similar. The stir fried squid was good! Squid itself wasn't too chewy, and had well rounded flavors and a little spicy kick. I love a good spicy kick. Service was typical of an Asian restaurant, so not much to say there. Their bathroom had an "out of service" sign, yet staff were seen in and out of it. Not sure if they didn't want any customers to use it, or didn't want to clean it, or if it was staff only use. Brought that up because there were a few customers asking about it, and my pregnant friend needed to use the bathroom. Definitely an inconvenience. Bottom line: not particularly outstanding. We won't be back, and that was a group participation. (IG: nokrapreviews)
Online Takeout order: never had an issue eating in person, but they ran out of kimchi and were unable to make the Spicy Kimchi Tofu Soup in Stone Pot , but they had confirmed the order. had to order something else when I got there for pickup so it took extra time when I was on a schedule. since no kimchi, the Spicy Kimchi Stone Pot Bibimbap didn't have kimchi and it was also cold and the rice hard, as if it had been refrigerated from the night before. again, never had issues when eating in but take out was a poor experience.
Thought we'd give this new place a try and were disappointed. The food we ordered tasted ok, more on the greasy side. The side dishes were ok, not outstanding. Service was sparse and sometimes felt unnatural (maybe they were new to food service?) For this price point we prefer Shin's Tofu across the street
We first stop by Jeonju on a Saturday but it was a bit crowded so we came back on a Tuesday night around 6pm and not too busy. We generally enjoyed our meal. Got the seafood pancake $22.99, ox tail soup $27.99, LA style grilled rubs $31.99 and Bossam pork $35.99. Food came quickly after ordering. Good Korean spot if you don’t want to drive far.

we got lucky with a small table upon arrival at a Sunday lunchtime. Family oriented spot with 2010s hits playing. If you’re okay with kids, tight sitting, loud tunes, and bland food then give it a shot. I totally won’t come back. Tofu soup is watered down and lacked seafood freshness. The rice served with was terrible, it felt like it had been sitting for a very long time, all clumped together at the bottom, not fresh and even serve up to customer. Bibimbap was sweet due to excessive cheese on top. No service at all. Had to ask for utensils and water cup twice, no refill for sides. Overall lacking in service. Not recommended unless you’re looking for non-authentic Korean food.
The service was poor and the food was cold. Sorry, but this place really needs improvement. The waitress spoke poor English, didn’t know the menu well, was wearing earpods, and had their hair left loose. Even the dumplings were completely cold.

Came here during lunch on President’s Day because everywhere else had long waitlists. This place was completely empty, which should’ve been my first red flag. The floor was greasy and there was food left on the ground. I almost left but stayed because I was starving. Ordered the beef bibimbap and soft tofu soup. Food came out after about 15 minutes and looked fine, but the bibimbap had no sauce, so I asked for hot sauce. The waitress said they were out of hot sauce. At a Korean restaurant. She then explained the restaurant was recently sold and their supply chain is failing — no hot sauce, no veggies, no beef, etc. That honestly made me question what I was even being served. If you can’t get basic ingredients or keep the place clean, you shouldn’t be open. Definitely would not recommend coming here, don’t order delivery either.
Terrible customer service. This is my third experience at this location. First time in restaurant, food was great service was great. Second time in restaurant, dishes were hit and miss but service was terrible. Third time ordered on their website and picked up in store. Got there and only one dish was made. Staff were unapologetic that the order was not placed and proceeded to make the order. Upon my surprise at home, they did not provide the dish that was ordered. Main ingredient was squid with rice cakes. We got fish cake with rice cakes. Drove all the way back to the restaurant, because calling their phone nonstop for 10 minutes did not result in anyone picking up, and the same female staff said oh we are out of squid in a so what I don't care attitude and you should be lucky that you got something. Needless to say will never eat here again. And to boot the restaurant was empty...
Absolutely disgusting. There were hundreds of tiny bugs floating in the soup. We didn’t realize right away because we genuinely thought they were spices, that’s how many there were. When we finally figured it out and reported it, the staff didn’t even apologize. No concern, no accountability, nothing. Just shrugged it off like this was normal. This wasn’t a small mistake, it was shocking, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Avoid at all costs.
I ordered an Army Stew Pot today around 6:00 PM on 01/30 (Online Order #122938902). Unfortunately, I found at least two strands of hair in the food. Due to food safety concerns, I had to discard the entire dish. This experience was unacceptable. I tried calling the restaurant but couldn’t get through. I also went to the restaurant in person to report the issue, but the manager was not available. I left my contact information, but no one has followed up with me. I’ve attached photos for reference and would like to request a full refund. Please let me know how to proceed.
Would give it 0 stars if I could. I used their website to order. Placed the order and went to pick it up later. When I get there, the order was ready, but the bag was so small. I ordered 4 items plus an extra rice. Spoke with the lady at the counter and after over 5 minutes found out that the items I ordered were sold out. Why was I not notified or why was it even order-able directly from their website. I'll now need to call the billing on the website to get a refund. They can't even refund me there. On top of all of this, there was only one lady working in the front of the house and she did not speak English. Poor lady was so confused, so I didn't make a big deal out of it. I'll call the number or worst case file a chargeback with my credit card.
The squid dish was served on the chipped plate so we have them change it. I don’t want to die eating it and swallow some broken plate pieces. There’s fleas around the table which keep on flying around our food. The squid was chewy. The first time we were here was good but it all went down hill!
