I always come here for salmon. My beat favorite combo is salmon and side dish mushroom. Mushroom is a little but salty, but overall still very good!

The five stars are for the carpaccio alone. I’m not into raw meat but the meat didn’t feel raw at all. And with pickled vegetables, berries and garlic salt, it tasted heavenly. Cowboy steak was great too. Filet mignon was okay, the rub was a little bitter for my taste.

Came here for business, so didn’t pay so my review isn’t based on value for money. Upon entering you are greeted with a nice and classy restaurant on Santana Row. The waiter we had was super friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks menu, and even the source of the Parmesan cheese in the truffle fries. I ordered a medium rare ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly as expected. I enjoyed it with the bearnaise sauce and Mac n cheese on the side. We got a Shiraz from Adelaide Australia for some dumb reason (as we are from Australia) but it was nice. Dessert was also great as I got the chocolate and butterscotch warm bread pudding.

Dinning here tonight had all the elements of surprise, eccentric, elegance and superb service. George was the expert tonight who kindly gave us recommendations, suggestions and also who have had a hand in crafting some of these delicious cocktails. Brussell sprouts were very delicious and light, wonderful texture and flavor. We also enjoyed our buttery and citrus scallops. They were cooked to perfection. The scallops were slightly seared top and bottom ever so delicately, every bite was euphporic, you will want more. The STEAK EXPERIENCE... We ordered the COWBOY. I never thought a "cowboy" could taste so bloody incredible. My words are limited and cannot fully convey this beauty, this is something you would NEED to experience on your own. All I can say is WOW, MORE PLEASE, DELICIOUS and endless mmmmms! A memorable experience for sure, one for the books. I invite you to taste it, savor it and above all ENJOY it! Last but not least for dessert we went with the bread pudding. I regret not taking a picture before we dove in but we had to stop ourselves to capture it and my pic does not do this beautiful dessert justice. Bon Appetite

Wonderful restaurant, the service is top notch, the food is perfect in every aspect, cooking/serving/looks. If you're in SJ you have to give it a try if you're a steak lover. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The best service hands down, myself and wifey came thru for her birthday and had some steak and appetizers, all around 10/10 and Amanda the manger had great customer service and check on us to see how we were doing . We will return again soon

We've dined-in at LB Steak serveral times during the pandemic and gotten takeout twice. I highly recommend the takeout, as the meals held up well during travel and were still hot and tasty when we got home. The first time we dined in we were seated on the sidewalk, which I found uncomfortably close to passing traffic. The second time they had re-arranged and put us under a large canopy with plenty of distancing, which I felt much better about. The food is excellent but expensive. The quality is very high though and certainly worth the premium price if you can swing it. I've always just gotten one of the steaks and every time it's grilled perfectly medium-rare, just like I ordered it. I've tried both the bearnaise sauce and the blue cheese butter and they are both excellent, so I imagine the bordelaise and peppercorn sauces are too.

My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic date and it surpassed our expectations. Big shout out to our waiter Hector for making it a wonderful experience. He accommodated us and made us feel super welcomed. Will come back soon!

The cocktails are well prepared. The fries and fried calamari are simple and tasty, the beef tartare has rich and balanced flavor, the, and the mac and cheese is authentic and delicious.

Great steak restaurant. There were a few issues. But overall worth it. I'd go again! The greats were the wagu carpaccio. It was stunning. Lots of gluten-free choices. So flavorful, rich and delicate with pops of house made pickled vegetables, including grapes yumm! The oysters were disappointing, not flavorful and they were not cleaned properly. And I had a steak salad, it was a smaller size ny strip, which was wonderful! Cooked perfectly, and so delicious. And with greens with a house made green goddess dressing which is the Best green goddess I've had since living in Connecticut. It was fantastic!

Reserved the place in advance for dinner on a special occasion. We were seated on time and I felt inside was better than outside. They do have outside patio area seating as well. Great wine selection. All appetizers were good. We specially had steak and paired with red wine. Tomahawk size was massive and can feed 2 easily.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner. We got the bone marrow appetizer. We both got steaks, 1 dry aged and one not. We found the dry-aged steak better tasting. It was cooked perfectly medium as well. We got the LB potato and Brussel sprouts as sides. Both were really good, but don't mix the brussel sprouts in with the sauce. There was too much in the bowl and the flavor of the sauce was overpowering.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at LB Steak on Santana Row, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its reputation as a top-tier steakhouse. I ordered the Filet Mignon and the New York Steak, both of which were absolutely delicious. The Filet Mignon was tender, perfectly cooked to my preference, and bursting with flavor. The New York Steak had a rich, robust taste, with just the right amount of char. It’s clear that LB Steak knows how to handle their cuts of meat, delivering a dining experience that steak lovers will appreciate. To complement my meal, I tried the Lemon Drop, which was a delightful surprise. It was perfectly balanced, with a bright, refreshing lemony flavor that made it an instant favorite. I also enjoyed the “Get Away” drink—another winner. The mixology here is on point, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. The sides, however, deserve just as much praise. The Mac and Cheese was creamy and indulgent, with a comforting richness that paired perfectly with the steaks. The Truffle Fries were another highlight, crispy and aromatic with just the right amount of truffle essence. Overall, LB Steak delivered a stellar dining experience, with exceptional food and drinks that left me more than satisfied. Whether you’re a steak aficionado or simply looking for a great meal in a sophisticated setting, LB Steak on Santana Row is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Prime rib eye steak is very delicious! Highly recommend. Generally good place for steak, with good vibe and service. Dessert is bit too sweet. Street parking is just 1hour. You can park to the parking lot opposite to the street, which is also free.

Wonderful spot for a delicious steak. I had a new steak for LB (note: the pictures of menus here are dated as they changed yesterday). It was good and unique. The aging gave a different flavor profile. The server, who was great warned me. +1 to many of the prior comments. The food is a bit salty and the reving motors get old. The creme brulee is wonderful but not still warm from flame so not sure if freshly done. The vanilla flavors were wonderful.

My husband and I have come here twice on our appetizer crawl through Santana row, (this is actually our second stop) and we are never disappointed with the steak tartare. You have to get it. It's worth it. Beautiful craft cocktails and friendly bar staff. Great place.

Came here for my birthday. Fantastic service, the steak was amazing (we shared a wagu between the two of us and it was plenty). The truffle fries are nice but I should have ordered a salad to add a bit of freshness to the palette as you eat the steak. They also bring out this warm bread with olives and butter at the start which was wow. For starters we got bone marrow but they added too much sauce on top and it was difficult to taste the marrow underneath it. So would recommend they reduce the ratio of sauce (tho delicious) Desert was nice and they gave us one on the house because of my birthday which was very sweet of them! Price came out at $190 excl tip. So, it's pricey but happy with the quality of service from the waiter and the lovely food.

I had the Waygu steak and it was something amazing. Medium well a little red and juicy just like most of us steak lovers like. The side of finger licking potatoes were just the right amount of crispy. Prices are definitely not for the faint of heart but if you love a good steak worth every penny.

I had the filet minion, and 3 kids shared the 48oz tomahawk steak. The tomahawk had 4 different kinds of salts. Which helped make each steak cut flavor differently. The service was a little slow but polite. He had to attend to different sections of the restaurant. He made up for it in the end.

We had a wonderful experience at LB Steak the other night, the atmosphere was great, not too stuffy and perfect for a DateNight! They have a pretty extensive wine list, and from what I could see, the Bar looked pretty well stocked too. We ordered a couple glasses of the Benton Lane Pinot Noir, which was delicious and then decided to order a whole bottle. My husband had the Boneless Ribeye and I had the petite Filet Mignon, both meats were juicy and tender, cooked to perfection. It definitely satisfied our “steak jones” we ordered the Mac and Cheese to share, which is served “Family style.” Let me tell you, I would go back just for another helping of the Mac and Cheese, it was so yummy, the noodles were cooked perfectly and the cheese blend was amazing! We loved everything about the Mac and Cheese! We ended our night with dessert, I had the fruit Crème Brûlée and my husband had the Chocolate Molten Cake and both were outstanding! Perfect yummy ending to a perfect evening!

We celebrated a birthday at LB and had a memorable experience. My bill was insane $$$$$ but I knew this going into the restaurant. We made a reservation and ordered appetizers (calamari and some deli meat dish- can’t remember name), drinks, and the Tomahawk steak along with broccolini and mushrooms. The food was excellent and I’m happy I didn’t have issues given the price I was paying. We also got to meet the manager. He was walking around the tables checking in on everyone. This is probably the most expensive steak house I have ever eaten at.

Came here after a work event to eat. Food was great! I ordered a bone marrow and scallop appetizer, and a ribeye with a side of mushrooms. I was able to share these with 3 others and get pretty full. We ended up ordering 3 desserts as well and that gold dusted Elvis-brownie-ice cream-bacon dessert was so extravagant! The cavity I got from it was so worth it.... Service was top notch too!

Very pleasant experience. Attentive waitress. Shockingly not crowded during our Saturday noon lunch visit. I ordered the Butternut Squash soup. Wish I hadn't. It arrived lukewarm and was pretty bland. Love the choices of free bread; jalapeno cornbread, olive bread & others. I enjoyed the Wedge Salad totally. Waitress heard us mention we were celebrating our friend's birthday and brought a complementary celebratory dessert for the three of us at the end of the meal, which was a very nice surprise. **UPDATE: Our server/waitress' name was Felicia! She knows her stuff👍💐

For our 25th anniversary, the husband and I went to LB Steak to celebrate. We had gone for our 15th anniversary and had such a good experience, it seemed so appropriate. The service was welcoming and thorough without being obtrusive. We had the lobster bisque, frito misto, and seared pork belly as appetizers, followed by the 35 Day Dry Aged boneless rib eye with Point Reyes Blue cheese butter for both of us with truffle fries and fried brussel sprouts with a sweet chili sauce for the main course. Did I mention the champagne and ale that we enjoyed? We rounded out the meal with the chocolate and butterscotch bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. And because it was our anniversary, they presented us with a signed card and 2 glasses of Prosecco on the house! So much amazing food! We felt attended to without feeling suffocated, so it was the perfect balance of service. We will be going back again for our next major milestone!

I travel around the US and eat at high end restaurants. This place really made a huge impression on me. The service was excellent! My server was Jaime T. Ask for him, he is the best! I ordered the New York Strip and it was delicious!! Highly recommend this place!

Great meats, which is really all you need from a steakhouse! Ambiance and decor are beautiful too, and service is prompt and attentive. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the wagyu burger really good. They have a couple of seafood options which are okay, but not as good as the meats - stick with those and you won't be disappointed!

My BFF Rob surprised me for my birthday. It was amazing and worth the price. We both ordered the same dinner. Our waitress April made experience ever better. We told her it was our first time. So she explained the menu in detail. We loved April smile, eager to help, and wide knowledge of the entire menu. The atmosphere was so comfortable, I loved the glass folding wall that opens to the breezeway. The wine wall cabinet I fell in love with. Everyone was so friendly and inviting, our aged ribeye steak with the blue cheese butter, macaroni and cheese is so delicately light and delicious, we both said we can't wait to come back here. Highly suggest this beautiful LB STEAK restaurant.

Great location. As you can see in the photos I ate outside along the street. I like watching the action and there’s plenty of it there. Well prepared filet mignon and mashed potatoes were great. I finished off with an espresso. Staff and food are high-quality. If you are between this place and another place to go, choose this one.

Loved it here! Steaks were 10/10! Mac and cheese was delicious. The vibe was nice and romantic/intimate. Great location, easy to find. Definitely would go back! The service has provided was also awesomeee, you don’t actually get good service everywhere but our server and the others had a smile on their face which is nice to see! They also celebrated my birthday with a free dessert, I REALLY had a great experience here.

They serve high quality steaks here! The first time visited the restaurant, we ordered a la carte. Started with salad and bone marrow, in which, the marrow was broiled topped with some sort of sauce that compliments the fat of the bone, while the heirloom salad cleanses the palate. Tomahawk was tender and juicy, but I personally enjoyed the dry aged ribeye. The second visit, we ordered their set menu. Awesome experience and generous with portions of food. Food: Excellent Service: Good Ambiance: Excellent

What a great experience at this place. Drinks, food and service were amazing. Emanuel took care of us with great hospitality and explain all of ours question gently. We started with some cocktails and a wagyu carpaccio that’s was fenomenal. Then, we got a roasted bone marrow that was good too. Then the Maia dish we both choose a NY steadier with Brussels sprouts and loaded baked potato nd everything was AMAZING. So I highly recommend this spot that you literally you paid for what you get. The best steak house I ever experienced here. You must try. Oops .. something in the other side … lol .. the restrooms need some update it doesn’t fit with the whole place atmosphere …. But it doesn’t mess with everything else. 10/10.

Wonderful location for a business meal. I came for a team dinner and had a wonderful meal. The service was friendly and prompt, the drinks and appetizers were fun and tasty, and the mains were delish. It was cool enough that we were able to sit outside which has a more casual vibe than the main restaurant. Highly recommend!

Came for my birthday. Our server, Kristy was sweet, efficient, attentive from start to finish. Food is important, for sure, but service takes it from good to better to best. My wife and I planned a getaway for our wedding anniversary to Santana Row. We made recreation L.B. Steakhouse, and they didn't let us down. We were promptly seated and welcome with Champagne and a card signed by the staff. Our waiter was fantastic, pleasant, and took great care of us, making sure we were well taken care of. He took our order, which started with a ceviche dish with a great presentation and lots of flavor. This was followed by a wedged salad split for the 2 of us, as well as the main dish, a 14 Oz boneless rib eye stake that was to die for with 3 scallops. We accompanied the main course with a bottle of Vange. Good thing we shared our meal. We wouldn't have room for the chocolate lava cake. As for price, it was about $100 each, but the experience was priceless. Will be back for sure.

Went here for a team dinner and it was a great choice. The service was superb and they took great care of us. My steak (filet) was cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare, and the truffle fries (that can be shared) are a must. The pork belly and lobster bisque are great appetizer choices. The bread was fresh and flavorful and the crème brûlée for dessert was very tasty.

During my recent visit to Santana Row, I had the pleasure of dining at L.B. Steak, a refined yet approachable steakhouse that perfectly blends elegance with comfort. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of phenomenal, and it’s a spot I highly recommend to anyone exploring the vibrant streets of Santana Row. Fritto Misto We began our meal with the Fritto Misto, a delightful combination of calamari, prawns, and shishito peppers, all fried to crispy perfection. The light batter allowed the freshness of the seafood to shine through, while the shishito peppers added a subtle heat that balanced the dish wonderfully. The accompanying Green Goddess sauce was the perfect complement—creamy, tangy, and herby—enhancing each bite with a burst of flavor. This dish was a fantastic start to our meal and set the tone for what was to come. Roasted Bone Marrow Next, we indulged in the Roasted Bone Marrow, a dish that truly exemplifies the richness of flavor L.B. Steak is known for. The bone marrow was expertly roasted to achieve a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth consistency, which paired beautifully with the zesty chimichurri. The surprising addition of lemon curd brought a unique citrus brightness that cut through the richness, creating a perfectly balanced bite. Spread over a slice of toasted baguette, this dish was pure decadence—rich, savory, and absolutely delicious. A must-try for anyone who appreciates bold, well-thought-out flavors. Tomahawk Rib Eye for Two The highlight of the evening, however, was the Tomahawk Rib Eye for Two. This impressive 48 oz Angus beef cut was cooked to absolute perfection. The steak was beautifully seared on the outside, locking in all its juices, while remaining tender and perfectly medium-rare on the inside. Each slice was packed with robust, beefy flavor—exactly what one hopes for in a premium cut. The presentation was equally stunning, making it not only a meal but an experience. Perfectly portioned for sharing, it’s a dish that demands to be enjoyed slowly, savoring each bite with great company. Wine List and Pairing One of the standout features of L.B. Steak is its incredible wine list. With an extensive selection of wines from around the world, there is something to suit every palate and preference. For those who enjoy pairing each course with a different wine, the option to choose by the glass is ideal. The sommelier’s recommendations were spot on, and we found the wine pairings to be an excellent value for the quality offered. It’s evident that great care is taken in curating a wine list that complements the menu perfectly, enhancing the overall dining experience. L.B. Steak is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where exceptional food, a warm atmosphere, and attentive service come together to create a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re a local or visiting Santana Row, this is one spot you don’t want to miss. With dishes that delight from start to finish and a wine list that promises the perfect pairing, L.B. Steak has earned a top spot on my list of recommended restaurants in the area. I’ll certainly be back, and I encourage others to discover the magic for themselves!

This place was off the charts good - Food, Service, and Atmosphere. We started off with the seared pork belly appetizer (MAPLE GLAZED, SAVORY BREAD PUDDING, SUNNY SIDE UP EGG). Then, on to the main entrees, Filet Mignon & Rib Eye. The meats were superior in quality, cooked the right way, at the proper temperature, and absolutely delicious. The sides (Asparagus and Brussel Sprouts) were very tasty, too. OH, and the Baked Alaska was DIVINE!!!

Steaks were cooked exactly how we asked, the ribeye had perfect marbling. Sides like the truffle fries were addictive. Place has a nice upscale feel without being too stuffy, good for a celebration. Waiter knew the menu inside out.

📍 334 Santana Row, San Jose, CA 95128 I finally made a reservation at L.B. Steak on Santana Row, and let me tell you it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was modern, elegant, and warm… the perfect setting for a special night out. This modern American steakhouse is known for its hand-cut Prime Angus steaks and their incredible A5 Japanese Wagyu all cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. First things first… you HAVE to order the LB Steak Bread Basket. It’s freshly made, warm, and literally melts in your mouth. One of the best bread baskets I’ve had in a long time. We kicked off the meal with the Maine Lobster Bisque, followed by Brussels Sprouts, the Sautéed White Gulf Prawns, and of course, the Crispy Calamari every dish was so well-seasoned and delicious. Then came the star of the night: the LB Signature Steak the Ribeye Westholme, Australian Wagyu with their house marinade. You guys… this steak was unreal. Juicy, tender, and full of rich flavor. You cannot miss this one. And you know we didn’t leave without dessert. We went all in on an unforgettable dessert spread: Cheesecake, Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, Almond Butter Cake, Chocolate Cake, Bread Pudding, and the Fresh Fruit Tart. Every single one was decadent and melt In your mouth good. Every bite of this experience felt like a celebration. It’s elevated yet relaxed perfect for date night, birthdays, or anytime you want a truly amazing steakhouse experience. If you’re in the South Bay and looking for a spot that will impress, L.B. Steak is absolutely worth the visit.

The 2 best reasons to visit LB Steak in Santana Row - the filet mignon and our server Corinne. She was absolutely awesome from paying attention to the notes I had on my OpenTable reservation to helping me with an issue at the end with my bill. She have just the right amount of attention throughout our dinner and she knew so much about the menu, accommodating my dietary restrictions. The petite filet mignon was coooked to perfection and the most tender steak ever. My sexy date loved his branzino and lobster bisqute. The oysters and garlic mushrooms stood out enough to mention here and the vibe was romantic, comfortable, with a really pretty ambiance.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I had an amazing dining experience at LB Steak, Santana Row! We started with the fresh oysters on ice, which were so refreshing and perfectly paired with the sauces. The highlight was the filet mignon, cooked to absolute perfection — tender, juicy, and paired beautifully with both the mushroom sauce and the peppercorn sauce. The loaded baked potato was rich and comforting, topped with creamy cheese and fresh chives, while the sautéed mushrooms added a perfect earthy balance. To finish, the Spiced Chocolate Cake was unforgettable — warm, rich, and complemented with miso caramel and fresh strawberries. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. A wonderful spot for a memorable meal — highly recommend LB Steak at Santana Row for anyone looking for top-quality food and a great atmosphere!

A bougie steak house on the corner of Santana Row so you know what to expect. Overall it was pretty solid, great atmosphere with good service. The steak was on par for what I'd expect from a place like this. Pricing wise it's around the norm for a steak house so is worth a visit.

The best steak you can ever eat. I love my steak and eating a good steak is an experience I seek during all my travels. LB Steak always comes on the top of my list. The whole experience exceeded my expectation. The quality of service is amazing. Staff are friendly and take their time to talk about meat cuts side options to make sure you are enjoying the food and ambiance. LB Steak never disappoints. I came back to visit after several years and the standard is the same if not better. I Highly recommend this place for all steak lovers and people who want the best steakhouse experience!

My wife and I had an amazing dinner at LB Steak in Santana Row. We ordered the boneless ribeye and filet mignon, both cooked well done—and they still turned out incredibly tender and flavorful, which is no easy feat. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and seasoned, and the truffle fries added a rich, savory touch to the meal. The atmosphere was classy yet comfortable, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Great spot for a date night or any special occasion. Highly recommend!

This is one of the top 3 steakhouses in the Bay Area for atmosphere and friendliness. It was a really delicious and enjoyable dinner. We visited for my husband's birthday and everyone was very satisfied. The truffle mushrooms and brussels sprouts were especially delicious. The steak was good, but it was a bit fatty. The atmosphere is great, so I highly recommend visiting for a special occasion.

The food was incredible. The steak tartare was incredibly delicious and paired really well with the truffle sauce. The Australian Wagyu was very tender and juicy. We ordered bone marrow and the bone came with a little bit of meat that was very chewy and delectable. The cake was not too sweet which made it a perfect pair with the ice cream. Our server was incredible as well; he helped us get our wagyu cut, and quickly followed up when he realized it wasn’t cut. Overall a great experience!

First time here, pretty good food and nice decor. My kid's burger was over cooked, but once we let the server know, he exchanged it right away. Will go back again to try other things on the menu.

Oookay! This is the best customer service I've ever had in my life. Though that may partially be due to my guest and I sitting at the bar. On this particular Saturday night, there were 3 bartenders attending to the bar, and each of them took turns making friendly conversation or serving us. On that night, my guest and I ordered a the white gulf prawns and a side of Mac and cheese as an appetizer. Both were delivered to us by a buzzer after about 5 minutes. The macaroni was okay, and the prawns were good, but unfortunately were already lukewarm when they reached us. Shortly after finishing our plates, one of the bartenders cleared our places and another reset the bartop with new silverware. About 8 minutes later we received our entries which were a Wagyu burger with a side of truffle fries, and a leg of lamb with a side salad. My guest's lamb was tender and juicy and all the greens for his salad were fresh. My Wagyu burger was good, though I think it could have been a bit more flavorful. My truffle too richies however were ace. Lastly, we topped off the meal with their popular 'Elvis Sundae' which was 'million dollar bacon' and gold flakes on it. One of the bartenders described it as 'Very instagrammable' and indeed it is. $22 is a lot for an ice cream but it was worth it, my guest and I inhaled it, it was so delicious and too rich, which is how I feared it might be. Another thing I forgot to mention-at the start of our meal, I ordered a virgin matcha mojito. The combination of the vanilla cream in it was perfect, and made the drink so satisfying. My guest enjoyed it as well and he even ended up ordering one for himself later. At the end of our meal, as we were getting ready to leave, one of the bartenders noticed I had been sneezing and handed me a stack of napkins to take with me. So thoughtful. When we actually left, all three bartenders and the host made sure to say good night and wish us well. Overall stellar customer service, and the food is good, though not yet great.

A restaurant with very nice atmosphere but I felt the food falls short of expectations considering it’s price and location. The steaks portion seems small for what we ordered.

LB Steak was really good. The parking is always a nightmare, but Uber it there and you have no problem. My family ordered the kombujima, grilled salmon, wagyu burger, bronzina fish, summer salad. We also tried their calamari, truffle fries and flat bread. Over all everything tasted good! Portion sizes are fairly decent, and every thing is pricey. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind spending a little extra $$ and who also doesn't cook their own steak at home!

Best steak i have had hands down. Good fast service with some of the best cuts of meat in the area, fresh seafood and overall fresh and quality products combined with good presentation makes this a must visit. Must tries include their wagyu carpaccio for appetizer, dry aged pork cooked medium rare for entree with their truffle fries as side followed by crème brûlée for dessert. Their tuna and shrimp are a great try as well and must be appreciated for their freshness. Go visit this place if you are visiting Santana row region in San Jose, CA

First experience for kids. Tried ribeye steak, chicken tenders, Mac and cheese. Oysters. Truffle fries. Beetroot salad. All quite good. Dessert was a bit letdown. Chocolate molten cake was not molten. Baked Alaska had but too much rum to my liking. Good ambience. Surprising good collection of mocktails.

I’ve ordered New York Strip with pepercorn sauce on side and also bone marrow and parmesan fries. Starting from bone marrow, the portion was good ; however , our bone marrow was cold. It was clear that the marrow was prepared before hand and they just heat it up, but I think they didn’t put it in oven long enough. The steak was cooked to the perfection, the downside was it was not seasoned at all. Parmesan fried was okay.

Great food and service. I ordered the dry aged ribeye and it was tasty. I requested medium but it was closer to medium well. Truffle fries are a must and surprisingly the onion rings were great. Mashed potatoes are just okay. Had some leftovers but they didn’t ask if we wanted to box it and just tossed it.

We came here for dinner on a week-day. There were many people, even during the pandemic. Seared pork belly and Chocolate lava cake (One of the best I ever had) were amazing. Both Rib-eye steak and NY strip steak were decent, not great. The service was good, overall we had a good time. Outdoor seating is nice and warm.

The atmosphere and service at L.B Steak are the best in San Jose. This is my second visit. Although the prices are on the high side, the waitresses and atmosphere are of a high standard. But on this visit I was disappointed. For my menu, I ordered the Tomahawk Rib Eye Steak, cooked medium rare. As you can see in the picture, it looked very appetizing, but the tendons in the meat ruined my entire meal. The tendons of the tough meat did not chew well and were difficult to cut even with a knife. I was so dissatisfied that I doubted whether this steak, which cost $140 for 2 people per plate, was the right price for that day. The last photo is a photo of the steak I had left after finishing my meal because my jaw was so sore that I couldn't eat it.

Great steak place. High quality meat and what a wine list! Service is also good, albeit a bit slow. This might be an occasional thing as we were a large group, so no bad words there. Was a bit on the expensive side, but its location made that justifiable.

The food was good but not spectacular, or worth the price point to be honest. If you're a big fan of the A5 Wagyu then you'll like this place. The service was excellent.

Ribeye was wonderful as was the sauté spinach. But the booth they seated our party of 4 in was terrible. I don’t know why I didn’t ask to be moved. There is a leg under the table that inhibits movement of your legs. I had to lay on the bench to get my foot around it. I don’t know why we were put in such an uncomfortable situation. So go for the steak, but ask for a table not a booth.

Great upscale steakhouse. Steaks of good quality and properly cooked. Sauces are not needed. Watch for the living wage surcharge that is added to the bill.

Went there for team lunch before the winter holidays. Overall, food tasted ok for the price they charge. It's not living up to the hype of high-end steak. The wait staff seemed understaffed and overwhelmed even though we had made a reservation for a large group and they knew we were coming

🥩 Happy Hour Excellence: The happy hour at LB Steak is truly great, offering a strong selection of both food and drink options. It's a fantastic way to experience the quality of the restaurant without the full dinner price. 💰 Price & Value: While the standard menu is on the costlier side, the overall experience justifies the price. The quality of the food, combined with the ambiance, service, and prime location, makes it feel like a worthwhile treat. ✨ Ambiance & Location: The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance that complements its Santana Row location. It's a perfect spot for a special dinner or to enjoy the lively atmosphere of the area. The interior is elegant and inviting. 😊 Service: The service is a standout feature. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and contributes to a first-class dining experience. 👍 Overall Impression: LB Steak is a place that delivers on its promises. The excellent happy hour is a major draw, and the high-quality ambiance, service, and location make the higher price point for dinner entirely justifiable. A fantastic choice for a celebratory meal or a special night out.

We got the L.B. signature steak and the 35 day aged (which was my personal favorite) The steaks were delicious, perfectly cooked, seasoned, the steak sauces/ array of salts paired so well. It was a wonderful dinner experience, the waiters were very courteous and consistent in checking up on us. The sides were personally not my cup of tea, hence the 4 stars. We chose the truffle fries, truffle mushrooms, and Mac and cheese sides. Anything with truffle was prepared with a truffle oil I believe, so the fries and mushrooms were on the oily side. The cheesecake with orange marmalade and miso caramel was very yummy as well.

Very convenient parking in santana row. Call in for reservations or use open table. Food and service were both good. Atmosphere was a bit loud and so wont call it a quiet dinner. Not much in the wagyu bone marrow and the dirty martini is a drink best avoided. Steak, scallops, fish are good. Bread basket a guilty pleasure with creamy butter.

Katelyn was a great server (Sunday, 6/29/20 evening); kudos to Katelyn. Outdoor dining during the current pandemic was interesting; probably not ideal but it worked. The Maine lobster bisque was okay but not worth the investment. The Japanese wagyu was good/tasty but the boneless ribeye was much better bang for the buck. Dessert options were limited and uninspiring, so we passed. Not sure it is fair to assess under the current conditions but it was still a premium priced meal. As far as fine dining experiences goes, I might prefer Alexander’s over LB but the last time I went to Alexander’s was pre-pandemic. I did go to LB once before many years ago but it doesn’t stick out in my head; so, I feel a 3 star rating is appropriate.

Nice place. Menu is little limited and Steak quality wasn't the best. However overall good experience. Ambience is good for business meetings. Service was Ok. For the price I expect little better quality and service. If I compare this place with Morton's, Ruth Chris or Donovan I will would prefer any of these over LB steak. Had fun though.

Just okay for the price – not what we expected We dined at LB Steak Santana Row on Saturday evening with a 7 p.m. reservation and left feeling underwhelmed. Our server spoke quickly and was hard to understand, never shared any specials, and didn’t set the tone for a high-end steakhouse experience. The evening started with a drink mishap: we ordered two cocktails, but only one arrived. The second took over 10–15 minutes to appear—by then, the first was watered down. The bread basket came without butter, and when we asked, it took a while to get it. When our entrées arrived, the steaks—a petite filet and a ribeye—were simply plated, looking more like two plain pieces of meat than a signature steakhouse presentation. The lobster mac & cheese was dry and lacked flavor, though the miso corn was a bright spot. There was no follow-up on cocktails or even a basic water refill during our meal. The manager made a quick “everything okay?” stop but didn’t engage or seem interested in feedback. For the premium pricing, we expected polished service and elevated food. Instead, it felt more like a strip-mall dinner than the sophisticated experience their website promises. We won’t be rushing back.

For some reason when I see the word steakhouse as a part of the name, I automatically assume that the restaurant is known for its high quality steaks, because the name indicates that this is what they specialize in. Well, not this one unfortunately, despite the steak options on the menu, the quality was in my view below standard. Fillet which is supposed to be one of the most tender cuts, was over cooked and not tender. The waiter, despite his years in this industry, seemed a little overwhelmed as he began taking our order for the main course, bypassing the appetizer and drink selection. Then when we reminded him, he still said he takes the main course order first then he’ll come back to take our drink and appetizer order. Every time we had to ask for anything he made the hand gesture that “I got it”, rushing away attending other tables. The restaurant was either short staffed so he was overwhelmed with the number of tables he had to serve, or perhaps he was having an off day. On two occasions, both our server and another server spilled the drink on one of us and on our table. If you’re looking for an amazing experience at a steakhouse, this should not be one of your options. Sorry to say.

Had dinner at LB’s. We sat next to to the windows and it was cold next to the windows. It took a very long time to get our drinks and longer to get bread that we ordered. Then it was another 20 minutes before our order was taken. 2 of our salads were omitted from our order. My wife’s steak (asked for medium cook) was blue the first time and med rare the second time. They did take it off the bill. I had Branzino and the skin was birnt and the burnt flavor went into the meat…not pleasant. Overall experience was Meh. Will not return or recommend

I was disappointed with last nights service. We paid over $600.00 for a sitting of 5 people. They miscalculated our bill. The service was slow and there was not a lot of people at the time we had visited the restaurant. No one paid attention to us. We had to call for a waiter/waitress to address us. We had to beg for attention every single minute. The food was good but it is not worth coming back if the service was this terrible!

We recently dined at LB Steak at Santana Row and had a bit of a mixed experience. The Brussels sprouts were dressed with Thai chili and it was too sweet. The 35 days aged wagyu steak was served with no garnishes or sides of any kind. While I expect a premium cut from the wagyu, just a bit of garnishing would have brought more depth to the presentation. For wine service, I had hoped for a more traditional presentation where I could sample a small taste to ensure I would order the entire glass. The wine was pre-poured from small containers into glasses. I'm not concerned about the "etiquette", I just prefer to have that more refined experience. Overall, the food was good, the experience was good, and our server was friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend LB Steak for a casual or formal meal. It is a great option for a steak house in Santana Row.

I've dined here previously and have been thoroughly impressed. Unfortunately, not on the visit. The service was wonderful. Lisa was attentive, helpful, and kind. The food however was lacking. The shrimp appetizer was horribly over cooked. The macaroni and cheese was bland and watery and the rib eye was just, meh. We loved the brussel sprouts. We wanted to love our entire meal. With tip we spent nearly $300 for two people.

Didn’t have a great experience at all, brought my wife here for her birthday dinner. The appetizers were okay, we got butter and bread and the lobster soup but as soon as we got our main entrees it went down hill real quick. My wife ordered a 8oz sirloin medium and I ordered the ribeye also medium and they both came cold and lacking in flavor, sides ordered truffle fries decent and we also ordered loaded mashed potatoes and our server brought us regular mashed potatoes no biggie but how can you mess up mashed potatoes??? Server never checked on us after we received our steaks to try to get a new steak. If it wasn’t for my wife’s birthday I would definitely ask for the manager, Im honestly bothered I payed over $200 for this dinner. You would think a steakhouse on Santana Row would be one of the best steakhouse in town, not in this case. Overall I rate this place a 1.8 out of 5 stars. I would never give this place another chance, don’t waste your money or time here, walk a extra 4 mins and go to Mastro’s that place never disappoints.

Visited the steakhouse and, unfortunately, the culinary experience fell short. The filet mignon was surprisingly tasteless, and the rib eye, while better, didn't live up to expectations. The bone marrow, though rich, left us feeling like we consumed pure oil, raising concerns about cholesterol levels. Adding to the disappointment, the steaks were served without any accompaniments – vegetables and mashed potatoes came at an extra cost. Even the bread incurred an additional charge, contributing to an overall sense of overpricing. On a positive note, the saving grace was the exceptionally nice and polite staff, earning the establishment two stars. Despite the culinary letdown, the service provided a glimmer of satisfaction in an otherwise underwhelming dining experience.

Appetizers and sides were great (tartar, wagyu bone marrow, and brussel sprouts). The ribeye was a miss though, which is odd for a steakhouse. Medium rare came out way too rare, chewy, and luke warm. Service was okay, bit busy and we weren't bothered too much, but I don't think my water got refilled. Not worth the money for mediocre steak.

The people of LB steakhouse are lucky that I had the most beautiful and kindest dinner date. Their dinning sins are as follows: 15 minutes to get the initial water (we were predictably thirsty), 15 minutes after that to get bread. The steak was not medium rare (the missus was not pleased). First bill did not come with the designated employee discount. Both the first and the revised bill came without a pen. A very nice fella and great food, but the service wasn't par for the course. Again, everybody involved is quite lucky my date was a dime.

Very sad date night with the wife here. Booked a dinner early on Sunday. Arrived on time and was seated for our meal immediately. Then we waited around 10 plus minutes to get water. Ordered my steak medium, not only did I get an over cooked steak, but they brought me a steak that was not the 100 dollar steak I ordered. After it was sent back I was told that they do not have anymore, then they come back with one. To have a cost of living charge 11% tacked on to the bill. Nah I'll pass. We will stick to Flemings. Look at the photo and tell me is this is a 22oz Cowboy Ribeye?

One time and done. So disappointing to order seafood at a steakhouse and they brought out bay shrimps. Those tiny little shrimps for your salads, not the kind you’d think they dip in batter to serve as fried shrimps tempura. But yet this place dipped the bay shrimps in batter for the appetizer. Lame Beef steakhouse! So many have blacklisted this place in my network.

I came here for the first time to celebrate my sister's birthday on a Friday evening. We had a reservation, and check-in didn't take long when we arrived but that was the only good thing about our experience that day. Right off the bat we were seated in a pretty reclusive, closed off area. There were several tables in that area and two TVs, which weren't even on to offer the guests some entertainment while dining. The crazy thing was the majority, like 90%, of the people at the surrounding tables were Asians. It felt like they deliberately sat all the Asian parties in a corner. What really pissed me off was that all my table got was water. We were told that our server "will be here in several minutes" while they filled our glasses with water, but we waited half an hour to order, and NO ONE EVEN GLANCED OVER OUR DIRECTION AND ATTEMPTED TO CHECK IN ON US. At this point my table just got up and left, WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING WHO OUR FREAKING SERVER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. We were hungry and ready to have some nice steak, but the service was GOD AWFUL. I'm not even gonna try to come here again and definitely will not be recommending this place to anyone.

The 50$ restaurant week is a joke. I was hoping to be able to eat some high quality steak at a lower price. But turns out I only get 3 pieces of briskets, and got charged for 50$, not including tax and service fee. This is actually a scam. Stop participating these restaurant week events if you guys are not being sincere and all you want to do is to scam your customers by offering low quality food

Spent $260 for two people but it was a LETDOWN. Bone marrow has nearly no marrow, just cold, sour sauce. Caesar salad was way too acidic and served in giant leaves with no knife. Oysters were tiny and not fresh at all — we sent them back, and only got $13 discount on the $120 seafood tower. Definitely won’t come back.

I used to love LB Steak and recommended it for years, but this visit was a huge disappointment. Service is still excellent, but the food quality has clearly gone downhill — shrimp was dry, steak lacked juice, and most dishes had that cheap, store-bought flavor. Honestly, it’s no longer worth the price. I’ve been visiting LB Steak every year and was always satisfied before, so this change was shocking. The shrimp and pork belly appetizer I always order set the tone — the shrimp wasn’t just overcooked, it was dry and tasted like low-quality seafood, and the pork belly sauce had that bottled, artificial flavor. The steak, usually the highlight, was no better: what was supposed to be medium rare came out overcooked, dry, and lacking any rich juices, with the meat itself feeling downgraded. The sides were equally disappointing: mashed potatoes had no butter flavor, Brussels sprouts — once amazing with balsamic — were instead drowned in cheap chili sauce, and the truffle mushrooms had no hint of truffle. The spinach was the only decent dish, though I hadn’t tried it before so I couldn’t compare. Overall, LB Steak has lost the quality that once made it special, and sadly, I can’t recommend it anymore.
