R&B Tea San Jose Reviews
I think they have one of the best green thai tea around the area. Just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. I get it with half ice and half sweet. My wife likes the hibiscus tea they have here. Overall, there is plenty of space and seating. You order by a kiosk and then wait for your number or name to be called.
This particular R&B Tea location, situated within Vietnam Town, boasts a meticulously designed and modern interior that exudes attention to detail. The ambiance is inviting, with pleasant views and a staff that is both welcoming and friendly. The menu offers a wide array of choices, and the ordering kiosk simplifies the selection process. Notably, it provides options for customizing ice and sugar levels, a standout feature. It's worth mentioning that opting for no ice incurs an additional charge of $1 to $2, which seems reasonable. Furthermore, this location also offers sugar cane juice. During my visit, I ordered the Taro Milk Tea with 50% ice, and despite the reduced ice level, it still had a slightly icy texture. Next time, I plan to opt for no ice. The 50% sugar level was just right for me, resulting in a good, balanced flavor. Please be aware that additional charges may apply depending on your choice of toppings.
It’s my favorite! I come every week with my family. I tried 90% of the menu they have, all are amazing. It’s a big complex and was divided into 3 sections. I love how we can place an order by ourselves from the machines at the entrance. To avoid the crowd, you can try to order with the machine located end of the store right next to the section called “sweet box”. The only downside is sometimes I were informed that my items were not available. You can imagine how cool It gonna be after waiting a good amount of time (because they are very busy) your food is not available. And I was refunded in cash instead of going back to the credit card, which I don’t like, hope they will improve. So I usually check with the employees before placing any orders. Based on my taste, I think the teas series in Here Is much better than Ding Tea and 7 tea leaves. Highly recommend green tea creamer, Oreo milk tea, everything with Pha Lau if you can eat Beef organs, sauté cubes Beef and popcorn chicken, so yummy I can eat every day.
If you're a fan of asian food and drinks in general or Vietnamese treats specifically, I highly recommend this place. No wonder why there are so many Vietnamese coming here - why not when there are so many great offers over there with fantastic ambiance. My go-to drinks at the store are always Thai green milk tea and House coffee wi/ cream cheese - I usually order the largest size with 3 toppings and I never forget to choose tiramisu cream as one of my topping options because it is amaaaazing. I even like the tiramisu cream better than the normal cream cheese. Meanwhile, my family usually orders the Oreo, chocolate black milk tea and they love it the most. Both interior and exterior deco is eye catching and lively even though music can be loud sometimes. It is an ideal place for family and friends to gather and have fun. You can find your seats and tables easily most of the time. Sometimes when it gets too crowded (of course this place is super popular) especially during weekends, service could be slow and inefficient but at least the staff is not rude. And parking is plenty but might be a bit harder to find one during busy time.
There are many Boba tea places to choose from but it is hard to find a place that offer quality drinks. We absolutely love this place and their menu. Drinks are absolutely delicious, refreshing and different. Try out the saltrd creme brulee vietnamese coffee! To die for. The fruit teas are so good! Try the Hawaiian fruit guava tea. Very good quality, good service and great spot to try out new drinks.
Nice boba shop in Vietnam town. I got the ube brown sugar boba. I wasn't sure if boba came with the drink so I got an add-on of brown sugar boba. Turns out boba does come with the drink, so my drink has lots of boba! It was good and did not take too long to be ready.

First time here. It's a nice little place. It was a bit confusing when ordered were called because you ordered at one kiosk but there are 3 little restaurants/shops, so depending on what you ordered, your item will be called from one of the 3 restaurants. I got the Dragon fruit mango fruit tea - love it! However, the mango chunks were too big you'll need to cut open the top to eat it. Hubby got Che/dessert... Don't remember the name but he says it's ok. Grass jelly smell was just a bit too strong for his liking. I would definitely come back to try al items and food! Recommending this place.
I’ve been to a few R & B teas. This location makes my mango green tea the best. I do wish there was an option for less sugar instead of the 50 percent. Atmosphere is ok, they have a great seating area outside. one thing i wish they would do is wipe down the kiosk to order and the claw game.

R & B Tea on Story Road offers a variety of creative boba drinks, including taro stormy, mango matcha latte, and rose oolong milk tea. The shop is spacious and conveniently connected to A-Sha Corner, making it a great stop for tea lovers. While the drink quality is solid, wait times can be long during peak hours, and some customers mention that sweetness levels can be inconsistent. The menu features a mix of classic and innovative flavors, with options like creme brûlée pearl latte and Hawaiian fruit green tea. While the fruit teas are refreshing, some customers note that certain drinks can be overly sweet, so adjusting sugar levels when ordering is recommended.
The place is beautifully decorated with brand new furniture. The fried chicken and mozzarella sticks are crispy and tasty. The drinks have a strong tea flavor and aren’t too sweet, so it’s better to order them with 100% sugar. Otherwise, they can taste a bit bitter. => It’s better for takeout because the shop shares a seating area with other businesses and there aren’t many tables available.
They were 3 big stores combined: R&B, Sweet Box and one other I didn’t remember the name. Hence, this shop was really big with spacious seatings. You can order items from any of the 3 stores from the same kiosk, take the ticket and go to the respective shops to get your orders. I ordered Jasmine milk tea from R&B and 2 other dishes from Sweet Box. While waiting, they have this claw machine game for the customers to spend their time and money.
Lychee w/ Aloe Vera [25% ice and sweetness] ($5.50) ** fun fact if you decide to get 0% ice you will get charged $1** I feel like the drink that I ordered was pretty standard which is sometimes what I opt for especially if it's my first time checking a spot out and there's nothing in particular that stands out. And I am so glad this is what I picked because it's not too heavy and quite refreshing especially since the weather is picking up some heat. Something I appreciate a lot about this spot is the diversity of the menu and it felt like a one-stop shop as it's connected with food items like noodles, rice, etc., and more traditional Asian/Viet desserts towards the end of the storefront with Asha corner and sweet box! The aesthetic is super modern, family/kids friendly. There are a lot of seating areas inside and outside making it easy for bigger groups -- and it seems that a lot of individuals might chill there for hours with their friends too. Tips: Lots of parking available, family/kids friendly Indoor and outdoor seating available
The quirky decor with the glowing palm trees gave off major vacation vibes. The brown sugar boba was smooth and flavorful with chewy bobas. The whole experience was sweet!
I absolutely enjoy coming to this R&B! Everytime I am here, its always feels different, happy like I'm at somewhere new, new place, new town, or an entire new city.😂 I always gets super excited and a wam feeling of welcoming and peaceful experience. I love that they seem to always kept this place clean, cute and always Charming Displays and festive Decorations. Hidden in the back in Vietnam Town, near the Sweet Corner, this place always stood out for me. The Colorful Lanterns and the bright Flickering tree lights always gets me whenever I am here. Absolutely Stunning!! I love coming here because they also have many shops and restaurants around within this Plaza. My favorite boba here includes the Strawberry Matcha , Matcha Latte, Jasmine Green Milk Tea, Hawaii Fresh Fruit tea, Dragon Fruit Slushy, Taro Milk Tea, and Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with Crystal boba and Rainbow Jelly. Next door to R&B is the Asha corner, where I order my Bun Bo Cay and Bun Thit Nuoung here. Pretty yummy!! R& B offers Milk Teas, Juices, Fresh Fruit Teas, and different Smoothies with a variety of Toppings! They offer various Snacks, Vietnamese Beef Cubes, Popcorn Chicken and other Appetizers as well. I am looking forward to try some of these on my next visit back.😋😆
I ordered 12 drinks but they only brought me 9, so I had to tell them. Not only that, they constantly forget to add toppings to my drinks. This has happened many times! The drinks and food are good, but the service is terrible.
Devils booster fruit tea ! Delicious! I would definitely get it again! Has pineapples in it along with other fruits ! Be careful while drinking though the pineapples fit through the straw and I almost choked lol ! ✨yummy tho!

The environment looks like need more attention. We went to there during lunchtime. The table is dirty already. No tissue provided.
Ok spot for boba needs. Ordered through self-serve kiosk which isn't preferred. Some seating inside.
Such a beautiful tea shop with Vietnamese music in the background. Sadly, the drinks were meh. There was a 15 minute wait for drinks. We ordered three fruity drinks and there was a promotion for a free chrysanthemum tea. It all tasted watered down with little fruity taste. There was some confusion to where the drinks would come out as there are three counters.
Love coming to Vietnam Town in San Jose and supporting the local businesses. With so many food and drink options, it's hard to pick a place! It is always fun to try a new place that I've never tried before. R&B is a Boba franchise that is supposedly all over Asia and slowly popping up in the US . This location is really brand spanking new, modern, and sleek. Ordered: 1) Brown Sugar Boba Milk- very, very sweet and had nice chewy bobas. 2) Strawberry Matcha latte- ordered it w/ no ice, and 25% sweet. Strong flavor of matcha and not enough strawberry puree and milk I think the drinks were not bad but could use some tweaking to make them better. I will be back to try other drinks.

I hate writing bad reviews 😭 but this experience honestly horrified me. I decided to give this place a try since it’s in the same plaza where I usually grab lunch. Big mistake… Right when I walked in, I noticed the dirty tables and the awful smell coming from the bathroom. I should’ve taken that as a sign. I ordered my food to go, and when I got home and fully opened the container, I was about to take a bite when I saw a piece of hair sticking out like literally fried into the popcorn chicken batter 🤮. Absolutely disgusting. It really made me question their hygiene practices, and there was no way I could eat the rest. If I didn’t have to rush to work, I would’ve gone back for a refund — hopefully they’d still honor that. I’m hoping this was just a bad accident day for them, but I truly hope they clean up their food prep and overall cleanliness for future customers. P.S.A.: If you order to go, check your food before you leave! 🥲

They will not start to make your order until 30 minutes of waiting. Ordered milk tea and pop corn chicken. After 20 minutes the staff said they are too busy and have to wait for another 5 minutes. Waited another 10 minutes and staff said they were too busy and will start to make my order. Made the milk tea but not same as order.
