We happened upon Sandbox after seeing their happy hour sign while walking along the beach. We got the happy hour special of $6 frozen margaritas with Jose Cuervo tequila. It was delicious! A great deal with a beautiful view. There's a good amount of seating, both at the bar and at tables overlooking the water. It seems like the happy hour special could change from day to day, but any sort of cocktail for $6 is excellent!

We stopped by Sandbox at night for a bite to eat. We had bacalaitos, yucca fries, and carne fritos. Everything was tasty, served with delicious different sauces, and the portions were very generous. Even though it was after 9 pm, our very nice bartender/server Armando said there were happy hour specials - 2 Medalla beers for $5, and margaritas for $6! The carne fritos were particularly tasty, served with a spicy, smoky BBQ sauce and a sort of tartar sauce. We enjoyed our evening!

I had a wonderful experience at Sandbox Bar and Restaurant. The sunset views are absolutely breathtaking – the perfect backdrop for an evening out. The food was fresh and flavorful, the drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. A special thanks to Armando for his excellent service – attentive, friendly, and made the evening even more enjoyable. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and return to!

not sure what the low reviews here about. traveling from NC, absolutely loved the food. we ordered the mofongo bites, empanadas and fish tacos. everything was absolutely delicious, didn't last more than 7 minutes on the table. armando was a fabulous server. quick and efficient and friendly. we came during happy hour and got $6 margaritas that were the perfect start to the night. the view fully speaks for itself, gorgeous. 10s across the board! will be back!

Happy hour prices are great. Loved the passionfruit mojito Armando prepared for me. The the atmosphere is very chill, I highly recommend you stop by.

We got served by Armando this late evening and gotta say very friendly gentleman. Aesthetic, atmosphere of the place is brilliant, right next to the beach and a glimpse of the sunsetting is perfect around 6-7. I ordered the dtmf empanadillas , the wait time was about 10 mins or so. Definitely worth the wait for my meal though. Seriously the beef inside, the sauce. I was never so satisfied in my life eating a meal, so good I ordered another batch . 10/10 definitely will come again

This place has very calm and cool beach vibes! It's practically on the beach. One of the few places these days that has bacardi! I love that! Staffed with courteous employees, you can sit at the bar or enjoy a spot at one of their many tables. Opens later in the day and right in the heart of the condado beach area.

Good is good. View and atmosphere is great. Tourist trap though. Very expensive imo. Waited a while to get service. Only one employee covering bar and patio.

Nice views onto the beach though some attitude from staff and they tried to charge me for an item I did not order. Unfortunately, I don’t think it was unintentional - probably expecting that I would not notice so it reeked of a lack of integrity esp when one woman waitstaff who didn’t even serve me tried to scold me that it was correct but it was not and put her in her place 🙄 honesty seemed racist like she expected she could talk to me in that tone because I’m a Chinese female and she prob didn’t even think I could speak English. So many people have no concept of the world because they are brainwashed by media and don’t think Asians live anywhere but China. And when they have to serve you they feel jealous and so many of restaurant staff think like you owe them money out of their own unhappiness prob wondering how you have money to dine alone as an Asian female since they have so much prejudice and ignorance and treat you with less than ideal behavior

A great bar with an excellent view + kudos to the staff for it’s amazing service They are very friendly and nice to the customers. We ordered a dish ( ceviche)which was way too acidic and tangy, we sent it back the manager himself came and apologised to us. Also, I spilled my drink…the server served a new drink and did not charge us for it. Really surprised by their kind gesture. I would recommend this place for only drinks They have very good Piña Colada. The food we ordered was ceviche and guacamole and chips. We did not like it much.

The service at the Sandbox leaves a lot to be desired. The bartender, Samuel, is inept and he was inattentive. The drinks were average. The chairs were dirty. The music was all over the place and generally awful. The bartender added an automatic tip to his bill even though we were only two people. I would advise to steer clear.
