Mai Thai San Leandro Reviews
Went for lunch on a weekday. Never disappoints. Went for dinner and the food was yummy
Every time I have a business meeting or want to get together casually with friends, I suggest Mai Thai. It's consistently good food, nice portions, nice staff, and nice ambiance. It's on the other side of town for me, but always worth the trek. It's also in a nice location if you want to stop by the bakery nearby or the grocery store, too. My go-to dish is the eggplant with basil. It's cooked to perfection every time, and it's always plenty of food.
I had one of the most delightful dining experiences with my wife at Mai Thai this weekend. It was refreshing to be in a restaurant where the servers were happy to be there and were a joy to chat with. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The only drawback for the evening......no hot sake. Other than that, its a "must go" in my opinion. The beef BBQ was absolutely delicious.
The food was delicious and the staff was really friendly. Love the tropical flowers every where you looked nice touch on the fresh flowers! Ease of access, street side corner location. My favorite was the pumpkin curry with shunt of coconut. Really appreciate the nice cold glass of water with a lemon wedge while waiting for my order.
Excellent host/server she is exceptional needs a raise! She made my day and even introduced me to my favorite Thai tea. Spicy pad Thai and appetizer was delicious.
Loved the food. Got mussaman curry with jasmine rice. Also got pineapple fried rice. I love spicy so asked for Thai spicy. It wasn’t spicy for me. But taste was amazing. Delicious food.
Food was delicious and the service was good. We had the Drunken Noodle and Spicy Chicken. The Spicy Chicken had the right amount of heat. We could also not pass on the Deep Fried Banana. We will definitely be back.
Good authentic thai restaurant. Parking is bit difficult in busy hours. Restaurant is good and service is excellent. They will first serve you a small bowl of salad. We ordered some rice which was good for two people. Nice restaurant. Would love to go again
Pad sew moo and bbq pork combo, Come with rice and salad. And mango sticky rice Pad sew moo was bit spicy and sweet, also bit of basil, it taste great. BBQ pork was skewered and grilled. It's a bit dry, lean meat. Could be better with honey, to add Sweetness. Mango sticky rice is a must eating at Thai restaurant. Very tasty. The side salad was also pretty good.
Best Thai restaurant in San Leandro. Outstanding dishes, with friendly, efficient service. Wonderful curries, soups and noodle dishes. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking out front.
Very delicious food Great atmosphere Friendly staff First time here, will be back!

Everything we order was really delicious. The atmosphere is nothing fancy and the service was quick.

An authentic Thai restaurant which serves delicious, savory meals. Food portions are good enough. Service is amazing! Pricier than other Thai restos around Bay Area though.
Most Beautiful Restaurant in Town 🥰 Go for the atmosphere, savor the Thai flavors, delight in the excellent service. Fresh flowers and Buddha alter bring peace to the dining experience.
Portions are the perfect size. Pad Kee Mao was excellent - noodles perfectly singed, fresh veggies and just the right amount of sauce. The chicken wing appetizers have a great sauce, but the meat was a little dry, still good enough I’d likely get it again. The pork larb was a bit salty for my taste, but it’s also a dish with a lot of intentional variation in the bay area so even though it didn’t hit my expectation it was still very good. Service is excellent and they’ve put a lot of effort into making the dinning area unique and cozy
Thai restaurant that doesn't disappoint. We celebrated a birthday luncheon here bringing a party of 14 guests. We ordered lots of different dishes and ate family style. Food was good. Dining room was small but adequate for our party. The room got loud because of lack of sound dampening. Nonetheless, the restaurant served its purpose. We enjoyed ourselves.

Food is good, but they’re overpriced for the portions and where it’s located, and they don’t update their website. Super frustrating to go to the restaurant because they say they’re open on their website, and they are closed.
We came here for the first time maybe six months ago and have visited a few more times; but our recent visit a few days ago was very disappointing! Every dish we ordered were all sweet for some reason.
ok my views we went there and ordered several items ,,the main item i ordered was sweet and sour duck ,but i think they forgot the duck ,unless it was shredder up the other food was good ,but the main dish was i don't know what happen to duck just saying 222
Probably one of the best looking Thai food. But omg looks can be so deceiving. Did not like the place. All the items lacked flavor. Not coming again.
Twice I've ordered food from here and both times seems like they forgot my order.i had to go back in there and tell them what I ordered again and wait another 15 minutes. Their food is not authentic. The drunken noodle which are known to be spicy are just sweet. Inconsistent sauce, one time it was very bland another it was too spicy. But what really put me off was that they made me wait a half hour for half a serving of pad Kee mow. It had some veggies and a few broken pieces of noodles for $15!!! Do not come here...
