Great value for lunch. The 2 item Bento for under $15 is really hard to beat. Items are fresh, service is fast and the dinning space is cute

We had a Lion King Roll (this was baked so was a bit surprised but it was good), tonkatsu donburi, and a 2-item bento (beef teriyaki and tempura). Good value bento box…good sized portions and tasty (really enjoyed the salad which had a delicious creamy sesame dressing). My wife enjoyed the donburi which I had a bite of and thought it was delicious. We will be back to try other things on the menu.

Delightful hole in the wall with delicious food, large portions, and excellent prices! Cute cozy atmosphere with quick service (our food came within 10 minutes of ordering!) Service was polite. Sushi/bento for two under 40$! Nestled into a lovely, diverse village plaza. So happy we happened to find it!

This is one of the best restaurants around!! It is so awesome, we drove all the way from Tracy. The minute we walked in we were greeted with a beautiful genuine smile and a welcoming hello. Customer service is dead, but NOT here! The food is fresh, fast and DELICIOUS!!! I am sitting here full and STILL eating! I ordered the teriyaki chicken and beef bento box. Perfect amount of sauce and comes with FRESH SOFT white rice, soup, salad and two pot stickers. My amazing spectacular husband ordered sushi. Tfe presentation was fab and the fish was flavorful and fresh. If you have not stopped in for a very pleasant and delicious meal, you MUST! Oh yes, the prices are just right and you receive a filling portion!; Take it from me, an actual doctor, this is fresh and healthy at an affordable price!; sorry about the pictures.. . We are it too quickly!!😀

Husband and I always go on dates and we were craving some seaweed salad. The service here was super fast. The ambiance was very cute, Japan like. Not sure if it's true Japanese but it feels more like anime decor. The food was very flavorful and fun to eat. One dish felt like it was a taco sushi wrap. The portions are very large. So just know that there will be left overs.

I've visited this restaurant numerous times at varying hours. Even though the restaurant may be busy during peak hours, the staff is always friendly and courteous. The food is consistently delicious and served in a reasonable amount of time.

Great little local spot for sushi and sashimi right near Old Town San Leandro. Dine-in is open currently, with drink and roll specials on a little board outside. We ordered for take-out for our own dinner this time around, but the staff was very friendly during ordering and their very efficient pickup process. Sashimi and Sake Sashimi dinners were nicely portioned and of good quality for both, though the turnip base was a little mealy this time around. Their two rice-less roll options, Makiyaki special (wrapped in cucumber) and Red Sun (wrapped in tuna) were both excellent, good proportions of the component ingredients and delivered beautifully.

This is our go-to for sushi or Japanese bento boxes. We’ve been going for years and can remember when the old Owners had minion figures and stickers up everywhere. The food is surprisingly consistent from the old owners to the old owners and it’s still our favorite place. I have a few favorites but have

Stopped in today, 5/18/25 @ 6 PM and have been meaning to for some time cuz I'm in the area a lot. Food was cool and inexpensive. It wasn't busy when I came in but a few minutes later, single diners started rolling in. There was one server. He was very pleasant. I had to ask for napkins and utensils well after my food after my food arrives. He was busy doing everything so, I get it. I had hot sake, gyoza, yakitori and tempura. It was good. I would recommend and I plan on returning when I'm around.

Service was good, food was OK I'd say 3/5. I would recommend for once. If you guys like it you can always go back right lol. Decent price.

First time ordering to-go from Makiyaki. I had the 16 piece hamachi sashimi which comes with a salad and miso soup @ $32, as well as the vegetable tempura @ $12. While the fish was fresh, the portion size was extremely small for what they charge. Sadly, there are other amazing Japanese restaurants I'd rather frequent.

Place is small, reasonably priced, and food was good. Not amazing but family was satisfied. The service is what I would definitely what I would come back for. Miso soup was different then we've had in the past. Not what I usually taste.

I recently tried the salmon and tuna nigiri. The fish was fresh, but the rice balls were laughably small. The rice to fish ratio was just wrong and I didn’t enjoy it. On the plus side, customer service over the phone was excellent; the lady was friendly and happy which made ordering enjoyable.
