Living in a border town in the state of Texas and growing up on Mexican food, I thought I knew good Mexican food. Let me tell y'all that I was wrong. A 12-hour drive to a northern state gave me the most delicious and amazing taste of authentic Mexican food I had ever had in my life. You can tell every single dish is homemade. The breakfast was so amazing, we went back for lunch on a separate day of our trip. My sister brought along her husky, so we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. We were given water for the dog who happily enjoyed some pets from the owner and a few strangers, lol. My boyfriend and I were able to have some great conversation with one of the owners (a married couple, both of whom work as cooks & waiters of the restaurant). Upon learning they'd be closed the following day (& last day of our vacation), I had to order a dish to-go for my breakfast the following day, lol. As strange as my request initially seemed to the owners, they still happily obliged packaging everything separately in order for me (i.e., my bf) to easily warm it and have it fresh the following morning. I can't remember the last time I felt so happy to be eating "leftovers" the following day 🤣 Things I couldn't select in the listed dishes that were good: the menudo, the coffee, authentic & just-made aguas frescas, homemade flour tortillas. The tripitas were the cleanest tripitas I had ever seen in my life. Most delicious home cooked Mexican cuisine you can find in New Mexico. You can't go wrong! Approved by a foodie, a picky little sister, and a picky foodie for a bf 😂❤️ PSA: for the past negative reviews posted here, the current owners are new and have barely been there full-time a little over 6 months if I recall correctly. Their experiences may be valid, but rest assured that the restaurant has a new look along with new management 😉 I regret not taking photos to show updates. But another recent review showed the bright and colorful wall painted with a cactus. The exterior is white and no longer orange.

The owner was there...food was great, huge portions. Would come back if we are ever in Ruidoso again. Highly recommend.

Everyone here was friendly and the food was amazing I ordered the carbs asada tacos and was shocked how flavorful they were, my only regret is I don’t live anywhere near taco disco because if I did I it would be a major go to place for me

Friendly, cozy spot with no pretensions, and guys, those chicken tacos. THOSE CHICKEN TACOS. Get them with the chopped onions and chiles for maximum effect.

Good Authentic Mexican tacos. Great stop, but easy to miss at night time as the town is not that lit up. Al Pastor tacos were great and fried testicular tacos I think was the other one which was good also and very different I think the other meat that was different was stomach. The salsa definitely has a kick to it so be ready 😆 I know I wasn’t but it was so good even my mouth was on fire.

Food was great, fast and friendly service, very well priced. I didn't get a pic of my food but, it was really good.

Best Mexican food I have had by far in Ruidoso. Don't let the name or exterior fool you. The food was very good and inexpensive. Service was also good. The relleno burrito was good size and cost $6. The chicken tacos plate had 4 delicious tacos for $8. The chips served to us were tasty and not greasy. The salsa was not hot but tasty. The overall menu had lots of options. There were at least 6 or 7 taco choices as well as several burritos plus other dishes. They are open for breakfast also. I will return.

Delicious place serving authentic tacos. The owners were very kind and were eager to have us try samples of upcoming menu items. The wait tends to be longer than average, but that is because everything is made to order. As a result, the food is very fresh.

The salsa and chips are tasty. The salsa is a bit on the spicy side but very good. Everything was delicious, especially the gorditas. They were perfect. This is a great place with lots of choices. They have bottled soda as well. All good!

We are at this little mom and pop restaurant last night and thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Mexican food that was served us. My enchiladas were on the spicy side but they were delicious just the same. They even gave my young children suckers afterwards out of kindness. Definitely a must try!

No called La Ramona's, but still some good Mexican food. Had breakfast and it was delicious. The Hueavos Rancheros were alittle different than what I'm used to in Texas, but having chilaquiles as a side was a nice surprise. They also have pan dulce, which went great with the free coffee! Wife had the breakfast tacos, served on blue corn tortillas, and they looked delicious. They have added outdoor seating as well, which is great because the dining room is a little small. Im looking forward to visiting again to try the lunch tacos.

The al pastor tacos and carne asada burrito were yummy. The salsa was okay. I prefer a salsa with more texture and flavor, but it was a nice addition to the tacos and burrito. It’s a small place with 7-8 tables, so we were thankful to be able to grab the only empty table on a Sunday at noon.

I stopped at Disco Taco a year ago while visiting Ruidoso for some motorcycling over a weekend. A year later I'm back with my kid after visiting White Sands and stopping at Pistachio Land. I made a special detour for some authentic Mexican food before heading back to Albuquerque, and just like last year it was well worth it. Great food!

First Time Here..Food Is Good, But Tacos Are To Small For $13.00 Thats Just Tacos Itself..Relleno Burrito Is $8.00 For Just A Chili Wrapped In A Tortilla..Won't Eat Here Again But At Least I Finally Tried It..

My husband loved the tacos. I only had a bean and cheese burrito. Safe for me... Slow but understandable since it's family owned and do each person in order. Decent prices. Will update when I do a different meal and get a different day of food.

Place is small with only 6 table. Food was really slow coming out and was barely warm despite not being busy. Portions were a little small as well. They do a good amount of take out business. Restarant was clean despite the age of the building and the service was good. Be advised, they are rarely open. Maybe 2 or 3 times a week. If at all. This year, summer 2023, I have not seen them open.

I ordered the 4 shredded beef tacos. The flavor was "ok", the shells were stale, and they are very stingy when it comes to the ingredients. Hate to say it but.... Taco Bell gives you more for your buck and their food is alot freasher. Very disappointed. Priced way over the top.

Our food took over an hour, Food came out cold and mostly unedible, cheese enchiladas ice cold, barbacoa torta tasted like fish and fries half frozen still. Al Pastor torta was terrible, Restaraunt was extremely slow and out of most menu items. Wish we woulda left, Don't be fooled by the good reviews, I do not recommend this place to anyone.
