I have never wrote a fast food review before because I never saw a need to but I just had the best Popeyes experience of my life. We had recently stopped going to this location due to a older lady worker. She was rude and straight up had no work ethic. We decided to come back and try again and this time we were AMAZED! I had to ask for our drive through workers name and George is legit the best worker I’ve ever met. He was attentive and did his best to accommodate us due to being out of some things! So thank you George, you restored our hope in Popeyes San Marcos!!
In a time when the restaurant industry is getting slammed for poor service everywhere, I had a very pleasant surprise last Friday night 6/4/21. I wish I had her name, it was around 9pm when I went through the drive-thru and the lady taking my order was so friendly and helpful. Even at the window she was super friendly and the food came out hot and fresh. It was an awesome experience for a time when normally the service and food are terrible. Thank you whomever you are for making my night a lot nicer.
This is the most family Popeyes ever. Everyone was friendly, my chicken was super hot and they gave me 3 sauces when I asked for 2. Real talk, my favorite Popeyes ever.
Have always had great service and food here! Tonight a Monday 4/28/25 10pm the employees forgot about my order but as soon as they realized they quickly apologized multiple times and got to work! The two ladies ,sadly didn’t get their names, even included a few extras for the inconvenience! Will always come to this location!
It's a running joke with my family how AWFUL the service is at all Popeyes. BUT today at this location, I was surprised. There was only one person. That's right one. She was cooking, taking orders, and running orders. She is amazing. Wendy I think? Pretty blonde. She deserves a raise or and award. Popeyes, you are lucky to have her!

Every was good but the service, I made an mobile order got to the store 30 minutes later and my order wasn’t even started and they took about 15 minutes to finally finish it.
Always great and friendly service at this location. They keep the dining area clean. I recommend coming during the peak mealtimes so you get hot and fresh chicken.

This location is definitely the better one in San Marcos. Clean and the food was great quality. However they were out of all the sodas so we had to change our drink and the employees didn't put the right sauces in the bag. Small things but overall a great experience.
Popeyes never disappoints! The chicken was fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned – just the right amount of spice. The biscuits were warm and buttery, and the sides tasted homemade. The service was fast and friendly, and everything came out hot. Definitely one of the best spots when you’re craving real Southern flavor. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Had to wait a 1/2 hour for my order at lunch time. Didn't have time to eat it there. I had to get back to work. The service at the counter stated on line orders are served 1st. He was nice to you when you ordered your food.
Meets the standard of all Popeye’s, but might have issues with mobile ordering. They thought our mobile order was at a different location (it was not,) so they had to make it on the spot as we were in the drive-thru once they realized we were supposed to be there. Regardless, the food was hot and tasted great. I’ll probably go here many more times even if there was a small problem like above. 👍
Ill start by saying Love that chicken from Popeyes lol. I just wish the service was better and more consistent at this location. My go-to is the spicy chicken sandwich but there doesn't seem to be any standard of how they apply their spicy mayo. Sometimes it's a glob in the center that isnt spread, sometimes it's barely any at all. Rarely is it just right. So I tried ordering it with extra spicy mayo... and it was a mess. Every bite had it oozing out of the sandwich. One of the messiest things ever. A few weeks ago I got food for the family and ordered it on the app for pickup. It takes me about 15mins to get to my Popeyes, and when I got there my order had not even been put together despite all the bins being full of chicken and there not being anyone there except one person in the drive thru. I had to wait another 10mins just for them to put together what I ordered, which sucked because they had almost no other customers.
Wanted to try the new chicken nuggets that's being advertised on tv. I waited in the drive through line over 15 minutes. I thought since the wait was long, my food was going to be fresh. I ordered the 8 piece nugget combo. I only got 7 small pieces, and my fries were definitely not fresh. And to top it off, they forgot my barbeque dipping sauce too...
Took 19 minutes to get through the drive thru food was fresh.
I always look forward to Popeyes but always leave disappointed (at least with this location). The food was, ok. Rice a little dry. Chicken was good. Soda machine was out of most of the selections, as usual. Don't know why I expected anything different as this has been my experience the last several times.
Chicken was always good, about a third of the condiments they were out of, wanted to get ranch that was out. Wanted to get some jelly to go with the biscuits that was out. Chicken was excellent. Service was good. They just went well stocked.
Staff are always rude and food takes forever. Even when I placed an online order, I still had to wait 20 minutes for them to bring the food out. Tea tasted old and sour. The blackened tenders looked like they cut a tender into 4 pieces. Tiny chunk counted as 1 tender.
The food at some of their locations is not as fresh as it is at others. And I've always had bad experiences with their drinks so I never get beverages from them anymore. Sometimes the employees forget to add items you have paid for, or may give you some biscuits that are hard to bite into ( they obviously were far from fresh biscuits). Overall they can have good food it's just hard to tell which days you will get good or bad.
I ordered chicken thighs. I think they're using pullets rather than full grown chickens. They were the smallest thighs I have ever been served. The food is tasty.
Okay first I'll start off with the fact that yall are always missing things or never have things available when I go. The staff always seems rushed and groggy. The staff are not my favorite but I do understand that customer service could be a pain...I wouldn't know but I see how people act lol. But I gave it 3 stars because the food is still great...at least some of it the shrimp is a scam. But the chicken slaps. Do take the time to check out my sandwich these people put an entire breast in my sandwich and thought they could get away with forgetting my fries. Seriously check out the picture and you'll see why I don't even care about the fries all is forgiven.
The chicken at Popeyes is average in taste and tenderness; however it is very expensive when compared to other chicken fast food companies. I would only visit Popeyes as a last resort and when its not convenient to go to another local eatery. If one is on a budget there are better options.
Ordered at the drive thru at this location and the employee working the window was rude from the beginning. She couldn’t get our order right and when we received the food there were items missing. When we let her know she slammed the window and gave us major attitude. I understand having a bad day if that’s the case but this is still your job. We drove from Seguin because we don’t have one and it’s safe to say we won’t be returning to this location.
ordered through the drive thru julyb20th at 545pm. at 551 I open my 3 piece meal to enjoy, I think it was older than the hills.. so dry I could not eat it. Why do you sell and hand out OLD food that is so dry and nasty.
Almost every time I come here, there's a problem. Last time, I just wanted the entrees and the order taker charged me 30 dollars. When I asked why it was so expensive, she snapped at me saying every entree comes with a biscuit. Then she slammed the window on me. I haven't been back; too many mistakes with such nasty attitudes. I come from fast food too so I understand mistakes will be made. But 9/10 times? That's a work ethic issue. Get new staff and train them better
When you order online and you don't get half your order. The receipt tag lists it all yet 2 missing sandwiches and a missing red beans and rice. Restaurants fault. Got a refund from Uber. Still a horrible experience that made me have to go back out to get food for my child.
This store lacks management and it’s obvious. My door dash was short food and entered incorrectly so I had to leave work and drive to the store so the rest of the team could eat. Instead of rushing to get me the food I was short so the food already delivered could be eaten while a little warm, they took their time rectifying the order, caring more about getting paid for one of their mistakes than getting me my missing food in a rush melt manners no more courtesy meant meals for the team from Popeyes
Man was really looking forward to my chicken sandwich. First time I ever had it was on a trip to los angeles California last year and hadn't been to popeyes since..There it was so delicious couldn't believe how good it was..So I said its time to try it again this time in my hometown..And let me tell you i was so disappointed..Every bite tasted like Fish..I hate fish.I ate a few bites then threw it away.I should've known that they share fryers between chicken and fish..This should be a no no since people may have allergies..Still however lobby was clean and employees were super nice.Next time ill just stick to my 2 piece fried chicken meal
Order an online order for a 3 piece tender meal and an extra fry. My food arrives missing the biscuit, all of the fries, and my drink . While they did offer a refund for the fries, I wouldn’t have spend $25 dollars delivering my meal to receive 3 small chicken strips missing all of my sides and my drink.
I am starting to leave reviews on all restaurants I pick up from because it is not fair as a delivery driver that the customer and the restaurant can leave complaints but the driver can't. The restaurant had the customers order ticket it was just sitting there one worker was sitting eating 3 workers in the back no customers in drive thru or inside. One worker finally came up asked who I was picking up for I told her she looked at the only ticket hanging up and told me 7 minute wait. This happens all the time. There was no reason the chicken for this order couldn't have at least been started by the time I got here.
The girl working the drive through is extremely rude. I was being nice and patient. The manager and all other employees ignored me and kept their heads down and pretended they couldn't hear the girl being extremely rude. It was unwarranted and inappropriate. The manager wasn't even wearing a mask so I didn't try to talk to him cause he clearly didn't care about the whole interaction in the first place. I was wondering why the receipt was ripped at the top and bottom. Realized it was probably so her her name and store number were gone. Can't imagine how this store stays in business especially without any kind of district manager or corporate noticing how many complaints there are about the staff
Horrible service all around. Ordered their chicken sandwich, they just put two tenders instead of the chicken that actually goes on it. The best part is that we waited a while but none of the food was fresh.... Tried calling, but they don’t answer the phone- they know why it’s ringing! This is why fast food workers get laughed at when they want more than minimum wage, these trash workers make it really hard for the hard workers who ensure their companies thrive. This particular Popeyes needs the entire staff from management to cashier replaced.
I waited for 10 minutes for my order.the young girl at the window was rude as.could be. We ordered the family 8 PC. Meal. 2- 8 PC nuggets..which BTW one 8 piece was a cut up chicken tender. 3 large sides. 1 was.macoroni. they gave me 3 small ones which all 3 could fit in one of the small containers. We were suppose to get biscuits with our family meal. We did not. I told them to which then she called me a liar to my face so I gave her the whole bag back to look through. She through my bag of food on the counter, looked through it and by surprise no biscuits. I asked for the manager which was standing over by the counter and never intervened. I will NEVER go back to this place. I have never been treated so rudely and on top of that when I got home all my chicken was on the bottom of the bag.
The drive thru is suppose to be fast. Sitting in line as I review now. Literally 10 mins waiting. Get to the speaker to be told that they will be with me in a minute. 5 mins later still not with me. Whoever the manager is, this is not it sweetie. You obviously don’t know how to run the business. Popeyes y’all need to do better. This has got to be the most unorganized Popeyes I’ve been to.
I ordered 2 shrimp tackle boxes and a beignet in the drive thru and was charged $22.05. I paid it, asked for a receipt. I was told they didn't have paper. When insisted on something, another lady came to the register and they produced a receipt for my order but the total was $15.14 and it didn't show my payment. No one came back to the window, so I left assuming all was well. When I looked at the receipt once I had drove away, I was furious! I can't believe I was cheated over my favorite chicken place. No customer should ever be cheated, this is a poor reflection of the management.
1st they got my order wrong and then the chicken didn't taste right at all. I didn't even finish it and 30 minutes later got food poisoning.
I don’t know what is going on with this location, but service is nonexistent. I pulled up in the drive thru today at about 5:45 pm with no one in front of me at all, not even at the window. I waited for someone to greet me or say something on the speaker, but after a long while I didn’t hear anything. I said “hello” and still nothing after 1-2 minutes. So I decided to drive around and park so I could walk into the restaurant to order. The doors were locked! So I guess they didn’t want my business and I went somewhere else to get something to eat.
Went to the drive thru placed order..everything on the screen was correct but when I got home it was not what I had ordered...tried to call but the phone number was not working.. 1st and last time to visit that place again. Food is the worst. Sunday June 23 at 8:55pm
Was out of chicken when I stopped in after the dinner rush. Told it would be 11 minutes for more (told 5 minutes after placing my order). Over 20 minutes later, and only after complaining, I finally got my order, total of 27 minutes for 3 pieces of chicken. The staff was completely indifferent, and didn't even offer an apology for the multiple delays. Meanwhile, the drive-thru was rolling, so clearly all the chicken being cooked was going out the window.
One of the ladies is always rude and will talk over you while there taking you order and will not take the order correctly
Just went through drive thru with my mom at 3:20. The manager was the rudest person we have ever dealt with. We had to wait for our food. which is no problem. When we checked the bag we were missing a few items so we drove back through. We tried to tell him what was missing when he interrupted us saying that he wasn't going to keep talking if we were...like what??? We were literally telling him what we were missing. Got no apology and ge kept being rude and making comments for no reason.
Fix y’all’s problem don’t like the job get another one slow and not even a single person that can even answer the phone? I ordered a chicken sandwich and literally got a chicken thigh inside my sandwich haha. I took a bite and it was all bone. I even tried to pull apart to be a good sport and salvage the chicken. Three good pieces of chicken I was able to eat. Oh and they don’t have ice in their machine. Don’t waste your money on this location.

Food is terrible. They serve old fries. Dry, cold chicken, and if you ask them to make it fresh to your order they overcook everything. Ask for spicy and you’ll get regular. Coca Cola freestyle machine never works and only has 3 - 5 drinks available if it does work that day. Customer service is of course terrible as well. Can’t believe this location is still open
We went through the drive-thru and placed our order and then waited being the only vehicle for approximately 10 minutes at the window. By the time we got home 5 minutes away the chicken in our order was cold and obviously past time and the side was missing from my combo with my chicken sandwich. Normally this wouldn't be an issue however by the time I get home and I call repeatedly that evening and the next day no one answers the phone! On my receipt there is a phone number for a "district manager" who also does not answer the phone and the voicemail is full and you cannot leave a message. Clearly they do not care about quality or customer service and I will not be back. I would highly advise staying away from this Popeyes restaurant
Walking in they were preparing to close 2 hours early(setting up all the chairs), then the employees were super rude by arguing right in front of us on who should take our order. Eventually we got our food and all of our biscuits were stale and I only got 3 out of the 5 tenders I ordered. Not to mention they claimed they were completely out of sauce and one of my tenders were terribly freezer burned. Overall really disappointed and honestly grossed out on how this establishment is able to run like this.
The manager at this location tonight was horrible and rude!! We ordered through the drive through and was asked to move up and wait for our food which was completely fine until we waited almost 20mins for a chicken sandwich and chicken strips. When I went in to ask about the wait they the manger right away blamed the kid behind the register and said that we already should have gotten our food. I explained that we hadn’t and wanted a refund instead of the food at this point. She stated that because I used Apple Pay she could not give me a refund. I said fine to give me food and she continued to be rude and talk under her breath. It’s clear that she does not know how to be a good manager and take responsibility for her mistakes…forgot to mention she was the one that took our order at the drive through but blamed the kid..some manager.
The young lady taking my order was so extremely rude throughout the entire process. She acted like my presence was bothering her. She didn’t look at me during the payment and food exchange. And she practically almost dropped my change and drink into my hands like she thought I had cooties. The food itself was somewhat decent, but the experience with the staff definitely impacted my experience.
Waited 20 minutes in the drive thru. Had to go inside, and the rude employees said they accidentally gave my order to someone else. When that person brought the food back five minutes later, Popeyes then tried to give me the bag that another customer had literally taken to their car and opened up. I told them I wanted a new order. And when they finally got that, they didn’t give me my fries or sides. Rude employees. Slow service. Inaccurate order. Inattentive managers. It’s been bad here for a long time, but I’ve finally had enough. I will never eat here again
WORST EXPERIENCE, THIS TOPPED THE PREVIOUS BAD EXPERIENCE!! Where to start.... Rude person on the speaker at the drive-thru was cutting me off as I was attempting to place my order. When I got to the window and handed the person my cash she turned around and was texting on her phone for a good minute before she decided to hand me back my remaining change that was incorrect. It might just be two pennies but it's either theft or laziness. There is no coin shortage any longer! If it's no big deal then why aren't you giving people to pennies that moron their order. After waiting 10 minutes at the window I received all cold food except the mac and cheese which did not come with a utensil. The chicken was not only cold but had been sitting there for some time because it was dry and hard. This was at 5:00-5:19 going through the drive-thru on a Thursday. The person that the window was ignoring me when I told her three times what are correct drink order was and was giving me attitude as if I were asking for something unreasonable. What are they doing in there that they can't seem to have reasonably fresh food during a peek at dinner??? Mind you there were only 2 cars in line.
I'm a door dash driver and Everytime I get sent here, orders are never started. They will say I need five minutes, but ends up being a 30 minute wait. These workers suck
I ordered a 16 piece chicken order and only got 10 pieces. I know it's a busy business and mistakes get made, but how could they mistake 10 for 16? Did they mix up the orders? The chicken itself is great, the crispiest I think, certainly better than the hot mess that is KFC in a bucket, but I paid $50 for 16 pieces and only got 10 and unfortunately there is no way to prove it.
I mean, what's not already been said. The service is comically horrible, the staff is completely incompetent. The quality of the food is on par with something you'd fish out of the dumpster. It's rare you find a "fast food" restaurant with a complete lack of professionalism in every aspect. It's hard to fathom how this place is still even in business. It wouldn't surprise me if it's actually a front for money laundering. Employees taking handicap spots without handicap plates or hanging tags. The employees kids just chilling inside treating it like a playground. Avoid this place unless you want dysentery
We passed by this location 5pm on a Thursday on our way back from a trip out of town. They did not have what we ordered, but asked us to pull up and wait. Twenty minutes later, after trying to call the number on the receipt, I parked and walked in. I asked, the to go guy said something unintelligible, and I have him my number. He said it's just out. I believed him, foolishly thinking he understood numbers, shapes, colors, etc. We drive off and 3 minutes down the road they did not have the order right. We did have some chicken sandwiches which were greasy and inedible. We had just driven 300 miles, so did not feel like turning around so they could screw things up worse. The guy who gave us the wrong order was the shift manager.
Literally 45 mins and still waiting for the food… I totally understand when you’re busy and have a lot of customers but they sent out two different people to ask what we were waiting on. Uhmm the entire order? I don’t want to whip out the Karen card but this has got to be one of those situations. I’d love to go inside but it’s a bit hectic in there as well. Just probably stay away from this place if there’s more then three cars in the drive thru.. feel kind of bad for the workers. Has got to be a stressful situation constantly.
my husband and i go through the drive thru and order 2 combo meals, didn’t get the sauce we paid extra for, didn’t get the ranch that comes with the meal, no utensils so i guess we have to eat with our hands, place wasn’t even busy and couldn’t get a simple order right, check your order before you leave
Absolutely horrible service. I pulled up to the drive through said hello and was not served after 15 minutes of just sitting there I decided to go inside. I finally got to order and it was another 20 minutes of waiting afterwards the lady came up to me and said I needed to wait 10 more minutes just for them to make my Mac n cheese. I finally decided to walk over and asked them for my money back, I only had my drink and didn't even get my food yet the lady refused to give me my money back even though it was only $12. The young woman continued to give me very rude looks and kept rolling her eyes at me, even though she was in the wrong. I hope this gets sealed with considering it wasn't that long ago.
They never fail to disappoint. Run down exterior, grungy and poorly lit interior and always get the order wrong. Ordered a 3 piece combo with coleslaw. Got 2 pieces of chicken and red beans and rice. Typical.
Mac and cheese was gross looked and tasted like it was sitting in the heat for to long was very disappointing and mashed potatos the gravy was watery tasted ok but probably won't be going back rather have my money back than to go back again the only that that was good out of what I ordered was the classic sandwich
I went here with my kids this past weekend. They took our order and told us to drive around and wait. It took us 23 minutes to get our order. I was starving... when I bit into my sandwich, I didn't hit chicken until I was halfway done! It was filled with a big chunk of breading... literally maybe 1oz of chicken in my sandwich. I was too mad to go back.
I went in to order 3 people were doing nothing they didn’t acknowledge me until 5 minutes later and took another 20 minutes to get the food ready.

Saw the advertisement for the oreo cheesecake and figured we would try it thinking it came in a slice like how Jack in the box does it, it was shown in a picture at popeyes as a slice. This is what they gave us, putty with a crushed oreo in a small sad micro container lol for $4. This is really something else. Oh and to to it off, it's expired, its 11/26/23. Definitely disappointed, don't go here.
When I buy a 6 piece, I expect to get 6 pieces of chicken not 4. I know counting is hard.
Went here today for lunch. I ordered a #1 combo. it took a long time for anyone to come to the register. There was two staff in the back just looking at us but didn't approach me or the other two patrons in line. A man in blue and a woman in pink came from outside. The lady in pink helped with our orders. Upon getting the orders the fries were soggy and while I ordered the Cajun fries there was no Cajun seasoning. The fries were cold and tasted like old oil. The chicken burger also tasted nothing but old oil and the breading was hard like it had been sitting out. The bun had so much grease you could do an oil change with it. I forced myself to eat half and threw the other half away because it made my stomach hurt. I will not be returning. The drink machine was also out of ice and the touch screen didn't work.
This place is a mess. My order was placed online. I done to the store. Waited in line. Told them about my order. Waited. Asked about the order. Then after a few minutes they told me they were starting on the order. They were taking drive through orders the whole time.
Slowest Popeyes in south Texas. Average wait after paying in the drive-thru 20+ minutes is absolutely ridiculous. Food is never fresh. Staff has no desire to work in a timely manner. Don't recommend this location to anyone.
This restaurant only has the best food and service at lunch time MOST of the time. We have been in the area since 2023 and whenever we go in the evening usually following a game or a long day and NEED to eat here for convenience, we have been disappointed. I asked for our food to be cooked fresh so that we wouldn't have a complaint to report to the store manager again. The temperature was freezing in the lobby and that caused us to wait in the car. When we went back to get our food it was bagged and sitting on the counter without notifying us that our food was ready. My total for this was 65.00. The food was not fresh, the old chicken was dropped in the grease which caused it to be dry and hard. The fries were like cardboard, they left our peppers out of the bag and we had to go back in to ask for them. The 10 Biscuits were dry and hard. They NEVER have utensils and it's a definite "NO" to going back. I would be insane to keep patronizing this awful dishonest service. The food should not be reheated it should be voided due to expiration times. 😔
They have the worst customer service ever. I told them I had a pick up order and showed her my phone app too. The cashier girl saw it and told me to wait. I stood there for like 15 minutes. Then I went for drive-through and it was then when they packed my food. Guess what, it took only minutes for them as they couldn't even pack the fried chicken well in the box. The food taste nothing except the smell of oil.
Paid cash and never got all of my food. Altogether I waited for around 45 minutes. The girl working was scraping something off the wall and it was falling all on top of my drink, then proceeded to roll her eyes at me and walked off when I said I had the wrong order. The younger boy with glasses working the window took my cash, gave me a receipt for a jalapeño, yes one jalapeño then never gave me my food. Stole my money. I hope someone takes care of this issue. The kids working here are awful. will never be going back. Definitely never pay cash if you do come to this location.

I’ve officially had it with Popeyes. I have been going to this Popeyes for a little while and their customer service is lacking. They don’t listen to you. There gotten my order wrong several times. Mostly I’ve just let it slide. One time, I ordered a meal and they forgot to give me a side. I talked to the manager and she was really nice and seemed understanding. As a good gesture she gave me a free apple pie. I’ve been there a few times recently and when you approach the speaker for them to get your order, they have left me waiting several minutes. I would say hello. Is anyone there. And someone would reply just a minute. After that I was left waiting several more. One time I gave up and went somewhere else. I’ve even told them it’s okay to have someone to wait a few minutes, but you should at least acknowledge your customer and provide updates and an apology for the long wait. I ham another time i asked for extra ketchup and the girl said it’s in the bag. I told her no. I want more ketchup and she got all indignant and grabbed a wad and creamed them in my hand. I should’ve reported her, but again i chose to let is slide. Today, I am mad because I ordered a chicken sandwich and they gave me this little pathetic sandwich unlike what I typically get. The chicken was rubbery like it was slightly undercooked. I have made up my mind that I’m not going back there, however, I do want them to know why. My next steps are to post this on Facebook and I’m reporting this to their corporate office as well. I have also posted a picture of the chicken sandwich I purchased. Others need to see this.
Just...dont go...please Lunch time.on a Saturday, I get it, you're busy. Tables were dirty and napkins ran out after taking 4. Waited way too long and watched the confused employees duck and move around each other, all trying to fill and take orders. Also...getting them wrong. One customer returned to the cashier 3 times while we waited 15 mins for our order, which came without sides when they were included in combo orders. Don't even get me started on the disgusting flat coke and acidic lime sprite. Having a machine in the lobby down is one thing, but when you serve people horrible drinks, that will effect the taste of the food you serve. By the way, attached photos show that we were given a coke with unusual and unidentifiable black grit inside the lid of our disgustingly flat coke. We saw drive through customer return to the lobby trying to get their order correct. It was undeniably the WORST POPEYES I have ever been too....and I grew up in south Louisiana where this franchise started, and I've eaten at countless Popeyes in my 40+ years....this is by far the worst I've ever encountered. I repeat.....Just Do Not GO
The worst Popeyes I have even eaten at. The order want correct, the soft drink machine was out of service and they didn’t have several soft drink options even behind the counter. To top it off, the whole restaurant was out of NAPKINS!!!! In a fried chicken place, seriously???????
No cars in your parking lot one person at the drive-through window. the person on the mic at the speaker asked me to hold on and wait. I’m sorry if you were that inefficient at being able to manage a drive-through close the store. because I did not come to dine in. what are you gonna do when there’s an actual line? I just left without ordering because clearly if they can’t manage proper timing at a drive-through window how are they gonna manage? Making sure that my order is correct. Popeyes do better.
The service here is awful. They only take mobile orders and force you to download the app. When we got to the window to get our order the worker said they were out of all soda. I didn’t believe that and asked them to see if they could check again and they were all of a sudden able to use the other machine. It sounds like they just didn’t want to clean the machine and didn’t want to take our order. Management needs to look into the staff here as they’re actively losing the store money, never coming back.
my expectations are pretty low for fast food, but every single time i go here they're missing something from my order or out of something. today was both. i ordered the 1/4 lb popcorn shrimp and i got this in my to-go box.... crazy! the digital support chat gave me a gift card for next time, but i won't be using it at this location.
ordered a large CLASSIC 4 piece chicken combo (ALL LEGS) on 11/25/24 at roughly 11:05 pm. Upon receiving my food, things looked to be okay. But upon arriving home, after inspecting and eating one leg, I’d realized my 4 pieces of chicken weren’t CLASSIC at all, they were in fact SPICY. It wasn’t even fresh chicken either. Neither was the biscuits, they were all hard. the lady asked if I wanted CLASSIC or SPICY and I specifically said CLASSIC. My receipt even shows such modification. For her to be too lazy to alert me that they MAY have not had any CLASSIC legs left and needed to drop more, is distasteful, unethical, and very disappointing. You can’t even call up to the store because the phone number that’s given isn’t even operable. So your only option is to drive all the way there to resolve your issues. The workers need to do better. This is people’s food you’re playing around with. If you don’t want it done to you, don’t do it to anyone else. Simple as that. It doesn’t matter how tired you are or how close to closing it is. Do your job PROPERLY.
So I’m a kindergarten teacher and I really just wanted some popcorn shrimp after my long day. I spent money for 7 completely burnt shrimp. This is embarrassing! Here the photos so everyone can see the popcorn shrimp disgrace. There’s not even shrimp inside it’s rubber I think. Can’t believe I spent my teacher money on dust ☠️
3 strikes YOU ARE OUT! I have ordered Cajun Fries with 3 different meals in 3 days. Have not received them yet. All meals were To Go. This evening I was inside and explained it to the cashier. He promised to give me Cajun Fries. These fries were not Cajun (by any stretch of imagination). When I pointed that out to the manager, he says "that's the way we've been selling them for months". "There's no salt or seasoning of any kind on them"! He says, "I can give you a packet of seasoning?" I was hungry and said, " I'll go ahead and take this with me but I will not ever be back here"! He say, "that's on you, sir"!! 🫤🫨
If I could give this a place a zero, I would. The eating area was filthy, the tables and floors. I had to clean my own my table. Nothing was stocked like napkins, straws, and the soda fountain looked questionable, no ice. I had to ask for straws, and then when I went to go back and ask for napkins, the cashier Sandra was talking about me in Spanish to the other employees, including the managers!!! I was just standing there staring at her like you got to kidding me!!! Then she turns around all fast and starts apologizing! I was like, all I asked for were straws and napkins cause nothing is stocked!! And now that I have my food, I need honey mustard cause you didn't give it to my mom, which she asked for it when ordering. She then begins to tell me I was being rude to her, and I ruined her day?! All I freaking asked for were the essentials for my family's meal to be enjoyed. I didn't leave. We sat and ate our meal because I didn't feel like I did anything wrong. But speaking to the manager, Camailla didn't help either she just apologized then walked away. I won't be going back here, lol!!! I miss the other Popeyes in San Marcos never had any issues. And I've worked in the food industry. I know it's hard work for little pay. But this was just crazy never have I had an experience like this!! I felt like I was being punked for some Tiktok video. And if she wants to look at the camera footing the way she told me, I would happily sit down with you and watch it!
Embarrassing! Hard to believe the ‘popcorn shrimp’ meal was so bad. And the chicken ‘tenders’ included were so dry they may have been made last week. The shrimp were so small they don’t qualify as popcorn size. I’ve never seen any that small. The meal box was stuffed with chunks of fried batter - see photos. Afterward I had to go somewhere else to get something for lunch that I could actually eat.
I come here once a week or so (around lunch time) and every time I get someone who is so rude. They never have receipts to give and this time they handed me a box. I asked if my sandwich was in there because it usually comes in a bag not a box. The girl screamed at the girl behind her and ask her if the sandwiches in there who screamed back at her yes why you even asking me that and then said in the same town to me yes it's in there. Thankfully I checked my order as I was driving off because it was a two-piece meal not the chicken sandwich. I had to go wait in the line again because no one will answer the phone and I finally got a new person who actually apologized. This place needs to stop hiring people who have no customer service
Ordered a 5 pc tender meal and this is what I got. I also asked for a receipt for expense purposes, and it was stuffed in my bag, with half of it torn off. And it had big black sharpie written over the dollar amounts. Overall the girl in the drive thru seemed completely uninterested in being there. This is the second time this week I have been there, I am from out of town and it is next to my hotel. Easily the worst Popeyes experience I’ve ever had personally. Wouldn’t recommend this location. edit: no utensil for the mashed potatoes as well. The chicken was 80% overcooked breading. Food overall was cold and bland. I wish I would have seen the previous reviews before wasting my money, because they are all 100% accurate.
