We are from out of town— great place if you’re passing through the area or just got off a flight! Easy ordering, beautiful patio area, quick and friendly service.

I purchased beer to go at this location as it seems a bit snobbish for my taste. I did however have draft beers at their Napa location, that place is very chill. This place makes excellent beer. If your like me and enjoy the Hazy New England style IPA’s this is a welcome brewery. I had many and they were all excellent.

Really impressed, great beers and fantastic pizza. They were busy and the pizza still came in record time. Highly recommend the Detroit style.

Brought a group of 10 here for Happy Hour and had a fantastic time! It can be hard to find a spot that accommodates a larger party comfortably, but Fieldwork in San Ramon handled it perfectly. The beer selection is impressive and diverse—there’s truly something for everyone, from their signature IPAs to refreshing sours. We also ordered several pizzas for the table, and they were the perfect accompaniment; the crust was great and they came out hot and fresh. Great atmosphere, excellent drinks, and a perfect setup for a group hangout. If you’re looking for a solid Happy Hour spot with high-quality brews, this is it!

Fieldwork San Ramon is a fun and pleasant place to meet with friends and colleagues. I recently visited for a holiday work event and the outdoor seating was warmed by propane heaters. The beer was good, food was tasty, but the service could have been just a little better.

This is one of the best breweries around, and this location specifically has the best staff out of any east bay brewery hands down, so friendly, highly knowledgeable about the selection, more than open to let you try a splash to help you decide. They are also incredibly honest and good people, I left my money clip accidentally with a few hundred dollars in it, came back after the weekend and not a dollar was missing - you can't buy that kind of integrity, it's just in the people themselves. The venue is, light open and modern, the perfect accompany to the renaissance of the brewing industry. They offer indoor and outdoor seating with heaters and multiple fire pits, great for group gatherings. The beer quality is unmatched, while Fieldworks did go a little haze crazy for a bit, they have some incredible West Coast IPAs, Belgiums, and many other perfectly executed styles. One thing I really appreciate is the menu is very detailed about hops and whats in the beer, some people, myself are very particular and I appreciate the details around the offerings. I come here frequently at the end of a long week, and recommend you do too.

What a great spot! We stumbled across this location on a mission to find some pizza and beer that was away from the hotel we were at. This place didn't disappoint. Very passionate staff that were knowledgeable about what was on tap and also provided some great recommendations on their pizzas. Highly recommend the: Hot & Bothered and/or Walk in the Park. Both were very enjoyable. The atmosphere is also fantastic. My only critique would be the very uncomfortable stools at the bar, but that wouldn't be enough to keep me from coming back!

A bit expensive but high quality everything. High quality beer and high quality food. All pizzas can be Detroit style and they are delicious. Including the cheese.

Brewery located in the Bishops Ranch Shopping plaza and a great place to relax and grab some brews and food with the family. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor they have heating lamps and grills. Inside they have 2 areas and tabled areas. We had a Saturday afternoon reservation for 5 adults and a toddler for 230 and the service was great. We ordered cheese pizza, a hummus plate, French fries, and Brussels sprouts. I got a couple of their hazy ipas and in the small portion as a flight to try the different flavors. They have self service water and gender neutral bathrooms. Service was great, lots of different brews to choose from and cider and wine options, along with non alcoholic options too. Parking is easy as it’s located near the bishops ranch free parking garage.

Love this place. Pizza, either thin or Detroit style, absolutely delicious. Service is great and I truly love the convenience of the QR code. One of my favorite taprooms. Losers and Lovers is one of my favorite lagers.

I absolutely love this Fieldworks. Yes, it is very bougie compared to the other ones but they have dog treats and I also like the layout of the place, feels less cramped. They have nice outdoor seating with heat lamps, bar seating, communal tables inside, couches, and an alcove in the back with more couches. You have to find your own seating and you can order by scanning a QR code and they will bring it to your table. This is very convenient as the bar can get crowded. Of course, if you want to sample a splash of something as I did when I was considering which cans to buy, you can order at the taps. They were very generous with the samples btw. Once I even got a free pint of a bartender's current favorite brew, which happened to be a West Coast IPA, which I feel is always the type they recommend. The workers are so friendly and even though sometimes we do self-order, a worker who was a Adam Levine lookalike checked up on us 3 times to see if we had any questions. Yes, we took that long to pick 6 beers for our flight because all the beers had their own paragraph of quirky and delicious sounding descriptions, although I can usually only taste 2-3 of the notes they are describing. The food is pretty good for a brewery.

Great service. This is beer heaven. I have no idea about the different kinds of flavors, texture, and so much more diversity existed. If you want to treat yourself to the ultimate experience in a high-quality environment with first-class service and amazing products, look no further and come over. You will probably become a repeat customer as I had. Salud! 🍻

Great selection of beer. They have added a kitchen so now you have some choices for food. We ordered the Baked Goat Cheese and the Kale Salad. Both were quite tasty. Plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy. Fireplaces for when it gets cooler. Beers are $7-$8 and 3 oz samplers are mostly $2.

This is another beautiful Fieldwork location. I love how they all have a similar feel despite all being in very different locations/settings. This location has indoor and outdoor seating and multiple bathrooms. The outside area has two large fire pits and many outdoor heaters. The inside has a good amount of seating but the high ceilings with concrete and metal finishes make sound really bounce so don't be surprised if it gets really loud when it's busy. Ordering at the counter is super easy and they also have roaming servers who can get your orders from your seat. No snacks served at this Fieldwork but the shopping center has plenty of food options so you can order and bring food to enjoy with your beer. Lots of parking here too.

The server seemed to be having a bad day, not unwelcoming but just not upbeat like you hope for in a brewery. All else was good. A good beer and great pizza.

First time here and I have to say I'm impressed. Great outdoor atmosphere. Ordered the BLT wrap which was quite good for a wrap. Took about 30 minutes to get to me due to a backup in the kitchen but otherwise servers were very attentive. The ordering experience was a little different then I'm use to. You order off your phone and they bring it out to you. The one IPA I had was quite good. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.

The drinks were tasty and unique. The ambiance was nice as well as the staff. I just wished the process were a bit more reasonable. But I suppose their rent is high for their location.

Came here when they were having 3 corporate parties. Impressively we were still noticed and seated promptly. We put our food order in and received it fairly quickly for how busy they were. We ordered 2 pizzas that were tasty, wings that needed more sauce, fried pickles that were delicious , and a Cesar salad wrap that had a little too much lettuce but was good. My husband tried the flight and enjoyed it. The customer service was AMAZING. It was a bit windy outside so would recommend a sweater.

If you're looking for an industrial brewery-like setting with great beer selection, open atmosphere, and a place to grab grubs with colleagues in San Ramon, look no further. Fieldwork Brewing Company (FBC) is a relatively new institution that has a great selection of beer (as the name suggests) and a decent selection of comfort food to go along. The food isn't mindblowing or anything. Just good enough to accompany the beer. So don't think this is one of those themese restaurants. Their primary purpose is to serve beer. My only ask to the owner is that the long benches and seats are somewhat reminiscent of Oktoberfest, etc but it just doesn't work for the type of people who'd come after work. You just finished a long day at work. You're not in a mood to be rubbing shoulders with strangers celebrating the fall harvest. I'd return, but only for that one scenario - afternoon happy hour with coworkers.

Staff thinks no end of themselves. They don’t know how to manage reservations, carrying around a tab they clearly don’t know how to use. Send you a message when the table is ready, 60-min wait they said and then send you a message in 20-mins, and you turn back up in 15-mins , and the table of 6 is given to someone else (seemingly empty tables all around). It’s a brewery not a club. I like the beer and the food, but never going back again because of the service. This has happened a few times… the staff needs to drink some beer and chill. Not be so stuck up.

I honestly don’t get what Fieldwork San Ramon is trying to be anymore, because it sure doesn’t feel like a brewery. Walking in and being told it’s basically reserved seating only was beyond irritating. Six bar stools. Six. That’s your solution for people who just want to grab a beer? Are you kidding me? This is supposed to be a brewery, not some trendy restaurant that forgot why people come here in the first place. I couldn’t even casually walk in with my dad to have a few beers while on vacation because apparently everything revolves around table service and reservations now. That completely defeats the entire point of a brewery. Breweries are supposed to be relaxed, social, and welcoming not some awkward situation where you’re made to feel like you’re inconveniencing the staff by wanting to drink beer… at a brewery. If I wanted a restaurant experience with reserved tables, servers, and artificial scarcity, I would’ve gone to Applebee's. Fieldwork built its reputation on being a place where you could drop in, grab a pour, hang out, and enjoy good beer without jumping through hoops. That vibe is completely gone here. Now it feels stiff, over managed, and weirdly pretentious. The beer is still decent, which almost makes this worse, because the experience surrounding it is so frustrating. You shouldn’t need a reservation strategy to drink a beer. Turning a brewery into a restaurant first operation alienates the exact people who made you popular to begin with. This place forgot its roots, and it shows. Honestly disappointing and not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit again. Im done eith this place.

I’ve always enjoyed the beer at Fieldwork, but my recent visit made me question when, exactly, breweries became acceptable drop off zones for entire youth soccer teams. What should have been a laid-back afternoon turned into navigating a swarm of loud, unsupervised kids sprinting between tables while their parents camped out with pints, oblivious to everyone else’s personal space. Picture a bar, a literal bar, filled with people trying to enjoy a craft beer, now overtaken by small cleat-wearing missiles bouncing off chairs, blocking walkways, and treating the place like an indoor sports complex. The parents? Utterly unbothered. Lost in conversation, phones, and IPA flights, as if the rest of us didn’t show up to unwind after a long week. It’s astonishing how normalized this has become: adults sitting in a brewery, acting shocked when someone expects basic supervision and courtesy in a space designed for adults, not youth team celebrations. There was a time when rowdy kids belonged at parks, birthday venues, pizza joints, family restaurants, places intentionally built to absorb the chaos. Now, for reasons I can’t explain, a bar serving alcohol is somehow viewed as an appropriate backdrop for team parties and free-range parenting. The result is the same every time: adults who came for a quiet beer end up dodging shrieks, collisions, and sticky hands gripping communal game pieces. Fieldwork still makes great beer, but the atmosphere has taken a hit, not because of the staff, but because too many parents seem to believe that their kids’ entertainment should override everyone else’s experience. If you come here hoping for adult conversation and a peaceful pint, be prepared. Your enjoyment may depend entirely on whether a youth sports league decides to host its after game chaos in the taproom that day.
