There are so many great things about this restaurant. The service was excellent -the servers and bartender were all super friendly and attentive. I came in without a reservation on a major holiday and was still seated and served, even though the place was packed. The food was very good, and the dessert was exceptional, especially the molten chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream. Portion sizes vary, so there’s something suitable for one person or for sharing. On top of that, there’s an amazing ocean view from the restaurant’s slightly elevated location. The atmosphere is very multicultural and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Delicious food all around with unique dishes I never ate before in this way. The staff was so so lovely, made us feel very welcomed!

Best meal we had this trip. So lovely to see options for vegetarians that’s not more tortilla! A must visit for the cheese and truffle risotto. And if you eat meat the duck ravioli (see photo) was exceptional.

We made a dinner of anchovies w hummus, Duck ravioli, creamy rice w truffle, and white tuna w creama and peppers. Each dish was outstanding and so fresh. Friendly service in a casual atmosphere. I understand why it is so highly rated.

I’ve spent the past month in San Sebastián, and tried most of the well known great pinxto bars, and they were excellent as advertised. El Kbzon doesn’t have that reputation, and it should. Modern elevated pinxtos similar in style to Cuchara de San Telmo, but even better. Great friendly service, very affordable, been twice, the best place I’ve been to on my trip.

This place was amazing. The pork feet and ear were very savory and tasty, and the chicken drumstick was phenomenal. Highly recommended to anyone, even if off the beaten “touristy” path. It’s only like 5 minutes “out of the way”.

Just outrageously good! The staff all heavenly- didn’t catch the name of the lovely young man who served us first, jala was also so wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food- just next level good. Blew our minds. We had hake, blood sausage, tomato salad, cheesy rice, we basically ordered most of the dishes because it was so delicious! Thanks so much everyone

Some of our favorite bites of the whole trip. Great service too! We had the pintxo of the day (tuna belly), blood sausage, creamy rice with truffles and beef tongue.

Delicious food, reasonable prices. I only had four nights in San Sebastián but I came here for two of them. I highly recommend the lengua de ternera, which was the highlight of both times I visited.

Lovely food. Well balanced flavour for a good price point in san sebestian. For 2 ppl we ordered 2x1/2 portions, and 4 pintxo servings and we were stuffed. We loved the blood sausage, hake and beef tongue. Pork ears were great too but can be an acquired taste. Pork crackling was on the salty side for us. Trotters had a nice sauce but texture wasn't to my liking. Wished they had more seafood options available since we were by the sea. Service was attentive despite being packed. Be sure to make reservations ahead!

Hidden gem! If you are tired of the overcrowded and similar pinxcho bars on Old Street, this restaurant could be the right solution. Anyway you can order, eat, and pay sitting at the table ;) Cosy space with friendly service. The hall guy is so nice! Thanks! ;) And all the dishes are just amazing. Some traditional and very unique original menus (I guess southern-east Asian fusion style) are, of course, tasty and very interesting.

We had a beautiful view with the beach in the background, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Our favorites were the pork feet and the hake — both dishes had wonderfully balanced and unique flavors. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming

Incredible food and breathtaking views of the waterfront! Every dish we tried was perfectly made, but a few deserve special mention: - The rizotto with cheese and truffle - The chicken croquettes were crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside - The tuna steak was seared to perfection — fresh, meaty, and beautifully presented - The anchovies — they were perfectly balanced

In most places on our trip to San Sebastián we were popping in for one or two pintos and a drink and moving on. It’s impossible to do that Kabzon as the food is simply too good to not keep ordering. After trying the pork belly in beans, our taste buds ordered us to order more food. The crispy juicy pork saltines was surprisingly complemented by the bed of beans which made it the perfect, although unexpected combo. We then had to order more and obliged by ordering the beef tongue which was so rich and so deeply flavourful it led to us ordering the crispy chicken which was crunchy and juicy at the same time if that’s possible? The blood sausage was the least favourite of an extremely high bar, as it was a little too rich and not as exciting taste-wise. The croquettes were, as expected, creamily and mouthwateringly tasty and moorish. Overall the staff were also great, funny and well versed on all the dishes and in speaking several languages. Will definitely be back, hopefully sooner rather than later.

We are fortunate enough to be staying just along from this restaurant. It doesn’t look much from the street but it came recommended & we weren’t disappointed! Staff were all lovely, special mention to Gabby although the others who served us were great, just didn’t catch the names, sorry! Food was fantastic, blood pudding & pigs’ ear were stand outs, slightly left of centre was the pad Thai, also amazing! Had to stop husband from licking the plate after his melting chocolate pudding! El Kbzón is a classic example of don’t judge a book by its cover!!

When walk up to this restaurant which almost feels is in a bit of an inner alley, it is very unassuming, but the reviews were amazing and they did not lie. The food was amazing. I think we ate almost everything on the menu. The flavors were really good and the service was excellent. The wine was also very good and very inexpensive. I highly recommend it!

The food was excellent – creative, Well-balanced flavors and definitely worth recommending. Dishes like veal tongue, pork feet, duck ravioli, and tomato salad with duck confit were especially interesting and tasty. Unfortunately, the service was lacking: empty glasses and plates were only cleared after asking – and even then, not completely. When we wanted to pay, staff were on the phone instead – perhaps payment is only done at the bar, which would explain it. Summary: Outstanding food, but the service could be more professional.

Turned up with no reservations for shelter from rain one evening. We were lucky they accommodated us to a reserved table. What was meant to be a drink and one dish kind of stop; we left the place only after ordering quite a few things on the small but excellent menu. Chicken drumstick, croquettes, crispy pork, beef tongue and sausage. They were all delicious and I would come back without a doubt.

This place was packed & not enough servers for the amount of customers. The cava & the red wine both smelled nice but tasted awful..they were maybe the worst wines I had on my trip. I'm not one to waste alcohol but I couldn't drink either. -Hake: the fish was cooked perfectly & I always appreciate crispy skin! but puree was too salty & the "fancy" oil was too bitter. -Creamy rice: I appreciated the freshness added from the micro cilantro garnish since it is a delicious but rich dish. Fried onions added some sweetness & texture. Very cheesy, not too much truffle which can be a nightmare but wasn't -thank you. Sesame seeds I could've done without. -Blood sausage: good flavor, loved the sweet & sour component from the apple & vinaigrette, that & the arugula helped cut the greasiness of the dish. (I had it at another place, just seems to be the norm?) Torrenzo/pork belly: definitely needed the pickled onions for this fatty dish. Not memorable but do remember being annoyed with the lentils like why...?! Cheek: very tender but greasy, carrot puree added sweetness but a little boring, balsamic dots for a little brightness/acidity. Don't think I'd come back...Not sure what all the hype is about...the food isn't bad but the drinks & atmosphere/service/BATHROOM make this a no for me. *went Sunday 8/10, forgot to upload notes/photos while on vacation

We were misled by the great reviews to come here and have lunch. I guess my expectations were set too high as we were let down by the quality of the food. Additionally there seems to be some mismanagement in the kitchen, with dirty plates and glasses being passed to customers. Thankfully the problem was resolved quickly but it still left a bad impression of the competence in the kitchen.
