Panda Express San Ysidro Reviews
Off to Southbay an a visit to panda express. Met a friend at panda express at las Americas mall for dinner. We had a mutual friend who passed away a year ago, which he told me about in a email. Took a while But finally met at panda. He travels alot an comes to san diego now an then. Had a great time an talked about good friend, Alan. I had a 3 item dinner. An Josh had a 2 item. The food is always fresh an tasty! I took my leftovers home for lunch. Josh ate his whole dinner. Panda has a couple spicy dishes, which I've had, but not a fan of hot/ spices food. Give panda express a try- decent prices an good food that won't break the budget!! Enjoy!!
Employees working like a well-oiled machine!!!!! 👏 I have been to quite a bit of Panda Express location. This one is amongst the fastest and on point. The work they put in during this peak hour was tremendous. Not to mention, there was always someone doing their job, whether it came to wiping tables, refilling napkins, and serving customers all things were getting done. Great job! The only thing suggestion I would ask for is more outdoor seating. I sat on the inside, but it was loud. If you appreciate this review, smash that like button. This team at Panda Express deserves some recognition.
It's probably the time of the year but it was really busy when I was there that was maybe a line of at least 10 people waiting to be handled by the people doing all the work but they managed to resolve everybody's order and I was really happy. The restaurant is conveniently located inside the plaza and there's plenty of parking room so you won't worry about that. Since they're always selling food that means that you're going to get a freshly prepared dish like I did with the chow mein and the chicken. Despite the large amount of people that place was cleaned by the people that were working. The pricings are fair for the location, food quality, and the proportions.
Recently visited here and had a very satisfying experience overall; the food was fresh and flavorful, especially the orange chicken and beef dishes, and the portions were generous enough to feel like good value for a quick meal. The chow mein and fried rice were hot and well seasoned at this location, and while some people mention that quality can vary by store, everything I ordered that day tasted consistent and enjoyable, with tender meat and crisp vegetables. The restaurant was clean, the line moved quickly, and the staff were friendly and efficient, greeting customers with a smile and patiently answering questions about the menu, which made the typical fast‑food atmosphere feel more welcoming. I also appreciated that the service was organized even during a busy period; the employees worked as a team, kept the counter stocked, and made sure orders were correct before handing them over, so I did not experience the missing items or long delays that some reviewers have reported at other branches. Overall, if you are looking for convenient American‑Chinese food with bold flavors and quick service, this Panda Express location is a solid choice, and I would be happy to come back again for a casual lunch or dinner.
You won't believe this. Panda Express doesn't have salt & pepper packets. Even though the food is prepared in sauces, the flavoring really is bland. Aside from that, the food provides nutrition. There are many food options to choose from including brown rice, white rice, chow mein or vegetables. Steak may be accompanied with shrimp, or broccoli or sauteed veggies. Chicken may be complemented with mushroom, orange sauce, or cashews. Or perhaps if meat is not your cuisine, alternatives are offered. I ordered the kiddie meal with peppered steak and broccoli. It is the healthiest food option at Las Americas but it's Panda Express. No reason to do cartwheels. Service was fast, friendly and with smiles. I went on a busy Saturday and the cleanliness and sanitizing was maintained between customers. Staff continues to wear face coverings, while customers have a choice.
It's Panda. The line was long. The fountain drink machine and ice maker were out of order. The white rice felt a bit undercooked. They were almost out of honey walnut shrimp and asked if I wanted to wait. I did. It was decent enough. Next time I want Chinese in the South Bay, I'll take the time to go to Ying Li a few blocks away.
Honestly I have never been to a Panda Express, where they put a small portion of food like this. 15 dollars for a plate, 1.25 for walnut shrimp all hard and cold, and only small 5 shrimps? Horrible service and attitude from some employees.
Horrible experience , they never get the order right.. I hate coming to this place.. my girlfriend loves it , that’s the only reason I come here, but the order process is a nightmare
Probably the most disrespectful customer service I’ve had in a minute. We walked in not knowing how to order because we’re not regular Panda goers, and this man talked to us like we were 5 years old who wandered away from our parents. He kept looking at us like we were personally ruining his shift just by existing. Sir, relax. It’s chow mein, not rocket science. He was visibly frustrated that we didn’t know the Panda Express script and even apologized to the people behind us for our “lack of knowledge.” Like okayyyy my bad for not having a PhD in ordering orange chicken?? I honestly felt for the people in line, but Panda… be so for real. No one should be treated like that for just trying to get food.
They close at 9 and at 8:20 they stop doing food. I ask here why there’s no food she lied about the closing hours she said they close at 8:30
Slow and 0 organization. They clearly lack personal in that place let alone urgency to clear the room, they rather have food sitting there for 5-10 mins wondering what am I waiting for if my food is already done and there.
Worst panda I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve been to many many pandas before. and the workers are always in like panic mode hahaha
The food was good the problem was that this is probably the dirtiest Panda Express I have visited. The place is infested with flies and it is very uncomfortable to eat there while flies are trying to land on your food. Management needs to have cleaning cycles that occur more often. Tables were dirty and the place had no ice for drinks. This place needs to do better!
Very disorganized no chow mein. Ready waited almost 15 minutes and they had so many orders for chow mein that I had to wait for them even longer ..And to top off it tastes burnt !!! I got food and I told the lady that this was a mess in there where you eat food its allegvery dirty and she just walked away . She didn’t even speak English come on we are in America at least a little bit is required !
Just visited at 7:30 pm on 10/26/22 and almost no food left. I continually heard the woman say es Que cerramos a las 8:00pm (it’s because we close at 8) as customer after customer asked why there wasn’t more food and then left like I did. This is not what I expect at Panda which is known for super proactive training and customer satisfaction. Either they are trying to get out early or have employee issues. Only One cook was present. What you see in the photo is everything they had except for orange chicken in the next area.
