Pizzeria Vesuvio Sanremo Reviews
We had a wonderful dinner at Quintessenza in San Remo, seated outside in their wind‑protected and heated area. The plastic enclosure kept us perfectly comfortable, and the table itself was excellent — cozy, calm, and ideal for enjoying the evening. We started with the paccheri al sugo di crostacei, a chef’s suggestion that turned out to be absolutely delicious, along with a beautifully prepared insalata di carciofi served raw and full of flavor. For the main courses, I chose the classic Orecchia d’Elefante and a rombo con carciofi al forno, both impeccably cooked and generously portioned. Dessert was equally impressive: a creamy cheesecake with caramello salato and a delightful meringata con marron glacé. Every dish was well prepared, balanced, and satisfying. The service added an extra touch of charm. Before the starters, the waiter brought us some bread and warm pizza slices, and we were offered a limoncello to finish the meal. The highlight, though, was the thoughtful gesture toward our dog Toffee, who received a few slices of ham as a treat — a small detail that made the experience feel truly personal. From start to finish, everything was smooth, attentive, and delicious. Quintessenza delivered a flawless experience that fully deserves 5 stars.
Our waitress was great. She spoke great French and English, was very accommodating and gave great recommendations. Fresh and delicious food.
10 star service, 10 star food, 10 star atmosphere!!!! This is the perfect restaurant for your holiday!!!! They also have gluten free pasta and bread!!!! Amin and others from the staff are very polite, friendly, helpful and smiley making dining the best in Italy. I strongly recommend to pick something from the chef’s menu !!!!
Fantastic hospitality, great food. Our family was having trouble with getting the last train, great thanks to Rosy for helping us for calling a taxi and arrange the food order for us.
🍝🍤👨🏻🍳 Elegant Restaurant on the main street of Sanremo. Food is delicious (try, for example, their iconic Lamb) staff is well trained, kind and precise. Italian Atmosphere. It's not cheap but all in all it is a great place.
We came to this one by accident. But was pleasantly surprised! First of all, the service was a hit and miss. Some of the staff had poker faces while a couple were very nice. We tried 8 different dishes from antipasti, primi, to secondi. Besides the grilled veggies which was dry and flavorless, all others were excellent. We also got a treat of limoncello at the end to finish with a cheerful note. Prices, although not the cheapest, were very reasonable.
Best place to eat in Sanremo. We're going very often to Sanremo but never tried this place before. When we did, it was a wonderful surprise. The food is excellent and the service is above any expectations. I really hope they will stay the same and can't wait to eat there again next time visiting Sanremo. We also had free focaccia while waiting for our food and free limoncello shots at the end. Just perfect and totally recommended. Keep up the good work and the good service! P.S. coperto is 2€ per person.
We had an absolutely amazing lunch experience at this restaurant. Really compares to nothing before. We were 2 couples coming from France and my God, we were so impressed with the service, the plating, the taste, the interior, the table arrangement, everything !! I cannot praise them enough. We spoke Italian so probably that helped too a bit, otherwise it seemed that all the personnel spoke other languages too. They all went the extra mile to make our lunch really special. All our dishes were delicious, we even received pizza and focaccia from the house, so we almost didn't care at the end that we had to pay the obnoxious coperto. I guess this will really never change in Italy. We will be back for sure. 😀 Also very decent prices compared to France (137€ 4 people with coffee and desserts).
My husband and I came here for our 1 year anniversary and were blown away by how spectacular the food was. We are total foodies and had just eaten at a 2021 Michelin starred restaurant the night before and this place was equally if not better in terms of service, taste and quality of dishes. Also we had Toto as our server and he was exceptional. A perfect balance of being present and attentive to everything we possibly needed. We would absolutely come back here to dine again. Bravo to Toto, the Chef and the entire team !!
Why insult nature and fry porcini? Shocking. The rest is average but staff is great.
Our hotel made a reservation for us for inside as it was sweltering. When we got there, the host greeted us (my daughter and I)and decided that he had no more places inside so we sat in the thick heat and ate a meal that was not exceptional, and therefore left as soon as possible after the meal. In the meantime tables inside the restaurant remained empty. Table service was attentive, I cannot fault it. Food was underwhelming. We will not be returning.
Food was good. Service was absolutely terrible and negatively affected our overall experience. We had to ask multiple times to see the wine menu, to order a second drink, and to pay the bill. We ordered another round of drinks and they never came so after waiting 20 minutes we asked for the bill but had to ask three more times and were ignored every time. Finally we got up and had to walk inside and flag someone down to let us pay
The quintessence of disappointment. It felt like we were bothering the waiters and waitresses. No goodbye at all, very long waiting times for the service, yet extremely quick when it came to bringing the card machine to pay. My girlfriend ordered the “risotto with red shrimp tartare”… there was indeed a risotto (although you could absolutely not taste any broth, only plain rice) and a few small pieces of shrimp scattered on top. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE WORD “TARTARE” WHEN YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY MAKING ONE. My dish seemed to have been prepared with an overly salty, industrial pesto. In short: disappointing. And honestly, unless you have the palate of a Doberman, this is a tourist trap to be avoided. A disgrace to Italy.
My meat smell bad. Clearly was not good. I returned and they didn’t accept the return and charged me for my order. I didn’t eat. Unfortunately no manager that could take a good decision, because is not questionable when a customer returns food when it’s bad. A restaurant should thanks customers that feedback when a food is possibly bad, that could lead to food poisoning.
