I've been having very good luck here. Tried several different items now Breakfast and Lunch meals both delicious. And always enough for "planned-overs". Made a delicious burrito at home with the leftovers.

Great service, food was hot and prepared quickly. The restaurant was pretty reminiscent of an IHOP. Steak wasn't the highest quality but it was cooked to the temperature that I ordered and tasted alright. All the other food was excellent and the pancakes we had were better than we've had at IHOP.

Delicious food and service. This is what we have tried: Steak and eggs (steak was cooked exactly how it was requested), pork and turkey bacon and sausage, pancakes (plain and grain), burgers and fries, eggs of course. Everything has been made fresh and the service is always great. My only complaint is that if you order food to go, they serve it hot on styrofoam, a practice that needs to end ASAP, as styrene causes cancer. Please get paper plates to go!

I was there for breakfast with my family and it was a large group. The food was excellent and all of our food came out hot and the server was attentive and very helpful. This is my new favorite place because everyone there is very warm and friendly.

Great spot. I can't speak to their lunch or dinner but my wife & I love their breakfast. Good service too. The only I'd say miiiiight need a little work on, is their late morning/Early afternoon breakfasts... Because, the times my wife & I have had a late breakfast, the bacon isn't that good. I mean, it's bacon, so it's still good but it should be more crispy & it seems, if we go here after peak hours, ya might want to ask for crispy bacon. Other than that, this is a very good Breakfast spot & potentially a good lunch/dinner spot (again, idk about their lunch/dinner because I've only had their breakfast).

Our first visit to this restaurant. They were busy but sat us quickly. They took our drink order promptly. Food was quick and really good. Best eggs and pancake I've had in a long time. Florencio was our server and he got the orders right, refills were timely. He has a serious personality but he did a great job!! We'd eat here again.

I Heart Pancakes is the best pancake place I've ever had. I've moved away and I think about it all the time. If I'm going to be near John Wayne airport in the daytime, I always make a point to stop by. The pancakes are so good and the place is family-owned. They're always incredibly attentive and everything is delicious. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

I just moved around the area and decided to try this new spot. Wow am I glad I did! I got to say from the moment we walked in we were greeted and felt very welcomed. The manager was very nice and even though Fernando wasn’t our server he went above and beyond to ask us if we needed anything he gave us salsa and fried chile (which I love love!) and he knew exactly what’s up ! Served quickly and hot. Great service. I have returned since, the service is even better. Their pancakes are delicious, especially their multigrain with nuts, and so are the sausages and eggs. It's one of our favorite places to go.

My family and I were looking for a breakfast restaurant to stop by after picking my brother up from the airport, and “I Heart Pancakes” seemed like a great option. The food was delicious; I got the French toast breakfast with the fruit on the side and it was very filling and tasty. Our waitress was very helpful and attending to our needs. A great option if you want some breakfast in the Santa Anna area.

The food was delicious and the service outstanding. I had gluten-free blueberry pancakes. The texture and flavor were perfect, and the pecan syrup added a little extra to the experience. My granddaughter had a Happy Face pancake that came with fruit and yogurt. She ate almost all of it -- rare for her!

Hands down the best tamales I've ever had. I know that's odd to hear about a place called I Heart Pancakes, but my wife and I have been talking about them for the last two days. I ordered their chicken fajita omelette which came with a side of grilled serano peppers. Wow. What a dish. Everything was cooked perfectly, and those peppers added such an amazing heat. Now, the pancakes... Fluffy and delicious. Their blueberry pancakes are stuffed with berries. Absolutely would recommend. The staff was super friendly. I have to give a shout out to the kitchen staff for making one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in a long time.

The best hamburger I have the pleasure of eating in a very long time. With a name of I heart pancakes I figured that the breakfasts were going to be good I'd not great. But, it was lunch time and I did not feel like another breakfast. So I figured this would be a interesting test of the rest of the menu. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and ask them to add avocado. The only issue I had was that they did not have an adequate serving of avocado on the burger. The slices were about 1/16 of an inch or 1.5 mm for the metric system Individuals. I rarely if ever request to thank the cook but the burger was so good I asked to thank the cook. Fortunately, my waiter was my chef. He went behind the counter and cooked my burger himself. Allowing the other chef to take a break. He gave me excellent service and the best burger in years.

Very busy restaurant! Large portions of tastey breakfast foods. Clean, friendly and again very busy. Short wait to be seated, appear to be highly organized with set up, food delivery and cleaning. Would return, highly recommend.

Fast, fast, fast! As soon as you walk in you just chose your seat 2 minutes later our server was here, we ordered and 5 minutes later our food was here, waiter was very polite and food was delicious!

Alex & Fernando were amazing and definitely made our experience. The food was good! We’re a big family (8 total) and they did not make us feel like we were a bother at all. Very fast, they made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved our visit to I Love Pancakes! The food was delicious, but what truly made the experience memorable was our server, Oscar. He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Oscar went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and his positive energy really added to the vibe of the place. Highly recommend stopping by and if you get Oscar as your server, you’re in for a treat!

Was a great diner felt more comfortable than being in a bigger establishment. Our waiter Mr. Fernando was amazing he was always close at hand and always with a smile and a friendly demeanor. He made the experience what it was a 5 out of 5 but the food was great too and did not take long to get.

My boyfriend and I came in for the first time this afternoon after stumbling across the page on google. The owner came and spoke to us before we got our pickup order and was so great to meet one on one! He was super friendly and personable to speak to, seems like he really takes pride in this place. After eating our food I speak for my boyfriend and I when I say it was some of the best breakfast food we’ve had in a long time. We both got French toast. He got the cinnamon toast and I got the Nutella. It was phenomenal! I can tend to be picky with my bacon and eggs and both (including the hash browns) were the best I had ever had. I haven’t finished my sides to a main order like that in years and I am happy to say we both ate our food to the last bite! The restaurant itself was very clean and fun inside. Would recommend to absolutely anyone! Be sure to come in at night as their after hours menu looked just as yummy!

I Heart Pancakes might be known for their breakfast, but let me tell you—the fish & chips is the real star of the menu! Perfectly golden, crispy batter with flaky, fresh fish inside, paired with fries that are seasoned to perfection. The tartar sauce? Absolutely divine. Got the classic pancake combo with strawberry cheesecake. Bacon was good and crispy, the pancakes were pretty good, not as good as black bears but worth getting again and the hash browns were pretty good despite only the top layer being fairly crispy.

Very similar to Ihop, even down to the multiple syrups on the table. We went on a busy Saturday morning, and we were scared the wait would be too long, but we were seated really shortly, and better than that our food came our more quickly than I could imagine. It's good to know there is a local diner that can keep up with a crowd during the breakfast rush on the weekends. Food was good, service was excellent, and they often have a Groupon. Check it out.

The name says it all! Local SA/OC Diner where you can get breakfast or dinner. Mom and Pop, bilingual, friendly, clean, and the Customer service is great. 7Am-2pm. What is the sweet spot in your heart? Pancakes or French Toast?

The service was great and the coffee was too. The food didn't really stand out to me, nor did the pancakes. Usually with a place like this I'm looking for something that outshines the typical Denny's or iHop. I'll have to try it a few more times before I'm sure.

It's the atmosphere of a Waffle House paired with the food of an IHOP. Service was great, open kitchen, food was a good value for the price, but nothing to write home about. Nice family diner atmosphere.

My husband and I came here around 7:00pm and there was absolutely no wait. We were seated right away by the waitress with a big smile. She was very friendly and informative. Her name is Rosa. Our order was put in as soon as we were ready and we saw the cook go to work immediately. The burgers we ordered were very filling and Rosa was on top of our refills! I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Great place to take kids for their breakfast. Normal breakfast food, and I did like their lingonberry crepes.

The personnel is very kind with the customers. The food is very good. Tastes delicious. Is kind of a home style breakfast. The Chef is involved in all aspects of the business and if he is not busy, greets you when you arrive, says goodbye when you leave, charges you at the register when you want to pay, and gives you an answer to all the questions you may have. The food is at your table very quickly, at the right temperature, right condimented. Coffee is kind of strong but is good. I'm giving it four stars because today was my last visit to this place (me and my family drive all the way from Los Angeles), since we were surprised for the new prices. A cooked serrano chile costs $1.80, a single waffle with apple sauce costs $13, a side order of hashbrowns costs $4.50, and the list goes on and on. At least on Fridays they close at 3 pm, has parking available for free and has restrooms. No need of reservation or waiting to be seated.

The food was served fresh, the waffles was soft with a lite crisp. I enjoyed the chicken fried steak with eggs. Lulu our server was polite, enviting and attentive. Fair price, good portions, GREAT GROUPON!! The elderly gentleman in the front. Idk, if he is the owner but he could work on being more hospitable. He is not really welcoming to be at the front. Other than that every visit has been good thus far.

Good food even better customer service. Everytime we go there we get treated very well and with fast service, not only from our waitress but other employees as well. The food could be better, only reason for 4 stars rather than 5.

Review based off takeout. Quick service, meat lover's omelet very good, bacon avocado was good but avocado didn't taste that great. I like the pancakes but they forgot to give us syrup, only minor flaw but overall good place and friendly staff. Highly recommend

Waitress here was funny and made the experience nicer. Had some good laughs through a few mistakes. I ordered the pancake combo and nothing stood out for either good or bad. The chocolate pancakes that I did order were a bit dense.

We arrived little past 6pm. It was practically empty. Besides us, 1 table of customers. Food came out slow. Waitress Maria did her best. I think there was only 1 cook in the back. Food quality was average. My mother-in-law's Fish & Chips...came out cold. For a restaurant that displays "Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner," it needs to step it up a notch.

The food looks alright and tastes the same . The crepe barely had any nutella in it. The hot chocolate tasted like water . The chicken strips were dry and the fries looked old . The service was okay . Probably not coming back here again . But I did love the strawberry lemonade.

Over price for the food quality. 2 adults and 3 kids $150 + tip witch the waitress added on the bill ( $25 ) for basic plates. 3 kids apple juice $15 dollars. Not even halfway into us eating our food and waitress gives us the bill. Definitely not going back.

This place is an old Dennys and the interior is kinda dated. Food was ok just not great, turkey sausage was ok, they forgot the cheese on my eggs and pancakes (cheesecake strawberry) were small and not impressive. Service is great! Friendly staff. Unfortunately the food is not as good as the service. There was a bad taste in the hash browns it almost tasted like spoiled meat, and the waffle was undercooked. I was hoping that this place wasn’t going to have a “chain restaurant” vibe. More family owned type of business with a more home style approach to the food. The best part of the meal was the eggs made perfectly to order which is rare.

The 2 star is for the awesome crew, the food gets 0. The food isn't worth the price. IHOP priced breakfast but everything is bland and cold. The waffle's butter serving is so small, it doesn't even cover half a waffle. The food were cold, NOT warm, cold. The bacon looks like it was recycled and refried. It even had hash browns sticking on it. It looks like someone returned their order and they saved the bacon for the next customer. Eww. Never coming back here again.

The only complain i have is the errogance foul language of the male staff, very unprofessional and sitting in people both and tables is very uncalled for. Do not buy the Groupon for this establishment. We did, and ordered senior items from the menu. They were not discounted, but rather of smaller portions. When we presented our Groupon, we were told that it could not be combined with other offers and we had to pay the full price. Very disappointing come on. Just be cautious.

Came here for the first time, got the crepe combo, sadly the bacon was overcooked, the eggs weren't seasoned and the hashbrowns were bland and overcooked. The crepes were good, but had too much butter drenched on them.

Disappointed with their service . I called in to before coming in asking and confirming their advertised “kids eat free”. Came in with my son and niece. The server charged me all the meals and then was rude when I asked If he would honor the advertised meal for the kids . Still charged me. This is a disrespect , the restaurant should not falsely advertise. Will not be coming here anymore.

Food tasted awful. The pictures in the menu were not what we ordered. Sausages were small, and so were the scrambled EGG (yes 1 egg) This was a door dash order 2 people $50.

I ordered through grubhub very disspaiunted spent 70 bucks for a breakfast that wasn't even that great the Alfredo was 16 bucks and the container wasn't even full they give you more woe less at pizza hut ..it was very bland never ordering from here again pancakes weren't good either they taste bland

I have been eating at this restaurant for many years, However, my wife and I went to have breakfast at I Heart Pancakes. When the server approached our table to take the order, off the menu I requested Machaca and Eggs, I asked for egg whites instead and no cheese, he told me he will charge me extra for the egg whites. I asked him why, he told me is the company policy, I understand now days they charge for everything extra, however, I find this isn't right because I just asked to have remove the egg yolks and the cheese. if I would asked for extra cheese I'm sure they would have charged me extra. I requested to speak to the manager and he told me the same thing the server did. At this point I just let my wife had her breakfast and decided no to order anything. On our way out I approached the owner and explained the situation to him but he he told me that whatever the server said he was right, and then he grabbed my ticket and wrote 10% off and didn't want to hear anything about it. I didn't like his rude attitude so I paid the bill with out the discount..... I have been working in costumer service for many years and I was expecting a different response, but boy time has changed big time,!! customer service is sadly disappearing!! to make the long story short.... it was an extremely bad experience. My family and friends will no longer eat at this eatery and I will no longer recommend it to no one.

Sat us right next to the bathrooms, could smell them the entire time we were eating as well as make eye contact with people coming in and out. They have 3 tables 10 feet across from restrooms, nearly facing them. Service was rude. Food was inedible, ham had specks of mold on it. Inside and outside of restaurant was dirty and tables were sticky.

I was just there today. It was our first time and will be our last time. When i was ready to pay i asked the cashier to split our checks. On my card i asked to be charged $70 and the rest of the amount on my wifes card ($49) Total was $119 and cents. When i checked my card valance i noticed it said $84 instead of $70. I checked the redtaurant receipt and it only said the amount paid by my wifes card ($49) but not my amount. The cashier over charged me $14.00 with out me been ok with it. Bad experience and will not be back again. U dont money from any body even if its for a Tip. Tip is Optional.
