Farmer Boy Santa Barbara Reviews
Super fast service Fun Atmosphere Beautiful Mountains to look at. Food is good. I still go here at least once a week. The Eggs Benedict is my favorite! Served with delicious hash browns!
Great breakfast. Cinnamon buns smelled incredible. Huevos rancheros were amazing. Kids got bagel with lox and waffles. Everyone left happy! Also the service was super friendly.
My favorite breakfast spot whenever I'm in town. The pancakes are the real star of the show- I don't know what they put in them and they won't tell me. Service is fast and friendly. Even when they get really busy they stay on top of service. Fantastic spot.
First time here and the food was delicious, large portions and honestly, the nicest waitstaff in all of Santa Barbara!! We have found our perfect breakfast spot. Also, they don't lean on cheap seed oils! Come here, and come often!
Farmer Boy – Santa Barbara Farmer Boy is hands down one of my favorite breakfast spots in Santa Barbara. The food is excellent, the prices are extremely fair, and the service is some of the best I’ve experienced anywhere in town. I’ve been here when it’s packed and when it’s quiet, and the service never slips. Jessica is always pleasant, smiling, attentive, and observant. Robert is everywhere at once in the best way possible — refilling drinks, setting and clearing tables, opening the door for guests, and keeping everything running smoothly without missing a beat. He has such a genuinely pleasant demeanor. When I told him I thought he did a great job, he smiled and said, “Thank you — I do it for you guys!” That pretty much sums up the spirit of this place. And the food? Consistently excellent. I’m very picky about how my eggs are cooked, and I’ve never once had to send them back — they actually understand over medium here, which is rare and much appreciated. If I had one wish, it would be that they were open for dinner. Until then, Farmer Boy remains an absolute go-to for breakfast done right.
Busser was on point, exceptional service and had waters to the table in minutes. Great hustle. The food was fast and tasty, but I found two small hairs on my dish.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. The food for this type of diner is extremely well made, excellent in fact. Extremely reasonably priced, especially considering quality. I got the Two Eyed Toad in the Hole.
If you're visiting from out of town, you might ask yourself if you should eat at the familiar, name brand breakfast spot, or Farmer Boy? The correct answer, you guessed it, is actually more affordable and ten times more delicious. Be patient and efficient because they do get a bit busy.
Early risers will appreciate this hometown diner. Great food, hot coffee, and friendly staff make this a go-to stop when in Santa Barbara. The place is popular with locals, so get there early!
First time! Came with a group of 6 , no wait to get sat, food did not take long. Great place! Good food! Solid atmosphere! The owner or manager was kind and helpful. The servers were attentive. The prices are fair and the portions are great. It was a little warm inside but that’s alright.
I had one of the scrambles with hash browns and took home one of their ENORMOUS cinnamon buns. The food was as good as I expected, but the service is where this place shines. The staff is incredible friendly, but the man who served me could tell I’m not the chatty type and kept the small talk short. I love servers who can read the room better than they read a script, and this team has it figured out. The customers were a blend of folks trying out a new place and locals who have been coming here for years. My visit was an all-around good experience.
**Amazing Chicken and Waffles Experience!** I stopped by Farmer Boys in Santa Barbara for their chicken and waffles, and I was blown away! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. The waffle was light, fluffy, and had that perfect golden crunch. Together, they made for a deliciously satisfying combination. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast or a savory brunch, this dish is a must-try. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!"
I really like this place. It's a small cafe with delicious breakfasts. The staff is very polite, they notice the smallest details, you can see that they have a teamwork. The atmosphere is pleasant, everything looks clean and well-groomed. delicious cappuccino. Food cooked perfectly, everything is fresh. Prices are average. I want to come back here again. I recommend this place
Excellent breakfast. I hadn’t been since I was a kid, but it’s still got excellent high quality food and a great atmosphere. The whole vibe is a throw back to the mid century diner with an elevated feel. The eggs Benedict was the best I’ve had anywhere, and the French toast and waffle were top notch.
My friend and I went to Farmer Boy this morning. I used to go to the old one almost every other day, as I lived right down the street. I had read that when Brophy Bros., bought the restaurant they would keep the same menu, but they haven't. I really miss the Railroad French Toast. Today, we had the Santa Barbara Locals Omelet. It was good. Good portions. The service was great. The interior is set up to look like an old-fashioned diner. I love the photos on the wall, set up with classy glass. The booths are spacious and comfortable. There is a good menu, lots of great selections and it has lots of value at the price point. The restaurant is clean and well-appointed. If you haven't tried the new edition of Farmer Boy check them out. Brophy Bros., has done a wonderful job.
The food here is amazing! It's also reasonably priced for the fantastic quality. This time I had the Baja scramble and it was just delicious! My friends had the chicken and waffles and the Santa Barbara omelette. Everything was wonderful! As with all great places, the wait can sometimes be a little long. Call ahead and check the wait time if you can.
