Lokum Santa Barbara Reviews
Wandered in whilst waiting to see a movie during SBIFF, and it was the best random find! I had the blueberry almond and the saffron pistachio, both were delicious. They’ve got lots of trinkets and gift options as well. Must try.
Pleasantly surprised to find turkish delight during my visit to SB! Olivia was a delight and very helpful. The interior is beautiful! Not as good as Turkey but wayyyyyy better than store bought.
Chic Turkish coffee spot in the heart of Santa Barbara! This store is a visual feast, bejeweled and studded with mound after mound of Turkish delights - among other confections. Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon coffee (who needs high tea when you can have Turkish coffee?!). Huge variety of snacks and sweets along with a wide variety of teas and coffee to pick from. If you’re not familiar with Turkish coffee it has a different texture from drip coffee or espresso. Highly recommend giving this spot a try!
Absolutely loved this place. The employees are awesome and helpful. The turkish delights are delicious and mesmerizes you even before eating them. I would suggest drinking the traditional turkish coffee next to the turkish delight. It's a bit on the expensive side but worth it for the experience.
I'm absolutely thrilled to share my love for Turkish delights, a true confectionery masterpiece. From the moment I first tasted the soft, chewy texture, I was hooked on these sweet treats. The delicate balance of flavors, often including rose petals🌹, pistachios 🌰, and citrus, is simply divine. I can't get enough of the classic cubes and the beautiful presentation of these delightful sweets. For anyone with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend trying some Turkish delights; you won't regret it! 🇹🇷 #TurkishDelights #SweetTreats #Confectionery #DessertLove #Foodie
It's such a beautiful shop, always neat and clean. It's filled with beautiful imported gifts and delicious Turkish delight, so many flavors! There's also a cafe at the back of the store serving Turkish coffee and Pssssst, they sell the TikTok famous Dubai chocolate there! Better grab it while you can! This has become an annual tradition for our family to stop by on our way home. I have to get my specialty TD. My faves are the rosehip and pistachio & the nougat pistachio. Makes the long drive home so much better. ;)
Yesterday I stopped in to see their offerings and was immediately given a sample of Turkish delight, which was yummy. I returned today to purchase more to bring home as well as baklava. The Turkish delight is beautiful to behold and so many varieties. I can’t wait to share with colleagues at work. I also bought baklava, which looked so good and look forward to enjoying once I get home. The staff were wonderful in telling me my options and describing each piece that was placed in the box. The shop itself is gorgeous with its high ceilings and hanging lights. I’ll have to return for some coffee in the future.
I spotted Lokum before Sarah, but I knew that we would be stocking up on Turkish Delight as soon as she saw it. Walking into the shop itself was like being transported to Istanbul, where we first delighted in Turkish Delight. Many multi-shaped perforated tin lamps hang at various heights from the high ceiling and the bookcase-style wall is neatly lined with Turkish products, including coffee and appropriate little espresso-type cups to sip if from. But there are two stars of this show, one of which is a selection of Turkish Delight with more colors than the 100 Crayola crayon box, and almost as many flavors. The other star of the show is baklava, which is the only type of dessert that I will ever choose over chocolate. The baklava selection was the broadest and most beautiful and interesting that I have seen anywhere, including in Istanbul. We left with a supply of TD that would probably last normal people about a year, but may have us planning a flight back to Santa Barbara much sooner. The baklava was history by the time we got back to the hotel.
I was really looking forward to trying some authentic Turkish lokum (Turkish delight), but I was shocked at how expensive everything was in this store. The sweets looked nice, but the prices were absolutely crazy for such small quantities. I’ve had better-tasting lokum at half the cost elsewhere. Definitely not worth what they’re charging. This is my second try and I Won’t be coming back.
