Meet Fresh Santa Clara Reviews
Manager Jamie works super hard. Extremely customer oriented, very hard working and do her best to support special request. Location is excellent and I hope their lease gets renewed forever. Highly recommending this place!
This was my first time visiting, and I was truly impressed by the staff’s service. Everyone was very friendly and thoughtful. I ordered almond tea with mini Q and taro paste, and one of the staff members kindly offered to put the taro paste in a separate container so the amount of almond tea wouldn’t be reduced. She even checked if I had enough time and freshly prepared the almond tea for me, which made it taste extra fresh and delicious. Compared to the perfunctory and indifferent service you often experience at other places, this shop genuinely cares about its customers. It feels warm and welcoming, and I would definitely come back again.

Tasty but pricy dessert. I had it for my lunch today. 鮮芋仙 was never my favorite dessert place in Taiwan. But it is sort of one when I miss my home desserts here. It was not bad, but too pricy. I had a hot grass jelly with taro, taro balls, and peanuts ($12.28). Taro was very well cooked. It was soft not mashy, still can chew the churchy bites of taro👍. Taro balls are decent. Peanuts is a must-to-have topping for hot grass jelly (for many Taiwanese, I believe🤣🤣). Unfortunately they were soft type not churchy ones, although they were still good. The grass jelly base was OK. With the toppings, the dessert was too sweet. I am not sure if the sweetness can be adjusted or not. I guessed not because the staff didn’t ask me for the level of sweetness. It is nice dessert in a cold day. Oh… it was quite a big portion. The restaurant was clean and bright, also provides outlets for people to use. I like it😁 The staff was very friendly. He explained the difference of two types of taro balls for me to order the one I wanted. Its restroom was clean👍. Maybe because it was Tuesday lunch time, there were only few customers in the restaurant (Santa Clara). It was nice to enjoy the time and food and doing nothing here.
We have ordered a grass jelly bowl and chocolate chip egg waffle. The grass jelly bowl is very authentic Taiwanese food and yummy, however, it's a bit pricey. Kids love the egg waffle with ice cream. Overall, it's a bit pricey, but I'm grateful to have authentic Taiwanese foods here.

I recently stopped by Meet Fresh and ordered their Signature Shaved Ice Bowl — and wow, the portion size definitely lived up to the “huge” reputation! From the moment it arrived, the bowl was piled high with finely shaved ice and loaded with toppings: taro balls, mochi, potato balls etc., The portion is huge
Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Milk tea with grass jelly and ube qq waffle (condensed milk dip). Taste is good. But the waffle has holes...
Food: 5/5 I got my red bean soup customized. 1/3 sugar level, mini taro balls, red bean, grass jelly. Service: 2/5 it is perfect that there are two self order kiosk located on opposite sides right when you walk in. There is 0 acknowledgement from the staff here from when i walk in to when I pickup order for dine-in. A number call that my order is ready would be good and a greeting during arrival/pickup order. Ambiance: good amount of seating options and areas available. There are booths as well has two people sitting places (though the seats for this option is not comfortable as the chairs don’t have back rest). The atmosphere is a bit stuffy too, improvement in air quality would be good. The return utensils area could also use air freshener, very stinky there.
Well, my streak of perfect reviews ends here. I only really come here for milk tea, as I'm not really into boba. They do serve a large selection of desserts here, but I can't really say that I'm into them either, because they all involve that gelatin texture of which I'm simply not a fan. Maybe my review would be higher if I tried other things at this location, but this review is all about the overall experience. Meet Fresh is in the Rivermark shopping center, which is a pretty good location. You can find a lot of other places to eat and drink here, including Pete's around the corner, so this put a lot more pressure on them to me perform. The selection of milk teas is pretty broad here, but I went with the traditional so I can compare it to other venues. The regular order comes out a bit on the sweet side, so I would have to recommend ordering a drink with half sugar. As a side note, I've had traditional milk tea here on three occasions, and the former recommendation came after a couple of attempts to get what I really wanted. The real drag on the entire experience is the ordering process. Everyone orders from the automated machines, but the touch screens have sensitivity issues. Sometimes it can take two to three presses of a button before the screen finally registers your selection. It really just ruins the entire experience because that's how it starts. Anything after that is really the process of recovery. I can't handle this place a solid recommendation, but if you're in the area and are desperate for boba, it's probably worth a shot.
Pros: They offer a variety of cold/hot dessert soups like taro tapioca and sorts. They have two kiosk you can self-order for your items and it will text you when order is ready. Lots of seating indoors and nice seating outside. The place is in a nice plaza with other these other shops. Good service. Good location. Cons: The kiosk are by the front entrance so there's congestion in the front. I ordered the matcha egg waffle but it did not have much flavor as advertised. Just a plain taste.

The wait to get your order here is really long here. Most of the time coming here, I wait half an hour just for milk tea, even though there is usually barely anyone else in the store. If you're planning to go, I recommend ordering online ahead of time to save yourself the wait. On top of that, the ordering machine is broken most of the time and the tables are really sticky

July 24th Update: downgrade to Two Stars… Red Bean soup is like water with no red beans… even worse is that they now also skimp on the taro 🥹. Glad I organized more taro and jelly otherwise the soup would have just been brown water. Incredibly disappointing. ———- Just ordered with GrubHub and it was delivered super fast. Averaging a score of 3 stars because they are consistently inconsistent 😆. I’ve had excellent DoorDash orders and bad DoorDash orders in which things are missing. I’ve also gone in person and not been impressed with the portions of strawberries (as compared to Cupertino). Meet Fresh packaging is super neat and glad they use paper over plastic containers. Pleased with the fully-filled portion size! Good to split! Icy (or hot)jelly with taro, red bean, boba is my favorite along with the side of almond jelly with red bean.

We got a red bean soup and tofu dessert, along with a milk tea. The food was good, but luke warm because it was sitting out for so long. Honestly I feel bad for the employees, they were so backed up on orders, their machines weren't working, and there were only three of them to work a full rush. The manager needs to hire more staff around the rush times, and fix up the tech. We missed out on our free riceballs and free merch that were suppose to be included, because I didn't want the understaffed employees to spend time to get them when they were barely surviving.
Waiting 20ish mins for just a tofu pudding is ridiculous cuz everything is pre-made and they just need to scoop it into a bowl. People lined up for their order and there was just one guy making the food. The cashier guy kept telling me that guy was making my order but I saw him handing orders to other customers again and again. The cashier finally went to help make orders but he didn't wear his mask and was talking all the time. With all these I won't come back to this place.

This is the smallest egg waffle I have ever seen! I ordered in store takeout for a cup of milk tea and a waffle, total $15.28. I didn't check the box in store and I was shocked after open it at home. The waffle is only twice the size of a small dipping cup! Also, I ordered Ube flavor but it has a strong chocolate taste. Apparently they didn't clean the pot when making new waffles!!! I concern of the cleaness of this place. Someone told me this small piece is a $3 gift size when you order $10 more. But I paid $7 in store on the machine expecting a regular egg waffle but the staff said nothing. This is insane. This place does not care for customers at all!!!
I recently visited Meet Fresh in Santa Clara and ordered the Winter Melon Tea with boba. Unfortunately, I found it way too sweet to drink. I asked the cashier for help, and she added water to it, but that just diluted the flavor, leaving me with something that tasted like sugar water. I explained that I still didn’t like it, but they didn’t offer a refund or replacement drink. In the end, I had to throw away the drink without even finishing half of it—it was disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and definitely wouldn’t recommend this place
I just wanted to provide some feedback regarding your shop. My wife ordered one drink, oolong milk tea with caramel pudding, and the order was initiated at 4:35pm on 11/25/2023. I went to check the order at 5:09pm, and it was still not ready. Initially it was only three workers in the back, and then two girls came in around 4:45pm. This was our first time visiting this store, and it will be our last. There were easily 7-10 other customers waiting for their orders as well. This was truly a disappointing experience. The order finally came out at 5:11pm. I asked my wife if it was worth the 30 minutes wait, when she tried the drink. It was not worth it.
We live in the neighbourhood and this used to be our go to place for desserts/drinks after our walks etc. We have also noticed the decline in their service perhaps they are just understaffed but on our last visit on Aug 31st, we had to wait for almost AN HOUR just to get our orders of 1 Shaved Ice & a Drink. From just 3-4 customers in front of us to a crowd of people in the store, all waiting for our orders! My husband was frustrated because of the very long wait, was thirsty(he just wanted a drink!) and had our 2yo toddler already getting impatient. We left without our order and walked to Cold Stone, got ourselves ice cream and shakes instead. And guess what…. We received a text frm Meet Fresh that our orders were ready only AFTER we finished our ice cream and walking back home! Just look at the photo I attached, they received our order at 18:32 and our order was only ready at 19:21!! My husband said we’re never going back to Meet Fresh. The last time we were at their Cupertino store was the same! We only ordered 1 drink, ONE, and had to wait more than half an hour! We almost left before our number were called! They really need to have a system that is efficient since they’re serving not only drinks but tons of desserts as well as online orders!
The tofu with potaro balls came with lots of black specks in it. We didn’t order it with sesame so don’t know if they were dirty or not as most of the tofu were mostly crumbly.

I ordered tofu pudding but watered down. If you want the best Cantonese style go to HK cafe in Castro valley

I go here weekly as I work nearby, and I get tea very often at nearby tea shops. There is one worker who always gets my order wrong. Today I went in after I had lunch and they spilled the milk tea all over my cup but didn't clean it before serving it to me, it wasn't even busy so there was no excuse. I am going to stop coming here now because the service here is so terrible and the wait times are long. I will tell my friends and coworkers to stop going here too. I'm going to start going to Molly Tea instead next door, much better than what I can get here.
My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for lunch today, never expecting that a simple meal would turn into such a humiliating and upsetting ordeal that left me heartbroken and wronged. After placing our order, both of us started feeling stomach discomfort and needed to use the restroom. A Mandarin-speaking female staff member named Jamie (we weren’t sure of her position) approached my boyfriend while I was in the stall, asking when I would come out and whether we had already ordered. Since I’ve been suffering from gastrointestinal issues and have to take medication, I needed about 15 minutes in the restroom. Her questions made me feel extremely anxious, and I also worried about holding others up. I immediately asked my boyfriend if anyone was waiting for the restroom, and he confirmed there was no line. I then stayed in the stall and had my boyfriend tell Jamie we had already placed our order. But just two or three minutes later, instead of a polite knock, someone started slamming hard on the restroom door repeatedly. I was in the middle of using the toilet, and the sudden loud banging made my heart race violently with intense panic. All I could think about was the terrifying possibility of her bursting in and catching me in a vulnerable, undressed state. Her behavior was completely rude, abrupt, and incredibly offensive. Fearing I might be inconveniencing others, I quickly gathered my things and rushed out. Jamie was standing in the hallway staring at me as I exited. She then went into the restroom herself a few minutes later—and walked out after just one minute. By then, our food had arrived, and we were about to start our meal. But Jamie marched right over to me and began lecturing me loudly in public. She demanded that I “clean the restroom properly as if it were my own home” before leaving, claiming “everyone does this.” Her words were laced with innuendos that implied I lacked basic manners and upbringing. The whole situation was utterly ridiculous and humiliating. Let me make this clear: 1. I was not using the restaurant’s restroom without being a customer—we were paying patrons who had already ordered food. There was no one waiting for the restroom at all, so why did she slam on the door like that? She later claimed she was “worried something had happened to me,” but she had just checked in with my boyfriend minutes earlier and knew I was suffering from stomach pain. There was absolutely no excuse for such rude and aggressive treatment of a paying customer. 2. Her demand that I “treat the restaurant restroom like my own home” is absurd. Do I have to pay for meals at my own home? Why on earth would a restaurant expect a customer to clean their public restroom? This request is completely unreasonable and preposterous. 3. As a paying customer, being publicly berated by a staff member—with veiled insults about my upbringing—speaks volumes about the restaurant’s abysmal staff training. What kind of service staff publicly scolds the people who are paying their wages? We later asked to speak to a male manager about the incident. But Jamie was extremely confrontational the entire time, repeatedly interrupting me while I was talking to him. Instead of addressing my legitimate complaints and protecting a customer’s rights, the manager blatantly took Jamie’s side. His only attempt to “resolve” the issue was offering two free drinks to brush off the whole thing, which was nothing but a lazy, dismissive gesture. A restaurant that wants to thrive long-term must understand that respect is non-negotiable. Staff members are the face of a business, and it’s clear this establishment cares nothing about treating its customers with basic decency. I will never step foot in this restaurant again, and I strongly advise anyone considering dining here to think twice—save your money, your mood, and your dignity.

I already ordered four milk teas on the machine, but I also wanted to get one hot red bean soup. The machine was hard to use , I had to move tab by tab and there was no search function. After trying several times and not finding it, I asked a staff member if I could order one hot red bean soup. The staff told me to order from the machine. I said I couldn’t find it, and they just said “it’s definitely in there.” I asked which category it was under, but the staff didn’t answer. Their attitude was cold and unhelpful. After searching a few more times, I finally found hot red bean soup on the machine.
