I wanted to try a good breakfast on my way to the airport and so glad I stopped at Mikayla’s Cafe. Since I don’t know the area, I was a little skeptical at first sight, but it was a friendly atmosphere and delicious spicy crab cakes Benedict. I also enjoyed a Latte.

The food was absolutely amazing. I had their grilled cheese with bourbon bacon, and it was wonderful. Today I had the bourbon bacon Jam tacos and they are very good. Today is febuary 3rd and our food service was not good at all. Probably gave them about a 12% tip we were just sitting there and sitting there waiting for somebody to pick up our dirty dishes ask us if we want anything else like our check

Great spot for brunch! Good food and excellent service. The only downside is the noise from planes and trains.

This place was recommended by my niece. There's 2 locations and she told us this one would work best for us. Several family members stayed in the Bay Area over night at the Hilton for a memorial service and I came up with the idea to ho have brunch together before we drove back home. My niece said that this location was bigger and we also knew the 49ers had a Ramon Monday so the surrounding areas and locations in Santa Clara were going to be pretty busy. We had delicious food & great company. Coming to Mikayla's Café gave us more opportunity to have some quality time with family members that we don't see as often anymore. The food was yummy and my cousin said his plate of food looked just like the menu and when I saw it I was 'wowwed' by the fancy presentation... I'm sharing these photos with all of you. If you haven't gone to Mikayla's put it on your to do list. Food was great, hospitality was great, and it was an excellent choice. I know I will go back again & also recommend this place to others I know.

Charming little restaurant in the heart of Silicon Valley. Close to a lot of tech companies, this restaurant in Santa Clara serves up delicious breakfast and lunch. The spicy crab cake Benedict is a must-try! Hash browns were perfectly cooked, and they were very prompt with the coffee refills. Great spot to meet friends or just for a quiet solo meal. Efficient and friendly staff. Small free parking lot.

My go to for breakfast/lunch. Ordered the cornbeef hash with poached eggs and side order of apple sausage. Been here many times. Will keep coming back. Plenty of seats and brightly lit eating area. Counter seats have tv viewing.

Hoping for a chill breakfast with friends, I found this spot on Google. It was everything I was hoping for as the menu was extensive and the service was quick. The portions were also surprisingly big and each item had good flavor. This place is pretty run of the mill, but it will definitely satisfy your cravings for classic breakfast foods at a great value.

Food was good and generous portions, got seated right away on a Saturday morning, tried to go back Sunday but they were packed and we had to head back home.

Nice, shaded, outdoor seating at this location. Great food. We had a great server who gave us suggestions of what to order. Chicken and waffle + spicy crab cake were both good. Food came out very quickly and it was hot! I recommend this place for a casual breakfast/brunch (diner-like) experience.

Loved everything we ordered (bacon, chicken fried steak, iced vanilla latte); they were all so good. Everyone was also very friendly. Wish they would also open branches outside of SF.

Great breakfast place! They have my favorites of french toast or waffles, plus great benedicts and scrambles. Service here is quick and friendly. Breakfast is a big deal for me and I highly recommend them. Outdoor seating and a good amount of parking.

Amazing breakfast/brunch and even better service. I was assisted and served quickly. We ordered the UFC sandwich and Bourbon Jam Burger and they were delicious. The Tater Tot Bombs are a must try along with a fresh press juice mimosa! Parking can get a little full but it's worth it.

Visiting from out of town and found this awesome breakfast restaurant. Cafe coffee and homemade quality with large portions. Price comparable to all sit down breakfast Resturant’s. 5 Stars!

Ate here while visiting the area. The food was good and the service was reasonably quick. The coffee is overpriced however, no espresso drinks and only drip.

Wholesome, family-style brunch spot, tons of options with good quality and decent portion, service is prompt and friendly.

Usually less crowded after 12 PM. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The service is also good. The food is okay.

We were looking for a cozy not crazy crowded brunch place in Santa Clara, and I'm happy we found one. There are indoor sitting and outdoor sitting (patio with heaters and shade, as well as open space) options. Servers seem caring and doing everything quickly (at least when it's not very busy), they were checking on us a few times and giving a coffee refill without request. House coffee is a good one, but not the best one. With the order we got all the condiments, sauces and ketchup after requesting one. The food is good overall, interesting sauce for a wrap and a nice hollandaise for eggs benedict. The only little surprise is a hard biscuit under the eggs which tastes like it was refrigerated and then put in the microwave, not freshly baked for sure. Overall it's a good place for a weekend brunch, we will come back again soon for sure.

Mikayla’s Cafe has two locations and both of them are in Santa Clara. For my visit today, I got to go to the one on Aldo Ave. The place has its own property and there is a nice amount of parking for you all so don’t worry. It does get super busy on the weekends so I recommend going on a weekday versus a weekend. They offer indoor and outdoor dining, they cleaned the tables for you when you arrive, and do their best to have you guys get a nice brunch experience despite still having COVID-19 around. When I got there, there was no one dining and I was happy because I wasn’t in a crowded restaurant. I was served 8 of their brunch items but I ended up taking 4 of them home to eat because that was a lot of food. I took home the chicken and waffles, grilled pork sandwich, the Belgian Waffle, and the veggie benedict. Because I am trying to reduce the amount of meat I’m eating, I took a little bit of the chicken and waffles and then a grilled pork sandwich. My father ate the rest of it. The chicken and waffles looked like a chicken fried steak but regardless, I loved the breading of the chicken and how crispy the skin was. My dad said that the chicken was nicely cooked but he thinks it should be seasoned a bit more and it was a tad dry. The waffle really was delicious and fluffy! I really like how fluffy and soft the waffle was and my dad thought the waffle was very nice to go with the chicken as well. The pulled pork sandwich, I thought the meat and sandwich ratio looked very nice and when I tasted a bit of the sandwich, it was chewy but not tough which I really liked. My dad thought the sandwich was nice and tender and the pork fell apart really nicely. Overall, the sandwich was a hit, especially for my father. I was so looking forward to the veggie benedict and I have to say that literally, I loved this egg benedict. The egg was nicely oozing out and that hollandaise sauce was nice and thick. I loved the flavors that came with the benedict and the hollandaise sauce was like the star of the show and really pulled everything together. Maybe a bit of pepper would be a nice touch so the egg itself would be more flavorful but regardless, I loved these eggs benedict. The Belgian waffle was so fluffy and light. When you drizzle it with syrup, it is just amazing to eat. Literally, a really nice waffle topped with berries was super delicious. I loved it so much. Overall, I 100% recommend this hidden gem! The owner and staff were very nice and this brunch spot is perfect for those of you who just want a nice American brunch. This is the spot for your brunch cravings!

Nice brunch spot with indoor and outdoor seating. One of the few places here in the Bay Area that serves breakfast tacos! Nice selection of standard brunch items like benedicts, scrambles, crepes and waffles as well. Wish they were open later!

Went with the family and was seated right away and gave us enough time to look at menu. Loved the Mikayla’s iced tea! There was no condiments on our table so we had to seek our own from other tables due to staff not coming around as often. As well as we had to flag down staff to get the check and ask for more coffee. Other than the service, iced tea and breakfast sandwich was great!

Visited on a Saturday morning- not too crazy for the breakfast/brunch crowd. We ordered an asian chicken salad, strawberry milkshake, iced coffee, and a pulled pork grilled cheese All were delicious, and served quickly. The staff was nice but could get distracted serving other tables and forget when we asked for things. Overall a very cute place with good food

Food was great , I tried a little bit of something off of everyone's plate in my group , crab cakes are a must , you can't go wrong with the biscuits chicken and gravy or a traditional American breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice, nice mom and pop spot to eat like your back home in Granadma ma's kitchen!!!

First time here, 6/14/25. Food was very good, We'd come back for the food for sure. Unfortunately service wasn't that good, although we told them it was our very first time there when we arrived. My coffee and water were never refilled, we got the food and they never showed up again, until we asked for the check. There were only 3-4 tables busy. We would come back again, the food was really worth it.

Great breakfast place. Had the pulled pork benedict and the croissant french toast. I would order again. Place is spacious with the tables spread out and even had outdoor seating. Parking gets full easily. I'll be coming back to try the other items on the menu. There's nothing else to see in the area, though.

Wasn't expecting much from this place but it's a typical brunch spot in an industrial area. Inside is opposite of what I expected. It was very nice and clean. Surprised the hell out of me. The menu had sandwiches and breakfast items. I got the morning burger which is a cheese burger with bacon and a sunny side egg. It was tasty. Went well with the Pacifico I ordered. They have mimosas but I'm pretty sure they do not have bottomless.

Such a small cute place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. The food was good & they didn't such a great job taking care of all the tables even when unstaffed. Definitely check it out.

The blueberry pancake was amazing!! The topping of fruits tasted good as well. Coffee was average.

Good place. Great variety menu and tastes. Only thing I'm going to stay away from here moving forward are the buttermilk pancakes. $15 for 2 pancakes is steep imo. Thought I was paying for 3-stack... Unless this price was heavily inflated for online orders?!... idk.

Great Weekend Spot with My Dog! I love coming to Mikayla’s Cafe on the weekends, especially because I can bring my dog with me. The food is always delicious, and the hash browns here are my favorite — perfectly crispy and flavorful.

This place is amazing. The food is extremely tasty, fresh and very homely. The avocado toast is our favorite! Just took off 1 star because there were a lot of ants on one of the tables outside, and there was a strong dead animal smell where we were sitting. No issues with the food and service though, they’re both fantastic!

We had breakfast here early on Thursday morning and there were only a few other tables. Service was prompt. Food was nothing special. My husband didn’t like the coffee and thought the sausage on his sandwich had little taste.

This was the 2nd time my husband and I tried Mikayla's, having just moved to Santa Clara from the San Jose area. It's... okay. Passable, even, as breakfast cafes go. Their house coffee is a little watery (I wanted to try the iced coffee, but Vietnamese coffee is way to caffeinated for me, as I'm currently pregnant) but I appreciated that they were able to give me soymilk for my creamer, as some places don't have anything non-dairy, and I just have to do without. We both have dietary restrictions (he's lactose intolerant, and I have multiple food allergies) and they did a good job of double checking ingredients for us before we placed our orders. My husband had the country-fried steak, no gravy (contains dairy), no eggs (I'm allergic), sub extra fries. He said it was pretty good. I got the vegan breakfast wrap, no spinach tortilla (gluten intolerant), with a side of grilled chicken breast. The chicken, potatoes, onions, bell peppers, and spinach were very good, and well seasoned. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the tofu, which is dry and crunchy on the outside, slightly goey on the inside, and utterly tasteless, even when dipped in ketchup and tapatio. I ended up scraping it all off and just eating the veggies with the chicken. Overall, it was... okay. A little pricey, but the food was decent, and the server was attentive. We might go again, but it's not our first choice.

Saturday 7/10/21at 9:30am. Attentive friendly staff requires retraining. 50% capacity. Ordered 2x smokehouse burger. Was asked if we wanted fries or onion rings. Ordered with onion rings. Was not told that onion rings are $2 extra and menu does not show pricing. Were charged $2. Very confusing what burger is a "Signature Burger" because Signature burger includes lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. The smoke house burger does not include lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles but we ordered grilled onions and was not charged. Did not get lettuce, tomato and pickle with smoke house burger because smoke house is not signature burger. Was told Signature burger is Morning Burger, all very confusing. Menu says "Double Patty $3" but what they meant "Extra patty $3". The computer was charging $4. Spoke to Manager about confusing menu and incorrect pricing. He adjusted the pricing for extra patty by lowering price of one roadhouse burger but not second roadhouse so I overpaid by $1.09. Staff is a 4 because they tried, requires retraining. Menu is 1, for lack of clearity and menu pricing does not agree with computer.

The food was not too bad but the service could be better. They missed my food order and brought me the wrong items, but then happily adjusted it. The server didn't ask me how I like my eggs cooked and got me over easy, I forgot to ask myself but usually I expect the server to ask on. After a long wait (15-20 minutes), I figured out I had to pay myself at the counter when I finished eating.

C

Food was great, the wait for it, not so much. We had to ask for basic condiments, more napkins than for coffee. I understand they are busy but they offer selective service especially if you’re a local. That’s great but our money is just as green as the locals. Also, please do not serve a meal on a broken plate.

My friend and I came today just past noon. I ordered the egg and avocado tacos. The tacos were light and the eggs were yummy. The beans were so-so, but the salsa was good. My friend ordered the veggie sandwich with a patty that was allegedly made in-house. But when speaking with the waiter, he said it was the Beyond brand. After one bite, she said the bread is stale...as if it has been out for a while or just old. She said whatever and she'll just eat it. Another bite and nope! She couldn't even properly chew. I then attempted to get the attention of the waiter 3 times. He even looked at me but did not come over to our table. I finally went inside (we were seated outside) and asked him to please come to our table. He did and my friend showed him how she could not even rip a piece of the bread off because the burger buns were so hard. He said the buns are kept frozen. She asked if she could get a wrap instead. The waiter seemed hesitant. So she asked if she can get another burger unless that's going to be one of the frozen buns, too. The waiter said they'll make another burger. The waiter did bring a new burger which seemed to be in a better shape and my friend said it tasted better. Their iced house coffee, Vietnamese coffee, was yummy, a bit on the sweeter side and not bitter. I don't think I'll return.

Me and my partner were feeling adventurous and wondered into Mikayla’s. We got there and immediately notice that the ambiance is not on par with any of the other brunch spots in the South Bay. The front door had a hand written passive aggressive sign telling customers to ensure the door is closed. The staff doesn’t greet you and tells you to “just pick any spot.” Once sat the waiters forget that you exist and do not check on you at all. When you get them to come to your table they have poor people skills and just look and say nothing. The wait staff just stands behind the register chit chatting, and on their phones the whole time. The food is good (despite the fact they got one of our plates wrong) but the service is horrible. I would never come back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

O
Olivia Griswold

Space is clean and modern, not a ton of seating. Staff was kind, and observant. Food was okay. I wasn’t impressed. Bacon was burnt to a crisp. Out of 4 pieces only 1 was edible which my meal was supposed to only come with 2 pieces but my guess is since they burnt the first 2 they tried to make it better with adding another 2. Chicken tasted like it went bad with the chicken and waffle. It had a sour off putting taste to it. They did not charge me for the chicken and waffle though. Staff did try to make up for it but I was ready to leave at that point. Probably won’t come back.
