I had a fantastic experience at Mastro's Steakhouse! Mastro's Steakhouse impressed not only with its signature dishes but also with its inviting ambiance and impeccable cleanliness. The warm, elegant atmosphere enhanced the dining experience, making it a perfect setting for a special meal. The attention to cleanliness throughout the restaurant contributed to a sense of comfort and added to the overall positive impression. I had a fantastic experience at this location. The filet and bone marrow were cooked to perfection, and the creamed corn was a delightful side. The attentive service, especially from Robert, added to the overall enjoyment. Highly recommend for a great dining experience! Mastro's Steakhouse truly excels in creating a delightful environment for its patrons.

Has dinner at Mastro’s steakhouse, Valley Fair. Food was very nice. The seafood tower has a nice selection of seafood. The bone-in ribeye tastes pretty good. Their signature warm butter cake is always good and tasty. We dine in a private room and service was pretty good. Overall, experience is good and having it near the mall is an added advantage for parking.

Great food and great service. We were a party of 13 and we were told that we have to sign a paper agreeing to the gratuity of 20% plus a 4% banquet fee. This was the only strange thing in the whole experience otherwise a perfect venue for food and live entertainment. The steaks were at the percent temperature as well as all the side helpings that were tasty as well as plentiful in size. The servers were knowledgeable, polite and curious. Overall a great fine dining experience.

Mastro’s Steakhouse is an absolute treat! The live singing creates such an elegant and lively atmosphere — it really adds to the whole dining experience. The butter cake is beyond amazing — rich, warm, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The sushi tower was incredibly fresh, and even the bread they serve is soft and fresh out of the oven. The steak was perfectly cooked and so tasty — truly the star of the night. On top of all that, the service is exceptional — attentive, friendly, and professional. Everything about Mastro’s makes it a memorable night out!

Great service! If you are in the mood for a good steak try the inbone filet. We also had the KC steak, the sauce is amazing delicious. I wanted to dip everything in it. The bread basket was so good. I was not a fan of the cheese bread sticks.

Went here for dinner with some work colleagues and all I can say is wow. Evan was our server and he was fantastic. Always making sure we had everything we needed even before we had to look up. His food recommendations were also top tier. 10/10 would recommend him and Mastro's again.

We made reservations about 2 weeks out for the day after valentine’s day and this was quite the experience! From having our server nicolas provide 5 star service and the food we ordered coming out just right, this establishment is worth every dollar. I ordered a steak and my partner ordered sushi, and we were also recommended the lemon drop and berry drinks. We sat on the second floor and had a gorgeous view of the mall area. Truly a fine dining experience. Fantastic experience and if you are in town, THIS is the place to be.

Best Birthday ever!! July 8th was my birthday and my husband made last minute reservations and we were able to spend the evening in this lovely atmosphere with nice music m, low comfortable lights and great tasting food. The waiters who assisted my husband and I were Ray who shared his love of the menu choices and options that he thought me and my husband would enjoy. Along with Brittany, who was very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu choices and selections along with descriptions of the flavors. The night was busy and both still managed to work the room double back fill our beverages along with making sure we had the best dining experience. Afterwards ,our left over food was taken and packaged perfectly to go. I forgot to mention the menu read in bold neat writing “Happy Birthday Kashawna Wills” which made the visit and evening twice as special and personalized . On our way out I wanted my husband to capture a picture of this perfect evening and which he was failing at the attempt, Ray came out offered to take the pic and even kneeled to get a perfect upward angle. Excellence! I will return and speak highly of this experience until the next!

Mastro’s Steakhouse is truly on another level. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional — attentive, friendly, and professional. Our steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered, juicy and full of flavor. The sides were just as impressive, especially the lobster mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The atmosphere is upscale but comfortable, with great lighting and live music that makes the whole experience even better. It’s the perfect place for birthdays, special occasions, or just treating yourself to a high-quality meal. Mastro’s is easily one of the best steakhouses in the Bay Area. Worth every penny

If not the top, probably one of the top three steakhouses in the South Bay located at the Valley Fair Mall. I usually freak at this place if I decide to go on a date, or have a friend's birthday dinner. The steaks are cooked usually too perfection as I can see and the sides and the soups are also really damn good. Main thing is the ambience here. Depending if you look for something really lively, you would want to hang out downstairs by the bar or eat at any of the tables by the bar because they have a piano player there playing live music and it's a bit more lively. If you want something more cozy and intimate, you'll want to book your table upstairs as it's a little bit more luxurious up there and the ambiance is a bit more suited for putting a ring on it. 😂

We generally had a good experience. After giving it some thought I give it 4 stars, not 5, mostly based on price/quality. Appetizers (tuna tartar and bone marrow) were great. Steak was also quite good, but one steak was slightly overcooked (almost medium vs medium rare) and one steak was a bit more rare on one side than we expected (but actually very tasty!) server said something about “hot spots on the grill”, which for steak-house at this price point seems strange. The service overall was quite good (except our server completely disappeared for about 20 minutes right after the “medium doneness” situation). To be fair he did suggest to redo but I didn’t want to do it. Overall I still recommend this steakhouse, but it was not a perfect 5 stars.

Mastro's Steakhouse is a fine dining steakhouse, the exterior design of golden metrics explain it all. The vibe is low key, whole the food is high class, strongly recommend their ribeye, medium rare, you'll like it as I did.

At first, we had a reservation for the day after. We went and they still sat us, moving our reservation. It was great! Our server was really nice, there was some live music, piano player that was also signing. Food portions are generous. I 100% recommend sharing. They ask you to select your meat/protein and then order a side. I wish we would've shared more, or at least gotten one less side. We had the mutton, fillet, potatoes, brussel sprouts, and a few other things. The homemade whipped cream wasn't it... Butter cake either. But I liked my mutton!

First time in this location, they greeted us well the ambiance was fine dining level.  The appetizer, entree, and sides were perfectly cooked. Five stars all over the board.  I looked at the dress code on the website after I visited, and it says that it is a fine dining $$$$, and their dress code( short, Tshirt) was not followed by the customer. The Hostess and Managers didn't do anything about it. With respect to other customers, this is where they separate the fine dining Restaurant from a restaurant. ***

Went there during the foodie week. Had French onion soup and the 22 oz bone in ribeye steak medium rare, came out perfectly. My partner had the lobster bisque and the 12 oz bone in fillet, which turned out more like medium done instead of medium rare. Also ordered the cauliflower to share. Their wine pour was much more than normal... maybe around 8-9oz. Waiter and other servers were nice, gave us some suggestions to consider.

Mastro’s Steakhouse is a well known and popular chain with locations throughout the United States. I’ve been fortunate to have been to a few locations and it’s always a great meal with generous portions, ample seafood and meat options (USDA to Japanese A5 Wagyu) and with great service. The Valley Fair location is a popular location but I’m not a fan of the mall due to the paid parking (which isn’t validated) and how far the parking is to the actual restaurant (unless you valet). However, if you want an old school steakhouse vibe with 400° hot plates, steaks done appropriately medium rare and leftovers for days, this is your spot. Dining is indoor only and all credit cards are accepted. Reservations are recommended on Opentable but limited walk-ins are accepted.

Excellent Food, but Service Could Be Better I recently dined at Maestro Restaurant Statehouse, and while the food was absolutely excellent, the service didn’t quite meet expectations. Every dish was prepared with great attention to flavor and presentation, making for an outstanding culinary experience. However, the service was a bit slow and lacked attentiveness, which took away from the overall experience. If they can improve on that aspect, this place would easily be a 5-star destination. Still, if you’re looking for amazing food, it’s definitely worth a visit!

The food was great, good service, the room is dark as heck, could barely see what is was eating. But 2 things made this experience a 4 star and not a 5 star. I blame the bartender. I asked for a Siesta cocktail. And I know not everyone knows what one is. But a good bartender will look it up on several bartender apps. But unfortunately, the bartender didn't pay attention to how to serve one. I got served with ice in a HiBall glass. Any trained bar man or mixologists will know if a drink has Campari, it's going to be an aperitif. Therefore it's always served neat. Always serve in a nick n nora or a coupe glass. So I bring it up to the attention of waiter.Waiter takes it away and comes back with a poured into a big coupe. The problem is they didn't remake it.So now it's ultra diluted. So I figured i'm working with an inexperienced bartender, so I just drink it as is, and don't complain any further. But then I ordered a double espresso macchiato with my dessert. I usually order one to offset the sweetness of dessert. Never got. I was presented with the bill. I reminded her to 86 the espresso. Details people, details. It was a Tuesday evening, your weren't that busy.

Overrated steak house. The steaks are bland. The seafood dishes are bland. I prefer LB steak across the street at SR. The one thing they have going for them is the pianist on some nights and the nice bar. Other than that, it’s more of a spot to impress your date. But don’t expect the food to match the price. There much better places in the area.

We arrived here on Friday night, and they told us the dress code when reservation. I wore a long skirt, but when I opened the door, I saw a family wearing sweatpants and slip-on shoes. The atmosphere was pretty good, with live music and a modern bar. I was looking forward to the food but I can only sigh because I was disappointed. We ordered 6 oz fillet $54, dry aged ribeye $89, and side dishes $16 each. My fillet was too dry and had a bad texture. Among the side dishes, only the wild mushrooms were good. The others like Brussels sprout were too dry, and the spinach and mashed potatoes were very ordinary. We brought a bottle of wine, corkage fee $50. Not sure if we will come back again .

After we sat down at the table, we waited for about 15 minutes before our server finally showed up with menus and asked about our water preferences. The $6 bread basket seemed to be a good deal, but no, everything was way too salty. My hubby’s medium steak looked extremely rare. He didn’t enjoy it. The broccolini side I got with the jumbo lobster tail was also very salty. It was a pricy dinner and I was chugging water nonstop after that.

Hope A

We went to the steakhouse and were highly disappointed. We order around $600 of food for 3 people. They charged for the bread and brought a few pieces. Nothing special. Full of butter and garlic. For a restaurant with such high prices you would thing the break is included. NO. The starters were so small and very low quality shrimps (3 pieces) with tons of sauce. They said in their menu they were jumbo shrimps. They were regular shrimps drowned in sauce. The calamari was chewy and so few pieces. Both had so much garlic you could not taste the actual food. It is easy to mask the quality of food with butter and garlic. Then we ordered wagyu beef and the fish for main course. The so called wagyu beef was so hard and chewy. I have had both wagyu and kobe beef in Japan. The one we got at Mastro did not taste anything like the ones I had in Japan. Even buying Waguy beef from Costco is not only cheaper but also higher quality and tastier than the one we got at Mastro. Again, tons of butter on it. You could only taste the butter and garlic. The fish was supposed to have a crust of herb on it. The only thing added to it was loads of butter and garlic. The garlic was the main ingredient in everything we ordered. Then we ordered the french fries fried in waguy grease. NO. It was just regular fries fried in some cheap oil but at the price of gold. We also had fried broccoli. Again the main ingredient was garlic and butter. There was so much garlic salt and butter on it you could hardly taste the broccoli itself! We also ordered the gnocchi with mushroom. It was loaded with butter, garlic and cream. Oh my GOD it was so displeasing. For the price we paid for 3 people it was a grand disappointment. It is a good restaurant if you have a gift card to waste or show off to people telling them you can spend a lot of money. However, everything about the food was disappointing. The decor and ambiance were very mediocre and it was very cold in the restaurant. We asked 3 times for the temperature to be raised. It was not. The manager/owner showed up and said she is boiling since she had raised the temperature for us. However, it was obvious that she was not being honest since all 3 of us froze. It was so uncomfortable to just sit there in the cold and wait for our food to be presented while freezing. We could not wait to get out of there. They also made a mistake on our bill which we brought to their attention. They corrected it. However, it left a very bad taste in our mouth. Do not recommend it.
