Excellent customer service, cute shop and delicious coffee and bagels!
Yes, they're open! Clean place & good amenities including outlets ;~] friendly quick service too, appreciate you Lulu's!
A good fresh scone and a pepper spiced Diablo latte were a lovely way to finish my morning’s work on the wifi between errands! Two staff kept a steady stream of food and espresso customers moving. My items were simple and fresh and ready in 90 seconds!
Sweet community neighborhood coffee shop and coffee roasters. Love that it’s walking distance from our home. Friendly staff, great coffee options and baked goods.

Only coffee shop opened on New Year's day morning. We over whelmed barista with three bagel and three coffee order. Thank you for your gracious service. Quality was top and bagel with lox and cucumber was really great. Good coffee as well.
We love Lulu Carpenters! What a sweetheart making coffees as well
Love this local spot! The staff are great, great food options, fair prices, and very chill vibe
I'll come here every time I visit SC, I loved that they had agave and honey for sweeteners and everyone was friendly. the bagels looked good but I'd already eaten. Next time Ill come hungry. They had some creative menu options but I stuck with good old filtered coffee and was happy.
Most amazing latte. Wish I lived closer, this would easily be my go to coffee shop
The west side LuLu’s now roasts their own beans almost daily. I’ve tried espresso at every coffee shop in town and this location wins freshest and most intricate tasting coffee in Santa Cruz. Always great service and good vibes.
Just came in for the first time since Lulus took over this location. I was very impressed with the diligence of the server who was working the cafe on his own. I have very picky requests and he covered them all perfectly and with a smile. I will be back!
This coffee shop has 5 star service 👌 Marcos goes above and beyond with his communication skills!! I'm exploring the menu, Today I tried the Carmel macchiato and it was delicious 😋. I definitely will recommend

Great coffee shop! Drove in from out of town and they were the first place I saw on the map. Great place! Highly recommend. Also, they open early which is what I needed.

If only they would hire more folks. I love the coffe, food, and vibe. Every time I come here in the morning, they seem short staffed. One person behind the counter taking the the orders, handling the money, making the drinks, AND the food?!? — because their coworker has to do bean deliveries? — not a great excuse, in my opinion. I love you Lulu’s coffee, let’s do a little better? I want to keep coming.

I ordered a flat white and I got a 12 oz latte with no foam. Another time I asked what a "Royale" was and I was told it's the same as a latte. The coffee is pretty good but some of the baristas haven't been trained properly and just make a latte no matter what you order. 15 years ago I would have said LuLu's is the best cafe in Santa Cruz. Now I'd say go to Verve or Companion instead.
They need to update their website and hours to reflect when they are actually open. It sucks to be misdirected and walk 35 minutes for the place to be closed. I could go anywhere to buy good coffee in santa cruz. I will go back to places that don't say they are open early when they are not.

Looking forward to trying Lulu’s newer location. On google says opens every day at 6am. Got there like 7:10am and the sign on the door says open every day 7-2. But light off and still closed not close to opening and it’s after 7am. I would still like to try the food photos look good but today frustrating to drive there and it’s closed.
I hate leaving bad reviews, especially because the girl who helped me was new. However, this feedback will be important for learning. I came in this morning to get breakfast and a drink, and started by ordering a bagel sandwich with vegan cream cheese, but was informed there was no vegan cream cheese. I changed my order to a different sandwich with hummus. I specified I just couldn’t have cream cheese due to an allergy. I was only charged for a plain bagel and cream cheese, and the cashier stepped away before I could correct or make a drink order. I decided I would just take home what was given since a rush was forming. Once I arrived home, I noticed I was given a bagel with some kind of tomato herb cream cheese despite ordering hummus and saying I had a dairy allergy. I’ve been a barista for 2 years and understand how difficult the job can be when it’s understaffed and busy, however this was extremely disappointing and makes me not want to return to this location. Edit: After discovering my issue with my order, I returned to the coffee shop to explain what happened. The staff was extremely apologetic, and went above and beyond to perform service recovery. Thank you both!!! Management- expecting 1 experienced employee and one trainee to man the operation during a busy weekend is ridiculous! I feel so awful that they were understaffed and this mistake would not have happened if there was an employee stationed as a barista, one preparing food, and one taking orders. Please support your staff so something like this doesn’t happen again!

June 2024 - perhaps they changed hours. Not open on Saturday 1040am. March 2024 - Delicious but consistently sold out by 1 and closes a bit early on weekends
Asked for a well toasted bagel, and I got charcoal instead. How can someone see this and serve it to a customer! I tried to eat the bagel, but the burnt taste was too strong.
I’m actually aghast at the experience I just had here. I asked for a double espresso over ice. There was a barista with a friendly demeanor who was about to take my order/ring me out when the man rudely cut her off to ring me up for $6. Six dollars for a double espresso?? I asked if this was correct and he responded with “yeah I charge people for a latte because that’s what they usually make it into” what the actual?? The menu says a latte is $5.75 and that an americano is $4.50, which is the only drink you could classify as what I ordered. But you’re charging me $6?? He then proceeded to hand me what looked more like a single shot. I clarified again, is this a double? And he responds with “yeah it’s 2 oz of espresso” Highly do not recommend. The espresso also does not taste good. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in a while. I also feel bad for the girl working as he was speaking to her condescendingly when I walked in. Disgusting.

The owner of this place is a sick individual. He screamed and yelled at my kids for bringing in Jamba Juice to his tired coffee shop. The audacity that this man has is unbelievable. We really appreciate local Santa Cruz community to not support businesses with owners that act this way in our community. Enough is enough, boycott this lame, business, and owner until he’s forced to sell it to a local that actually love Santa Cruz
