I love this place a lot! So inspiring, inviting, and homey! Im just so amazed by the creativity that went into everything this little escape in downtown Santa cruz! Amazing! Say less, just go! Your staff is also amazing! They found my wallet! Tell the nice lady who made my smoothie and found my wallet thank you so much! I forgot her name but she was lovely and is studying fire safety in school. She rocks! Give her a raise!

Looking for an exceptional experience that is far different from the norm? This is a must place to checkout! The environment is beyond unique, relaxing, and fun... and the vibe is mysterious and comfortable. The menu is a bit confusing the 1st time around, but the staff was helpful to explain. At first, the staff seemed stand-off like, and I wasn't sure how long to wait and where to get service, but once I did, they were very attentive and knowledgeable. The drinks were tough to choose from with such a wide and odd variety, but the one I got was off the charts! Enjoying the delectable delight in a glass while swinging in the hammock chair was exotic and heavenly like. I look forward to returning and trying more concoctions from their potion menu.

Is it pricy? Yes. But is it worth it? 1000%. This place uses all organic, real ingredients, provides an amazing sacred environment, and puts thought into every bowl, drink, and tea they create. It’s a treat worth treating yourself to.

For those of us looking for fun new coffee shops, this is a must-go place in downtown Santa Cruz. Incredibly atmospheric and fun to hang out at, relaxing in their very unique hammock seating. Every corner has some mystical feel to it, always fun to find something new and intriguing on each visit. Fascinating potions and elixirs to try.... In more way than one 😉

Great place to relax and have some nice drinks, I tried two drinks, one bro g the emperor’s elixir which was delicious. They had a wide selection of drinks and one could easily be confused on what to order but they had tarot card readings that would help you pick a drink that day. How fun! I took some help from the tarot cards and was not at all disappointed. The vibe was super cool with hammocks all around to chill.

Relaxing atmosphere with amazing seating areas. Everyone is so friendly here and welcoming, ask for suggestions! Their music gives nice vibes and better in the afternoon when the moody colored lights came on. I got to relax and enjoy my tea without any interruptions. Definitely would come back here alone or even with friends!

I was tired from walking around the mountains and the downtown market and just wanted a place to hangout. I got the Love Potion to help recharge my viral energies and chilled in a hammock before the 17 was taking me back to San Jose. The vibe was great and it was nice to literally hang there with my feet suspended. Outside there were dance lessons! Wonderful spot.

Roxa Hammock Cafe is an absolute treasure in Santa Cruz, CA, offering an enchanting blend of art, alchemy, and health-conscious organic cuisine. 🌿🌌 This cafe isn’t just a place to grab a meal; it’s an experience that tantalizes the senses and nourishes the body and soul. It’s fascinating to know that it’s the first hammock cafe in the US, making it an exciting destination for families, friends, and couples alike. We embarked on a culinary journey, exploring their unique and health-focused menu. First, we sampled the herbal elixirs and tonics, each crafted with precision and care. Piper’s Calling, with its blend of Pc chuchuhuasi, piper methysticum, pine pollen, and piperine, was a revelation of flavors and medicinal benefits. Wanderlust, featuring fermented kanna, wild dagga, pine pollen, piper methysticum, and stevia, was like sipping a mystic potion, with its intriguing combination of ingredients. For coffee aficionados, the Mud coffee was a must-try. It’s the kind of coffee that warms the soul, and knowing it’s free from refined sugar and canola oil only added to the pleasure. The Acai bowl was a delightful treat, brimming with natural sweetness and freshness. Knowing that all ingredients are carefully selected and devoid of gluten made it even more enjoyable. The atmosphere here is a work of art in itself, with a floor infused with black tourmaline, creating an ambiance of tranquility and positivity. The window overlooking Abbot Square is a charming touch, connecting you to the vibrant energy of Santa Cruz. Upstairs on the second floor mezzanine, we found an elixir bar apothecary with siphon brew, adding to the mystical aura of the place. Roxa Hammock Cafe is a testament to the idea that food can be both delicious and nurturing. It’s a place where art, health, and culinary innovation harmoniously coexist. We left with our spirits lifted and our bodies rejuvenated, eager to return and explore more of their offerings. 🌟☕🌿

This place is amazing! Hammock seating with a little room to lightly rock, rooms with semi private seating, perfected lighting, beautiful artwork, delicious elixir! I cant say enough good things about this place! Owner/staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Ambient music! A must visit for Santa Cruz!

A great place to relax and quench your thirst. I ordered the Druid's Council which tasted earthy, minty, and refreshing. The batista who attended me was very informative of all the drinks, she was attentive and kind as well. There are hammocks throughout the cafe to relax in. I love the alchemy and witchy vibes I get from being inside.

Impeccable ambiance. Every element of the bar was clearly so intentional. The witches brewing the potions were very knowledgeable and happy to share about the magical properties of all the plants in your selected potion. Truly a 10/10 witch bar experience.

This place is a unique tea, coffee, smoothie, elixir place. I haven’t ever seen anything similar. The Mana Palmer tea was fresh and good. Spirit of Mentha is good for headaches. Hammocks looked cozy.

Ambience is very nice. I dint like the taste cause it was weird muddy-ish taste. We tried latte, dirty chai and mexican mocha.

Finally got to experience the vibes here at Roxa Hammock Cafe and I'm pretty impressed especially being situated in Downtown Santa Cruz! Staff were friendly and helped me pick out a latte to enjoy while chilling in the hammock. My drink was around $9 which seems high but is almost expected given the rampant inflation we're seeing now. The hammocks themselves were fun to try out. There are a few hanging downstairs and more "private" ones on the second floor. There were a mix of people inside chillin and chatting, to some even sleeping in them. I suppose as long as you buy a drink, you'll have access to the hammocks. Kids were also free to roam around and some ended up playing hide and seek around our area. Just a heads up in case you see any young kids coming in that they are going to want to look around and explore.

This plae is so fun! I came after wandering around downtown Santa Cruz and found it to be a relaxing stop. Good: Unique acai bowls and coffee flavors - I enjoyed the Dandelion Cappuccino and the Almond Butter acai bowl flavor - there was a ton of acai and the medium size was enough to feed two. They also have board games here - we played Incoherent which was quite fun - I could see myself spending more time in here if I had time. The staff were extremely nice too. Bad: The hammocks aren't as comfortable as you think - it's actually more comfortable to sit in the normal sofa seats.

The food was fantastic, but the service was extremely disappointing. We waited nearly an hour for our order, and we overheard staff complaining about customers who asked about their food.

Pretty good drinks, but this place gives me the ick. Really worth pointing out that they have a drink that contains betel nut, an addictive and carcinogenic simulant that's considered a greater public health risk than tobacco in many parts of the world. And that's just one thing I know about, god knows what else they're putting in their drinks here. There are a lot of harmful botanical drugs that are unregulated in the US for one reason or another (kratom, for example, and I wouldn't be surprised if something here has that in it) and whoever's running this place doesn't seem to have any concern for what exactly they're selling. Honestly I'm sure that's a selling point for most of the customers, but I'm just putting this information out there for the more discerning. Personally, I'm not big on the crystal shop vibe of this place and the unfounded health claims they tout for almost their entire menu. I do, however, genuinely think their stuff taste pretty good, though it can be overpriced. Just make sure you understand what's in it.

Love the vibes. Drinks are okay but kinda overpriced. Same goes for açaí bowls they’re not bad but half the time the açaí is still half frozen, and they cost too much for what you get.

Been going to Roxa for years with my family. The experience has always been amazing but in September I had a horrible interaction with two of the females working there. This was so disappointing. The stranger next to me was upset as well. I stop taking my family there since. I hope the customer service improves soon.

Have been wanting to try this spot for so long! Unfortunately I was really disappointed. Incredibly expensive, rude staff, and honestly just didn’t taste very good. Really sad because it’s such a cute spot but I won’t be returning.
