T's Thai Restaurant Santa Monica Reviews
T's thai is a cozy cute little place in Santa Monica. Food is fresh, tasty, and good portions. Love their lunch specials, shrimp pad thai , cashew nut chicken, wonton soup is always so delicious and my go to.
I have had delivery from T's Thai twice now and ordered the pad see ew, green curry and boiled rice. They have a special on GrubHub when you spend $20 or more you get a free thai iced tea (which is my fav!). The food always comes earlier than expected which is always nice with delivery, the food is hot and fresh - and super tasty! I would definitely recommend!
I absolutely love coming here! I work around the corner and ordered their Seafood (Red) curry one day on a whim. Now I order it at least once a week! I've tried many seafood curries around LA to find my favorite one, but T's Thai has the best one. Their portions are huge and generous with customizable spice levels. Their shop is a small quaint restaurant downtown Santa Monica and if you choose to dine in, service is quick and good! I highly recommend this place!
Cute, small restaurant in Santa Monica! Food was delicious and made in a timely manner. Very little wait time with an extensive menu and lots of options. Spice levels are all medium. The woman who took our order and served us was very patient and accommodating! Definitely would go again.
Fantastic food, reasonable price too. Can’t wait to come back Updating 4 years later: STILL one of the best Thai restaurants in SoCal. We drove miles and miles to come back here every couple months. A special place. Give it a try if you haven’t already! Pepper Garlic beef and Chow Mein are musts.
TS Thai is a small little eatery in Santa Monica. Parking is on the street or in the huge lot right across the street. It is easy to miss so look for the red curtain. Inside is nothing special, but it is very clean and the service is so great, you are happy you walked in. This is a family run business that really got hit by Covid, so they can use more walk ins. It looks like they have a ton of delivery, but we were seated right away at a very nice clean table and waited on like Kings since there was not that many people actually inside. The owner is just wonderful and the food is outstanding. Try their garlic noodles and Pad Thai. Both are great. We also had a wonderful fried rice with chicken and beef and it was so good. They give you a lot of food, and we were able to take some home. The bathrooms are spotless. The prices are really fair. We love it. Give them a try.
Great restaurant for Santa Monica I’ve eaten here 10 times over the last 10 years. Their food isn’t too expensive given that everything in Santa Monica is outrageous. It’s hot and freshly cooked. They have lunch specials for about $14 highly recommend.
This a classic Mom & Pops Thai spot with full focus on great food. I ordered the Spicy Fried Rice. They do not hold back on the shrimp you get the big ones! I will return!
Plenty of vegan options on the menu! We enjoyed the vegetable fried rice (ask for no egg to make it vegan) and fresh rolls. Our to-go order was ready within 20min. Ocean Ave is a few blocks away, with a ton of grassy spots that make for a lovely picnic overlooking the beach.
Stop along the way to get something “light” and I was amazed by the price. Recommend the spicy pepper garlix plate. Just simple and good. Food came out in 5 mins. Continue on with your day. This place deserves more love. Will be back for more.
Pad Thai was flavorful and spicy. Highly recommend checking it out!
I’ve been coming here for the last five years and think it’s the best Thai in LA (at least on the west side). The pineapple curry is amazing!

Quiet and cute neighborhood place. Stopped in for a quick bite before heading to a concert across the street at the Santa Monica Bay Women's center. Had the spicy seafood talay and the fresh rolls. Standard Thai fare with friendly service. We would go back again for sure. Signs were posted that they are closed from 12/20/17 - 1/5/18.
T's is a solid option if you're craving Pad Thai and don't feel like: A.) Whipping it up yourself B.) Driving to Thai Town It's right next door to Santa Monica Playhouse, so it's a good spot to grab a bite before a show. It's not inexpensive for what it is and loses a star for that, because I don't think the quality and price are aligned. I often order the Pad See Ew (vegetarian) with extra vegetables (+$2) for takeaway, which became $14 and change. They're good with substitutions though and changed my regular noodles to cellophane noodles made from mung bean. I love their healthy Fresh Rolls with peanut sauce, which are vegan. Their front-of-house server Seth is extremely friendly, warm and helpful. A pretty good option for last minute delivery or takeout, but wouldn't recommend for seated dining.
Went here twice during my stay in Santa Monica, dine in and one take out. Good food, friendly people, good service! I had the pineapple rice and kung pao chicken and both were very good. Price might be a bit high for what it is but i found that with a lot of places
T's has a small, informal dinning room nestled between a church and Santa Monica playhouse. The food is what you expect from Thai - curries with coconut, pad Thai, and rice dishes. I particularly enjoy the pineapple curry and Pad Thai. The fresh rolls have a burst of mint and crispy greens and very much feels like the best kind of salad wrap. The servers are attentive and when they noticed I didn't care for a dish suggested by the server (Rad Nar - the gravy missed the mark for me), they returned with a discounted bill.
I ordered the yellow curry and its was good and basic but nothing special for the price which is a little on the steaper side but its understandable in a city like Santa Monica. Serivce was nice and friendly. Restaurant was clean and neat with a very casual decor.
A Cute, small restaurant in Santa Monica! The food was delicious and made promptly—very little wait time, with an extensive menu and many options. I ordered the chow mein, and my husband had the red curry. Both dishes were excellent. The restrooms are located outside of the restaurant. This place is unsuitable for groups as it's small and intimate. Plenty of options for Vegetarians and Vegans. Great service.
Lovely home-town small Thai place. Immediate seating, good selection of dishes, rapid service. Food was hot and delicious. Music was, mercifully, not loud--bonus points.
The cream cheese wontons are some of the best I've ever had, with large portion size. The yellow curry was watery like other reviews mention, but very flavorful. Easy takeout experience. Update: Pad thai is not good. Tasted like it has 10 grams of sodium.
I really don't understand these negative reviews -- T's is a hidden gem. There are so many Thai restaurants, and so many good one's, and T's is no exception. Plus it's not everyday you stumble on a Thai place with unique offerings. The garlic chicken one reviewer gripes about it delicious, and uncommon among Santa Monica's other Thai dives. The massaman curry is another treat you can't find just anywhere. Good food, reasonable prices and friendly service. What's not to like?
3.5 on taste alone but bumped up to 4 because I appreciate the convenience and decent priced availability T's Thai offers. As alluded to above, I didn't think the food was rave worthy (not to say that it was bad though). I ordered my usuals - pad Thai, pad see ew, and (red) curry. All tasted pretty good and better to have in the area than not in my opinion. I only did delivery, so cannot speak for the service or the ambiance.
T's Thai is a cozy cute little place in Santa Monica. Food is fresh, tasty, and spicy if you want it to be. The variety of Curries are delicious! My only complaint is the curry can be a bit watery even though full of flavor. Tried the Penang, the Red curry and the wonton soup.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) T’s Thai Restaurant in Santa Monica offers solid, good-quality Thai food at a decently affordable price point, with room for a few refinements. The food is good overall, though it could benefit from a touch more seasoning to really bring the flavors forward. In particular, the proteins in the fried rice dishes could be much better seared—currently they come across as more boiled than fried, which leaves them a bit bland and lacking depth. The atmosphere is fairly basic. The space functions well as a takeout-focused restaurant with decent seating, but it feels a bit dated and could use some TLC and brightening. Not offensive by any means, just a little tired. Service was neutral. The hosts were not rude, but the interaction lacked the warmth and hospitality typically associated with Thai restaurants, which made the environment feel somewhat cold. Overall, good food at a fair price, but a few improvements in flavor, protein preparation, and ambiance would easily elevate this spot to a 5/5.

Good food and fast service at no-frills restaurant. I gave 3 stars (instead of higher) as the handwritten bill given had some figures distorted to disguise the extra 4 or 5 dollars that was tacked onto the bill that was different to the price set in the menu in the hopes that I wouldn't notice. It was only about $5 extra so I let it slide.
Ordered Pad Se ew. It was made with American broccoli, which is not good or authentic. The flavor was just too fishy and not what I'm used to. The picture in the menu was authentic, though so I was expecting it. The attitudes of the ladies were very bad after I complained. Someone else ordered Curry and it was really good. Will probably still never go back.
The food was good, but it feels Americanized more than authentically Thai. Prices are reasonable and the staff was friendly. We were not in a rush, but the guy next to us ordered, ate, and left in under 15 minutes! Quick service.
The food was OK and the place was reasonably clean. I thought their Pad thai was missing quiet a few ingredients! What I liked about it was they give you 10% off if you pay cash.
Food is fine. We ordered the chicken pad Thai. Chicken isn’t seasoned and the noodles are very greasy, as mentioned below. It’s a very basic dining experience, no frills, etc. I thought people were exaggerating after reading the prior reviews, but they’re not. Lol.
The food was decent, but the service could have been friendlier. The woman who served us was very serious. The place is small but clean.

Really disappointing. The fried rice was basically flavorless, the veggie dumplings were soggy and may or may not have contained meat (very hard to tell what those gray lumps were), and the pad see ew was the worst I've had by a mile. The sauce managed to be too sweet and too salty at the same time. At least they were quick, but wish we'd ordered from elsewhere.
I hate to give a negative review but my tofu pad Thai with extra vegetables was just not good. It had a sour taste and as you can see from the picture, the upcharge for extra veggies resulted in just two broccoli spears. I cannot recommend this place and don’t intend on returning.
This is not thai food, more to chinese food. I never taste thai food like this before. Unfriendly staff, and also i am not sure with the hygiene. There is rice drop in my water cup.
I ordered pad thai with chicken and shrimp for a total of $17 (with tip). Although the size of the shrimp was good, the the noodles were incredibly oily and too sweet. I’ve had better pad thai elsewhere.

Food is more Laos than Thai. Pad Thai has no tofu and no scallions. Very few sprouts. Literally only peanuts meat and noodles. I would not eat here again. No Beer or Sake.
Stay away from this place. The food is horrible. I ordered the Panang Curry and it was disgusting. They should be ashamed to call it curry. It was more like soup. Very watery and barely any flavor. Was the worst Panang Curry I have ever tasted. It doesn't end there either. I also ordered the Crispy Orange chicken and it was just as nasty. It was soggy and looked like microwave orange chicken. Just horrible food. They did manage to get the Won Ton soup right. That's about the only thing this place could offer that was half-way decent. Overall, they did earn 1 star for serving ok Won Ton soup and friendly service but if you want good Thai food I would definitely go elsewhere. You have been warned.
Got the worst food poisoning from thai food by far from this restaurant. Ordered the tom yum and had it replaced with pad ke mow. The tom yum tasted repulsive and did not sit right. When the pad ke mow arrived the noodles were over cooked and loaded with chili flakes that made this dish unbearably spicy. My boyfriend thought his panang curry wasn't the best either. Both of us ended up sick the next day from this place . This restaurant might be cheap but if you value your bodies health I wouldn't recommend going here.
I don’t normally write reviews but.. I showed up at 11 and they said it was takeout only for the next hour.. I waited in my car for dine in. I then ordered a Tom Ka Kai soup.. and there was literally black mold on the lemongrass. Not just a little bit. It was literally rotting. Needless to say this was a negative experience. I hope I don’t get sick from the 1 sip of soup I took. (Which wasn’t spicy at all after I asked for maximum extra spicy)
I came here for lunch. The initial soup they serve is inedible. It’s just hot water with boild veggies. To be honest it was boiled salad bits. The food smells like a pet store. Like hamster bedding. Overall it’s an unpleasant odor and the lady who serves the customers looks upset to serve you. Overall cannot see myself spending any money here from now on. It’s mostly disappointing.
Don't waste your money, IT'S NOT WORTH IT. The food is HORRIBLE, the service is terrible and the worst thing is that it is very expensive!! the bathroom is literally leaving the restaurant on a door outside. The Pad Thai I ordered tasted like vomit with egg, it wasn't like the photo because it didn't come with a salad either. The food hurt my boyfriend. really save yourself a lot of money.
They are really racist they told my friend to get out cause he was wearing a durag to keep his hair in tact so never going here as a black person
Penang chicken curry was almost flavorless and the chicken was, well I'm not sure what it was. Flavorless and unpleasant texture. The fresh spring rolls were 7/10. I rate 1 if I won't go back, and 5 if I would.
I ordered to go multiple plates. We got 2 curries a yellow and red. Both of them tasted just like sewage water. It was not consumable. I called to ask them if they can redo all they said was if we redo it we will do it the same way and hang up on me. The next day we got food poisoning. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! There are plenty of other Thai restaurants.
Stopped for a quick lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It’s really hard to mess up a Thai green. The grocery bought paste is probably a good standard to start with. Drop down a hundred stories and hit this place. They managed to desecrate the graves of whoever founded the curry. Super watery and ZERO flavor. I tried sending it back or asking the lady to add more paste or coconut milk to it. She was super mean and said straight up no. I barely even finished a spoon of it. Service:0 Lady would ask me to come to the counter when I needed something. Atmosphere: 2 being the only ones in the stores at 1 o clock on a Sunday afternoon says a lot about the place. The two stars are for the nice Westwood area. Food: 0 Can’t say anymore about it. Absolute TRASH.
Food here is awful. 😥 Got the tom ka gai (coconut mushroom soup with chicken). But I was served what was basics hot lemonade with some (dairy?) cream. Definitely there was no coconut flavor. The mushrooms in the soup were unbelievably from a jar. Literally. I suspect that's what made it so sour. Chicken pieces were overcooked and tough. Extremely unpleasant food.
Food is terrible & flavorless. Orange chicken tasted like rotten lemon and the beef (from beef & broccoli) tasted like cardboard. Eat somewhere else or cook at home.

Probably the worst Thai food I've had in my my life. I'd say the dishes barely represent the names they're given. The Pad Thai contained the bare minimum ingredients. What I received was rice noodles and chicken strips covered in an incredibly oily peanut sauce. That was literally it. No spice or seasoning at all. As bland as it could be. Felt a bit sick eating it.
Ordered Mongolian beef, didn't look or taste like Mongolian beef...it was more like beef with gravy and canned mushrooms..ordered orange chicken...tasted like frozen orange chicken, didn't look like it was orange chicken...I've had better orange chicken, frozen and freshly cook...the brown rice was good that's about it...will not be ordering from there again...one and done as they say hahah...didn't dine in, did take out
