Dierk's Parkside Cafe Santa Rosa Reviews
Duck confit fell right off the bone it was so perfect. Smoked salmon breakfast was also excellent.
This place is a gem. Best hash browns I’ve ever had! The eggs in the omelette were thin and silky, just absolutely perfect. The staff were very friendly and the service was fast. Definitely recommend!
Just amazing food. Busy wait staff but took the time to help us decide, also came back to check. Phenomenal hollandaise ( the owner is an award winning chef and very hands on. My favorite was the fluffy perfect hash browns with lemony light hollandaise So good!
Just moved to the SOFA/Burbank Gardens area...What an amazing neighborhood and wonderful food options close by! Dierks is on Santa Rosa Blvd. Right across from Julliard Park... Extremely friendly and courteous service! Wonderful food... there's an outdoor dining patio, covered facing the street... My 1st time in i just wanted a small decaf coffee...I had no cash ( coffee was only $2 )...The owner just gave me the coffee! I did go back a few days later to thank the owner and pay for the drink...Kindness... Loving Santa Rosa Ca 😍
We came here for breakfast on a weekday and they were moderately busy, mostly all locals who clearly eat there regularly. I say that because when people walked in, the server immediately brought coffee to their table and made conversation that indicated they were regulars… this is telling about a place, if the locals eat there on a regular basis, there’s probably something good about the place. In this case, they offered so many great/appetizing items on the menu that it was tough to choose what to eat. I asked the server which was best from a few items that looked appeitizng to me and she told me to go with the chicken biscuit… this was a great piece of advise, as that was a very tasty breakfast entrée! The hash browns that came with it were incredible too! The gravy on top of the biscuit was excellent… batter on the chicken was perfect too! My wife got the veggie bowl and she absolutely loved it. It definitely looked really good and was loaded with a nice assortment of veggies! Overall – Great breakfast was had here… Stop in and try it for yourself!
Found this little gem and I wish I had found it sooner! Staff is super friendly and the food is out of this world! This will be my new go to for friends and parties after church for Sunday brunch! If you haven't visited yet, you absolutely should! The wait is a bit long (but for a reason! ((Everyone wants to go)) And worth it!
Dierk's Parkside Cafe is the spot for a great breakfast. Everything had good flavor. Their prices are very reasonable. They make cinnamon rolls in the morning (not sure if they make it every morning). Very friendly staff. Even the cooks said hello. I love that. I can't wait to go back.
Walking into Dierk’s felt like you found the best breakfast spot where all the locals go in Santa Rosa. The atmosphere is friendly with the cooks being visible in the restaurant and the servers coming and going and enjoying their mornings. The pull apart was well described as an appetizer for breakfast and didn’t disappoint. The country benedict was a nice twist on an eggs Benedict but without the poached egg. I might have asked for crispy bacon had I known but the dish was still incredibly tasty especially with perfectly cooked golden hash browns. Food came out quickly and all service was friendly and prompt. Parking is a bit of a challenge since the residential streets are narrow if you can’t grab a spot at the front.
Ermahgerd I am pretty sure we’ve found our breakfast/brunch spot in Santa Rosa! The Peet’s coffee was strong and tasty without being overbearing. We split the Gramma’s dough to start - it was simple, soft and chewy and just plain delicious. My wife got the Huevos Rancheros and wasn’t enthused, though it was an ample portion. The tortilla shells were drastically over cooked in spots, making it hard to eat. The flavor was good but not as great as my meal! I got the Country Benedict and fell head over heels in love! The hash browns were tender and tasty, and the over-medium eggs were done exactly right! The drippy perfection was just too much for me! 🤣 The bacon, mushrooms, spinach and sourdough bread underneath were absolutely perfect partners for the fantastic hollandaise sauce. I ate every single morsel of my meal … already dreaming of going back!
Excellent breakfast. We've been here twice. Both times, we were not disappointed. Walked away with belly full of deliciousness. We ordered 2 omelets, corned beef hash and pull-a-parts. They were all delicious. The hash brown had a crunchy crust, the eggs weren't overcooked, and the pull-a-parts were sweet with lots of cinnamon. The wait staff was friendly. It's a bit of a wait to get a table but it is worth the wait.
All and all it was an overall pleasant experience. We have a dog and there patio accomadated him. The food was good. We both got breakfast. The cafe serves breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was good I had biscuits and gravy and the other party had what should be called chicken and waffles (comes under a diffrent name). It was cooked to perfection, hash browns were crisp and not overbearing done. The eggs came exactly as ordered. The plates were filling. Service was good too. Friendly staff who check on us frequently. Atmosphere was relaxed and casual.
Skip the breakfast burrito with the canned tomato "homemade salsa", the cold raw flour tortilla and black beans fresh from the can. Kids' pancakes were nice but having no blueberry pancake option was a disappointment for a breakfast place. Service was pleasant and it was nice to enjoy the patio, although the road noise outside is a bit much and inside was loud. Overall I'd go elsewhere next time.
We've eaten here many times over the years and for the most part, the food is good. Has always been more expensive than others in the area. The quality has been declining and prices have risen (everyone has raised their prices). Today's experience sealed our decision on not returning. $85.00 for 3 people to have breakfast. They were out of multiple items, sour dough bread being one of them. The bacon was as thin as Denny's Restaurant would be. The chicken fried steak was small flat patties that appeared and tasted like low quality frozen ones. The gravy was heavily chicken flavored, greasy and lumpy. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, though so that's a plus.
I have to say the food was not good at all. The chicken fried steak tasted like one of those frozen ones and the fried chicken Benedict it was just a white meat chicken patty that tasted like it was frozen and the hash browns were more like mashed potatoes. They need to improve greatly.
