We sat at the bar in Jackson's for pre-dinner drinks prior to meeting relatives for dinner at a different restaurant. I had no expectations. I simply needed a cocktail. It appeared all the bartenders and servers were attractive young women clad in tight black outfits, and I was fearful of service too taken with themselves to care. Was I wrong. They were all charming, professional, and anticipated our needs. My cocktails using booze from a local distillery were strong, served in an adult glass and helped my mood immeasurably. My wife's glass of Chardonnay was an overly healthy pour, and soon we were both smiling ear to ear. Coming from the Midwest, I never expected a bar and grill in Sonoma County, California to be this down to earth and friendly. Patrons engaged us in conversation and I was sad to leave for the other restaurant.

My spouse and I ate at Jackson's bar and oven as we were passing through town. The service was top notch, everyone was friendly and attentive! The food was amazing!!! We had a couple of appetizers and shared a woodfire pizza and it was all delicious! I had the mocktail hide and seek I think it was called and it's the best mocktail I've had! 100% would go back again, best meal we've had in a long time!

We had a group of 12 and sat upstairs where they have seating for larger groups. Everything went really smoothly as it is hard to get appetizers, orders, drinks, and dinner up to this area of restaurant....but they did a great job. Everything was timely, food was delicious, and we had a great time in this little, very cool part of Santa Rosa.

Great food and service. Highly recommend restaurant and bar with reservations recommended. Awesome pizzas, great crust, which makes the pizza. Nice atmosphere and much bigger on the inside than what it looks like on the outside.

Had a great experience at Jackson’s Bar and Oven! The pizza was excellent — crispy crust, great flavor — and the wine selection was impressive. Cozy atmosphere and great service too.

We took our two grandkids there early on a Saturday evening. The staff was so accommodating! They quickly sat us at a table and even quicker brought two complimentary kid's appetizers. The boys were so hungry....did they know all hell might break lose at any moment? The appetizers saved the day. We quickly ordered meals for them. While their meals were being prepared, we took our time looking over the menu. Their food came out quickly, but we never saw our server again to place our food order. Fortunately, the kid's orders were HUGE and we ate a bit of theirs. When they brought the check, we ordered a burger to go. The burger was out quickly and everyone was still happy. (It's likely that after we placed the order for the kids, our sever thought that was all we were getting. No harm done.)

Everything about our experience was wonderful. Our server, Hope, was accommodating when we expressed our desire to move at a slower pace. The timing between Cocktails, Appetizer , dinner then dessert was perfectly paced. All of the staff were efficient and attentive without being intrusive. The team really do work well together. The food was amazing. Chicken piccata meatballs with crispy Polenta, hamburger with truffle fries, brick chicken, beignets and espresso martinis. EVERYTHING exceeded our culinary expectations. The service was phenomenal.

First time here...we had lunch, sharing the Heirloom tomato salad, Shishito peppers and chicken picatta meatballs with fried polenta. YUMMMMM! Everything was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and so delicious! And even though we were full, we couldn't resist the peaches and cream dessert of authentic cheesecake, peaches in syrup topped with cinnamon shivered almonds. What a lovely lunch! Nick, our waiter, was excellent, adorable and attentive. I wanted to take him to meet my single daughter....lol

My mom & I were exploring the old railroad square and stumbled upon this place doing so. I'm so happy we did! We came on a week day late afternoon/ early evening and there were some people, but not too crowded. We sat at the bar and had a drink & ordered a pizza. The bar tender was super nice & attentive. I got the Painted Lady drink which was good, not too sweet or strong. The wood fired pizza is amazing. I got the house made sausage one and it was incredible. The crust and toppings were just perfect! I would definitely come back here again when in the area!

While staying in downtown Santa Rosa, we came here one evening for drinks before having dinner elsewhere. The place was packed around 5:30PM, but we found a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender was helpful and attentive. I noticed they had a nice collection of spirits, including Chartreuse, which is somewhat difficult to find, especially as “regular” bars, as mostly craft cocktail places seem to have it. The drinks we had were very good. If we ever come back, I’d definitely try a pizza, as they have a brick oven.

Had a great experience at this spot! The beet salad was fresh and flavorful—definitely a highlight. Drinks were on point, and the mocktails were creative and fun (though one leaned a little sweet for my taste). The truffle fries? Absolutely addictive. Overall, a solid place for a chill night out with good food and good vibes. Would come back for sure!

I noticed several people going inside so I had to give it a try and glad I did. They have a legit pizza 🍕 oven and lots of seating options I went for turkey melt and it came with side salad , very nice touch. Service was outstanding and the food was just as good. Good place to grab a drink with friends , with top notch food as a bonus

My friend and I shared the lamb stuffed flatbread and truffle fries. The lamb was plated perfectly and so very delicious and satisfying as were the fries! I'm glad we shared it as the portions were quite large! Our server was a delight and answered our many questions about the menu without the slightest hint of bother!

Back to Jackson I go. Anytime I’m in Sonoma County this place is a definite must go. Make a reservation if you want a good seat otherwise depending on the time you go that maybe up for anything you can get. Highly recommended, the food is absolutely amazing and delicious. Plenty of seating. I had the steak. To complement my dinner I had wine, as noted in the photo . They have no problem substituting. Kimmy is an absolute spectacular server.

Amazing service starting with the host. Very friendly and was always on the move. It was an open kitchen, so I could see all the chefs hard at work. Once we made our way up the stairs, greeted by a kind server and on top of it. We knew what to order after reading the menu, and everything was timed perfectly. Never felt rushed eating. And the cherry on top of the sundae, the food is delicious!!! The beignets were definitely our favorite!

On our way back from Point Arena, we stopped at this place for lunch on a Sunday Afternoon. The place was moderately occupied, we were shown to our table almost immediately. The staff here is really nice with a smile always! We were waiting for the rest of us to join so they patiently handled our order. The cocktails here are a must try. We loved the truffle fries and the skillet garlic bread so much that we went for a second serving (must try). The food here will not disappoint you, every dish we ordered was amazing. Will definitely recommend this place. Can’t wait to go back.

Hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Santa Rosa. We live several hours away but made a point to stop by on our way to the coast, so this is a second visit for us. It's pricey but the food is absolutely delicious and the service was very good. That calamari salad is something I now dream about and crave (please keep that on the menu forever). Truffle fries are the bomb, fried to perfection with just enough truffle flavor and sprinkled with Parmesan. I never asked my husband for a bite of his jumbo shrimp tacos but he cleaned his plate and said it was very good! My cocktail (White Lightning) was delicious and strong, thank you bartender. Again, service is great, multiple people checked on us and were always kind. I highly recommend coming here! Already looking forward to another visit.

We were drawn to this restaurant based off location and mocktail options. I had the Eagle Eye Cherry mocktail, I highly recommend it for its tart, unique-fresh taste. I also had the lamb stuffed flat-bread with greek salad. I admit I was concerned about portion size until it arrived, I couldn't even finish it (pictured below). The lamb was seasoned well and paired well with the hummus. The wife had The Burger and described it as flavorful, with a perfect potato bun, and a THICC patty (misspelled on purpose). A couple of small complaints: while we praise them for their extensive beverage options including mocktails, they did not seem to have a ton of food options and the burger was "slightly dry." That being said it was a wonderful place with friendly staff and we both agreed we would happily come back. Give it a try.

The service is exceptional. The food .... Not so much. I even asked who ever invented half the dishes if the did alot of mushrooms because if you want to talk about bizarre, then you found your spot. The Oysters were small but very fresh, The Cauliflower was not bad, but not great. The pan garlic bread was good.. The roasted beet salad was beyond strange and the flavors did not pair well together in the bowl. If someone wants to think they are eating healthy then I can see why they would order it, but grapefruit, beets, orange slices and the feta based cream sauce is a bitter combination. I will try the pizza next time though as the table next to me looked great.

Well, my husband and I went here with some friends last night and were excited, as we’ve never been and it was a nice place. I will say the food was good but the service was not. It took so long to get a drink that I literally forgot I ordered it. I feel the space we were in was maybe secluded and not looked in on as much. Like a separate room from all the company. I feel our waitress couldn’t read the table when it was time for ordering, Togo boxes, or getting the check. We were there a long time just waiting on things. The atmosphere was popping which was a plus though!

They took my drink before I was done without saying anything, same with the food. We were too nice to say anything. But the food was good, garlic bread, truffle fries and the fried chicken with buffalo sauce on the side. The beignets were also good with sauces on the side. They overcharged us. On top of that gave us someone else’s receipt.

Servers here are very nice and did a great job. Good location. Interesting place. The lunch menu was a bit limited in size, and nothing very imaginative. Somewhat pricey items, and if you are only mildly hungry options are limited for something on the small side, looks difficult to spend less than ~$25 pp total here for food, tax, and tip with no drink. Our food was good but not great, e.g. the Cuban sandwich ($20) was mostly bread and a bit inferior to anything you’d get in Florida etc. My wife liked her burrata which was covered with honey and pistachios, to me was not really great burrata. Just okay for food in my own opinion. We did not try the drinks, the bar looked nice, maybe that’s the focal point here.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience The 1 star is for customer service. We came in on 2/21/26 around 4pm with a party of 13 and were immediately told by the host that we could not be accommodated together because she “only had one server.” However, while waiting, we clearly saw multiple servers working the floor. That explanation simply did not match what we observed. Instead of making any real effort to seat us together or offer a reasonable solution, we were forced to split up. Some of our group had to sit at the bar while others were placed at a separate table. It felt completely disorganized and honestly uncomfortable for a group that came to dine together. We understand that restaurants get busy and staffing can be challenging, but transparency and basic hospitality go a long way. This experience left us feeling dismissed and poorly accommodated. Very disappointing, especially for what should have been an enjoyable group outing.
