After attending a conference at Tamaya Hyatt Resort in Santa Ana Pueblo, went looking for a Christmas breakfast burrito. The Range Cafe was reviewed so highly had to check it out. Wish I had known about this place earlier in the week I would've come out once a day just to go through their menu. They have a fantastic spot that would be a great karaoke location hint hint wink wink because there is no karaoke in that area. We had to go all the way back to Albuquerque to make it happen...but I digress. Order the Christmas burrito and my friend ordered the blue corn chile relleno. We inhaled the food. I think my Christmas burrito could've had more kick: the red sauce was a little more tame than I'm used to. I'll ask for some jalapeños in the burrito itself. I did ask for some green chilies in there. And they graciously provided more on the side when I asked. The blue corn chile relleno was among the best I've ever tasted. Also ordered the pickle juice bloody Mary while my friend ordered a really good scotch ale. They had a fantastic bakery area we just didn't have the room for it. But I would go back there again if I could. Don't miss the amazing gift shop it goes through multiple rooms and has a great selection including some brown bottle liquor. Service was wonderful.
I was visiting from out of town, and my buddy brought me here. Big mistake! The food was so good, we ended up eating here three times in one week. The food was great, and the cheesecake was excellent. The service was also very good. Our server was very attentive, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Highly recommended!
This was a celebration of life luncheon. The food and service was great. They did a great job facilitate almost 100 guest. Any time we are in town, we eat here, no wrong choices. Unless you don't like chillies.
Overall my large party of 10 had a great experience here. We ordered a wide range of menu items and they were all delicious. They were able to accommodate our large party with ease through a reservation. My only qualm was with our appetizer. We ordered 2 orders of chips with cheese, salsa, and guacamole. The chips were freshly made and very tasty but there was not enough to consume the 15$ worth of dips per appetizer. Then it was difficult to get more chips. I still would rate the range a 4.5 overall experience.
I’m so glad to report that Range Cafe is back on top! While I noticed the food quality had slipped a bit in the past, the last few visits have completely turned things around. My family and I regularly order takeout, and I have to say the huevos rancheros are absolutely amazing right now. What really impressed me is that they’ve clearly been listening to customer feedback. The portions are spot-on, especially the Xmas chile, which is exactly what huevos rancheros should have. Not too little, not too much, just perfect. The potatoes and pintos are also perfectly portioned and delicious every time. It’s refreshing to see a restaurant that takes customer input seriously and makes genuine improvements. Range Cafe has earned back my full confidence, and I’m happy to recommend them again. Keep up the great work!
I'm an artist and I had no idea what I walked into when we came here for breakfast. While the family talked, I had to explore every inch of this restaurant! It's covered in art. From different artist and there's also a whole little shop up front. Unfortunately , I didn't take photos of the art. I totally totally should've because I fell in love with many pieces
I was visiting New Mexico and went to the Range Cafe twice in my short stay. Both experiences were nothing short of perfect. The food was the best ive ever had and my server (Elizabeth?) was one of the best servers ive ever had. Just an incredible place that I could not recommend more. And dont forget the deserts!
Friendly staff, fast service, delicious food. My group had the green chili chicken enchilada, which was the special, margarita, taco salad, berry salmon salad, onion rings with the house sauce, and a reuben sandwich. Desserts were also delicious. We tried the chocolate cake and pumpkin cheesecake.
This morning for my birthday breakfast gathering with friends, we came to The Range Cafe in Bernalillo. This place is great, always great service, wonderful atmosphere and wonderful food. The prices are very comparable to other similar restaurants though the food is better than the competition. This range location particularly is the best of all of the locations because the food and service are always consistently good and the environment is so cool, such a hometown ambiance. I had coffee to drink with breakfast today and our server refilled me no less than 6 times, very impressive, because I didnt have to ask once! If you know what new Mexican food is, this place is the more respectable New Mexican version of cracker barrel, or an upgraded version of weeks, though i also enjoy wecks. If you want yo gather with a few friends for breakfast and have great service, delicious food and in pleasant surroundings, The Range Cafe in Bernalillo is the place to come.
Our first time here and it’s very good . We enjoyed our breakfast, my husband got the special huevos Ranchero and I got the I got the biscuit and gravy deluxe. Very good! Can’t wait to try something else. Didn’t get to try some pie was too full to eat lol the gift shop was awesome to see.
This is a gem in Bernalillo. The facility is quite large and charming. The staff is friendly and professional. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. They have an amazing selection of baked goods. I will definitely return, when traveling to northern NM.
Hands down best breakfast in Central New Mexico! The huevos rancheros with adovada are outta this world. The best Chili Relanos around🌶️ Christmas of course!
The atmosphere and charm of the restaurant was unique. The menu is small with a little bit of anything for anyone. This is a frequent location for our friends who we came with. They love the turkey dish the most. The New Mexico Mexican entries are wonderful. My husband loved the chicken fried steak.
This is our first time in New Mexico and this restaurant did not disappoint. The hostess was friendly and waiter, Jason, was friendly, professional and provided great suggestions. The Prickly Pear margarita and Spinach Enchiladas were very good and fresh. Can't wait to visit again.
We stopped here on our trip from Mesa Verde to Santa Fe and were not disappointed. The food was great and we appreciated the vegetarian options. And, of course, we loved exploring all of the museum-like displays. Bernalillo, you're fortunate to have such a great dining spot!
Kayla, Kayla, Kayla! Frigging awesome service! I have had an excellent lunch here. I had a Green Chili Double Smash Burger and a slice of heaven(homemade carrot cake). Everything came out prompt and perfectly made. Kayla kept my ice tea topped off and I couldn't be happier.
This was such a cute place. I loved the atmosphere. The staff was super helpful with my handicapped dad. And the food was super flavorful. We were only passing through, but I would definitely go back.
A busy restaurant let's you know how good it is. We had to wait about 30 minutes for lunch, but glad we did. Friendly helpful staff. Unique decor, gift shop. Great place would go again.
Best brunch we’ve had in NM!! Every single item was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Highlights were the green chili turkey sausage, the blue corn and piñon hotcakes, the range fries (home fries), and the pecan roll (a giant cinnamon roll smothered in pecan pie filling/caramel). Jason was our server and I wish everyone was as kind and attentive as him. Speedy food and service, clean space, big and airy dining room, yay! We’ll definitely be back
This gem was recommended by a friend on my last roadtrip! So glad I stopped to savor the blue enchiladas with green rice and black beans made New Mexico style! I can still taste them! I munched delicious chips and salsa when I got back on the road. Oh that salsa! Also enjoyed their iced tea. I love New Mexican food.
Yummy and huge servings. We stopped in before a day of running errands and had a great breakfast. Had to get a to go box there was so much food. We also got a slice of Death by Lemon to go. Had it later and it was superb. The service was great, the staff is very friendly. We’ve eaten here several times, and are never disappointed.
