⸻ A fantastic restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere in a beautiful location. We enjoyed delicious food and an excellent Spanish wine from the Ribera del Duero. From the very beginning, the restaurant was lively, busy, and full of energy. There was a DJ, and as the evening went on, the music got louder and the crowd really started to come alive. At one point, everyone was waving their white napkins and got up to dance — it turned into a true celebration! This is definitely a place to have fun. If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic dinner, it might not be the right spot (at least not in the evening). It’s more of a vibrant dining experience — part restaurant, part party — but in the best possible way, with excellent food, friendly service, and interesting people. The location in the marina is quite exclusive and not the easiest to reach, but once you’re there, it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

My fav restaurant in the world!! Every time we go to Casa we go at least twice. The food is amazing! We’ve made it our goal to try all the plates in the menu and they never miss. We have tried the ceviche, tuna carpaccio, popcorn tiradito, ossobucco risotto, shibuya rice, mercer steak, churrasco, and more. The cheese wheel pasta is spectacular and comes with great presentation. The crispy rice tuna is to DIE FOR and so is the coconut affair (dessert). On to the service, the service is amazing and the waiters are always there if you need anything. The atmosphere is also very nice. If you can, ask for seating outside (reservation recommended) because they have an amazing infinity pool / ocean view. 10000/10 Will keep coming back everytime.

The experience of having dinner at SBG in la Romana is truly unique. Parking is far but they have courtesy transportation to the door of the restaurant or you can enjoy a lovely stroll as the restaurant is strategically at the end of the marina. The quality of food was outstanding. Each dish was prepared to perfection. Drinks were delicious. View was great. Ambiance depends on the area you are seating. Great experience!

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant! Food was delicious! I had the miso glazed Chilean sea bass and bluefin tuna tartar for my meal. Everything was prepared perfectly and was visually appealing to the eye. I dined outside in the evening right next to the water and it was a fabulous experience.

High end restaurant located in the marina of Casa de Campo. Food was excellent, service was top tier, and the ambience is what stole the show. We sat outside, they had a dj that played mellowed dance music. It was a great night. Prices were what you’d expect for a high end restaurant. Ribeye was properly prepared with the mashed yuca. The chocolate cookie dessert was A1. Definitely try the fried octopus.

SBG is a must when vacationing in the extremely beautiful resort of Casa De Campo, La Romana, Dominican Republic. Excellent, top quality service and incredible food selections. Bring $$$$ because this place has all the bells and whistles so not very cheap. A lot of wealthy folks dining and also many celebrities. Make early reservations and enjoy.

The ambiance at SBG (Sofia’s Bar & Grill) feels exclusive and upscale. Most patrons are wearing extravagant dresses and suits. The restaurant has a large infinity pool adjacent to where patrons are eating/drinking, which adds to the Caribbean feel. Decor is minimalist, yet timeless. Food looks like art and tastes amazing.

Excellent service, amazing view, and ambiance. The best option for a demanding person in Casa de Campo. Great selection of wines, unique plates, and a little bit of everything for a wonderful experience in the area.

Stellar service, wonderful food with a view of the ocean. Staff was very courteous, explained any questions we had and offered recommendations based on interest. Food was absolutely delicious! Osorio bucolic Risotto was my favorite! For the dessert, the bread pudding and coco cake were extremely tasty!

Came here with a big group of friends during our visit to Casa de Campo. The place is pretty spacious featuring both inside and outside seating, with the outside area being waterfront facing, which was nice. The restaurant was empty on the date that we visited. We were originally seated outside, however, due to the heat we Asked if we could seat inside instead and they were pretty accommodating to that request. Ordered food and most of it was pretty tasty, however, we had an unpleasant experience when we accidentally knocked over a soy sauce bottle and a dead fly came out of it that had been swimming around for who knows how long. Additionally, the server got some of our orders wrong implying that we had ordered something after we had confirmed multiple times what we wanted. Overall, it was okay but probably wouldn’t come back.

Beautiful setting, great service but extremely expensive, dinner for 2 cost around $400USD with two cocktails each. Espresso martinis are $30.00 each. Many items are as expensive or more as a restaurant in Miami. Even though is good, it’s overpriced, specially in local currency.

The SBG restaurant is located at the far end of the last lane of the marina. It is NOT part of the hotel’s “ all inclusive “ program and it is NOT open for lunch. We visited twice in 2020 and in 2024. Overall, the food and service were disappointing. Plenty of seafood options but no balance of fresh veggies or fruit. Management permits smoking in the dining room and we were adjacent to a large group of fishermen . So this was not good, even considering the open air of the pier.

This might have been the worst service and most disappointing food I've had in my life. Was left entirely unattended for 45+ minutes and literally pulled on the sleeve of a walter to get service. I was going to order more decided against after so much time had passed. The food was thick and gross. How can any human consume the entire goat cheese and truffle focaccia pizza? It's a shame because the location is nice. 👎

Arguably one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Hostess’ were rude and when we asked them how long they wouldn’t even acknowledge us. Supposed to dine at 9pm, weren’t sat until 11:05pm. When they did seat us, they sat 10 of us at one table and 3 of us at another, on a balcony with no one else there. Drinks did not come until 11:25pm and when they did, they were incorrect. They moved us to a table in the more lively part of the restaurant but at that point it was almost midnight. We had to carry our own food and drinks across the restaurant to the new table. Entrees came past midnight. Not worth it and wouldn’t come back.

Disappointing on every level. Nowhere near the caliber of Casa de Campo. It’s better to be eating from a food truck on the beach than dining at an establishment pretending to offer a refined experience. Inattentive and rude — will be the quickest and most expensive meal. Memorable for all the wrong reasons.

I had a very disappointing experience at SBG in La Romana. The service was outright rude and dismissive from the moment we arrived. Despite having a reservation, it was not honored, and we were left waiting with no explanation or apology. This place seems more like a club focused on pushing alcohol sales rather than a restaurant that cares about guests. The staff clearly caters mainly to locals and completely ignores or disrespects visitors who are not from the area. Overall, the service was some of the worst I've ever encountered. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful treatment or a genuine dining experience.

Incompetent hostesses. We waited 2 hours for our 9PM reservation and were not seated until 11PM. The seated a 9:30PM before our 9PM, because they arrived at 8:59PM and were entitled to the table since they arrived first. The service was an absolute joke. They ruined my friend’s bachelorette party and our entire night.

We had a res at 9 and were not seated until 9:45. The hostess and manager were incredibly rude and laughed at us when we asked when we would be seated.

If it was possible, I would give zero stars. Had a reservation at 9 pm, still here at 1041 waiting for my table. Honestly, the most inappropriate behavior and service I have ever experienced. Hosts 0/10, negative energy and not helpful at all. Rude and condescending.
