The Ordinary Pub Savannah Reviews
My first time at The Ordinary Pub and also my first time having bison. The bison seemed bland, having more emphasis on the fried breading and not spiced much at all. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were very delicious. My date had the fried green tomatoes sliders appetizer as her meal which was more that sufficient and said was very delicious. The service was continuously attentive and friendly, definitely worth a repeat visit. The atmosphere had a good crowd. The music was a bit loud where we were but that was because we were next to the speaker. Overall a very good experience and will try many other dishes here.
Pretty dope underground spot in Historic Downtown Savannah. They had a sign outside the entrance saying “$15 bottomless mimosas,” and that was the hook that pulled us in. The catch is that you have to order an entree in order to get the deal, so please be aware. The food was pretty good overall. We tried the Chicken & Waffle Gyro, with loaded grits, along with the Pork Belly Mac & Cheese and cornbread. All of it was delicious. The chicken was well seasoned, and the loaded grits with cheese, bacon bits, scallions, and the whipped marscapone was fire 🔥 The cornbread tasted sweet and homemade, which I loved, and they give you two pieces. The prices are moderately high, but expected for the area. Stop by if you’re around town, you wont be disappointed.
Great brunch spot! Our server was awesome. The food and drinks were amazing! We had a big party celebrating a birthday and everyone loved their food. I particularly enjoyed the Chorizo Brunch skillet. The pork belly sliders were phenomenal and everyone loved them. Two people got the Pub Club and they both said it was the best club they’d ever had. The steak, eggs and grits were also top notch!
We had a lot of fun at the ordinary pub and really enjoyed our dinner. We couldn’t get in at the chive so we called an audible and came to the Ordinary Pub instead. Everyone in our group was pleasantly surprised by their food and drinks. I would definitely eat here again. The mushroom pasta was unique and something different, we really liked it. The salmon Felix was really good, as well as the fried green tomatoes. The low key star of the show was the pork belly sliders though - the slider buns were soooo good!
What a cool place. So different from the ordinary. We had a super great server, Katie, and everyone there was nice. The mango jalapeño cider was yummy. Not strong tasting and kinda sweet, which I like. The Irish ale was stout tasting and good. The meatballs were good, but more sauce would be better. The savannah burger with loaded fries was great all around. The duck Tacos with the slaw really tasty. Would definitely recommend this place. So fun.
Make a reservation! We get to the ordinary Pub and there are people standing outside. I thought they were just smoking. I find out there's a line. Luckily, I did make a reservation and our table was ready in like 5 minutes. By the time I went to the restroom and came back we were being seated. The food was bomb I had fried green tomatoes with mozzarella pesto and the pub fries without bacon. I had this drink called why not apricot which has rum, grapefruit juice, and it comes with the cutest Garnish. The weight staff was it phenomenal and really sweet people great atmosphere!
This place was a vibe! As you walk down the stairs, the pub vibe hits you! We didn't wait long for our seats on the Sunday we visited. We were looking for a local spot to eat, and when we walked up, the bottomless mimosas sign roped us right in. We started our meal off with the loaded fries and we were nearly licking the bowl. The cheese sauce was phenomenal. As we enjoyed our mimosas we ordered from the delectable menu. I ordered a massive spinach and shrimp salad with feta, my sister ordered loaded hashbrowns, and my niece ordered one of the biggest club sandwiches I've ever seen. The food was delicious, the waiter was fantastic, and the vibes were great. There were Bachelorette parties, friends, and families enjoying meals at tables and the bar. Can't wait to go back!!
Got the recommendation off of tiktok and and im so glad we did! Make a reservation especially for brunch. it gets busy quickly. but it’s sooooo worth it. The bottomless mimosas is what we originally came for and the food was breathtaking. The service is impeccable. our server had so much energy and life to him. he was a pleasure to be around. The mimosas were mixed perfectly. not too much champagne. not too much juice. the food, was outstanding. the menu had so much variety, we got the steak and eggs, chicken and waffle gyros and the pork belly buns. everything was 100/10 perfect. the meats were cooked perfectly. tender and juicy. the flavors were all there. the donuts are a nice touch with the sauce of the pork buns. everything was delicious we will definitely be back!
In Savannah for a couple of days on business. Came here with my team for a laid back dinner, was perfect and the food was PHENOMENAL. Apps were some of the best I’ve ever had, fried green tomato capresse and pork belly donut sliders, NUTS! I had the Salmon Felix, so so good! Kate was our server, THE BEST♥️♥️ Totally recommend!!
Great brunch spot! Wonderful service, espresso martinis and food! I ordered the steak eggs and grits with Gouda cheese, and highly recommend it but they have a lot of great options on the menu to choose from. Vegetarian and vegan options as well.
The food was absolutely phenomenal, steak, eggs & grits were so full of flavor 100/10.Recommend getting medium, even if you do like your steak a little more well done. The cold brew is amazing, definitely the piece of heaven for coffee that I needed. And the mimosas (really all of the things) were so good! Cam is amazing and so knowledgeable! If you’re unsure, just GO! Cutest little underground place! (I rarely leave reviews, but this was so warranted and deserving ) great way to start our Sunday!
Wow. This place was unexpectedly amazing. I did let some other reviews hype me up and usually I get let down. But not tonight. The atmosphere is cozy and happy. The food was freaking amazing. I had the Fried Bison and my friend the Lobster, shrimp, and grits. The Brussel sprouts that came with my Bison was the fest I have ever had. The donut slider for starter…….. Wow, who thinks of these dishes. I don’t do too much sweet stuff for dinner but I tried it with the sauce our server recommended……. So stinking delicious. The vodka mule was very good as well. Our server was very helpful with suggestions and discussion on the menu. Never felt rushed or anything. Definitely going back. Worth every penny sent.
I'm so glad we found this place. We will stop every time we are in Savannah now. The food was absolutely delishish, waitstaff was beyond amazing and friendly, and they give you HUGE portions. We couldn't believe the size of it all! Husband got the Bison and I got the Chicken and Waffles Gyro! We got the fried green tomatoes caprese as an appetizer. He also got the house beer with his meal and he said it tasted crisp and refreshing for a beer. I had the riesling wine and it was just as good. HIGHLY recommend!
Great experience! Would definitely return. Quoted 1.5 hr wait for brunch but seated after 15 min. Our waitress Carly was fantastic. Bottomless mimosas were only $15 and the food was great!
We made a reservation here for brunch but once we got there it wasn't very busy so I'm not sure that is a must. There are several areas to eat but I highly recommend going to the further room with the bar. I didn't even realize it was there until we got up to leave and I saw it. It's a really cool room. There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try. I would definitely recommend The Ordinary Pub!
I love this pub! I’ve been there two times and I expect to visit more when I am living in Savannah. It has a great atmosphere and it’s always busy so plan ahead. Service has been impeccable. You will need your drivers license or some sort of photo ID identifying your age no matter how old you are to be served any alcoholic beverages!
Tried this place out after visiting their sister restaurant Broughton Common for brunch the previous day. We had a 10% off coupon from Broughton, which wasn't our main reason for stopping in. We just loved their menus. Fun plays on food (chicken and waffles gyro eaten gyro format as an example). The location is underground so it's a bit darker inside but is a great location right on Broughton. They offer bottomless mimosas which are hard to say no to when the cocktails on the menu run close to the same price. They even offer your last one in a to-go cup. My kind of place! Staff is friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun brunch spot!
We had an amazing experience at The Ordinary Pub! The menu had so many amazing choices we had a hard time choosing! We went with the grits and gumbo as well as the fried green tomato caprese - they were both AMAZING. The portions were great and the flavors for both were on point. Our server Allie and the rest of the team gave us amazing and prompt service. Can’t recommend this place more and we’d love to come back!
We had the Steak Christopher and Fish and Greens for dinner. The lemon pepper Mahi was the best fish we had throughout 5 days in Savannah/Hilton Head. Steak Christopher medium rare also was delicious but the fish was the real star of the show! Hostess and Server were very welcoming and appreciated our server’s attention to ask about any allergies or dietary restrictions. We were thankful to get a reservation so we didn’t have to wait to eat long at all!
Not a big street front but pretty big downstairs. Very nice venue, woodsy, a bit of a speakeasy feel. About 10 beers on tap, wine on tap (out of a bottle) and a lot of spirits; craft cocktails. About 12 seats at the bar. Great staff.
My fiancé and I visited about 2 years ago, and WE STILL TALK ABOUT THIS PLACE!!! The brunch menu items were FANTASTIC. We still remember what we ordered, it was THAT good... but man, oh man, that chicken and waffle gyro 💕😋 burned into my memory. I was also diggin' the "underground industrial" atmosphere in this restaurant... it gave me speakeasy vibes, very cool. If or when we come back to Savannah, this will be our first spot to hit up.
Pro #1: the pub is underground, so on a sweltering hot summer day, it feels fantastically cool to be in this place. Pro #2: their food is great, we had several burgers and salads, everyone was very satisfied. The doughnut and pork based appetizer was a curiosity that tasted surprisingly good. Pro #3: staff were super nice and attentive. Cons: NONE! Loved this place. Would come again!
So grateful a local recommended this place to me. Good vibes, friendly and helpful staff. So many good options on the menu. ***Update*** I returned to Savannah 4 years later and could not help but return to the Ordinary Pub. Last time I was there for dinner, this time I enjoyed brunch. The Bacon Bloody Mary was a delightful way to start the meal. Chimichurri Crab Cake Benedict was amazing. I really enjoyed the tarragon hollandaise. If I'm ever in Savannah, this is one place I will be sure to come back to.
Adorable little place. Our server Katie was delightful and sweet. The fried green tomato caprese was great (and leftovers were great for later back at the hotel. The lobster /shrimp roll tacos sounded odd, but the flavors worked well! Husband loved the duck confit tacos and Korean meatballs! We would definitely stop back in if I’m Savannah again!
Good food and drinks in a tucked away location downtown Savannah. Not much ordinary about the food here. I had the chicken and waffle gyro with the honey bourbon syrup and my wife had the shrimp tacos both where delicious. She also had the mule drink also good. Hers was made with tequila and ginger beer. I suggest you get the big ass mule.
I know my review will add little to the reputation of this already beloved spot, but I still felt the need to post. The food was excellent, some pretty unique options or just twists on classics, but all well done. I could taste the quality. I enjoyed the underground pub feel, and the staff were friendly. We sat at the bar and our bottomless mimosas rarely saw the bottom of the glass they were filled so quickly. Downside is there are only two single person restrooms. Otherwise a 10/10
A great spot for brunch! They were able to accommodate us quickly after there was an issue with our brunch reservation somewhere else. The cocktails were tasty, we enjoyed a few different ones. We all ordered individual meals and ended sharing because everything was so good!
I was blown away with the vibe of this place. It has an old time bar setting but don't let that fool you. Brunch was on point. The loaded tots is a definite must have. The Gouda sauce they put on was so good I would've been content just drinking that on its own. And the chicken and waffle gyro? Very unique, delicious and the chicken was not overly breaded which made it better. The grits that came with my meal we're probably some of the best I've had. Overall would recommend. I suggest getting there on the weekends when they open. By 11 am it starts to get really crowded.
Definitely the place to have brunch in Savannah. I may have to say it's one of the best locations. It's hidden but a great gem to eat! Wonderful service and the waitress that served us had great options on how to share! Yes, they do have bottomless mimosas here.
I’ve gone for brunch twice and both times I was very pleased. Their pork belly sliders are amazing as is the avocado toast with fried chicken. The chorizo skillet is decent. I didn’t care much for the banana fosters French toast or their bourbon maple syrup. I’m more of a traditionalist when it comes to breakfast staples like that. Their drinks are also well made. I recommend the spicy or pickle Bloody Mary’s. I’m a tough critic when it comes to a bloody, but they do a good job.
Such a great spot if you are wandering around Broughton Street and need to cool off with some drinks and comfort food. It's easy to walk right past since it's actually in the basement of the old Sear's building. They have an extensive bar with festive drinks. Go for one of the Bloody Mary's just so you can ooh and ahh at its toppings. There were 5 of us and we literally all had the same thing! The Brunch Salad with added chicken. We were hoping for grilled by fried chicken tenders was the only option If you are a big party it's probably smart to make reservations.
We came in so that we could get a few Happy Hour items to share. We went for the Fried Green Tomato Caprese, Loaded Pub Fries, Meatballs, and Olive & Cheese plate. It was all very tasty and we enjoyed it all. My personal favorite was the Fried Green Tomatoes. I could have eaten the whole thing myself! The few cocktails we got were hit or miss. The two martinis we ordered were good, but the seasonal one(the name escapes me now) tasted like how a candle smells. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a great time.
An eclectic menu of brunch and lunch items. Overall the food was good. We shared the banana foster’s french toast, it was definitely a shareable item for 3-4 people and worth the splurge. Slightly disappointed in the pulled pork biscuit. Biscuit was tasty, but maybe had 2-3 ounces of pulled pork. Fries were a little soggy. The side bbq sauce was sweet and was very good. The avocado toast with shrimp was a healthy and delicious option.
We had dinner at the Ordinary Pub. Years ago I had their brunch here which was quite good so I had some higher expectations for dinner. I, nor our party, were disappointed. We reserved a table for 5. It was last minute but Ordinary Pub had an early evening availability. I had the Meatloaf. It's one of those meals that brings me back to my childhood because it was a meal that could be made and last several days as leftovers. Not having it in a long time, I wanted to give it a try. I felt it was done very well. The flavoring was a nice mix. The meatloaf combined beef, lamb and Italian sausage with potatoes and a charred tomato gravy and pickled onions. My wife had the Salmon Felix and we had an appetizer of Pork Belly Donut Slides. These slides were fantastic. We had the Savannah Breeze to drink. Waiter was helpful and continually checked on us. I don't recommend sitting in the high tables in the bar area. The bench seats are uncomfortable and the pipes tend to drip a lot from condensation. Our waiter wiped it down but eventually the water came back. Give it a try and decide for yourself.
Pretty cool place in Savannah. The food was delicious. Drinks were on point. The reason for 4 stars is because the hostess was rude AF. Our server, who only works one day a week at this establishment, was absolutely fabulous. The loaded fries were really salty. Other than that, I would definitely go back.
Awesome atmosphere. The waitress got me what I needed but wasn't as accessible as I like in a server. I needed a few things and had to wait each time for her to show up in the room so I could wave her over and ask. The Pesto Cheeseburger was unique and delicious and huge. The fries were great. The beer was cold and tasty. I'd like to give it 4.5 stars but that's not an option.
This is a really cool place to have brunch, however good luck looking for parking. The hostess was not the friendliest but our server was great. It did take about an hour to get seated and about another hour to get our food. We were so close to walking across the street to the biscuit place. All of their brunch options sound so tasty. My BF had the donut sliders and those were to die for. The brunch burger was good. The meal portions are very big. Our server accommodated a nice birthday surprise for my BF. We want to go back, but when it’s not so busy.
Great food in a cool atmosphere in an old building. Service was fast, friendly and extremely helpful in navigating a menu with many great options. They have a great blend of traditional southern food and new flavors that go well creating some delicious dishes. Their beers on tap are a great mix of local craft offerings and pair well with the dishes. The biggest disappointment was that they had no dessert menu which I think they would have some excellent options. A great place to stop for dinner while in Savannah.
Great little pub tucked away in a basement. Immediately uopn being seated for dinner, the service was prompt and courteous. We ordered the Pork Belly Sliders as an appetizer and they were ridiculously good. We also had the Southern Fried Bison (too much breading) and the Short Ribs with Grits. Both dishes were good but the Short Ribs were far better. Had a couple of their IPAs which were good too. Overall it was good but not something to write home about. Maybe the Brunch is better?
Solid lunch or brunch spot! It's cozy, and comfortable, with a good range of food options. Bottomless mimosas for 10$ which you can't beat if you don't have work that day. The food was good, I felt like the drinks and atmosphere made it a great meal more so than the food. Nothing negative, and also nothing to highlight as above and beyond for the burger, pork sliders, or shrimp tacos we had. I'll be here again in the future.
To be fair we didn't have enough room for their specialty dishes so we ordered the tacos and the Savannah burger. Tacos were ordinary at best. The slaw was the best part of the dish. The burger had a great flavor but the bun was stale and crumbled into pieces. The fries were the best part of the dish. The margarita my wife had was as she described "the best she has ever had"
Awesome atmosphere. The service was average but alright, if not a little slow when it came time to get our checks and leave. The food was a big miss for us. Portion sizes are good but the crab cakes were flavorless - I’m from MD so I can be a bit picky but I’ve honestly had better crab cakes from Narobia’s Grits & Gravy, Belford’s…the list goes on. The fries were chunky and not to our liking either but everyone has different tastes. Good for a quick drink but not ideal for a meal.
My friend suggested this restaurant. I'm a Foodie so I'm always down to add another place to eat some good food. She ordered the Gumbo & Grits. She said she enjoyed it, but would rather style rice instead of grits. She also pointed out that the amounts of b seafood in the dish vs the price was very good. They did not skimp on the seafood. I ordered the Pork Belly Donut Slides with side of gouda cheese sauce and the Sweet Potato Short Ribs. I'm not a huge lover of fatty foods, but the sliders were fairly good. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. I was a bit peeved to realize that I was never given my side of cheese sauce that in paid for (I didn't realize it until I was looking through my receipts after I went back to my room 🙄). I'm not a coffee lover and the menu clearly states that the short ribs were cooked in a coffee red wine reduction. I've had coffee rubbed steaks before and like them so I thought I would be okay with it. And I love sweet potatoes. When my entree was brought out I wasn't pleased by the look, but I was optimistic. I didn't like it. I felt like my veggies were submerged in a pot of dark coffee. Plus for this dish to be billed as Sweet Potato Short Ribs, there weren't many sweet potatoes. There was more arugula than anything. Our server asks if everything was to our liking and instead of just eating what I really didn't enjoy, I told her I didn't like it. She asked if I'd like anything else. There really wasn't anything else on the menu that interested. I hate sending my food back. So, I asked her if I could swap out the sweet potatoes and arugula for some smashed potatoes and she happily obliged. This made the short ribs more enjoyable. If you are a coffee lover, then you'd love the meal. I didn't order a drink but there are a few that caught my eye. If I come back for a visits, then I'll definitely try a drink and the appetizers or a burger.
We visited TOP last Saturday for dinner while visiting Savannah for a bachelorette party. We didn't have any trouble finding this place. Major speakeasy feels -- enter from downtown to descend a staircase and enter this attractive and comfortable restaurant. The MOH made reservations for us in advance and I remember her being stressed and saying they split our table of 9 into two tables because they don't accommodate tables of more than 8, but it wound up not mattering because our 9th couldn't make it because she had a migraine. We were all able to be seated together, so that was nice. Our waitress was nice and working hard. She did seem a little confused/unfamiliar with the drink menu -- someone asked her what the seasonals were in one of the gin drinks and she said something along the lines of "I think it's just made with gin." Which...we knew, lol. But it was not a big deal. As other reviews have noted, they are very serious about carding here, so don't forget! I appreciate the extra caution. I'm not a huge alcohol person, so I tried to order a sweet tea to drink. They apparently don't serve that here, which seems wild to me given that we're in southern Georgia...but okay. Bummer. I just had water to drink. Almost everyone else had an alcoholic beverage of some sort. The best one was something that sounded like it would be spicy. I tried to look up the name of it but didn't see anything sounding familiar on the online menus, so idk. The running theme for almost everyone's drinks was that they were on the sweet side, especially the espresso martini. But overall everyone seemed happy enough. For appetizers, the table split the fried green tomato caprese and the olives and cheese. Both were okay. The breading on the FGT was kind of loose instead of crispy, which I'm guessing was due to how thickly cut the tomatoes were. I'm not a huge olive person so I didn't try those, but the bread served with the cheese and olives was delicious. We got a variety of plates for dinner and I didn't hear everyone's comments on everything, so I can't speak on everything we ordered, but here's what I remember: The person who ordered the grits and greens seemed to be the happiest. That's good, because she was the bride, lol. One of my friends who ordered the gumbo and grits remarked that she doesn't like tomato-based gumbo, which apparently that was...but there was no way to know based on the menu. She ate about half of it. The other person who got the gumbo and grits liked it more. Three of us got burgers, two bacon pesto and one Savannah. I was the one with the Savannah burger. Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan. All of us struggled mightily to eat it; these burgers are huge and even smushing them down, they're unmanageable to try to cram in your mouth. I wound up cutting mine with a knife and fork and doing the best I could. It was slightly spicy, so I'm glad it lived up to that. I could've used more pimento cheese, but I love that stuff. The bacon was cooked well. Unfortunately, the bun didn't hold up well to all the toppings/meat and disintegrated. And the patty itself was just...idk. Not for me. It tasted more like bougie meatloaf than a hamburger, which isn't bad but not really what I was hoping for. Idk if that's the duck butter talking, or what. I saw a couple of reviews say it's a blend of beef and pork, so maybe that's it? But you'd think that would be indicated on the menu if that was the case, so I truly don't know. Regardless, I'd order something different if I returned here. I will say the thick-cut fries were enjoyable. All in all, I wasn't as wowed by the food as I'd hoped I would be, but the experience overall was pleasant and efficient and the bride seemed happy, which is what matters most. Thanks for accommodating our party!
Kaitlin was great. Super attentive with great menu suggestions but not too intrusive where we could enjoy ourselves with few interruptions. We had appetizers before our meal. The food was OKAY. Definitely overpriced for what is was, but I'm pretty sure you're paying for the basement experience... not necessarily the food and drinks. The fries were very dry and not at all fresh. You have to have some kind of sauce to tolerate them but I could not even stomach the ones that came with my burger. However, the Bacon Pesto Burger was AMAZING! The Chorizo Seafood Stew was yummy but pretty oily which made it difficult to really enjoy the broth. He had 2 drinks, The Bacon Old Fashioned at $15 each and enjoyed them, but I had a $14 Pina Julep and I swear there was no alcohol AT ALL...very disappointing. Not a bad experience but I can check this place off my list and never have to go again!
Sneaky little place beneath the Savannah streets. The restaurant was clean, and pleasant, with painted exposed brick walls and nice dim lighting. I felt the food to be well overpriced for what we got. We started with drinks and fried lions mane app. Bacon Old Fashioned was way too heavy on the syrup. No other flavor for me than sweet. The lions mane mushroom was lost in the deep fried batter and teryaki(?) sauce. All you tasted was crunch and sweet. The only real plus is if you hated mushrooms. One would never know they were mushrooms if one wasn't told. The family all ordered burgers and we're very happy with the flavor, although the buns on some broke apart too easily, seeming not fresh. They weren't very big, and everyone easily finished. For me... no bangers and mash available, so I went with the fried bison. Fried bison with duck sauce, with sautéed Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Bison- thin, dry; heavy focus on super crispy breading that doesn't stay with the meat Brussel sprouts- I had to dig around with the fork to remember what it was... dark dark sauce and super sweet. It only "looked" like Brussel sprouts, but over powered by the very sweet sauce. Mashed potatoes- so dry. Not creamy by a mile. Broke apart like a snow cone. Service was a bit slow. One visit at a time. We got waters, then ordered drinks when we got the water. Didn't get a chance to order app until we got our drinks Didn't get a chance to order dinner until we got our app. 7 of us. As drinks and food were ready, 1-2 items came out at a time. Great building. The family enjoyed the meal. I was very underwhelmed by the service and food, and very overwhelmed by the prices.
A literal hole in the wall, the entry door takes you directly down a set of stairs into a modern industrial basement restaurant. The atmosphere is the shining star of this little pub! There were many drink options to choose from. A couple of us ordered the olive infused dirty martini and it was a miss. Another ordered a beer from the tap list. It was sold out, but our server replaced it with one that was quite different than was explained. The food was very hit and miss. The fried green tomato caprese was great! Chicken sliders also good! Dry and stale, the pork belly donut sliders fell flat. While I would give this little pub another go, I would not order the same food or drink.
I’m a historic buildings basement, you walk down a set of stairs and enter a cute restaurant. It’s crowded and a little difficult to hear but still cute. We had the pork donut sliders, they were amazing and the best part of our brunch. I had the steak grits and eggs. The sauce perfectly balanced the steak. The mimosa was nothing special but good. Beware of condensation from the ceiling/vent falling in your food. We noticed it and brought it to our servers attention, she informed us that it wasn’t a big deal and happens all the time. I think our experience would have been more enjoyable if we didn’t have to worry about dirty water falling in our food.
Restaurant was clean and servers were nice for the most part. We did have a few issues. We ordered a beer and the bartender gave us the wrong beer. When we mentioned it to the bartender she was very dismissive and argumentative and responded that she did give us the right beer and did not try to correct the problem. I had a question about the menu and she actually walked away while I was actively asking her a question. I ordered Macaroni and cheese and specifically said I didn't want anything in my macaroni and cheese, not macaroni and cheese with meat, mushrooms, or anything else in it. Just macaroni and cheese. While I got macaroni and cheese it was cooked unevenly (see photo) and then she charged us for the most expensive macaroni and cheese dish on the menu. Other items we ordered were the duck poutine. The gravy and duck were gray and the duck was very chewy. We only ate 2 bites out of it. The last item we got was the Pork sliders. They were good. However, the bad outweighed the good. Please look through the menu before you go, as it did not really go with the theme of being ordinary pub food.
Worst burger I’ve ever tasted. It tasted like someone took already cooked burger patties and then mushed them together and set it on top of stale angel food cake. Sorry not sorry. When you charge $25 for a burger you need to deliver. The Brussels were drenched in some weird syrup. The cheese on the pub fries was like a watered down flavorless paste of some sort. This place is constantly recommended on Facebook groups and I’ve been dying to go, but I cannot in good conscience recommend it. Even if the food was good, it was extremely hot inside and made for a very uncomfortable dining experience.
