Piano Terra Savona Reviews
Bel posto dove assaporare un buon cocktail e assaggiare piatti sfiziosi in una atmosfera rilassante
A place that aims high in presentation, ambiance, and service—perhaps even too high for Savona. My wife and I stumbled upon it by chance and decided to try both the restaurant and the after-dinner drinks (the place offers both). Honestly, we weren't expecting this experience: artisanal cuisine, elaborate dishes, and cocktails with little or no ice (a rarity in today's venues) and a story behind them. We appreciated the high-quality ingredients and the great work that goes into preparing the dishes. Perhaps the dish choices are a bit too daring; it wouldn't hurt to have a couple of slightly more "classic" options on the menu to please everyone. The prices are appropriate for the workmanship and the ingredients; you have to be aware of that. The 5 stars are deserved for the exceptional courtesy and expertise of all the staff.
Nice and cozy location with a good selection of drinks, both wines and cocktails. Reservation is highly recommended
Get ready to be treated with white gloves at Retro Savona! From the first moment, the atmosphere will envelop you like that of a royal palace (Buckingham Palace is not far off in sensation, complete with a "team of chefs" ready to delight you!). The environment is simply worthy of a sovereign: relaxing, with attention to every detail, and with an extra touch of warmth thanks to the stove, perfect for cooler evenings. Forget simple chairs: here you can sit with the same elegance as a king on armchairs and sofas designed specifically for your most regal "chill". And to complete the sensorial experience, gentle background music played by discreet speakers will accompany you gently. The menu is no exception either: simple but refined, with dishes presented as true works of art. If you are looking for a place where you can feel pampered like true sovereigns, in a refined and relaxing environment, Retro Savona is your destination! An experience that goes beyond a simple meal.
An experience worth repeating. The cocktail's name is "The Little Helper" (a Christmas bourbon). A killer reinterpretation of the Boulevardier! The place is clean and beautiful, the staff is young and highly knowledgeable, and the food and drinks are sophisticated and top-quality. You pay for quality, but it's definitely worth it.
Beautiful place, very spacious and very very beautiful on the outside, but the drinks menu leaves a lot to be desired, we had the fruitiest one but it seemed vinegary (we thought the drinks were only theirs) then I asked for a spritz and it was fine, the aperitif plates were good but refined exclusive but if there are 8 of you then 8 pieces each, no chips, and this penalizes it a lot, we won't be back, sorry.
Is this where time stands still? Yes, indeed! Here you'll find every ingredient you need to feel good! Kindness, professionalism, attention to detail, and an excellent selection of ingredients. The perfect fusion in an exclusive location where you can retreat whenever you want to pamper yourself. Congratulations!
An elegant and very welcoming venue, with attention to every detail. Highly trained and very friendly staff. Unique, sophisticated, and elegant cocktails, just like the venue itself. The rum-based "Chapeau" and the gin-based "belin che breakfast" are definitely worth trying. The à la carte dishes are also excellent. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, tasteful evening. 😋
Top !! Top !! Top !!
How relaxing can you be while enjoying an aperitivo? At Retrobottega, truly! 😄 A secluded, soothing, chic yet informal atmosphere. Attentive, professional, and discreet service, a carefully selected selection of local wines, and delicious, unpredictable, quality cuisine. A must-try, and a joy to relive time and time again.
A unique and atmospheric venue in Savona's historic center, a bit out of the way, just steps from the port. Good wine list and good cocktails. They also offer craft beers. The staff is young and lively. Ideal for small groups and romantic evenings. The outdoor seating is lovely. Prices are a bit above average. I have to try the food; the photos look inviting.
I've been going to this place for years, and I have to admit the cocktails aren't bad. Their only flaw is that they fill them with ice, which goes way above the rim of the glass, making them undrinkable until the ice has melted a little. I've never really understood how strong the cocktails are because of the iceberg they put in the glass. Customers can have a thousand reasons for not choosing a cocktail and opting for a soft drink: it's a shame that these are served in miniature 200ml bottles. The standard cans are 330ml. The problem, besides the size, is the price: a 200ml bottle costs €5.00 (see receipt!) In short, a can in any bar (even in Milan's Piazza Duomo) costs €3.50 and is 330ml. If you think about it more closely, that means Coca-Cola costs €25.00 per liter. Luckily, there are several wine bars in the area with very good labels: for that price, you can definitely drink better, and the prices are in line with the quality of the products. The cocktails cost €8.00, but I only remember the iceberg cocktail. It's not a question of lice: I would have spent €8, €15, or €20 for a good glass of wine, but certainly not €25/liter for a Coke. The bartender, Andrea, is very nice... it's a shame he wasn't there this evening!
