We have been going to Joelle Barroom & Cafe for many years. Today was the 1st time that I hosted a party there. Everything was perfect! Food, service and atmosphere was top notch! I truly could not have asked for anything better. Amber, Eric & Jake were so easy to deal with for arrangements and Luis is the most amazing server! Highly recommend them!

One of my favorite restaurants ! I have been eating at (Cafe’) Joelle since the 90’s, in their old location on Main St and now in their new location. New location is spacious and the lounge area is so pretty. Everything in the menu is always fresh and delicious. Grilled calamari is the best ! The staff is amazing , especially Luis who has been working there over 25 years, he feels like an old friend and he has watched my kids grow up. Luis always makes us feel at home, we look forward to seeing him and his smile every time we visit! Bar staff is awesome, Jake makes the best Old Fashioned :)

Very busy for 6:30 Saturday night (and extremely loud). Lucky thing we had reservations because it was a long wait. Shelby was our server and she was good. We all enjoyed our meals and dessert. Very surprised to see an Albariño on the wine list. I spoke to Jake (one of the owners) & said it was the best one I've ever had.

I went to this restaurant yesterday with family and we all loved it so much! For appetizers, we ordered bacon wrapped shrimp, grilled calamari, and pulled pork pierogis. Then, for my entrée, I had the Traditional Reuben which was really delicious and filling! The side of French Fries was really delicious too, and I would have something like that again. Wonderful experience overall!

Great place to eat, drink and enjoy yourself with friends. Drinks are generous and food is plenty. You can take home or wolf it down and roll out. Whatever works best for you. My husband LOVED the Penne ala Vodka. Said it was out of this world. The servers were spot on with attention and very pleasant. Will definitely go back again.

We have not been to Cafe Joelle in years and it was our first time at the new location. Loved everything about the place, the cocktails were creative and enjoyable , our food was delicious and our server Gabby was friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be back soon!

The food and service here is wonderful! Definitely try the bacon wrapped shrimp! Highly recommend grabbing a dinner reservation as it gets quite busy. The only issue is that during dinner rush it is really loud and hard to hear conversation at your table. We opt to sit outside in the summer because of it.

Went here for a party! Service and drinks were great! The penna alla vodka was pretty good, but the chicken francese with pasta was dry. Would definitely try this place again.

A few months ago, I went here with my boyfriend for Valentines Day as we had made reservations. It was our first time going to this restaurant, easy back parking so we were able to walk over. The staff, were incredibly nice and friendly had a very welcoming and warm attitude, the setting was very romantic and very nicely set up although the seatings were a bit tight so there wasn’t much space but again it was Valentine’s Day so it was very busy. We ordered pretzel bites for an appetizer, it was very soft, and buttery! The beer cheese that came along with it was delicious as well! As for entree’s my boyfriend ordered the New Orleans Chicken Sandwich along with fries, which was really good and we both loved the sauce that came with it! I ordered Shrimp & Fresh Spinach Pasta which was okay, there was a little too much spinach and the shrimp wasn’t fresh tasting but the sauce was really good! Lastly, my boyfriend and I ordered a PB Oreo Brownie but unfortunately they didn’t have any more of it so we decided to go with the Lava Cake and share it. When the Lava Cake came we were a bit surprised by how small it was, so like each of us ate like two bites so in all fairness I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the desserts as they are very small portions but it was very good tasting otherwise I’d get this at like Applebees or something or somewhere elsewhere. Overall, I recommend this place for a nice and simple date with you and your partner since it has that atmosphere and the staff is super friendly, the food was great for the most part and I really enjoyed my time there so I will definitely be coming back!

Loved Cafe Joelle when it was on Main Street. Now it's just ho hum. Service was terrible and my husband made the reservation for my birthday and the table next to us got the cake and sung to! Lol entrees and app were good, but there's so many other places out there with excellent food and the server doesn't act like you're putting them out and we're very easy with no extras or changes!

Valentines Dinner was a bust! My husband had the blackened Snapper he fully enjoyed it, I ordered the sauerbraten! OH boy! The top piece was like rayhide the 3 other pieces were dried out around the edges! The potato pancakes were hard and cold! The waitress offered another meal or soup? But I wanted to enjoy a meal with my husband, then the manager came over and said ya the ends come out like that?? REALLY the chef should have never sent it out of their kitchen! We paid for the whole meal and they took my glass of wine off the check! Very disappointed! Our reservation was at 3:30, not prime time rush! The waitress was very sweet

Love the food here, never disappointed! My only issue is the parking and the bartender today. Looked like maybe a manager covering (which will make my review a bit worse) the cocktail and service we got wasn't up to Joelles normal standards. Maybe today was an "off" day

What happened to this place? They previously had one of the best burgers around but now it seems like it came out of a box of frozen ones. The fries were ok but also frozen. I had ordered the burger medium rare but it come out nearly well done. The top was grey and it was horrible. When restaurants try to fool customers they will get hurt.

The food was ok but my the main problem was the service, the most interaction I got from waiters was an order and out. Honestly other customers got better treatment than us, I’m Hispanic and a majority of the people there were white. They never checked up on us or asked how we were. They sat us in an under decorated table if that matters too.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant since it has moved from Main Street in Sayville to Foster Avenue. I went with my friend and upon walking in we were impressed by the decorative and elegant atmosphere. The menu was a bit limited, so I inquired about their soup. They were offering cauliflower as one option and French onion as another. I did not care for either so I decided to order the turkey club; however, I thought I would try asking for a grilled cheese sandwich with just a little cheddar cheese, turkey, and bacon. The waiter seemed disconnected, he did write down no mayo, no tomato, and although I reiterated to melt just a bit of cheese so it’s just a grilled cheese, there seemed to be a language barrier. I received a club sandwich, nothing melted. He had another staff member come to the table and I again communicated what I was asking for, she seemed a bit annoyed but did come back with a grilled cheese (with a lot of cheese), turkey and bacon. It didn’t taste bad, I did remove a lot of the cheese. The French fries were very good. Then, my friend received her order which was an omelet, she said it was ok, but was disappointed that in the omelet was ham pieces so small you couldn’t find them. The home fries were good, not dry, but more like just small potatoes cut in half once. She asked for honey mustard, the waiter did not bring any. Then, we received a half bottle of Heinz ketchup. Something you would see at a diner perhaps, and it really was not appealing, did not match the elegance of the room. The waiter did not return to the table to see if we wanted a second glass of soda or wine, he did not come back to check if everything was ok. We were looking forward to the visit because we heard great things about the food here, in fairness I did change the meal, but the service really fell flat, in a very dismissive unwelcoming way. The hostess was not friendly, more robotic when we initially entered the restaurant. I am not sure why that stood out to me here, I tried to be polite by complimenting the decorations and she didn’t say anything, it felt awkward. My friend will return to give it a second chance, I have decided to refrain considering the prices and the inattentive staff, and lack of detail.
