The first thing you notice when you go in there is how clean everything is, from floors, walls, seating, kitchen, etc. The food is unmatched by any other, very generous portions, the quality is excellent and the taste is consistently amazing. They cook their food well and the spices are perfect. The price is very reasonable for the quality of their dishes. Lastly, the workers there are extremely respectful, kind and hospitable. They make me feel welcomed every time I come in especially now that I’m a regular there. Keep up the good work!

Most of my experiences with Halal food are from NYC food carts, many of which are outstanding. Chapli is easily on par with the best of them! The food was fresh. The meat was tender and flavorful but was very balanced so I could still tell what I was eating. The restaurant itself was very clean. The staff was friendly and the food was prepared quickly. The prices are very fair especially considering the portion size. Already looking forward to visiting again! Update: We have been back several more times and we are never let down. This place is legit!

Drove by and noticed the sign, and being a chapli fanatic we had to stop by. The owner was extremely nice and showed us the process on how they made their fresh chaplis and let us record how they made the food. We got the mixed chapli platter and it was an absolute banger. The portions were extremely generous and the chaplis were incredibly flavorful and seasoned well. The sauces on top brought everything together. The photos don't do this justice, this was a excellent meal and I'd make the drive here again just for their chapli platters. Edit: came back again and left again a satisfied customer. The food is consistently a banger and the owner always hooks us up. He had is try his fish, and as some that doesn't eat fish, this is the best fish I've had from a restaurant.

This is only our second time ordering from Chapli platters and we are extremely pleased with the service of the staff and quality of the food. I am 29 weeks pregnant and currently a very picky eater. Meals for me have to smell appetizing, look appealing, and not be over or under seasoned. Chapli platters chicken platter has done it for me each time. This is definitely going to be in our regular meal rotation going forward!

I had an incredible dining experience at Chapli & Platters in Schenectady, New York. The owner, Khan, is an exceptional host who took amazing care in preparing his famous Chicken Chapli platter. The restaurant has a modern and inviting NYC-style decor, and is very clean. The food was a delicious mix of Afghani and American cuisine, with homemade sauces that added a special touch. The platters were massive and offered at a very reasonable price. The restaurant is located in a quaint part of town with street parking available. Overall, I would give Chapli & Platters more than 5 stars if I could. My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Plus, all the food is halal, which is a bonus for those with dietary preferences.

This is a newer establishment on upper Union street that offers a great variety of Mediterranean and Halal style food. They also offer burgers and other more typical American lunch or late night fair.

Unbelievable! Honestly the most delicious food you can get in the Niskayuna/Schenectady area. I got the lamb wrap and it was soooo good! The value is incredible! My wrap was under $8 and did not leave me hungry. The thing was HEAVY! The preparation of the food is a 10/10! The contents of the wrap are prepared and mixed in a bowl with the sauce first and then put into the wrap so every bite is perfectly balanced and full of the delicious white sauce and signature sauce. The ingredients taste as fresh as they look and I was honestly so impressed with the cleanliness of this establishment and the attention to detail in the food prep. The service is great and everything was made fresh to order. DO NOT miss out on the fries as they are so flippin good and the white sauce with them is INCREDIBLE! I also tasted some of the signature chapli chicken from my husbands platter and the flavors are out of this world. The chicken was juicy and crispy and oh so flavorful. You’ve got to try this place!

Before I get to the food . Let me say how spectacular their customer service is . Since the 1st day I walked in they made me feel like I was an old customer. And now I come by weekly to have a taste of their delicious platters.

My new favorite halal spot. My wife and I have already gone here twice in only 1 week. TLDR: BIG portions, CHEAP, AMAZING food, GREAT cafe area, super clean, professional and friendly staff. So far we have tried: - Chicken Shawarma platter: Soooo good, chicken was nice and tender, great flavor, rice was fluffy and perfect texture, fresh side of salad, and it comes with french fries too? 5/5 stars. - Chicken sandwich: My wife said it's her new favorite place to get a fried chicken sandwich. I stole a bite from her's. Nice tender chicken, crispy breading, nice actual brioche bun with good flavor, not like the flavourless fast food buns, fresh lettuce, tomato. Perfect chicken sandwich. 5/5 stars from my wife and me. - Bacon cheeseburger: The best burger at this price point you can buy. As I stated above, fresh veggies, a really good bun, now add a burger, some crispy bacon. The burger itself is good, everything else brings it up a notch. Ive paid much more for a burger that was no where near as good. $9? Yes please! 5/5 stars. - Fried whiting fish: Probably the best prepared, freshest, and perfectly cooked piece of fried fish I've ever had. Breading was perfectly thin and crispy, The fish was ridiculously tender. 5/5 stars. - French fries: Well seasoned french fries, nice and crispy, and generous portions. 5/5 stars.

Amazing food n amazing vibes. Their becan cheeseburger was the best, the next we go we will definitely be getting it again. Their Chapli wraps were also really good. Normally I don't like American chapli kebabs but theirs was surprisingly really good. Didn't take more pics but next we do so surely. Oh also their city burger was also really good.

A true 5* Great flavors, rice has great aromatics. Tziki sauce here just hits different. The chicken was nice and tender as well, very juicy. Enough cannot be said about the food, you'll have to try it for yourself. Restaurant was very clean. It's a white interior yet they keep it spotless. Friendly and helpful staff.

Food is phenomenal. I called in about 10 minutes beforehand, and when I came in, they had it ready, but they actually did the pleasure of refrying the fries and the meat so that it's nice and hot. We found a great Halal place close to us so we decided to check it out. The food was really good and they recommended we try a few different sauces with our meal. My favorite sauce was the mild sauce as the hot sauce was EXTRA🥵. I loved the ambience and kids would love it too when they see the cartoon characters painted on the walls. The employees were so so very nice, respectful and professional. They were very helpful when it came to ordering our meals. This place was also very clean which surprised me because they were very busy with multiple people eating in and ordering to go. I've been seeing this place advertised in a couple different places and I really wanted to try it and finally tonight we did. Let me tell you you will not be disappointed. When you first walk in the place it's very clean, bright and welcoming. The gentleman taking orders was very nice and knowledgeable and recommends things to try. I ordered the Chicken Chapli platter with a side of falafels and my husband got the Lamb Chapli with a side of mozzarella sticks. The proportions are huge, my chicken was so tasty and tender and flavorful and it went perfectly with the rice and the white sauce on top. The fries were good but it makes me wonder what the pita taste like which I'll have to get the next time. I wish there was a little bit more salad because I like to mix everything together but the salad was also very good. I heard mixed reviews about their falafels so it kind of made me weary of buying the platter so that's why I got them on the side and let me tell you they will not disappoint. They were crusty on the outside and nice and soft in the inside and flavorful. I was dipping in the white sauce and the red sauce mixed together just a great combination. My husband said it was one of the best lamb gyro meats he's ever had. He even ate the whole meal while we were there I had to take half home. The mozzarella sticks were nothing to write home about they were just kind of generic and the marinara that came with it was just kind of like pizza sauce and it was cold which I kind of prefer mine a little warm. But that was my only gripe about the whole place. I love the flavor of the rice. And I don't know what was in that green sauce I really like that too it was yummy on my salad. I will definitely be back!

This place is 2 blocks away, so I was real interested to see what they had to offer. I knew on my way down that I would try the lamb because it will tell so much about everything else. So happy that it was so tender and delicious! As was the seasoned rice, a delicious salad, some fries and a couple of sauces to add some zing. They are open at 10am for a late breakfast or early lunch and stay open late. Not that I'm usually out prowling for food at 1am but it does happen. And I haven't even talked about the portion. I weighed the container when I got home. 2.3 lbs of food. I ate about 1 lb (and I'm stuffed) and there's so much more for tomorrow.

The food is excellent and very fresh. Lots of flavor and spices throughout the platter. There is a great atmosphere in the shop and it is very very clean. For a price point of around $14 a platter your portion is massive that could easily feed 2 people. With great hours and 7 days a week service this is a perfect go to late night meal after a night out or even a late lunch during the work week.

The person who stated he was the owner was a very disrespectful & rude guy who doesn't know how to deal with his customers. We came all the way from NYC & the man didn't allow us to even use the bathroom. The other guy at the cashier was a very respected & welcoming guy. However, the owner, the guy with glasses, had a nasty attitude & doesn't seem to know anything about customer service. His ego seems to be bigger than his restaurant. I definitely know I won't be coming back here just because of him.
