I ordered a Buffalo chicken footlong through Doordash from this location. I've been getting this sub for years at Subway all over the place. Whoever is working that location at the time of this review made the best sub I've had to date. It really reminded me of Subway 20 years ago. Prices have gone up for everything, but that sub was worth every cent. ($20 after doordash tip). I will be checking out this location much more often now.

My husband and I popped into Subway on upper Union St. In Schenectady,NY for lunch. We ordered a meatball sub and a salad. Both items were quite good, and we enjoyed cookies that came with the meal. The staff was very friendly and the dining area was very clean. However, there is a HUGE hole in the parking that could cause severe damage if a driver doesn't see it. I was quite surprised to see something that could be a danger not only to cars but to pedestrians. Please fix it.

Person who said his name was Joseph had a problem when asked to changed his gloves after making at least 5 subs for different customers. As he prepared my sub kinda tossed it to the next person. Logan the second person changed his gloves after every person he served put my steak sub in oven. Gave good service from logan. This place should have cameras on their employees. I’ve ordered twice now via them mobile app, for pick up. Both times I’ve requested that the dressings, for ONE of the two subs ordered, be left off of the sub (on the side). Both times the dressings were on the subs. I’ve been generous while tipping the “sandwich artist”, just to be disappointed with these workers because of their absentmindedness and lack of a decent work ethic. The restaurant, by no means, was busy. Both times I picked up food, the workers were in the back. The last time I said good afternoon to them and didn’t even get a response, let alone a smile of any kind. Last time I tip…that’s for sure. My request is seen, clear as day, on the same receipt they taped to my bag.

I only give this a a 3 star because the customer service was good but the food was only satisfactory. The cu service was a bit dry at this location however the food itself caused a serious case of one upset stomach for me and my fiance. We got a philly cheese steak sub and the Italian mix sub and although it was pretty tasty the after effects were not worth it, all in all.

Cheap and overpriced are the two most fitting words I could use to sum up my experience. They also don’t accept any coupons. So if you’re in the downtown Schenectady area and receive any coupons in the mail, don’t get your hopes up. They won’t accept them.

I ordered a sub, chips, drink and 6 white chocolate chip cookies. I ordered thru subway app so I could use point but DoorDash delivered. I received my sub, 4 CHOCOLATE chip cookies, no drink, no chips. As soon as DoorDash handed it to me I could tell the drink wasn’t in there just from the weight of the bag. I asked him, we opened the bag. The drink wasn’t in there. The chips weren’t in there and obviously the wrong cookies and not even the amount that I ordered. He told me I had to contact the restaurant directly since I did it through the Subway app. I tried calling the restaurant three times. It rang and rang and rang. It’s only 6 PM and they’re open till eight. I contacted Doordash They tried to reach out to the restaurant and could not get through nor could they get through to Subway® customer support. Doordash is going to request a refund on my behalf. This isn’t the first time this has happened at this location. I usually go pick it up because of this but I was not feeling well so I had it delivered. Not sure how they just substitute one type of cookie for a completely different one. My phone number is in my customer information, they could’ve called and asked if I’d like a substitution if they were out of something. And how do you not make sure that everything on the receipt is not in the bag? And I haven’t even opened my sub yet, so who knows if that’s even right. I’ve worked in restaurants and Customer service jobs all my life so I always try to give the establishments the benefit of the doubt maybe they were having a bad day. Maybe they were shortstaffed, but this happens way too often at this location. It’s pure laziness and ignorance and definitely not good customer service.

We spent over $100.00 there to find out when we went we went to pay that they don't accept coupons there are no signs any were to that customers know that.I got home they messed up my whole order gave us the wrong bread,mixed subs up.The staff was rude had attitude and I look at my receipt to find she gave her self a tip...I will be calling corporate and my bank.

It's hard to rate a place that is closed before 8pm on a Wednesday night. Not sure why this site says its open til 9pm when it clearly didn't even make it until 8. Glad there are about a dozen other options on Union Street that stay open through normal hours.

What are the hours during the week? I came there Friday and on the website it says the hours are until 9:30, I arrived at 9:00 and was told we’re closed. If that is the hours please update you’re website. I hope the employees are not taking it upon themselves to close when they feel like it?

My mother had ordered from them earlier had a whole problem with the app and never got the order after the money was already taken. We called the first time and the first girl who answered the phone incredibly sweet and was very nice. Second time we had to call got some rude guy who had a very rude tone and just a bad attitude and I did not appreciate that at all. Definitely not a great experience.

Now I see why nobody goes to this particular Subway store. If I could put a negative star ⭐ on here I definitely would have. I understand you charge extra for meat that's fine, but when your customers tells you one sub is a BLT with extra meat and you ring it up as a CHICKEN STRIPS SUB to purposely make it more expensive because you don't know how to do your dam job right & you thinking its funny but your manager is standing right there which you could ask him for help. Then order a Doritos footlong nachos which didn't have much nachos in it and the edges were burnt plus wanted everything on it except no jalapeno peppers and when I said to put some guacamole on it, you said you can't do that but according to the sign on the glass you can. So that is false advertising right there. Maybe management needs to make sure they are training their employees well enough to do their job correctly and make sure they are not high when working like NYS law specified! 👍 Also when you ring up a blt, it's the sandwich price plus extra meat, extra meat so you know next time!! Plus work on your customer service skills if you have any at all!!!

Five days ago, I visited to pick up some subs and was shocked by the unsanitary conditions. Flies were everywhere, and none of the food workers wore hairnets. One worker's hair was particularly unkempt almost touching the food, and although she wore gloves, she touched multiple surfaces, leading to cross-contamination. The place was a total mess. I’m surprised it passes health inspections. I definitely won't be eating here again.

I ordered the 6” Titian Turkey sub and they added only 2 slices of turkey and the Churro was so hard you can hurt someone with it! lol Do better, Subways! I won’t be wasting my money at this location anymore!

Extremely poor customer service. Manager is rude and nasty to customers when they ask for help. Then asked to speak with a manager and they said “I AM THE MANAGER” like out of a Dave chappelle pop copy skit. Will never go back to this trashy place. I'm only giving this shop a 1 because I can't give it a 0. 1. This Subway does not take any coupons, online or in store. 2. This Subway charges the highest price for a sandwich in the area. Almost $10 for a footlong Spicy Italian is insane. 3. I was given attitude by the clerk when I placed my order. 4. I asked for the telephone number of the manager and was given a number that is no longer in service. There are plenty of other Subway shops in the area; I now understand why the parking lot was empty when I got there. Shame on me, should've realized that to be a very bad sign. Avoid this Subway at all costs.

Pointed out a 2 inch silverfish walking across the floor and the guy with the goatee says what do you want me to do step on it for you? Then he says it's from people opening the door. This Subway is one of the worst. The staff hardly puts any vegetables on the sandwich and I have to keep saying more vegetable please and they get mad when I do that. The attitude of the staff has never been good. The parking is poor and it is an old dingy place. Save your money and bypass this Subway.

Worst subway franchise ever. They have limited hours, previous ownership left and the place was closed for weeks, if not months, opened under new management and now their computer system has been down for over a week so you can't use your subway card, gift certificates or credit. And since their point of sale units had the windows xp startup sound, I'm not sure anyone wants to use their credit cards on such an old insecure system anyhow.

They prioritize online orders. Walk-in customers have to wait until online orders I waited 15 minutes before I can even place my order come in and get processed before they took my order.

Extremely poor customer service. Manager is rude and nasty to customers when they ask for help. Then asked to speak with a manager and they said “I AM THE MANAGER” like out of a Dave chappelle pop copy skit. Will never go back to this trashy place. All I wanted was a sub that I paid for on the app. App doesn’t work. Managers are ignorant and uneducated never going back

I'm only giving this shop a 1 because I can't give it a 0. 1. This Subway does not take any coupons, online or in store. 2. This Subway charges the highest price for a sandwich in the area. Almost $10 for a footlong Spicy Italian is insane. 3. I was given attitude by the clerk when I placed my order. 4. I asked for the telephone number of the manager and was given a number that is no longer in service. There are plenty of other Subway shops in the area; I now understand why the parking lot was empty when I got there. Shame on me, should've realized that to be a very bad sign. Avoid this Subway at all costs.

Pointed out a 2 inch silverfish walking across the floor and the guy with the goatee says what do you want me to do step on it for you? Then he says it's from people opening the door. Like who, customers? Well no worries, you just lost a family of 4 who eats out regularly. First review I've ever written. He was that rude.
