Taste of China Schenectady Reviews
Excellent food, quick turn around; highly recommend!
It is not usual these days for a company to correct Something a customer is not satisfied with taste of China Has proven me wrong. They have done their best to make sure that me and My Son have a good meal. I appreciate the effort. I appreciate the correction. Taste of China is one of a kind.
food is top notch.... it's a take out place, sit down experience isn't the best, just a couple cheap booths
The food is very good and I like their egg rolls. The kitchen looks cleaner than other places I have seen. I'm not one to play Russian roulette.
The food is great and the staff friendly, just very busy. It's a take out place, so the dining atmosphere may be a little dystopian, but it doesn't matter. I always enjoy the food and I get a good value for my money.
Moved here from FL in December and have been here a few times since then. I'm actually glad that their food takes time to make when I order because it has always been made fresh. The lobster fried rice is pretty good but the shrimp fried rice is a true gem... The shrimp bursted with delightful flavor and tasted blackened in just the right way. The lemon chicken was legit a chicken katsu with steamed broccoli and a very nice lemon dipping sauce. They clearly use high quality ingredients.
Amazing job. They delivered 15 mins earlier than expected. Food was piping hot and delicious. Lady who took my order was quick and efficient. Portion sizes are amazing. This is truly a hidden gem.
Fast and friendly service. We work nearby and cant always make it to pick up our food in a timely manner. Taste of China often will remake our food fresh and free of charge. They are very kind and I would suggest this place to anyone.
Excellent food and service. Catered for 70 people at a recent church event. First discovered this restaurant on late Christmas eve when other food establishments were closed. Didn't know we would be a returning customer 2 weeks later to order for a church service.
My order always gets messed up or missing things and spend a lot of money on the food
Used to be tasty not so much. They tend to either overcook or undercooked depending on what you buy
The food is good, but they stop answering the phones really early. So I couldn't get my order in at ten o'clock when they close about ten thirty.
I base chinese spots off their chicken wings. The food is good if the wings are good... here not so much unfortunately. Their homemade tea is good though, and some items on the menu. This also have apply pay which is always good for business.
The lady who working here so rude so bad I think because of her attitude they loosing lots of customers, but they have really very good food. Food is no second word about it, but it is also very important. The people who working they also have to communicate with a customers very nicely. That’s how they attract more customers more people and back good business but here the people who working totally everybody is a really very bad not good
The people who work here really don't have sense and they don't understand language.\n The only thing I can say here the food is good. But the people is really, really, very, very bad and rude, and don't have common sense when they don't like you, they talk about customer in their language. I'm not happy with behavior and really very honesty they have to ban this restaurant
The food wasn't good at all to me.
Stopped in a while back while waiting for the NYC bus. Honestly everything tasted like they cooked it on a dirty grill or something. I had chicken wings and plain pork fried rice. The wings tasted weird and the rice was straight up disgusting. It tasted really, really bad. Like it was old and cooked in a wok that was never cleaned after cooking a million other things in it. I don't recommend this place at all. Schenectady doesn't have the best Chinese food but this was bad even by those standards. You're definitely better off waiting till you get to the city.
Will NEVER order from here again. When I arrived to pick up my food, I was never presented with any receipt showing what I ordered, nor was my order confirmed as packed. I ordered fried dumplings and COLD sesame noodles. I thought I paid more than expected but thought my math was wrong. It was only $2 and change. I walked back to my office only to discover they did not give me what I ordered. I telephoned and asked them to please send over the correct order. I was advised by the woman on the phone to give the driver the entire wrong order. I received my order and gave the driver the entire incorrect order. Guess what? NO DUMPLINGS - just sesame noodles. Called again and this time the woman told me "No I said give back only the wrong items." I asked why my sesame noodles were hot. She told me that's what I ordered. FFS - NOPE! As I looked at my email receipt. Driver came back with the dumplings which were soggy and tasted very funky. The establishment is in disgusting shape. You can eat there; however, make sure you don't have to use the bathroom as there aren't any. Last I knew that was a requirement. Will see how I feel in a few hours.
Food was hot and quick. Sesame chicken was ok. Egg foo young had strips of onion in it like a lot im not sure what that was about and hardly any egg. I asked for beef it looked like pork. The sauce was good but the rice was a little gooey. Ok listen so the fried dumplings are a no from me. Bland dough, undercooked on the inside burnt and dry on the outside. And the dipping sauce is soy sauce guys. Inside was mushed sausage, blended like. Hands down I'm sticking with golden house at this point. I'll drive to pick it up, sorry guys this was the second chance I've given yall in 3 years and updated review. Next time!!!!
