This restaurant is right off Ocean Ave at the entrance of Cayucos pier. There is on street parking. It is within walking distance from any of the inns off Ocean Ave. We came here after reading the reviews. I wanted to have really good clam chowder. You order at the counter and seat yourself indoors or outdoors which I prefer so the wait isn't as long. Josh at the order counter was great, patient and helpful. The wait to be served was under 10 minutes. The clam chowder was very delicious, lots of clam, not salty, creamy with no potatoes. My hubby had the crab louie which he hadn't had for years. He absolutely loved it. We will definitely return here on our next visit to Cayucos.

Fast service. We came just to grab some appetizers to hold us over for dinner. We had crab cakes. They were 7/10 Friendly atmosphere. Perfect weather to sit outside. Open on Easter Sunday 💯

We ordered the creamy clam chowder, shrimp and chips, and oysters and chips. Everything was fresh and delicious. They also have a double IPA on tap, which was a nice addition to the meal.

Fishing Paradise California

Came here looking for fish and chips and a clam chowder bread bowl. Absolutely loved it and the whole family really enjoyed this casual diner feel. The food hit the spot and we took a nice stroll down the pier afterwards. The food came fast and it was somewhat busy. Would definitely come back and try other options on their menu.

Duckies is Good to go to... The fish is amazing, And basically everything I have ordered There is great.... i have NEVER experienced one bad thing there...My kids love it, they have a busy environment. Even the kids items are very good I don't think the other restaurants can top this place in this area. My favorite is the fish and veggies... also they got good local taps on beers.

Fish and chips are great, good texture. I’ve tried both regular fries and garlic. It’s definitely worth upgrading to the garlic fries because regular ones aren’t the best. The chowder is no bueno, too thick and not creamy enough. I’d pass on it and I’ve ordered twice to be sure. They should use Ivar’s chowder.

The food was great. The rock crab salad was fresh, sweet, even have micro greens!! Onion rings was delicious and crispy. Chowder was great with the bread bowl but I could have gone without the bread bowl. Too full Raw oyster is fresh and taste like the ocean. $15 is good price. My first time here but won't be the last.

Cozy, seaside view with plenty of seating and classic seafood options. Prices are what you would expect, nothing too pricey. We went with fish and chips and a bowl of clam chowder. The fish was fresh and the portions are big. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a place to relax and eat a meal by the beach. Seating is mostly inside but the windows are wide open so perhaps there is also seating on the sidewalk.

Steamed clams were disappointing for the price. Served with two small pieces of bread. Tiny clams. 2 that didn't open. Not impressed given the price. The onion rings almost made up for it. My parents had the fish and chips and calamari sandwich. They were happy with their meals.

The food was decent. Could be a bit better in areas. We had Carna asado tacos ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fish tacos ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Clam chowder ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Garlic fries (just order these! They are so good) The asado tacos were fattier than they should be. Maybe skip these. The fish tacos could be better. The fish was shredded and I wish it was bigger pieces. It would be better but they are large! Flavor was good tho. The clam chowder is good and worth getting. It's a large size. The fries were so good. I'd go back and get them again. Worth it. The water was even good. Food was served pretty fast too.

Reviews seemed good so was looking forward to trying this place. NE Clam chowder so so, clams need to be cleaned better (sand) and they weren’t very tender. Fish and chips not very good. Oil needed to be changed. Harbor Hut is much better. Won’t be back.

We were visiting antique shops and came to Cayucos to visit Remember When. A quick look at Google and I saw all the rave reviews for Duckies so we walked over to check it out. We ordered the Manhattan chowder, fish and chips, shrimp and chips and garlic fries. The service was incredibly fast. Despite the reviews it was not the best chowder. It wasn't bad, but had few clams and lacked flavor, except salt. The fish and shrimp were good, but a bit salty. The garlic fries were excellent. They should offer to upgrade the chips to garlic fries. The location was good, right next to the pier.

I have to say I was disappointed with the lack of flavor. The fish tacos were bland. I had to add malt vinegar to give it some flavor and the fish was dry. The fish and chips wasn’t exciting either. The sourdough bread bowl was whatever. The chowder in the bread bowl was kinda watery and it requires a lot of Tabasco for flavor. I would not recommend or go back. They do have outdoor seating which is great if you have a dog with you. Right next to the beach, so great location.
