Delfinas Kitchen awesome place to eat ! My husband and I are truck driver we spend a lot of time away from home and I hardly have time to cook anymore that’s where the restaurant replaces all my cooking homemade tortillas as size of a pizza mmmm and the plates that they have there are so delicious it’s like you were going to your great grandmothers house to eat !!! The staff are really down to earth & great customer service and the prices are great to tell you the truth the food there is made from the heart so that means PRICELESS!!! So if your ever around this area go to Delfinas Kitchen you won’t be disappointed

We took a chance on this place and it didn’t disappoint! We got chicken enchilada dinner and chicken fajita quesadilla and both dishes were flavorful, fresh and YUM from the rice to the beans to the main dish itself! It’s a really cute, colorful place, too!

When I am biketouring (or motoring!) this direction, Stopping here in a essential! Within the past two months, I had two critical biketours: my Blue Origins Loop and the Dell City Diversion. A highlight of both was being able to recharge my body with some of the best/most delicious (Mexican) food anywhere on either side of the border. My gastro-pleasure was multiplied exponentially on 30NOV-01DEC2021, when I had an outstanding overnight in the adjacent Americana Inn Motel—that meant an excellent evening AND perfect Brekkie! An evening meal sizzling skillet of chicken/shrimp was quickly cooked up for a “starving” me, and the desayuno was simply superb. I really enjoyed the jamaica purple drink, which I had to have after hearing that it was freshly made from scratch—no package mixes involved! The same is true for their sandia (watermelon), and I look forward to the horchata because it’ll also be made from scratch. A great deal of care goes into the prep & service of these (and other) nutritious dishes/drinks; I look forward to eventually enjoying all of them in time. However, I’m very pleased with one (or maybe two or three?) at a time. You, too, should definitely make it a point to stop at exit 108–easy off/on for all roadusers, no matter if 2- or 18-wheels—and treat yourself to the best! DELFINA’s KITCHEN certainly has my coveted “iWheel of Approval!”

Must try! Hands down the best enchiladas I've had. The red sauce was unique and packed with flavor. The food was fresh and served in under 5 minutes. The restaurant was very clean and the staff very friendly. 10/10

First time ever stopping here ,I purchased dinner Mexican combo delicious, friendly staff good food at reasonable prices if you enjoy Mexican food you'll like it ,big truck parking behind the restaurant abd and ture shop ,convenientl for travelers local area persons right at interstate I--10 Easy access. Things to no when out traveling .Added note money well spent.

For a small restaurant in a very small town just off the interstate close to the middle of nowhere this family run restaurant hit all the requirements for road weary travellers - great food, quick and friendly service, and a fair price. I've added it to my "stop here again" list. Will definitely return. We had the Cheese Enchilada Plate with rice, beans, and salad along with a Breakfast Plate w 3 eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, and buttermilk pancakes - all was excellent!

I pulled off the freeway to use the facilities at the Chevron next door, and on my way out I spied Delfina's and decided I was hungry. Best decision ever! The hostess helped me choose a burrito supreme with steak to go. In just a few minutes I was on my way with said burrito and a root beer for a little over $7 - BARGAIN! Unwrapping the burrito, I just knew it was gonna be great and it was. So tasty, the beef was deliciously seasoned and the mix of onions, peppers, and avocado was perfect, and it was wrapped in an obviously homemade and very fresh tortilla. Probably the best I've ever had. I Should have turned around and bought 10 more but I was already behind schedule - I'm definitely stopping at Delfina's the next time through!

Very authentic n charming little eatery in the middle of nowhere I 10. A real bargain too! Delfina's has survived while most other businesses are now abandoned. My husband really enjoyed his chicken enchiladas and my club sandwich was tasty n satisfying. Recommend for a break on the I 10 drive.

Restaurant is clean, service is prompt and friendly along with good food. The salsa is good with the right amount of kick. I would recommend this location if passing through as I did myself. It's nice also to see the locals gather here which creates that important sense of community.

Nice place to stop and grab a bite to eat on a long trip thru texas. They got a full menu, but they have a list of the burritos they offer to-go on the counter. So far I'm impressed with the quality of their food.

This place is so cute and they have good authentic food; they use simple ingredients but everything is fresh. They have a fantastic salsa made from scratch that is a must try.

My husband and I stopped on the way to San Antonio for a quick bite, and it was delicious! We had a couple of red chile burritos that were so good we can’t wait for our trip back to stop again.

K

This is amazing! Yeah… you’d never expect this to be so good, given the location, BUT…. I promise you that it is…. I actually felt sad that I didn’t get a chance to stop here again on the way back across the county. One of those old stories of places you will always tell your grandchildren you wish stopped at again… but didn’t. Coffee is smooth as could be (don’t even need cream), and food is fresh and hot. Give it a shot. I made a rhyme so give ‘em a dime. Good luck.

Attention drivers!!! Skip the drive through window and get some real food. Seriously good eats!!!! It's so worth it and it's not going to slow you down that much. Trust me - it's worth delaying your arrival for this one!

I stopped there by purely accident. But I got to say this place has some of the best breakfast on I10 between San Antonio & El Paso. Fresh home made flour tortillas. And clean excellent service from the owners. Will be back once I’m in the west Texas area.

Stop here every time we go from Phoenix to San Antonio and on the way back. At least a couple of times a year and have never been disappointed. Good food, good service, and the portions are very generous. Will definitely stop every time.

Homemade food. The guacamole was prepared fresh with jalapenos, onion and tomato in it. The waitress was friendly. This was a nice break off Interstate 10. We've passed by many times, so glad we decided to stop here this time.

Great local restaurant, its totally worth the drive from my off grid ranch! I've had burgers, breakfast, and of course the Mexican food, all very good, usually very fast service. The local favorite, dine with local law enforcement, Border Patrol, and all your neighbors!

Always good to stop in while we are back home. The owner eould be a very strong role model for what a hard worker is. Kudos to her. I wish her a lot of success at her new location. Smaller but cuter.

OMG OMG OMG!!!! Accidental road trip stop, turned magically transcendent by the first bite of beans! I used to have a bean blog, and beans done right are like a religion. These were the holy grail! We got some to go. And we’re driving to Tucson, which is (was?) the bean capital of the universe!

Great food at good prices, Courteous service. Lots of Coffee refills! They had an old home town comfortable, hole in the wall feel. Clean tables, clean utensils and good food. Looking forward to going back for dinner and again in the morning for breakfast. If your passing through Sierra Blanca you need to stop in!

Note they close at 8 pm. We were there finishing up and a couple walked in at 7:46 pm. The lady told them they are closed. My husband and I informed her quickly that Google says 9 PM, but the couple had already left. Everything was great. I just wished the couple would have been served. The dishes we had were not listed. They were good. We would come back.

T

Pulled in after driving all day and they were closed when we walked up but on the way back to the truck she called us in and made us some Burritos to go and they are the best Burritos we've had anywhere!! Definitely stopping in on the way back! Amazing hospitality and food!

Terrific place for a quick exit & reentry from/to Interstate 10. Good food on a full plate. Quick and friendly service. We discovered it for lunch on an eastbound trip from Las Cruces, NM to Pecos, TX. My choice was chicken enchiladas with red sauce. Wife's choice was a hybrid taco salad with rice instead of meat. All food was very tasty! 3% adder for credit card.

Stopped at this little place just off Rt I-10E, it was about 30 min before closing, we were welcomed warmly, served immediately, the food was HOT & DELICIOUS & the portions were VERY GENEROUS!! I love Mrs Delfina. She’s always got a smile on her face to welcome you in after a long day/night of driving. Keep our truck parking area clean, she provides a dumpster. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and easy on/off access to I-10.

My new favorite restaurant!!! The Avocado bacon cheeseburger my favorite also the Mexican dinner plate. Trust me it hits the spot. For the truck driver community, they do have parking and overnight parking just dont ruin it for the rest of us. Clean up after yourself respect a good delicious restaurant that allows us here to eat.

Just stopped in here during a road trip from San Diego to Dallas. The food was amazing as if it was homemade! My friend and I got to talk to the owner and some of her employees and they were So incredibly nice and welcoming! If you want real Mexican food made fresh by real Mexicans then stop here.....you will not be disappointed. Delfina's is awesome and the owner Senorita Delfina is the best!!! She personally came to my table to make sure I was enjoying the food and made me extra flour tortillas fresh along with her custom special homemade salsa. Skip the old Jack in the Crack and stop at Delfina"s in Sierra Blanca, Texas.

A lovely place with great food. I had a club sandwich. It was delicious and the bread was butter toasted. I really should have gotten one of the daily specials but I was really craving a sandwich that afternoon. If I ever get back there I will check out the daily specials before ordering. Service was stellar, prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was comfortable and cheerful. Nothing beats a local cafe.

Things happen for a reason because I found this place by mere chance on my way back to Houston from my Tour. The Food here is Delicious but it’s because it is made with love , the staff here is amazing and welcoming destiny and the owner Delfina wow !! Amazing experience! This family-owned restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The traditional decor and friendly staff make you feel right at home." Standout Food: The homemade tortillas and flavorful fajitas are exceptionally fresh, and the burgers are a local favorite. Exceptional Service: The service is consistently attentive and kind, adding to the cozy, relaxed vibe of the place. Hearty Variety: Whether you're stopping in for the daily lunch buffet or a classic breakfast of pancakes, every dish is prepared with care.

An unusual restaurant in an small town that has seen better days (the town I mean). The restaurant itself is a typical roadside type cafe and has walls full of handprints. They provide finger paint for you to leave your own handprint if you wish and I did. Look for my handprint labelled "Dan" on the right side as you enter above the second shelf. Mexican food was excellent. Because the food is good and prices extremely reasonable, I suspect lots of truckers might stop here.

Ordered some super combo. It was a chille relleno, ground beef taco and enchilada, cheese enchilada, and a avocado tostada, rice and beans. Yeah, couldn't finish it. The rice was ok, not bad but just ok. Everything else was excellent! What a surprise. My son and I were just driving through. I'm sorry that I live five hundred miles away. This would be a mainstay for me.

Great staff and amazing food. I’ll support a local business over fast food any day. Perfect spot off the 10 and ample amount of space. I think it’s the perfect spot for a trucker. Rather than eating junk food that cost the same as here you can get a lot of good food. Menudo was my favorite. Got the super Mexican plate to go for dinner. I’m happy with my decision. Will stop by every week when I pass by here.

This is the type of food that creates memories. The food made with love, skill, and good ingredients. Everything was absolutely amazing. The tortillas for the tacos were exquisite. The chicken was juicy and perfect. The rice was the best Mexican rice I’ve ever had. Perfect balance of seasoning. Also. The classics were mastered to perfection-best pancakes ever Fluffy, golden brown, buttery. If you are traveling through Sierra Blanca, it would be a fatal mistake not to stop here. Thank you.

I love hole in the walls that embrace what they are, and don’t try for a pretentious aura of being more grandiose than they are. #nailed it. I love when a food (Mexican, Chinese, Italian) is authentic in flavor and consistency to the region or culture it’s associated with. #nailedit Things I look for in a server, or host/hostess: Attainable; Approachable; Friendly; Efficient; Knowledgeable; and Articulate. #nailedit. 100% they earned the 5 stars. And will be back again. Small, unpretentious hole in the wall, with great food and an even better staff. #winning

We were just looking for a bathroom and getting some gas when we spotted this wonderful family run restaurant and gift shot. As soon as we stepped in we saw how colorful and clean the Mexican restaurant was. They have an extensive and very affordable menu. We saw lots of border patrol and local folks stopping by for takeout. The owner treated each person with the same friendly service. We got a simple bean and cheese burrito, a cheese quesadilla (the tortilla was freshly made and had such a nice flavor), and beans and rice. Everything was fresh and delicious. We had BBQ earlier that day so did not want more meat. The bathrooms were clean which is nice for a family on a long road trip like us. The owner and staff were so frienand.

What a suprise incredibly good home made Mexican food. Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside was well done. Its in a little town called Sierra Blanka about 80 miles out of El Paso and before Van Horn. Way better then fast food. If you're driving thru Texas on I-10 well worth the stop. Easy on and off I-10 even for RV'S and big trucks.

Almost drove right by the place. It was good, not great. There was a man having a bowl of chicken soup with fresh tortillas and limes that wasn't on the menu and we weren't told of any specials. Same with the Aguas frescas when asked what beverages there were; only knew when I got up to look in the cooler. Many locals come in. Tortillas are made fresh and cooked on the griddle. We had the Bisteak Ranchero and cantaloupe Aguas fresca. Salty but good. Dine in and take out available.

Simply put... Delicious Mexican food. I had the super Mexican dinner. Best enchiladas I've ever had. The red sauce that comes with it is rich in color, full of flavor, and was slightly mild. The rice and beans were also pretty good. This was the first time I had chile releno, and it had a good flavor. My problem was the texture of the breaded flour on the outside. I would have prefer it be more crispy since it looked deep fried. My bf had the chicken fajitas quesadilla which was also delicious. Quesadilla was intact, holds temperature nicely, and had the prefect amount of cheese to chicken ratio. The chicken was cooked nicely and not dry. Would have liked some salsa or sauce to go with the quesadilla; otherwise, it would have been perfect. Service was good as I was greeted when I enter the restaurant and told a correct eta as to when my food would be ready.

Nice change of pace from typical road trip food. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but here’s mine: it does the job. I ordered the chicken floutas and horchata while my husband ordered their grand slam breakfast. We were also given chips and salsa which naturally you can’t go wrong with. The place wasn’t busy but again, this is one of those places that you would stop by after driving for long stretches and don’t want the typical fast food chain brand food. Bummer that there was no changing table for my little one but we’re flexible and just went back to the car to change him. Overall place was decent enough food wise.

In west Texas breakfast spots along Interstate 10 a few and even farther between. This is a small not fancy place but bright and cheerful inside The chilaquiles were good with 2 eggs on top. Traditional breakfast was good. The coffee a bit weak. Nice prompt waitress.

New place same good food. Ordered enchiladas and chicken taquitos plate. Food was good though the rice did seem dry, I went for dinner so it was likely made early in the morning and it was probably left uncovered and lost moisture. My taquitos were made fresh though, steaming hot when I got plate. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I stop by this restaurant when passing thought this highway. Will return again.

Pretty good, quick place to stop and grab a bite... I had the combination plate... Two enchiladas with red sauce, Rice and beans with a crispy Taco... Further you get from San Antonio Texas the Mexican food changes... But this Was definitely worth The stop...and check out the little store next to it if you get the chance...

I like the atmosphere of the colorful Mexican culture, and the food was good. The bathroom is very small and dirty. You can barely fit between the door and the wall when trying to close the door! And I'm a skinny woman. You can tell this place is struggling because we asked for more napkins and she brought us ONE. Had to ask again and she brought us ONE again. We have a toddler! They make messes! Do I have to explain that? I would recommend this place. Support local businesses and help this place get better, so they can improve their quality and not skimp out on napkins!

$4.75 service charge on your/a/any Credit card purchase $4.75! $4.75 passed on to you the consumer. No signs posted, not on menu, wait staff no mention of, not even while checking out until we question the bill, why bill jumped up so high, no itemized receipt given until requested to see said charges and the gratuity/tip as we instructed the waitress to add 15% gratuity, the CC machine behind counter, none have a visual of just a simple an itemized slip handed to you. SAD, SAD!! Cozy Mexican Cafe, traditional Fair, tasty with friendly wait staff.

Coffee taste like dirty water and the place is way over priced! Chorizo and egg plate was $8.50 guess they gouge people since it's the only restaurant in town. Next time we're just driving on.

S
Sandra Rodriquez-Snyder

The food was awful and over priced. The waitress was on her phone texting or playing games. She never asked if we needed refills on coffee. There were many flies in the building. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

k

Very poorly ran. Walked in and it wasn’t the cleanest and smelled like geese. I had a service dog w me and they asked to see his paperwork, which is illegal! They kept blaming it on the kitchen staff. The portions are tiny and I mean tiny, don’t go in hungry. When I tired to educated then and tell them about service dogs, they got a sour look ok their face. Not good. Seems they may be in for a lawsuit if they do it to the wrong person. Not recommended.

One of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time. My wife ordered Huevos a la Mexicana and I ordered cheese enchiladas. After a good while a small bowl of stale chips appeared. A few minutes later, a small bowl of decent salsa did too. Over half an hour after that, a chicken (not cheese) enchilada plate was served, but my wife’s order was not. There was no apology. We left much hungrier than we came.

J
Jenn W

Waitress was problematic then condescending and blamed me for getting the order incorrect. Didn’t want to eat after being insulted.

BLUF: Avoid Delfina's Kitchen due to unprofessional staff who denied restroom access to a three-year-old, directing us to a gas station instead. We recommend dining elsewhere. We planned a family lunch at Delfina’s Kitchen during our travels, hoping for a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, we were met with considerable rudeness by the restaurant staff right from the outset. Before ordering, we requested to use the restroom for our three-year-old daughter. Shockingly, the staff denied access and abruptly directed us to use facilities at a gas station across the street. This unaccommodating and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, especially for young children in need. We decided against dining at Delfina’s Kitchen due to this initial interaction and would advise others to consider different, more welcoming establishments.

I love supporting small businesses but to have this much unchewable meat in such a small plate is wild work let alone the 19$ charge. The worst Mexicon food I’ve had this year
