Mint Slingerlands Reviews
This review is for take out. My wife had the Chicken Pasta Divan Dinner for $30.00 that included chicken, broccolini, shallot, ricotta, white wine, garlic pureé, chive, aleppo (*GF). She said it was excellent. I had the Seafood Curry for $36.00 including mussels, scallops, arctic char, seasonal veg, jasmine rice. This was fabulous. Seafood was not over cooked (a common issue with take out). Curry was delicious and not too spicy. Very nice interior decor and table setting. One issue is that the online ordering via Doordash is configured to not allow special instructions.
Had a lovely lunch date with a friend today. Easily made reservations for their patio online (dogs allowed on the patio). Our waitress, Cagney, was warm and attentive. My friend had the burger and fingerling potatoes and ate it all. I had the chicken divan pasta with added mushrooms. Yum! Full disclosure, we stayed a LONG time! But as the restaurant was not busy they let us just sit and chat to our hearts desire. Will absolutely return.
This place is honestly one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is a whole vibe. The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and they have something for everyone vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, you name it. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and cook everything with care. The Filet is OUTSTANDING. It’s so hard to find farm to table in the capital region. I love that they list all the farms they use. The owner even came over and checked on us. 10/10. Will be back.
Exceptional addition to the Bethlehem area. Definitely elevated farm to table. Be daring. You will not be disappointed. Everything is home, scratch and you can taste the freshness. The food is incredibly fresh, very well thought out, larger than expected servings. Excellent variety. Excellent sides. All dishes were delicious, succulent, and popping with flavor. Nothing was too greasy or bland. They were very accommodating to allergens, offering alternatives, and attentive to fluids being refilled. Drinks were very fun, perfect blend of fresh, seasonal, not too potent. Fun names. We will be back.
We enjoyed our meal at the sister restaurant in Glen Falls so decided to eat here. The Korean mushroom vegan lettuce wraps are delicious as were the gluten free vegan beet burger and gf crab cake. There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options so something for everyone at your table to enjoy. The dimmed chandeliers and flowers create a nice ambience along with the fun wallpaper. The farm to table menu is inventive and the waitstaff are friendly. We will be back to celebrate more events here.
A Hidden Gem with Flavorful Delights This quaint spot offers a relaxing atmosphere with a classy touch. The locally sourced, organic ingredients shine in every dish—my Arctic Char was incredibly fresh, and the Strawberry Fields Forever cocktail was absolutely divine. The portions are generous, and the creative drinks are a fun addition. I even met the owner, Johanna who welcomed us immediately, the staff here are exceptional—friendly, attentive, and accommodating and Heidi made sure every guest felt welcomed. Love that amazing woman run it.!! You’ll leave not only full but genuinely satisfied with the overall experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone, and I’ll definitely be returning again and again!
This is our second time here and the menu is creative and local/regional. The craft cocktails and elixirs are amazing and the desserts are delicious. I was only able to get pictures of some of the mains because everyone tucked in to everything else so fast! Great choices that even satisfy kids!
Made a reservation here for Mother’s Day and took a chance on this new restaurant. So nice for a large-ish group. Service was great. There are small things where you can tell they are getting operations together as they open (Napkins, No desert menu, etc). However our cocktails and food were great and fresh - definitely would return.

Mint is one of two places we genuinely enjoy eating in the Capital Region. The chicken schnitzel is to die for & the crab cake is always good. I highly recommend visiting Dennis at the bar who makes excellent food AND drink recommendations. The prices are fair especially considering the food is farm-to-table, they make their own drink mixes, purees, etc. (i.e. no gross bottled sour mix, etc.) It's refined, quality dining without feeling stuffy. The ambience is welcoming. Our opportunities are limited for going out to dinner with childcare, so we never want to be disappointed after an evening out. Mint is always a great experience.
It might be the best meal ive had since working in. Albany the last 1.5 years. The beet salad was lightly and perfectly dressed. All the flavors were delicate but allowed to shine on their own. Not overpowered by the dressing. The drizzle of pistachio dukkah was welcomed accoutrement. I just cant complain! So excited I am giving a review before my entree… Cant wait for my tacos!
Don't be fooled by the for sale sign outside. Mint is there to stay and it is a gem! The old Shoprite building is for sale! Food was great and reasonably priced for lunch. 5 of us shared 4 dishes recommended for sharing. There was plenty of food. Service was excellent.
Ate here in Mid-August, with my wife. The old fashioned I had was the best I have ever had, out. The food was great, and locally sourced. Spend some time talking with our waitress, who is the daughter of the owner. Then the owner came over. Their attention to detail is evident, as is the care exhibited by the staff.
I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Every time I come here, the food is absolutely great and the staff is equally impressive. It’s hard to find farm to table restaurants. I highly recommend dining here!
This place is the real deal. Went here with my vegan friend early on a Saturday night and was blown away. We go out all the time and have never come across such incredible, fresh, unique flavors. We ate completely vegan foods (im a meat eater) and I could not be more excited that this place is just down the street from me. The cocktails were incredible, the food was incredible, the bartender was so fun to chat with, and the owner spent time speaking with us. This place is the real deal. I will be back and I will not gatekeep how wonderful of a time I had there. We had multiple cocktails (all amazing) pickle plate, Korean BBQ, the fingerling potatoes, savory board, and the panna cotta. Literally all perfection. I am so obsessed. Thank you so so so much for the best vegan meal I have ever had!
I wanted to relax with a good meal after work and this spot was PERFECT. The pasta I had was so fresh, you could taste the ripe ingredients. My server Shannon was wonderful and accommodating when I wanted to pay before finishing my meal. The owner also seems like a truly lovely person. can’t wait to come back & try the cocktails as well. Please give this place a shot it’s SO tasty
What a beautiful atmosphere and gem of a space! The staff were very friendly. The owner was kind and it’s always exciting when an owner takes pride in their business. The farm to table concept is absolutely fantastic and I will definitely be back soon to try more of their dishes.

I went for lunch and sat outside and it was beautiful. Service was exceptional and the food was delicious! I am gluten free and was offered a lot of options. I had a fabulous giant crab cake and salad, it was delicious! Highly recommend!!!
Finally a restaurant near Albany whose first focus is on food quality. Yes, the decor and ambience are also great, but too many newer places are too focused on the decor aspect and the food suffers. Veggie-forward (plenty of meat and seafood choices, don’t get me wrong), local farms, great with allergies. Even my husband and kids were impressed. This is the restaurant we needed in Albany!!!!!

The food was very good but not exceptional. Most people will find it excellent and it was. The Savory Board, in my opinion, had too much oil on the bread, keeping you from being able to fully enjoy the toppings. My Chicken Pasta was also good but, in my opinion, had too much chicken. Every bite had chicken. I was really wanting to enjoy the taste of the pasta but the chicken was too much to do so. They also only had two dessert offerings and were already sold out of the main dessert and we had a 6pm reservation. I would go again, and I look forward to trying the other menu items. I just felt the food could have been paired better to match the atmosphere and price point.
It was a nice dining experience. We had lunch here and the crab cakes were delicious. The bread it arrived on accompanied by the sauce was amazing. Cocktails were delicious too. The ambiance is formal with white table cloths and a calm atmosphere. The staff were nice too. The locally and organically sourced food was admirable and a nice touch for those interested in eating locally, but it does bump up the price compared to normal lunch dining.

The food was ok but one employee (I think she said she was the owner?) was really intense. Hovered around our table for way too long and was really off putting. Other than that the place is fine
For our 2nd visit to this restaurant I made a reservation and noted both a nut and gluten allergy in the reservation. After our first visit I had asked about nut allergies and was told they could accommodate it. When we arrived for the 2nd dinner I notified the hostess and server upon seating of the 2 allergies and indicated we wouldn’t want items with nuts and the need for gluten free bread, pasta, crackers. The waitress said she would ensure that the food was safe. When our appetizer was delivered the server explained the items as he placed them. At which point he indicated that one of the pates had crushed nuts. We were surprised and asked him to take it away. Our waitress returned and we inquired as to why she hadn’t told us that the appetizer had hidden nuts. She asked if the kitchen had told us about the nuts. We said yes, thankfully he told us. If he hadn’t it could have been deadly for our guest. We asked why she didn’t tell us that the appetizer had hidden nuts. We wouldn’t have ordered that item. She didn’t seem to understand. She just kept saying that the kitchen told us when he delivered it. Even though we explained our food allergy and desire to order only safe food, she didn’t seem to understand that we wouldn’t have ordered the item if we knew it had nuts. We got lucky that the person who delivered the food explained what each item was. Unfortunately, we won’t return because we’re not confident they understand the potential danger to people with severe allergies. The menu should have highlighted the hidden nuts in the item we ordered and the waitress should have told us there were ground nuts in the ingredients.

Went with my wife last Wednesday. Hostess and servers were very nice. Food however was overpriced and not that good at all. I got the pickle plate which was highly disappointing, due to the lack of quantity of the portions. My burger was cold by the time it had arrived and the potato wedges were undercooked. Not to mention, the managers kept coming over to the tables nonstop to have conversations.
