I have traveled much of the world and have never seen a Martini menu like the one at Bay Street. Check it out!
Small intimate place with delicious food. It's not cheap but worth every cent. I would highly recommend it.
Great Martinis and atmosphere. Food truck outside is nice for less expensive food choices
The food here is always excellent. The staff is always attentive and excellent at what they do
Wonderful wait staff. Excellent food. A treat for new years.

We're from Rochester and after one visit we'll be here once month from now on. This place is that good, hands down notches above everywhere else around here.
Had a wonderful seafood dish and a great Martini. Bay Street is better than ever!
Always a great time here!! They have the best martinis around hands down. Great food inside and a food truck outside serving awesome food after hours all summer long!!!

Great food and great people. Recommend if you are going out for an adult evening looking for a classy dinner. Alot of great meat and seafood dinner entre options. Highly recommend for a special occasion dinner.
Unique! Great atmosphere, an amazing martini menu and the food is outstanding! I recommend the petite filet mignon
Just a uniquely fine restaurant. Limited seating and limited menu but I've never had a meal that wasn't delicious.
Amazing meal and drinks. The Bay Street doesn’t disappoint! Love the new roast garlic add-on, definitely get it!
Wonderful place to enjoy martinis. Had the raspberry truffle and shamrock mint and they were fantastic. Family favorite.
The most extensive list and best made cocktail around. Steaks and seafood dishes are top notch, too.
Best small fine dinning establishment in Wane county! Great food and great martinis. Over 100 different flavors of martinis.
Phenominal meal, Ribeye cut with fork, scallops and shrimp were huge, and so many choices of martinis! Must try
Great food and drink. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A must if you visit Sodus Point. A diamond in the ruff.
We had a great night out with delicious food and drinks!
A hidden gem of a restaurant, some of the best gourmet food, prepared by a chef who obviously loves what he does, and the bar is always good for a big martini, side car is always good, wait staff is fabulous,
Awesome place! Amazing food, amazing 🍸! Owners are great people! Highly highly recommend.
Stopped with family for martinis. Interesting place. Old, eccentric. But felt comfortable. Throw back to 50s or 60s.
Awesome, awesome place. Dinner was everything I would have hoped it would be and the martini menu is top notch!
Love this place always hot flavors are incredible. Always one of my
As always..food was delicious service excellent. A bit noisy but I think that was our party of eleven.!!
The Oreo Martini was the perfect start to an outstanding meal. Would definitely go again.
Food is always amazing! Wasn't the restaurants fault but there were just really loud guests there that night. But in the past it os a romantic place to eat with amazing food!! Oh btw Martini capital of NYS
Always outstanding. Bay Street is a guaranteed great experience, not just a meal. You start with an extensive offering of martinis and Manhattans complimented by a remarkable wine list. The appetizers and entrées are far from the "bar and grill" offerings available elsewhere in the area. Everything is fresh and prepared to order. Intertwined with the food is truly professional service. Of course such an experience is not cheap, but it is worth every penny, especially when you have something to really celebrate. Make your reservation early so their availability can match your schedule.
Excellent food and very attentive wait staff. Had a family get together there and enjoyed the entire experience. Martini Bar has some unusual fare and goes well with the relaxed atmosphere and great staff.
Great experience. Highly recommend going here for a fine dinner or just drinks. Food and drinks are top notch, service was outstanding. The cleanliness was a shock... I always have to clean my silverware at every place I have ever dined, not here silverware was spotless. I tip my hat to the owners for an excellent experience.
We started out by choosing a martini! A little difficult since there are so many to choose from, but I love choices! Also the bartenders are very nice and willing to help you find your right martini match! The martinis are strong and so delicious! Then we were seated for dinner, we started with oysters Tiffany and they were AMAZING! The seasoning on the perfectly fried oysters was a mouthful of ocean heaven and then the mornay sauce on top just put them over the edge! I had the special of Chilean sea bass with a cheese soufflé sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked and huge! Give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!
My favorite place to go for dinner and drinks when I am at sodus point. They have a great martini menu and I’ve never had a bad meal there. It is casual dining so the clientele a more mature class of people which makes it an enjoyable atmosphere.
The owners and staff are very friendly and the food is great as well as consistent. They have a large selection of Martini's to meet anyone's taste. If you haven't been there it's worth the trip and if you have been there, then you will be back.
The drinks are to DIE for. Pages and pages of delicious cocktails on the menu. If it's in season check out the Back Alley Grill sushi food truck while you're there. Life changing sushi. Absolutely order the sushi garbage plate.
Ladies love the Martinis at the Bay Street, they have a menu just for them! ( The chocolate one is a fan favorite). After a day of playing on the water, the Bay Street is one of several off the water/walking distance destinations for food and drinks with friends. You can get a great burger there but their chef's prepare a menu with specialty items that are a cut above the rest. Limited tables so make reservations early.
Great food. Amazing drinks. And an amazing staff really make this spot a gem. And the cherry on top, is the absolutely beautiful décor. Absolutely worth a visit during your stay in town.
Was so surprised by the insides. It was a fun Key West style bar with a a great selection of cocktails. Really serious mixology. I didn't dine but the menu looked great. Seriously was not expecting a tropical paradise inside, it looks like a country barn bar outside.
Fine dining with a Key West/ Caribbean flair, paired with the finest cocktails you can imagine, and served up in a warm and welcoming atmosphere by the best chefs, wait staff, and mixologsts you could ask for. One of the happiest places you'll ever visit.
The bar area was very busy when we arrived with several friends. The 2 bartenders were looking at something in their cell phones for at least 5 minutes, which was frustrating. They apologized after they realized people had been waiting for drinks. After that they were very good. They are known for their Martinis
The owners and staff are amazing. Great fresh food, superb service and friendliest staff I've ever experienced. I feel like a queen every time I frequent this establishment! Thank you For the best time out everything !!
A wonderful place. A gem we've somehow missed. When you want a special night out, this is the place.
We want to thank everyone at Bay Street for an awesome dinner experience. The food & service, as always, were impeccable. Thank you all for making us feel like family whenever we're there.
Very cool spot. Seems many patrons are regs... (Norm!) old hotel turned into The Bay Street restaurant. We were there for drinks... 73 different types of martinis. I prefer bourbon so I had a Frank the Tank. They offer what I would call dessert drinks... mixed with ice cream, caramel, shaved chocolate...I guess anything you can think of really...
We were hesitant at first to try this place because it had the odor of an ozonator running, however the drinks and food are absolutely top notch! Seafood Newby and Lobster mac and cheese were wonderful! Oysters on the halfshell were fantastic!
Sat at the bar for drinks and apps. Healthy pours on wine!! King crab leg to die for and priced accordingly .... priceless when your lovely enjoys it soo much. Followed up with lobster Mac & cheese ... real lobster and plenty of it and superb Mac. Thanks to two of the best bar keeps - Robbie and Lindsey
Food, drinks and service are always great! We go up every year and this is always our Friday night dinner spot.
Went to dinner at one of our favorite places and celebrated my father in laws bday. Every dish was amazing! My swordfish was awesome! My husband and father in law got the filet which was cooked to perfection! Deannie sent a carrot cake out for bday and it was hands down the best carrot cake I’ve EVER had (with candied carrots on top!). LOVE this place!!!!
This is must go to restaurant if you're near Sodus Point. The martini menu is the biggest you will find anywhere. The food is out of this world. The atmosphere is fantastic and everyone who works there is extremely friendly. I cannot recommend Bay Street enough!! Do yourself a favor and go! You will NOT be disappointed!
How can you NOT go to a place that has a menu of 200-plus martinis?? Architecture is historic, nice bar area to sit while you wait for dinner. Meal was fabulous, steak was sooooo tender. Staff was friendly, went over specials a few times and made suggestions, answering any questions we had. Would def go again when back in Sodus.
Julie was our server and her professional yet personal demeanor added to the overall perfect evening for our anniversary celebration. The owner made a personal connection by checking on our overall experience. You will have a memory that lasts forever when dining there. I give The Bay Street my highest recommendation.
I had a very nice dining experience at The Bay Street! It was a higher end meal but one I felt comfortable eating in jeans. It is best to make a reservation. I was seated in the bar area without one but ordered from the dining room menu. They didn't forget about me though! They were friendly and attentive. I felt comfortable dining alone. No one wore a mask, employees or patrons, so that does not appear to be required for dining here. I ordered a pasta dish, Michael Stewart's Square One Key West, with green, red and yellow peppers, spicy sausage, maybe Andouille, chicken, zucchini, spinach, enormous shrimp and scallops. It came with a side salad and bread. The bar was active and I understand the drinks are great. Of course this recommendation came from the barkeep, so it may be slightly prejudiced. I missed the Naples Grape festival, so I thought I'd better order a grape pie to go! If it is anything like the dinner, I don't think my high expectations will be disappointed!
We love to eat at Bay Street. This restaurant consistently gives a wonderful experience. The food is absolutely excellent and the martini’s are so fun! They have a different menu to choose from and the choices are all delicious. One of my favorites is the Sea Bass and my husband loves the Stuffed pork chop. My adult children from out of state request a dinner at Bay Street every time they come home to visit. It makes a special treat for all!!
Good food and many kinds of martinis. Expensive for the area.
Nice bar at the point for cocktails.
Great food but portion are huge. Should offer half portion even for 75% of the price....
Went for drinks...fun place and staff pretty friendly.
Cool place, especially cocktails, a little on the pricey side but delicious. Food is good and a little pricey as well, but worth it nonetheless.
We book a special dinner here every year to celbrate two birthdays. Last year, when we showed up at our resrved time, we were told they did not have our reservation (made over a week earlier) and refused to seat us. This year, only because the two birthday girls insisted, I tried to reserve a table again. I have been calling for several days at all reasonable hours and no one picks up the phone. To say their service sucks is an understatement...they simply have no service.
Per my sister in law the lobster Mac and cheese is the best she has ever had!! Martinis were good as well! Love the side car for dirty martini which was delicious!!
We had alot of fun at their Mardi gras party! Food was great but very expensive! A steak at a bar/restaurant should not have the same price tag as one from a steak house when they aren't as delicious.
First time to this establishment. Very pricey menu. Portions were relatively small. Food was decent but not spectacular. Service was attentive and friendly. Decor was awful. Drink menu and drinks were excellent however.
Food was good though a bit overpriced. Noise from the bar dispelled the illusion of ambiance. Wait staff was attentive and courteous.
Very hectic, but exceedingly pricey, ie: $40 for an entree. Martinis are their specialty☺️
My husband and I had dinner on 11/10/22. Our server was Julie and she did a good job. My seafood was delicious, but my husband's steak dinner was lukewarm. Unfortunately, the owner was not willing to honor a gift card we had for $100 because she said that it had expired. She did pay for a round of drinks, but I felt that she was quite dismissive about our disappointment. I believe that NYS law does not allow for expired gift certificates, and I will be contacting the owner.
I can't comment on atmosphere or food because I haven't been there. Reason being I like to review menu before going for first time and they don't have one online. I sent message to them and they said it is on FB under photos. Seriously. I have to look through almost 1200 pictures to find your menu. I guess if you are too lazy to post menu, then how good can food or service be.
we miss the old Bay Street. the eclectic decor is the same, the martini book is still there but the atmosphere and the spirit is gone. What a shame. We used to get served fresh, warm homemade bread, and banana bread. The food was real creole, spicy. The fried oysters were to die for. It used to be very special.
Food is excellent. Ask what the specials cost before ordering. One of ours was $103! Oh and you might wanna go with a lot of cash as the charge 4% credit card! Highest I've ever seen. To me that's ridiculous as they are making money. No business pays that high of a fee.
4 of us visited for the 1st time Friday at 5:30. We had the crab cake appetizers, the full filet, Bay Street Shrimp, stuffed pork chop, and lobster mac and cheese. I would go back for the crab cakes. They were fantastic! The filet was perfect, and the bay street shrimp and pork chop stuffed with mozzarella and basil were very good. I loved the mashed potatoes. The lobster mac and cheese was a disappointment. The noodles were soggy and had a bit too much salt. The restaurant was dated and could use some decor updates, plus it has accessibility issues (for the blind) . Low plants on deck walking to the door, uneven flooring, The wait staff seemed ambivalent to their customers. Prices were very high but the food that was good was very good!
We winter in Austin and spend summers in upstate NY. In the past, the Bay Street has been the best restaurant in the area...expensive, but quality food. Tonight, however (June 2017) the experience was terrible. We had early reservations (6:15) so no excuse for "skimpy" servings. We had a party of six...five ordered the seafood and Andouille sausage over pasta and one ordered the filet (which was fine). The entrees were in the neighborhood of $31. Now, $31 should get you more than TWO (yes, TWO and they were medium in size, NOT large) TOUGH shrimp. Tasted like they had been boiled and re-boiled over and over again. In addition to our two shrimp, we each got ONE small-to-medium size scallop sliced in half. We got a few pieces of chicken and a few pieces of sausage. Typically with a pasta dish, you can't eat it all and ask for for doggies bag. None needed...so little pasta in the bowl that none of us left a single strand. Meal was so poor for that price (it would have been 'acceptable' for $16, but certainly not $31) that I will not go back after frequenting it for 20 years.
This was once a popular place with raving reviews! Not anymore. Although our server was very nice, she was extremely limited because of all the “rules “ . one of the specials was a rib eye steak. When she got around the table, I wanted to order one too. But the rule is, only 2 steak orders per table. There are no substitutions, absolutely no splitting the check for more than 6 people. I ordered the shrimp and scallops over angel hair pasta. It was $45.00. Only 2 shrimp and a little bit of scallops. We each spent $90.00 !
We were in there earlier today and ordered one of the specialty martinis that included ice cream. We had been there before and drove a half hour to have this particular drink. The young bartender gave us the drink without the ice cream. She mumbled that it would come later. How does one serve a drink with ingredients missing? The bartender was very rude about it. When she got the ice cream about 10 minutes later she then through the little spoon in the drink. I would not go back to this place because of the service. The owner or manager did come by but offered nothing but That it had been a bad start to the evening. I would have expected a more professional bartender in this type of place.
The restaurant is way overpriced for the quality of food and decor. Our server was beyond rude and rolled her eyes at points. We left our vehicle parked In their lot and walked to a nearby bar after dinner which is when their server stated "I hope you enjoyed the free parking." I will never return.
Very disappointing. Heard good things thought would have drinks and dinner. Bartender complained nonstop from the time we walked in and made us feel so unwelcome we left without ordering anything. Maybe she had a bad day, maybe they only like locals, but in either case we won’t be going back
My boyfriend and I decided to try this place for dinner because it was the only place in Sodus Point that was open. It was a Sunday afternoon at around 4:30 pm. We entered the bar area and had no idea whether to seat ourselves or not. No one greeted us. We waited a few minutes and eventually made our way to the back of the building where the restaurant is. Again, no one greeted us. We needed to seek someone out to ask if we could get a meal. The woman whom we addressed seemed frazzled and was quite frankly, very abrasive. She told us we could eat a light faire in the bar but to sit at a 2-top instead of the 4-top we asked for, because they were the only restaurant open and we're expecting a lot of people coming for dinner. Not our problem. So we sat at the 2-top and stared at the clutter on the walls in the bar. The bar had a Mardi Gras/Margaritaville theme and covered with knick knacks and chotchskies. The dining room looked nice, but I felt discouraged from eating there by the abrasive woman we spoke with. We sat in the bar for about 15 minutes, and we were never acknowledged, so we left. We will not be returning.
Order two take out dinners. They were ready on time and delicious. Unfortunately when I walked in the bartender had her face mask down talking to two people side by side at the bar.. the bartender pulled up her face mask when she saw me It was another man sitting down at the bar at the end with no face covering. Signs seem to imply a ideological tilt. I hope this is received as constructive criticism
Walked in last Saturday. No greeter/seater. Sat at table for over 20 minutes with no service. Went up to ask if dining room was open and was informed dining room was fully booked for the evening and would I like to see a menu. If you aren’t going to serve us why do I need a menu? I have never been treated like this by people, two women, with such eye rolling snooty attitudes. They were downright nasty. Was it my attire(jeans and t-shirt)? The staff definitely need some remedial training in customer service and common courtesy. And I have to question the overall cleanliness.
This has to be the most overrated and underwhelming dinner experience we’ve had in years. Most entrees averaged $45-$50 dollars when at best they should have been $30 anywhere else. $15 for a martini might be fine in a high-end restaurant that has massive overheads (say a downtown location) but not in a ramshackle but quaint shed style bar. Then there’s the ‘no substitutions’ on meals. Don’t like corn mash with your meal? Well you’re out of luck because ‘chef’ says that’s what you’re getting buddy. And his highness the chef won’t cook more than two steaks per table… yeah he’s that special! And the kicker? The ‘gratuity added for parties of six’ part. FYI Bay Street, that added compulsory gratuity is typically set at 18 per cent. If the service is great we can then add extra. In this case the service was way below par. The added gratuity at this place is 25 per cent. That’s $125 added onto an already massively overpriced $500 dinner. Avoid this place, unless you have money to throw away.
I went there to get a Martini which they're known for supposedly. martinis are supposed to be stirred not shaken , but she shook mine and then strained it with a dirty cup she got off the counter it was watery overpriced and the atmosphere was not friendly at all will never ever go back there
Service was great. Food and experience not as good as in the past. Did they sell the place? I raved to our party about the food and the house made bread that I remembered so fondly, but was seriously disappointed to find store bought Italian. The butter was great though. The potatoes and corn were on the cold side of luke warm and tasted like reheated leftovers, which would explain the temperature, was not the best experience for $80 per entree. The oysters on the half shell were wonderful, but raw oysters kind of make themselves and are hard to mess up. Dinner for three with drinks and shared appetizer $450. Oh, and the bs $15 'maintenace fee' added to our bill means we are never going back.
