Shamà Cafè Sondrio Reviews
In posizione comoda, tra stazione dei treni e stazione autobus. Aperto dal mattino serve la colazione con prodotti tipici da forno e caffetteria. Ottimo lavoro aperitivo serale.
Good morning, I frequent this place often and am always greeted by knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful staff. They make excellent coffee and the products are top-quality, from croissants to sandwiches and piadinas, all of which are filled to perfection. It's a great place for a quick break or to spend time with friends and family in a relaxed atmosphere. It's also very convenient to park in the Campus parking lot, right in front of the bar. In short, it's a place for everyone, and I highly recommend it.
A very charming and well-kept place with an outdoor veranda. Very professional and courteous staff. Excellent breakfasts, and a varied selection of carefully prepared sandwiches and piadinas for lunch. Also highly recommended for an aperitif with generous appetizers.
Best staff!!! But princesa bit higher than average
Il locale interno è molto spazioso e luminoso. All'esterno su due lati ci sono diversi tavolini. Posso consigliare le brioche e il cappuccino. Personale svelto e cordiale.
I liked the service, especially Samir, who was nice and very kind. A casual place where you can also find passion fruit spritz.
A young bar popular with students, where you can grab a quick and affordable sandwich. Excellent for an aperitivo, which is always accompanied by various appetizers.
Shamà, even though it's no longer called that. It's overrun by hordes of students at lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The staff is friendly, they know everyone, they're "gods," but they have the professionalism of a city bar. The dishes represent typical bar cuisine, offering a quick, clean, and tasty lunch. There are also healthy salads, in addition to the typical, expertly prepared sandwiches. Price is reasonable. Designer chairs.
A café near the campus and the bus and train station. It has an outdoor seating area and a smaller but comfortable interior. Excellent breakfast bar. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that they ran out of regular croissants by 10:00 AM; it wasn't the first time this had happened to me. Although they did offer alternatives, such as muffins with various fillings and cookies.
Nice place to be, great breakfast and kind personnel
A beautiful and welcoming place, a bit crowded in the morning. They could use more waiters, both at the tables and at the counter, to speed up service. They readily accept debit and credit cards. The coffee is very good, especially the cappuccino. The desserts are also delicious. Perfect for breakfast or a drink with friends.
I've always come here in the morning, but unfortunately, I can only express disappointment. The service is terrible: every time I've ordered, I've been met with an annoyed and arrogant waitress, who huffed and puffed as she took my order and threw my coffee on the table, spilling it out of the cup. The pastries are practically empty, truly unsatisfactory. It's a shame, because the location is convenient, and I fondly remember the lady who used to work at the cash register, always kind and welcoming.
My friends ordered a Spritz afterward, and they asked for appetizers, but they never arrived. High price for nothing. Since I can't respond to the owner's request, I'm doing so by editing my review: "It was a weekend ago, but I prefer not to tell you the time: the guys/girls are just doing their job."
A bar with great potential, but recently it's been a bit run down. The wait times are incredibly long, the coffee quality has significantly declined compared to the past, and if you order a drink (beer or wine) before 5 pm, they don't even bring you chips... And yes, aperitivo starts after that.
Terrible service. I waited at the outside tables for over half an hour. Then, seeing that the waiters were looking at me but didn't come to take my order, I had to go inside and order my aperitif. The waitress arrived looking annoyed and brought me my aperitif without anything to nibble on. So I asked her, "Could you bring me something to nibble on, please?" I waited another quarter of an hour, had to get up and go back to order at the counter. After 20 minutes, I received just two olives. The blonde waitress is rude, arrogant, opinionated, and pissed off. She'd better change her job because she doesn't know how to relate to customers. In a bar in Milan, she would have definitely lasted an hour. I wonder how the owner of this bar can employ such incompetent and unqualified staff, bordering on self-service. I wonder on what basis they hire certain staff. This bar will surely be doomed to close if it employs such shoddy and shameful staff.
Clean and informal atmosphere. I've never had such a terrible coffee. I ordered it at the counter and it arrived cold, costing €1.20. I don't recommend it!
What a miserable experience! When we arrive, we sit outside and ask for a menu: there isn't one! The waiter consults with the bartender and confirms that there isn't a menu! Wonderful! Also because displaying prices is required by law... We decide to order a spritz and a gin and tonic, thinking that any bar on earth would know how to do that. The waiter tells us they have so many variations of gin and tonics and spritzes..... I smile and point out that precisely because they have so many variations, a menu is needed! 😂😂😂😂 He tells me he can make a gin and tonic with a gin fizz....as if a gin fizz were a type of gin.... They bring us a gin and tonic and a spritz, and four pieces of hardened, cold focaccia. We enjoy our masterpieces, pay €15, leave, and cross another Sondrio establishment off our list of acceptable venues... I have the solution for you: remove the words "bar" or "café" from the name and sign and add "...we'll try...". You'll help lower the expectations of potential customers!
The staff is really full of themselves, it almost seems like you're bothering them. If you order an aperitif, don't expect anything else... no, no, there's no question of getting two chips or anything else... but you do pay for an aperitif, indeed. Terrible choice.
