El Coyote Sonoma Reviews
We love the fish tacos whenever we are in Sonoma.
My boyfriend and I stop by this truck whenever we are in the Sonoma area, it is always so delicious and so fresh. The service is great and you can always count on a quality meal, especially if you order the tacos!
Best food from a food truck I've ever had. Coyote Burgers and Carnitas burritos with everything are to die for. They brown the tortillas, and having eaten there at least 100 times, the food is consistent and excellent. I dont write reviews, but this hard working family deserves recognition. They speak English too.
Price, quality, service and speed can't be beat! Need something to grab and go? This is the place! Call or text your order in advance if you can't be bothered to wait 5-10min. The staff here has great service and is always smiling.
This was my second time stopping by El Coyote while passing through Sonoma and just like the first time, I was blown away with the quality of their food. My girlfriend and I ordered 3 Carnitas tacos and 2 chicken tacos. Steam rolled out of the tin foil cover as we both opened our food and everything tastes so fresh. 10/10, I would highly recommend their tacos.
Yelp reviews led us to book El Coyote taco truck come to our hotel Sunday morning after our wedding for much needed breakfast burritos, tacos, nachos, hotdogs for the kids and so much other amazing food! We booked without having tried their food and we lucked it. All my guests loved it. We were quoted for 50-75 people and about 90-100 people showed clearing out their food inventory! Jose and his wife are very nice and even brought us many gallons of horchata for our guests. You get complimentary chips and drinks and full size menu. Don't expect a signed contract, they work by phone.
Delicious! Best tacos in town. 10/10 recommend
Enjoyed a fast, easy Mexican takeout food. Great price and probably better than what I would have had at a sit down restaurant. Conveniently located. Delicious tacos.
Very beautiful truck in a beautiful setting. Beautiful food and nice attitudes. :) I had my first then 2nd 3rd fish taco here. Muy bien.
First time going, and I was impressed. Food was packed full of flavor and worth what you pay, I got a breakfast burrito with chorizo and there was plenty of it, good portion size. Would go again
I got the taco salad with cabeza (beef cheeks). The meat was so tasty! Salsa was delicious as well. Service was quick and it was nice that they gave you a buzzer so you could sit in your car while you waited.
I have been going here regularly since I moved to Sonoma one year ago. It is the most inexpensive food in Sonoma. However, it is not just affordable, it is excellent Mexican food. I love the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos. Also, I love the super steak and chicken burritos. Giant, delicious, and inexpensive. The people who work there are very kind and professional as well.
I'm from so cal, I average 2+ burritos a week for years now and I have to say this burrito was freaking awesome. One of the best I've had for sure. One of those kind of fresh and crisp burritos, not to heavy, the tortilla was crisp all around and amazing, and guac included for $8.50. Its also family owned and the guys hooked me up and were super friendly!
From the delicious food to the friendly service, this place is now our go-to when we’re in Sonoma. Seriously amazing - it looks like a simple spot, but the explosion of flavor is really something special.
They have a couple of picnic tables under umbrellas. Decent food- I'd eat there again
One of the best taco trucks I've found in Sonoma County. The breakfast burrito is probably my favorite. Prices are extremely reasonable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We recently went all plant based, and when looking for a good veggie burrito, found El Coyote. GO! I can only vouch for the veg burrito but oh how satisfying..of course it's a truck so you probably won't want to sit on the side of the road...though why not, the food is good 😊
Stopped in for a meal to take away and eat at home. Wanted something quick yet tasty, drove by and pulled in. We caught them just before closing time, and El Coyote hooked it up! They recommended food, loaded is up and we had a great meal to pair with our wines we smashed from the vineyard! The burrito was huge, the nachos were Cali influenced, and the fish tacos were on point. Would not hesitate if your looking for a quick bite, and their prices beat the going restaurant rates, good meal to take home!
I'm finding more and more that these small food trucks have great food. The same quality you will find in a fancy restaurant but without the high price or fancy dining. I went with the chicken quesadilla and it was great. Friends went with tacos and a burrito and they also loved it. Stop here for a quick bite to go or stay and eat and the tables they have next to the truck.
Been coming here every time we’re in the area and it never fails. El Coy rocks. Great people, honest service and yummy food! Best value in town.
The best food truck food in town. The tacos I had were tasty. El Coyote has become a foodie spot that locals and visitors enjoy. One of the best places for take out. Next time I go to El Coyote, I’m going to try the burrito.
Amazon driver here. This place was super good and the owner is SO SWEET if you love authentic and want to support your locals. THIS is the place to go thank you sweet sir!
Stopped by for late lunch after tour and tasting. The summer burrito was excellent! Very friendly service and quality ingredients. Would eat here again and again and again if I was a local.
I hired El Coyote for a private event and it was fantastic. The food was fresh (mango salsa!!), coordinating was simple (over text and phone) and the team (Jose, Angelica, Eduardo, Bertha) were all extremely friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this truck for private events. Really adds a fun element !
Delicious tacos. Chips were good. Reasonable prices. Outside tables.
The food is ok but the skatepark in the back is soooo nice. Especially for beginners like me. The coping is so smooth and the transitions are built very well
Some of the best tacos I've had in many years! Loved the radishes
Good food and friendly service! I would definitely stop here again when in town.

Stopped by for lunch and got an asada burrito and horchata. Service was fast and polite, 5 stars all the way. Burrito was fantastic, flavors were excellent. What stood out for me was the horchata. Very good and refreshing on a 100°+ day. Will definitely be stopping by more often.
We had El Coyote for a casual dinner the night before our wedding for about 30 guests. They arrived on time, had a really extensive menu, food was fresh and delish, and price was very fair. Would recommend them again for sure!
Was told they had the best tacos. Yes, they have the best. Very flavorful and generous. Very friendly and will be going back again and telling my friends.
I Drive by this place every day while working . First time stopping here. Extra large burrito is as big as my arm, got carne asada today. And it was Delicious. I will be back
Friends and I got a variety of foods here, including the nachos (which they liked), the veggie burrito (they liked), the bacon hot dog (they LOVED), and I got an XL al pastor burrito, which I liked a lot, and which tasted a lot like al pastor to me. I guess I came on a good day. Service was very friendly. There was a bit of seating, but not a whole lot since it's a food truck. The jalapeno was okay (maybe tasted a bit old), but the salsa was really good. For me, a guy who doesn't eat a TON, the XL burrito was more than enough to fill me up for the day, with extras to eat on the next day. I hope I'm in the area again so I can come back. If I went to high school in the area I'd probably have come here way too often... Not too much parking nearby btw. Either street parking, or do something at another establishment and eat here.

I get burritos here about two or three times a month when I'm visiting friends in Sonoma. Not the best I've ever had but pretty solid. Chips are extra.
Massive burrito but needs a little bit less mush. Avocado was so mushy, must have been the bagged avocado. There was some mushy cheese, beans, meat, rice. I’d eat there again but would try the chicken or steak. I had the beef cheek which was good. As others say, a bit less mushy would be good. Real lettuce or something.Flat taste
This is a nice little truck that was parked not too far from Train Town, and was the perfect place for our group to get lunch after a fun morning at the park. I had the asada burrito, which had fresh ingredients and a tasty salsa, but the meat was just a little overdone for my taste (some bits were even crunchy). No one else in my group seemed to have the same problem. The price was typical of most taco trucks, which is to say, pretty good.
We each got different burritos (family of 5). All were good. There is one shaded table at mid day, which we were able to get. They serve a variety of salsas. What separates El Coyote from ordinary food trucks is their use of zucchini which they saute lightly and sprinkle about
Great local food truck that serves up hot and tasty burritos for a reasonable price. They have sodas and an assortment of chips too. The burritos are medium sized and served in tinfoil.
Great food ...a bit expensive, but great quality and quantity. The servers were very nice as well.

Way overpriced but decent food
Was a huge fan of their carnitas burrito for more than two years, bragged on them to everyone! Sadly, visit today was disappointing. Prepared carnitas used to be touched up crispy-grilled and flavorful, burrito elements were so flavorful and texturally distinct and yummy -- and now, nada. Just the same ol' mushed up carnitas burrito I can get anywhere. They still grill the outside of the finished burrito (nice touch!), but that's the only similarity to my wonderful memories of their high-class touch on this classic. :(
The food was ok, great service, quick to prep your order, i recommend their al pastor meat, the asada and chorizo was neutral, I ate 3 tacos and a burrito, the pastor taco was good, the beans were excellent on the burrito. I am giving a 3 star because the meats i tasted was not up to my quality, but it still is better than other mexican food restaurants in sonoma county and napa county. Also i feel its not fair that i am comparing them to Los Angeles tacos or tijuana, so comparing them to local mexican food restaurants or loncheras, they are above average. Give them a try.
Disappointing vegetarian burrito. Mushy, lacks flavor and salsa/guacamole tasted meh. No vegetables either. I could make a MUCH better one at home and I would add more spices, seasoning and cilantro to give it some flavor. Perhaps a little lime juice too. Won't be going back. If your burrito isn't good, then nothing is good. To my mind.

The food is pretty solid but they can’t get an order right to save their life. Check your order before you leave. I have eaten here like 4 times and every time the order has been incorrect
Worst burrito I've ever had. Beef was chopped so fine and there was so little of it you couldn't even taste it. Guacamole. I didn't see or taste it. Melted cheese? nope. Yes it was large. But some places think that that's all that matters. It isn't! These places need to take a ride to San Francisco and check out places like La Taqueria or El Cumbre and see what a delicious burrito can be. El Coyote has pretty good tacos but burritos....ugh!
Way overpriced for a mediocre and cheap product. Ordered 3 burritos, small nachos, and 2 mahi tacos for the family.. total was $53. To make matters worse, by the time I got home the burritos were soggy. 😭 Definitely won't be going back.
I ordered a shrimp burrito and it was as if I ordered an onion burrito. It wasn't until halfway through the burrito did I finally found shrimp. So. Many. Onions. It was pretty gross and I will not go there again. Do not recommend.
Had a chorizo and egg burrito my first time there. Was not impressed. They cooked the chorizo and egg separately and then put it in the burrito. Sad! Mistakenly, I went there a second time the following weekend. Ordered a regular al Pastor burrito that tasted nothing like al Pastor. Sour tasting burrito. Never again! Terrible food!
