Kostas did a great job in his attentiveness and care for providing good service. He made sure he told the bartender our drinks right away, ordered our food from the kitchen and brought everything to us right away. It is important that people actually do thier jobs and Kostas is a valuable member of your team. He has the capacity for management and will hold down the fort for you.
Great pub grub type of place. I hear the alcohol is awesome here... But I don't drink, so don't have much of my own opinion on that. Service is quick, food is a plenty, cost is... About average for a bar...
Crafty Coyote is a gem for beer lovers! They have a fantastic selection of local and craft brews And great patio. Highly recommended!
Ordered the chicken and avocado salad. It was very hearty and tasty. Incredible deal for the price. Staff was chill and friendly. Definitely recommend. Open and serving food late night.
Solid bar overall. The beer selection is pretty extensive and the food is good. Its my go to pre-concert bar when im at Lees palace.
Fully recommend the Impossible Burger. They make it quite tasty, much better than your usual Toronto pub vegan option. Amazing selection of beers and ciders. Will definitely come back more often
Great little spot with an amazing selection of beers. Typical bar food with great service. Highly recommended.
If you’re looking for a nice place with a patio, wide selection of beers, good quality of food and friendly staff this is the place to go! Definitely recommend!
Great food. Not regular pub food. It’s actually grilled and fresh
What a wonderdul place! We had a pleasure to be served by the best waiter in town - Alex - who was super fast, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and patient. He made us feel like really valued customers. An impressive beer list and very delicious (and affordable) food. Patio has a solid roof, so it is comfortable and dry even on rainy evenings. Good vibes, I really recommend.
Crafty is a great bar to come with friends and watch sports, or to have a first date. It’s a place where everyone has fun and their beer selection is awesome. I promise you would not regret coming here.
Went to meet up here with a few friends. Not too busy and the atmosphere was warm and friendly, grabbed a couple beers/ ciders from their wide selection (one of the best selections I’ve seen in Toronto) as well as some food including the tacos (great size for the price), beyond burger with fries, and poutine. All are great portions for low prices while being super tasty!
I was so happy we picked this place with my friend,,,we enjoyed the food and drinks. large portions
Cobb salad so bus i had to cop it once I arrived back to Canada, kitchen open late too love u crafty coyotes
Great environment, good music! Very good cocktails and beers selection are out of this world! Food is very good, and on top of everything, attention is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! The waiter was friendly, fast and efficient! The food was served promptly. My only complaint is that the patty of the veggie burger was too dry and not very good, but that's the label they are using, other than that it was very very good! My partner's dish was amazing!!
I absolutely loved this bar. It had a very fun yet comfortable atmosphere and the service was lovely. The menu had a lot of amazing options for food and beverages. The ones we tired were The Farmer Burger, the Chef’s Club Sandwich, Crafty Nachos and they were all incredible!! I totally recommend this place!!
I was served by Ana during a euro cup match and she was extremely attentive and very friendly. This place has a great selection of beer and one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. Great atmosphere and will definitely come back.
Big selection of craft beer. Cozy environment. Fun time
This was one of my favourites bars in Toronto. The service was impeccable and so was the food. We had The Farmer Burger and The Beyond Burger and both were amazing!!! There was also a wide selection of beers and different cocktails. Overall it was an amazing experience, we will definitely be going back there the next time we’re in Toronto!!
Best nachos in the city hands down don't @ me, if you trying to throw hands come thru I will fight anyone who says these nachos are not the Truth. The quest for the Holy Grail is over. The slam dunk contest is over. Covid is cancelled. Call the cops, hide your kids, hide your wife, cause these nachos are taking everyone out here
Crafty coyote the best bar restaurant in the world, very nice people and they treat everyone nicely! Support this business all the way Cheers 🥃🥃
Fabio provided us with fantastic service; charm, an encyclopaedic knowledge of the options on the menu, handled a petulant customer on our table with deft grace - great spot with awesome staff
Had a great Friday evening at Crafty Coyote. My friends enjoyed their extensive craft beer and cider menu, in cans and bottles and on tap. The three of us shared the BBQ Meat Board, complete with New York Striploin, chicken breast, pork sausage, pork ribs. Our awesome server swapped the regular fried for sweet potato fries, and my friends augmented with a plate of onion rings. As luck would have it a busker group set up at the opposite corner so we had live music throughout the night. Really great place, great vibe. Go, you'll enjoy it!!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience to remember! The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the delicious wings. They were perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. If you’re a wing lover, this place is a must-visit. The drinks selection is impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit every taste. Whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing cocktail, a robust beer, or a non-alcoholic beverage, you’ll find something to enjoy. The restaurant is also strategically located near the subway, making it incredibly convenient to get to. The view from the restaurant is lovely, adding to the overall ambiance and making it a great spot for a relaxing meal. A special shoutout to Anna, our waitress, who made our dining experience even more enjoyable. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her warm and welcoming demeanor truly made a difference. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious wings, extensive drink selection, convenient location, and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
Great place to go for a wide selection of beer and really good pub food. The place has a really nice decor, which reminds me of some brasseries in Belgium and all of Europe in general. I would highlight the service I received from the staff who were really attentive and friendly and quick. I loved all the recommendations they gave me both for food and for drinks. Would definitely revisit.
He compartido cena con mi pareja.
Has to be one of the friendliest and best place near Bathurst subway.. quick service and good vibes. Special thanks to Juliet she is a STAR and a very kind human 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’ve only ever visited Crafty Coyote at night, after dinner, sitting at the bar—and honestly, that’s been more than enough to understand why this place matters to people. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and unpretentious, but what truly defines the experience is the human touch behind the bar. Luli (he/him) is, without exaggeration, one of the most professional bartenders I’ve encountered in the city, in the best, most meaningful sense of the word. He has a calm, attentive presence that immediately puts people at ease. Everyone is acknowledged, everyone is treated with respect, and the bar feels genuinely safe and inclusive because of how he holds the space. There’s a quiet confidence in the way he works, knowledgeable without being showy, warm without being intrusive. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and that care translates directly into the experience of the people sitting in front of him. I haven’t had the chance to eat here yet, but based on the quality of the drinks, the service, and the overall vibe, I have no doubt the food lives up to the same standard. Crafty Coyote is the kind of place that feels better because the right people are running it, and Luli is absolutely one of those people. He’s an admirable professional and deserves every bit of positive recognition for the way he shows up, night after night.
Nice bar with a large selection of beer on tap! Lots of seating. It's a bit dark but manageable. They also have a great patio. There is a paid parking lot behind as street parking can be hard to find.
we came at a really busy time, restaurant was busy and we had to sit on patio… but the patio was great, closed and heated . We were super comfortable. William was amazing! He’s so super attentive and has a great personality. When it comes to laid back bars I would definitely recommend this one. — Shoutout to William though!!
I discovered this place 2 days ago and I was really surprised by the quality of their burger, the Cobb salad and my friend had a very good quality steak too. They also have a very good selection of beer. It's a place that I recommend to drink a beer and eat a burger with friends. And what's more, the service was fast.
I'm a big meat lover, and tend to stick to an animal only diet. Luckily, Crafty Coyote has a BBQ meat platter, on there menu. It does come with sides, which I tend to decline. Update (Dec 2024): I've had the Danish BBQ Pork Ribs, full rack, without BBQ sauce. It's very delicious. Servers are friendly, and can customize your order. Inside is quite spacious, and has several, large tvs, showing soccer matches. There is a large outdoor patio, on the side street. It too, has a large screen tv.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming bar and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is wonderfully cozy, with tasteful decor that sets a perfect mood. The staff were exceptional, creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing attentive service throughout the evening. The food served was not only delicious but also generously portioned, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, all of which were flavorful and satisfying. My friends and I had an incredible time here, enjoying both the food and the lively atmosphere. It's definitely a place I would highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and have a memorable night out
Always a great vibe with fantastic beer selection. Service is on point. I’ve only ever ordered the Schnitzel ( so good ) repeatedly but tried the Pork Sliders and they were so good I almost ordered a second order. Has a couple pints of Common Good Solace IPA which is outstanding. Then finished with some Crafty Elk Organic Hard Juice ( Vodka based) which was so delicious. Will continue to come back and with warmer weather am stoked to see their awesome patio and street patio back.
The Mimosa was awesome and the fish and chips was just mixed bag. The batter was over cooked and dry. The fish was mushy and had lost it's texture. Not like how we remembered it pre-pandemic. The fries were awesome though! We have to come back again soon 😃 to see if it was a fluke or the pandemic has taken a toll. The server was a super friendly, polite and courteous! All in all a good experience. Good to remove your mask and enjoy a pleasant restaurant experience after such a long time!

Great place to get together with a few friends for a few drinks and snacks. Convivial and well-appointed, you will be tantalized by the scent of barbecue ribs drifting through the joint. Boisterous, bustling, and loud, it's a clear crowd favourite, and you can spend quite a while perusing the really extensive craft beer selection ... As well as some high end single malt scotches ... A fun, casual place with quality food and drink 👍
I still like the place but it has gone a bit downhill in the last couple of years. They used to have a great brunch that suddenly vanished a while ago, with a server once claiming it was because of a "new chef" but it never came back and the rest of the menu hasn't changed in a while. The chicken fingers (one of the few menu items that hasn't had a 50% price increase) have changed from freshly made to what I'm sure were just were previously frozen considering it lacked real texture and all five in the meal had the exact same shape. The beer list used to rotate frequently but it has become pretty stagnant and features very few beers you can't get at the LCBO, whereas a few years ago it was stocked with unique brews from around the province. Oh, and I'm still bitter they haven't had daily specials since before COVID which were usually pretty damn great. Please, go back to how you used to be.
I went with my wife this week. Food was almost good, avocado creamy didn't taste that good. Beef good, chips perfect. Hamburgers overall were nice. Beer pretty nice and perfect temperature. You should explore to have more customized items, like your logo on your beer jar, napkins, tables. Okay now the bad: service, i dont know if the guy had a problem that day but he was inexpresssive... At levels you felt like bother him. Every place i visit I'm trying to be polite and smile, im a dream customer. Dude, if you read this: yes IT is your job make customers comfortable, even if you have a s... Day. If you have 3 couples dining MAKE sure they are well attended and don't disappear after 40 minutes waiting for food, comeback and explain it will take time to bring the food or offer your help if they need something else. Proactive is the word... Owner: the food/drinks can be the best, but it doesn't make me back if service is plane...
Needs gluten-free options and awareness of gluten intolerances anf allergies otherwise was great food and staff
The Crafty Coyote is a Toronto-style pub located in “the Annex” on Bloor Street West. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Toronto, the Annex is located not too far away from pubs and bars that tend to be more popular with a younger, hip crowed, and the Crafty Coyote fits right in this atmosphere. For summer time, it has a nice and relatively large seating area that is good for day and night. During winter time, evenings are a better choice. The dim lights provide for a chick, sophisticated atmosphere, without departing from the more casual and relaxed environment expected on Bloor Street West. The Crafty Coyote is a cozy place for anything from a date, or one on one or group meetup. It’s fancy and sophisticated enough for young professionals wishing to meetup for drinks with colleagues. A highlight of the Crafty Coyote is its impressively diversifies selection beer. There nachos are also delicious.
Un lugar muy recomendable para pasar el tiempo, tomar una cerveza artesanal y relajarse con buena música. Ir con amigos será muy divertido, el lugar tiene baños y la atención es bastante buena
A huge variety of beer that is suitable to anyone’s taste, and the servers were very helpful in choosing which beer we would like to try. Like any place downtown on queen west it was busy but not loud like other pubs. Food, the sides we had were good, I had the meat plate and honestly it wasn’t great, the food tasted like it was frozen and warmed up in a microwave cause it got cold very quickly. I would definitely go again for beers and a side dish.
Good beer, hip servers, nice vibe. Came for a drink on a Saturday night, place had a good vibe going and much more cozy than it looked. Good is to share or burgers, but beer selection is big. Menu is a bit confusing as drafts are on the wall, and bottles/cocktails are in the menu. Good place overall!
A cozy bar and kitchen featuring a large assortment of beers as well as other alcoholic drinks and a diverse dining menus. The burger, though good, tasted like it was a prepared food rather than house made with the brioche bun being untoasted and a little too squishy. The fries were delicious and crispy. The stuffed portobello mushroom burger and garden salad were phenomenal and flavourful. The atmosphere was a bit loud due mostly to the dining area being rather full but was still able to enjoy conversation.
I had supper on the patio last week at Crafty Coyote.\n\nI ordered wings (with Frank's red hot sauce) and fries. Yum! I like their wings.\n\nKatarina was my server and took good care of me.

Nice little place. Rating is low though because their website really needs to be updated. The prices probably are those from a few years ago so if you’re looking at those prices, expect at least 30% more when you get to the place.
While the food was really enjoyable, the service was a bit iffy. My order was completely forgotten about, so my partner finished eating before I got my food. They accidentally double charged us for a drink and the service in general was slow. The waiter was very friendly and very accommodating, but the waitress that had dulled our experience.
Crafty Coyote had a cool vibe, but the food was below expectations. Portions were small for the price, and many dishes lacked flavor or felt poorly balanced. Service was fine, but overall the meal didn’t match the hype. With so many great options around, I probably wouldn’t go back.
Decent burger, enjoyed the fried egg on the burger. Fries just ok. Prices not too bad. They seem to have trouble keeping the place warm in winter, even with a full room.
The vibes are cool. Love the selection of beer and the atmosphere is awesome. I love the patio. Service is lacking for sure. We got there during an off-time and it wasn't busy and it took awhile for someone to even come to the table to get us water and take our order. The wings were super dry. I wouldn't recommend them. We had to actually go to the bar to get our bill too because our waiter never came back. We went back later for another drink after a show and it was the same thing. Definitely a little busier but still long wait time to get an order taken.
Great selection of beers. They were out of 2 menu items at 6 pm on a Sunday. We ordered pulled pork sliders recommended by the server and they were incredibly dry. I would’ve asked for extra bbq sauce if the server came back to check on us but she did not. Would return for drinks but not for food.

Place has a good, big selection of beers. Only upside really. Server was nice too. But the food we had was seriously bad. Ordered calamari and was hard like rubber and had to send it away. He took it off the bill because we just didn't eat it. The chicken sandwich I ordered was burnt in the fryer and the chicken. Was overcooked? Maybe? It tasted like rubber. Not good at all. The chicken wings were good. If I was to come here again I'd just get some wings and a drink.
When the menu says "hand pressed beef patties" and you get a hamburger cut into 3rds you start to question the chef's ethics. Maybe he wasn't in the mood to pound his beef? Could have just told me the sliders were out. This was my go to joint before a Lee's Palace show. But now I'm thinking I'll try something else. Bonus: a wobbly table is a surprise to me and my spilled drinks, but a known fact for you. Take the time and purchase the solution so your table sits flat.
Used to be good. Now it's just bad. I gave it many chances for redemption. Today was the last time. Took 5 min for the waitress to come to our table (there was barely anyone), 5 min to get water, another 2 because they ran out of 1 kind, and finally we get our drinks, to find out they're not even cold! What ticked me off: I go see the barman (the waitress is busy with that 1 table and doesn't look at us) he says: do you want me to put ice in them? No sir, the correct answer should have been: oh no, let me pour another one see if it's better. So disrespectful.
Basic noisy drinking establishment. Not unduly comfortable, no noticeable personality. Food C-minus (communal nacho plate had leftovers). Tip automatically added to the tab. Server was friendly, cheerful and accommodating.
Odd experience honestly came in for a drink and maybe a snack but was told the kitchen was closed. We were fine with that, still had a beer and our waitress was nice enough. But the two tables beside us that came in after were still allowed to order food. When we asked about it they said the others were regulars. Just thought it was weird to have food for some people but not others
The food was very disappointing. The drinks were not enjoyable at all, served in a dirty glass. The waiter was rude and slow. The atmosphere is that of a dirty bar, that is run by a bunch of college students who don’t understand basic cleaning or customer service. Not worth the money. Waist of an expensive night out. Better off to go to a franchise basically.
Pretty terrible service. Waited with either empty plates or empty glasses for the majority of the time spent here. Tacos were soggy, the lasagna seemed like it was a frozen PC brand that you put in the oven for 45 minutes. The only thing making this a two star rating vs a one star is their entirely mediocre lineup of beer that kept my girlfriend happy.
I have to agree with some reviewers with The fish and chips. For us, it tasted bland, mushy, and had a weird taste (as if it was in the freezer for too long). The fries were good though. I would strongly recommend to stay away from the tacos, (at least the grilled chicken ones). The chicken lacked seasoning, and there was too much of everything ( sour cream, onions, peppers??) yet there was no genuine good flavor. I would give one extra star to the service, as they were polite. Overall I don’t think we were the target audience for this place, as we didn’t order any alcohol. They seem to have lots of choices for craft beer and other drinks. I wouldn’t recommend going though JUST for the food.

I went with a friend, and the server since the beginning was rude with us, after we pay the bill he took from us the water in a rude way he literally took the bottle from our hands, the we try to talked him to calm down the situation and he throw the cup of water from my friend’s hand, and the manager didn’t say or do anything they just stop the service. It’s not my first time on this bar, I enjoyed the other days, but today was not nice.
Sunday March 23 2025. We didn’t even get to visit the restaurant. Tried reserving a table online, didn’t get confirmed for a couple of hours so I tried calling, and someone picked up my call and hung up right away. Not even a word. Cancelled the reservation request because it just gave me a bad feeling, can’t expect too much of good service from a person like that.
I went to this restaurant yesterday because I had a great memory of going there about a year ago, but I had an awful experience this time. It was game night, and it was full, which I understand could lead to taking a little bit more to have my order, but the server didn't mention anything about the waiting time nor offered menu options that might have taken less time to be ready to serve. I waited almost one and a half hours for my order, asked a few times about it, saw people who got there after receiving their orders and ended up leaving without any food. On top of that, a group of teenagers was screaming the whole time, which was annoying by itself, and you could see it in everyone's faces, except for their parents, who thought it was fun, but it would've been less annoying if I hadn't been hungry and angry with the service. They ended up giving us our beer for free, but they also gave us the feeling of not ever coming back.
Went for lunch and got the fish and chips and chicken tacos. I have to agree with some reviewers about fish and chips. We felt it was mushy and tasted like it had been freezer burnt. The grilled chicken tacos were dry and bland. They had almost zero seasoning, and the rest of the toppings added very little flavour. I ended up adding hot sauce but they were still lacking a lot. We weren’t able to finish either dish. The staff were friendly enough, but it didn’t make up for the lacklustre food unfortunately. Wouldn’t recommend.
I don’t usually leave reviews for restaurants or bars — mostly because I’ve come to expect the bare minimum when I go out these days. Plus, reviewing places often feels like more trouble than it’s worth. But as the gap between good and bad service continues to grow, with seemingly no effort to address it, I feel compelled to speak up. So, here we are: Crafty Coyote is getting a well-earned negative review. From the moment we sat down, the experience was off. Our server (a male, unfortunately didn’t catch his name) seemed like cracking a smile or offering basic politeness would have caused him physical pain. We weren’t there to be difficult, just two people looking to have a casual meal and a couple of beers before a show at Lee’s Palace. But even getting his attention felt like an imposition. After several attempts to flag him down, I was ready to leave. My partner talked me into staying, hoping it was just a bad moment. I regret listening. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which the menu described as being served on a brioche bun with grilled pineapple and other toppings. What we got was a soggy mess, a bun that looked like it came out of a Dempster’s bag from Costco and a slice of canned pineapple plopped on top. In 2025, when customers care more than ever about transparency and quality, the least the kitchen could have done was let us know they were out of brioche buns or that they’d be serving something completely subpar. Instead, they quietly served something they clearly didn’t care about and hoped we wouldn’t notice. We did. And yes, I know what some might be thinking: “It’s a pub on Bloor — what were you expecting?” But that excuse only goes so far. There are plenty of spots nearby offering better food, better service, and better vibes, for the same price. Why should we lower the bar just because some places can’t be bothered? Beyond the food, the service was consistently apathetic. Long waits, indifference, and having to ask multiple times for the beer menu again just to place another order. It all added up. I didn’t want to write this review, truly, but between the server’s attitude and the food’s utter mediocrity, I felt I had to. Especially now, as prices rise and wages don’t, we should be holding establishments more accountable. Our time and money matter. When we choose to spend those limited dollars going out, we want it to feel worth it. As someone who genuinely loves beer and pubs, I’ll say this: decent service leads to longer stays and higher tabs. It’s a simple equation. Still, I left a generous tip; not because it was earned, but because I can’t bring myself to be as inconsiderate as the person serving us. So, can we just do better? Can we stop pretending this level of service is acceptable? Let’s stop letting places waste our time and money.
When we arrived to the place nobody took care about us and we had to look for the waiter to ask for the menu and he told us go and have a sit. After 20 minutes he came to us to give us the menu and other 15 minutes after he took the order. Were were waiting here after one hour waiting for the food since we came. When he brought the food we gave him suggestions about the service and how important is to take care about all customers and his answer was that he must to use the common sense because the place was full. We saw him telling to the manager about the situation and asking for a discount but the manager doesn't even care and to the moment of paying we didn't even receive any apologies or discount. From the treatment we saw as a manager towards other Canadian clients, we felt that we were discriminating against for being Latinos, we did not feel the same attention as if we saw with others. A nuestra comunidad latina, cuando han entrado a restaurantes no han sentido muchas veces que no nos tratan de la misma manera que a europeos o gringos?
Dropped in for a pint with 3 other friends (group of 4) and we were told to sit anywhere. There were 4-5 available tables so we got one close to the bar. Menus were thrown on the table but after 10-15 minutes, no one came to take our orders. While waiting, 2-3 other tables were seated and one group even got beers served within 2-4 minutes of them arriving. We tried to flag our server but no luck. Finally they came to take our order and then we waited an additional 5-10 minutes for our round of drinks. Being seated close to the bar, the bartender glanced at the bartender after 10 minutes of not receiving our drinks, and saw him not pouring anything. We assumed we were forgotten so we were gonna leave, only to see the server come around the corner with our flat beers as it had looked like they were poured at least 5 minutes before we got them. Both of the dark beers we ordered were sour and the nitro stout was especially rancid. There also smelled like there was a sewage leak or something as the basement washrooms smelled terrible.
Server repeatedly ignored us even after trying to get her attention several times. She continued to serve other tables while we waited over 20 minutes just to place an order for food. It wasn't particularly busy either, with only a handful of tables seated. Eventually, a different server came to take our order and was very attentive, but the atmosphere was just really cold and strange from the beginning.
If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely disgusted with this restaurant and the manager! I was given this “Cobb” salad for $20 when I arrived home opened the box and seen this I called right away to speak to the manager who I also sent a photo to. He then told me to come the next day to get a replacement and when I arrived he told me I was a liar and wasn’t getting anything. P.s I don’t want to forget to mention the long black hair that was on a piece of the chicken which also looked half eaten! Whatever you do don’t waste your money in this disgusting place of business!
Ordered the muskoka raspberry pineapple seltzer (number 5) got a cider. When I asked the waitress if it was a seltzer that I ordered she said yes. She never came back to our table, my friends drinks were empty, they had to go to the bar to order more drinks and bills. When she came back to take their order and my bill, I got a bill for a beer and she never took the empty glassware. Then my friends got their bills all wrong and found the cider I never ordered on a friends bill. She also brought an extra bill too.
