This place is great! It's in a new low apartment style development. We were here once for dinner and once for brunch. All the food is quite good that we tried. I especially loved the sweet potato pancakes for breakfast. They're not like any I've tried before. The pretzel's chipotle cheese sauce is delicious. They have a nice draft beer selection. The service was very friendly. They have outdoor seating in a quite relaxing area outside the restaurant. The inside is warm and inviting. Overall, I really liked it.

We ate lunch as a group of 5 for work on a home game Friday. The service was fast and friendly and the owner was on site. The food was excellent! I had a steak taco salad with with meat prepared as requested. There where also many gluten free dessert options. I stocked up!

Best food I've had in South Bend. Its a bit more upscale so you don't feel like you're in a small town quite as much. The staff is friendly and will call you when your table is ready so you don't have to wait in the lobby. The food is also labeled well for people with food allergies.

Excellent food in a casual, modern setting. The hummus plate is an especially delicious appetizer, and the house made dressings are all good. Mac and cheese is a favorite if comfort food is your pleasure. Don't forget the dessert!

Unique menu, and they make great cocktails. I liked that the tables were spaced out well, and that there was plenty of elbow room. It was busy, and they were on point with the reservation time. The staff was very professional(which is tough to find in a college town)

The Mark Dine and Tap must have had a rocky start to their operation a few years ago based on the handful of sandbagging reviews here on Yelp. Either I'm ignorant or this superb dinner spot has really turned it around. Living close by this is our go to spot whenever we want a nicer dinner within a short walk. Every item I've ever ordered has been well prepared and delicious. The pretzel appetizer comes with 3 dipping sauces, 2 of which are so good you'll want to order a second round for your main course. Main plates include entree sized salads (the blackened chicken caesar is worth every penny), cooked to order burgers (the Mark comes with a fried egg - need I say more), sandwiches, pastas, steak, duck, and seafood. Of the restaurant options in Eddy Street Commons The Mark Dine and Tap easily wins for best selection, presentation, and taste. On to the beer. You would be correct in assuming their wine list is extensive, but while their draft list is shorter it makes up for it in pure quality. St. Bernardus ABT 12 on tap every single day. The last time I've seen that as a mainstay draft was at a high end beer bar in Washington DC. They also have La Fin du Monde and Brother Thelonious. If those are too far out of your wheelhouse you can find regional brews from New Holland and 3 Floyds and a smattering of other choices. To date I've yet to try any of their desserts although they look great. I'm always so full on appetizers, entrees, and a nice warming brew that I simply can't fit any more in.

The Mark Burger is quite possibly one of the best burgers I've eaten. The prices are reasonable for what is offered. A must visit if in the ND area.

OMG BEST RESTAURANT EVER!!!!!! I highly recommend the cakes or the veggie burger, which I call bliss on a bun. If you get the chance, EAT THERE!

Their food is delicious, and their wide variety of alcohol options are great. I was introduced to mead here, and it was delicious.

Hit this place by chance. Nice selection of their own beers which were solid... wasn't totally wowed, but way better than average (I admit I'm a bit of a beer snob). Food was real tasty as well.... genuine recipes with good ingredients. I'd definitely go back next time in town.

Almost as good as Uptown kitchen . A little higher price point than we usually go for dinner. But the food is Good. A nice treat

The staff was very friendly, as usual. The atmosphere is very welcoming and inviting. The stir fry was not good - extremely bland, no taste. Might have been the coconut sauce, but even then, just not tasteful. Out of ordinary for The Mark. The ahi tuna was very good, however!

Menu has a Bloody Mary with bleu cheese olives... But this is apparently not actually offered :(

Had a reservation for 4 months and was sat 45 min late and then waited over an hour for food after the UMass game and the food was cold. It's unfortunate because coming here has been a tradition but the restaurant is not managed well

Overrated. Food was okay at best. Service; stop trying to be my best friend and focus on what we need and the order. Not tying to be harsh just honest.

This used to be my favorite place with my favorite sandwich and the best onion rings in the state. I was really disappointed upon going there today after some time out of town to see the menu has changed. No problem, gotta keep people on their toes but taking the best thing off the menu? (Monte Crisco) The quality of the food has decreased, no more in house o-rings and the pork "tres tacos" that I was told were "very good" was under portioned, under flavored and cold. (Tasted like pork held in water, not even juices). Part of me almost hopes the changes were a last ditch effort to keep food prices low and maybe try to drum up some new business. Do not look forward to another visit in the future.

BREAKFAST IS NO LONGER SERVED! Despite what the sign (and Google) says, there is now no breakfast at The Mark, even on the weekends. My group arrived a little before 11am on a Sunday after an ND football game. Even though we were the second party to be seated when it opened, it took 50 minutes to receive our food (several tables around us had finished and left in this time). Neither our waiter nor the owner, who came and spoke with us, cared to expedite the process. After we had clearly finished, it was 40 minutes before we could get anyone's attention to get our checks (our waiter and the owner seemed to have time to serve everyone else but us). After that ridiculous amount of waiting, we figured we'd at least get a small discount or a coffee taken off our checks. This was not the case. After our payment was processed, the owner came back to our table and seemed perplexed as to why we were dissatisfied. He said, "Sorry you felt like it took too long to get your food. I didn't want to spend time discounting your checks because I knew you were in a hurry." A couple members of our party had had OK experiences at The Mark in the past and the other diners seemed to be pleased with the service that morning. However, none of us will ever visit this establishment again.

Host wouldn't give a straight answer on how long the wait was to anyone who came in the door on game night. I checked in but could quickly tell they weren't seating anyone, yet there were open seats in the dining room. It was obvious he was just getting people add their names and go drink in the bar while they waited. Fine, but he saw me come in with my two young kids and we clearly weren't taking them into the bar. Based on my observations I realized we were better off heading to another restaurant. 2 hours later, after we had already eaten elsewhere and as we were half-way back to Indy, I got my "your table is ready" text. I did not appreciate the lack of transparency about a simple question like "how long is your wait?"

Overpriced menu offering over-zealous food that tries too hard to be cool. I enjoyed a butternut squash soup with wild mushrooms, where the strong sweetness of butternut fought so hard with the woody mushroom, and I had no idea what it should taste like (wild mushrooms were cooked to a rubbery texture in soup too). I ordered a salmon BLT, and they forgot to put bacon on it — which they fixed, and I regretted. This is the first time I had food that should NOT have bacon alongside.
