Panda Express South Pasadena Reviews
This is a really pretty Panda Express, it's all clean and new. The staff , Danny and others, were amazing, 4 dudes standing in a row, teamworking my order. The food was fresh, even the carrots in the fried rice were crisp, not all frozen/mushy like other places! I had the walnut shrimp and sesame chicken breast. I'm so glad they have chicken breast as an option, I do not care for thigh meat, that's used in all the other chicken entrees. A+++++++
Stopped through this Panda on our way home and as I made my way in line I noticed that the string bean chicken I was hoping to get was running low. Instead of giving me a scoop of what was left in the bottom of the pan, they asked me if I wanted to wait for the new batch and offered me AND my husband a free drink while we waited. Top tier Panda!! And the food was fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hadn't been there in a while. I tried the new spicy orange chicken was very good. Half and half rice and noodles. Was tasty. Small restaurant. Line waiting to order. We were somewhat scrunched together because of small space. Prices for a combo have gone up just like everywhere else.
Great service, fast prep, friendly employees. Always happy to come back. Whoever the new chef is, you're doing a great job. Keep it up.
My wife and I enjoy eating Panda Express for many years especially their orange chicken that started a craze and spead to others Chinese restaurants. We think Panda Express use the best ingredients like fresh vegetables and good quality meats like beef, chicken and shrimp. One thing we like best when have a new item for a limited time they also create new recipes to show their culinary experience. We have been to different Panda Express in different cities but this one because the food is season well cooked with full flavors of the ingredients.
We come here almost every Friday. It’s a South Pasadena Staple. The Staff is so nice. Because I’m a picky person my order took a little longer. The Manager was so sweet. She gave me a free drink i while I waited. That doesn’t happened to me anywhere. Must be tough being a manager there. Especially with some Karens that I see in there.

Great staff and food at this location. The food is FRESH hot and delicious .I ordered kung pao chicken and it was really good!!! Ty this location is really good! The gentleman served my food, had a smile on his face and was very welcoming. It was closing time and everyone was really nice.
Tastes so good. Great price. Not the real deal, there's plenty of authentic Chinese restaurants in sgv but this Panda is amazing.
Oh Panda, how I love you. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not AUTHENTIC but it tastes damn good. I love the honey walnut shrimp and the classic orange chicken. Can’t go wrong!

Came on Thursday at about 530pm. It was backed up from people ordering and picking up food. Took about 15 minutes but they got caught up. Food is always phenomenal.
Be prepared to wait. The food is great, and the staff works incredibly hard (and they’re polite!), but the kitchen is ALWAYS understaffed with just two people. This isn’t on anyone in the restaurant — they’re doing their best. Upper management or corporate needs to step up and provide more support.
Do you see the black pen cap in my Panda meal? Purchased on 5/28/22 at South Pasadena Panda. Ala Carte medium. I doubt you will believe me so this is just a friendly notification to be careful. Love Panda otherwise.

The portion feels so small, like something meant for a child. I wanted to treat my crew, having visited many Panda Express locations in LA, but this one always serves the tiniest portions. I've given it more chances than I can count, yet it never changes. It feels so deliberate. If you're hoping for a satisfying meal, you might want to find another place.
I don't know what happened at this location. Hopefully, they were having a bad day and this is not an example of food quality. (I am a fan of Panda Express and have patronized locations in many different cities. But, this is my first experience at this location.) Nothing wrong with the service here! But the food was terrible!!!!!! when I walked in, I noticed The food appeared as though it had been sitting there for an extremely long time. The super greens were discolored, with brown spots. (I thought they would cook up fresh greens for the order but they did not). The quality of the other items were of lesser quality than I've experienced at other locations.
Stale, old, hard, uncooked chow mien. Worst I’ve ever had. They don’t even answer the phone so I can complain. Orange chicken was decent.

The service was disgusting the portions of the food looks like a kid meal when I ordered and they charge me for a plate the Asian lady was so rude
Ordered beef and broccoli and teriyaki chicken. Beef was rubbery and inedible. Chicken seemed like it had been reheated several times over the week, also inedible. I’m not a picky eater but gag just thinking about it. Lo mein noodles were hard. Go to any other fast food place.
Oh man, we went here because we were craving Panda Express but there was a ginormous rat that was hanging out on the top of their sign! Honestly, we’ve been here before and it was pretty shocking because it’s pretty clean but that was disgusting so they need to get checked. 🤢🤢🤢
Did not end up eating here because there was a rat climbing on the sign. They should definitely get this fixed.
