The Munch Company South Pasadena Reviews
One of the best sandwich places I’ve ever been, I am not a big fan of sandwiches but the sandwiches here are so flavorful and fresh. The turkey fig & Brie has just the perfect combination of sweet and savory, and the seedy pastrami is such a toasty treat, I have no idea how they cooked the vegetables but it’s just so good. The owners are so nice, peach smoothie is a must-try and the cookies are so good too. The overall atmosphere is just so soothing and wholesome.
Soft calming music sets the tone when you walk in with plenty of seating options and very kind staff, this is the best sandwich in the area. I also love that they offer “half” portions of all their sandwiches when I’m just looking for a snack.
Got a strawberry lemonade and the turkey, brie, and fig sandwich. Both were delicious! I got the regular size of the sandwich but it was so good I could have eaten more. Staff was really friendly, place has a nice chill atmosphere.
A charming and well-lit lunch spot obviously operated by a lovely unit of a family. The strawberry lemonade bullseyes the tart target without being overly sweet. The mango smoothie with almond milk transported me to a mango-smoothie-with-almond-milk wonderland, thick with sweet clouds of brain freeze. With tongue gingerly against the roof of my mouth, I bit into the Green Monster on sourdough, its freshness delighted and satiated. If I lived within five blocks of Munch Company I would be here no less than five times a month. That’s the truth, Ruth!
I haven't had a bad sandwich here- fresh ingredients, and really friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place. Laid back vibes, and tasty sandwiches. If you're in the area, give it a whirl. Vegan options, of you're interested in that!
Cozy cafe in downtown South Pasadena. Staff were lovely and sweet. Coffee was good. They heat up the cookie which is a nice touch. There's wifi!

I love this place! I come here all the time and always get the green monster and a strawberry smoothie. Everything is SO fresh, from the sandwich itself to the drink/pickle on the side, and the bread is amazing! Sometimes, I get a chocolate chip cookie and it’s baked fresh and soooo delicious and gooey. The couple who owns this place is super nice. Highly recommend and honestly think this place is underrated.
My husband and I went to this place for the first time. Their sandwiches were amazing I would definitely recommend.
I love it here! I come whenever I’m craving a good sandwich. The combo is a great deal! I love the salami pesto, the avocado hummus, and turkey fig and brie sandwiches. I always enjoy the hibiscus basil tea :) The music is so nice and the service is excellent!!
Our family lived in South Pasadena 12 years ago. When Celeste owned it the food was an amazing. Then she sold it years ago the new owners changed the food and it wasn’t good. We just came into town and the new owners changed it back the food is amazing again.
Hand made sandwiches with fresh ingredients make an incredible taste. Love the Hot in the Club sandwich. Homemade pickled jalapenos and spread with turkey and bacon, yum! Sometimes the order can take awhile so don't be a in hurry. Fig and Brie is another great choice! Love it here. Regular may be on the small size for some.
This is still one of the best sandwiches in LA. I used to come 25 years ago when it was the original owners and nice to see not much has changed. The turkey and avocado is my favorite!
Great sandwiches, I got a turkey which was yummy but my husbands pastrami really took the cake. Really good homemade strawberry lemonade which was perfectly sweetened (as opposed to the typical overly sweet you get anywhere else). Will definitely be going back here for many more times to come.
New favorite sandwich shop in Pasadena! We were doing a film shoot nearby and the cast + crew enjoyed the food. It was fresh, good quality. Service was fantastic, friendly when I called ahead and easy pick up. It was also ready on time and they were kind enough to label everything.
This spot has such tasty and unique sandwich creations! Over the last 3 years we've ordered a few different sandwiches and have enjoyed them all (from going for lunch to ordering platters for a birthday party). The salads and drink are incredible too! We did once have an issue with an order, but after some clarification the gentleman hadled it well. Sure, there will be a wait, especially at peak hours, but the food is so very worth the wait! Just go in and order online knowing this (there's only the two owners doing it all) and you won't have to dock a star or two for it when you leave a review (even for your food delivery person), ha. The owners are hard working and do a wonderful job for how stressful it could get - be kind and patient. This is a gem of a spot.

Good sandwich but didn't live up to the hype from other customers. The bacon on the BLT was good, but they were a little "conservative" with it. I would go again, but would try something else...
Absolutely loved my sandwich (hot in the club)!! Had a nice spice to it. Such a cute place and lovely to eat in. However, they were a little slow but understandable as only two employees were there. Both of which were sooo sweet. Highly recommend to take out or eat in, just do not go if you are in a rush.

Great sandwiches (I like the turkey fig and brie) and nice workers, but the soup to-go portion was really poor and small, with only a few small pieces of meat and no vegetables inside. This portion was for $7. Very much not like the photos you see of the soup....

Usually I have a great experience at this shop but today I had to second guess if to ever come here again. The ice got me sick I don't know if they don't clean their ice machine but their ice tasted moldy. To my surprise it made me run to the bathroom fairly right after I had it. I also had a sandwich which the ingredients didn't feel fresh.

The staff was incredibly rude and disrespectful. We called to ask if the place was dog-friendly, and their response was completely unprofessional—they snapped back with, "What the hell is a dog supposed to do at a sandwich place?" Definitely not the kind of attitude you'd expect from a business.
