Great place to get a quick bight… highly recommended!
Great restaurant , good people.

Everything taste fantastic!
Awesome food. ❤️
Best sandwiches ever!
Wonderful experience.
Great iced tea!!
Vi en Google que tenía 3.7 , que no es justo, ya que el lugar superó mis expectativas, todo muy fresco y además tiene buen café.
Schönes kleines Cafe. Sehr leckere Sandwiches und guter Kaffee. Freundliche Mitarbeiter.
Exceptional food and service! One of the best breakfast spots in The Hamptons! I highly recommend dining here!
This amazing cafe is known for the best fresh coffee, breakfast, and lunch offerings in the Hamptons. However , their catering services are off the charts !!! Amazing food freshly baked goods and homemade salads, guacamole, entrees for any of your needs !! Formal or casual ! This is a go to place for all your catering needs !
Busy but effective. Nice food, just what we'd ordered at a reasonable price ❤
Great coffee, food, friendly service in a bright place that’s buzzy in high season and calming at other times of the year.
bagels good, coffee good.
solid coffee on the go out east
Great little coffee spot. There is more to it but very quaint and very nice.
I love the service, and the food is so delicious 😋. I love my Shinnecock Hill sandwich 🥪 😋
Excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Lots of good choices. Great for people Watching.
Lovely little restaurant located in town amongst other restaurants and shops. Very unique!
The sweetest people here. I was just passing through and needed some coffee, love the coffee bar, and the people here were the kindest!
It was great highly recommend it is a bit cramped but the food good the service is pretty fast they are really nice the bathroom decent but in total in is great
very crowded but great food and nice staff!
I tried the blueberry scone. The staff didn’t question my request of whipped cream, which is always a sign to me that they don’t know scones. This is one of the best scones i have ever had. It was moist, the blueberries were real and juicy and the thing was so big i could only eat half.

Delicious omelet and many other delicious options. . Numerous coffee options. Lovely family owned and operated establishment. Bright and cheery.
Food is fantastic as always! Staff is friendly & helpful when ordering. Loved sitting outside.
One of the best mochas and paninis I've ever had with exceptional service and a wonderful place to sit outside.
There is something so special about The Golden Pear. It has that genuine neighborhood coffee shop vibe that is hard to find—you see the same friendly faces working away every day, which makes it feel like a real community hub. It’s the kind of place where it’s actually easy to strike up a conversation with a stranger over a coffee. The food is consistently amazing (and fresh!), and while it’s a bit on the pricier side, keep an eye out for their specials—they are extremely affordable and a total steal. My favorite way to start a Southampton morning!
An excellent café, very busy place with lots of options from coffee to food, very good service and I must agree with the person that waited on my friend and I, the coffee is excellent 👌🏻. I would definitely come back next time I'm in town.
I love this coffee, the fresh food, always made the way I ask. There is a saying "if you complain about the prices, you can't afford it. Seems as though some people don't understand great quality isn't cheap have been coming here for years and won't stop. Keep doing what your doing! Cathryn
The best cafe in the world when we visit the hamptons. Such amazing quality food and drinks. Wonderful service. Love the atmosphere although It gets very busy in summer. I always got my drinks to go & I would stop by frequently when we would do summer visits. BEST place ♥️

Expensive … more than Manhattan .
Good but expensive!
Prices are wild, but otherwise love this place!
Decent coffee. Decent Food. Surprisingly slow service. High prices. Oh wait... Southampton.
Nice spot with outside tables in Southampton. Lot of salads and food to take away. Long lines in the lunch hours.
Great food, very good service, warm and inviting for a cafe!
Very, very generous avocado toast: more avocado piled onto bread than I’ve ever encountered elsewhere. I also like the roasted tomatoes they put on top.
I take comfort, knowing that the golden pea is right on the corner. If I need a healthy Ish snack it’s always right where I need to be. The coffee is good. I would say that in the summary you should sit inside because the bees will swarm.
Golden Pear Cafe its a very good little restaurant. They have a lot of choice. Everything is pretty good. I will definitely come back when I will have the chance.

more like a deli had a latte was ok
Pyszna kawa House Blend, jedzenie drogie (15$za zupę ?) i przeciętne. Niestety.
This place was great for my family but not me. I went onto Happy Cow a veg app and it stated there were vegan options. There wasn't. I wouldn't recommend it to vegans
They were hardly busy and still forgot to serve my order. They were only required to heat it up and forgot.
This is my second time back. The first visit I ordered, the Flatbread roasted tomato and Mozzarella really did not care for it. So, the following week, I went back and ordered grilled shrimp tacos. The shell was stale, but the inside was good. I don't think I will be going back.
Expensive - $91… for breakfast 2 x breakfast burrito 1 x small (cup) oatmeal 1 x cappuccino 1 x latte 1 x tea Again I’ll start with the burrito they said was great, tasty but not huge cause we can’t usual finish anything in the US & they did The oatmeal with fruit again was oatmeal with fruit nothing more nothing less, nothing special Now for me we can usually find a way to justify this cost but not here (other than the burrito was tasty) with the following issues - - self service not table service - paper cups that you serve yourself (other than speciality coffee but still in paper cups) - plastic knives & forks - paper plates - clear your own table You do all your own service So you Q, buy, eat & clear all for the costly sum for 3 of $91 as you have to add service or you won’t get your food in an efficient time!! The power of social media
Patrons have been enjoying The Golden Pear Cafe’s fresh baked goods and custom sandwhiches for years. The dining area inside is a bit cramped and for newcomers the ordering process can be a bit confusing. There’s one line for baked goods and another line for ordering prepared foods and salads. When it’s busy the lines can get crossed. Outdoor seating is available. The “Southampton” sandwhich which consists of turkey, Brie, tomato, lettuce and a Dijon vinaigrette was light and delicious. Sandwhiches come with a side of coleslaw, pasta salad, or side salad. Sandwich with side salad was $23.00. The extremely small, single bathroom wasn’t that clean.

Good coffee. Got stung by a bee they seemed to be out of control at this location.
Good food but overpriced. Think that’s a pretty consistent sentiment.
had a cappuccino for 7$ and was sitting on a tiny table in front of the bathrooms. after one hour, i got kicked out for not ordering food and spending enough money to justify my presence. it’s as bad as they say.
I used to go for begels with cream cheese and the last 3 days they were so stingy with cream cheese and last time I ask please put plenty of cream cheese is 6 dollars plus tax every begel with cheese and they did not so I don't longet go there
Do not buy a latte here. Push button espresso and nearly $11 made for one of the worst lattes I’ve ever had.
Disorganized and stressful even when it wasn’t that busy. Not even clear where to order. Rude staff. Overpriced.
Really wanted to love this place. 27$ for lunch, I got the curried chicken salad sandwich and the chicken salad was sour. They were very nice about it (but never removed the chicken salad from the display even though I informed them that it had spoiled) I ordered a panini instead with pasta salad on the side. I could barely eat the sandwich because it was falling apart; the chicken, caramelized onions and avocado were all cut so large that everything came sliding out of the bread as soon as I took a bite. Pasta salad was under seasoned and drenched in oil (as you can see I had to use a napkin to soak up the oil) spend your money on lunch elsewhere!
The place is too expensive for the quality you get. There are like 15 people working here and they all seem stressed. Service was not good,

Good food but terrible experience with the personnel especially when you’re a foreigner (which is weird considering the staff is mostly Mexican). I had to triple checked my gluten free option because girls weren’t taking me seriously. Food arrived and nothing was confirmed to me. I finally had to left the toast (ate the avocado on top) because wasn’t feeling confident about it.

Awful food and rude employees
Bland overpriced food.
Rudest staff
Rude, rushed, crowded.
Stopped in yesterday with a co-worker and the woman at the front desk was quite rude, dismissive, and short with my co-worker who was asking about menu item ingredients due to allergies. When my co-worker asked the woman whether there were red onions in the salad she pointed at the salad in the case and with attitude said 'It's right there.' and became annoyed when my co-worker asked again for clarification in which she audibly sighed and then looked through the salad and flatly stating there were no red onions. There was no reason for this worker to be rude or short with my co-worker. Customer service is three thumbs down here and the prices aren't worth the discomfort!
I was asked to leave because I had been there for more than 30 minutes. I ate breakfast and was working on my laptop. It’s the middle of December, not July. I’ve been going to the golden pear for as long as I can remember, but this will be the last time.
Coffee was OK and pastries were good but the service was awful. There were like 5-6 people working but none knew what was going on with our order. Very rude and would not go again.
everything is overly priced and food is bleh. One good male worker with glasses but the others just talk and ignore you. Better off going somewhere else
Rude staff who seemed completely unbothered. Would not recommend due to the customer service. The food was below satisfactory and the staff were unkind in their behaviour.
Horrible service very unkind staff!!!! never coming back here
They don’t have WiFi… so it’s not for me.
Great location, reasonably okay food but the worst part was the staff which creates a bad atmosphere in the cafe. Feel bad for the owners who I’m sure get their revenues halved by such cold looking people at the front. Sorry for such a review but had to highlight this if it matters to the owners.
I boycotted this place years because of the snotty staff. Again today, I was accused of stealing coffee. See you maybe in 2030.
Went there early in the morning, about two hours after they opened. Found two other older ladies there enjoying their breakfast and using their laptops to get some work done. Ordered a meal & coffee and worked on my laptop while eating my breakfast. As we were finishing up our breakfast, about 45 minutes in, the owner of the cafe approaches me and my friend to leave the establishment. When we inquired, he said that the limit for WiFi usage was only 25 minutes. We offered to switch to our mobile hotspot and even close our laptops and enjoy the rest of the meal, but he remained insistent that we needed to leave. Not only is it an incredibly unusual policy choice for a cafe, it was EXTREMELY suspect that the ONLY patrons they asked to leave were people of color.
Coffee is atrocious. My cup was filled 2 thirds of the way, half of that was milk froth and the other tasted like burnt boiling water, if you know what good coffee tastes like don’t go here, it was undrinkable. Also can’t sit outside because of the swarms of wasps.
Unfortunately I can’t speak to the food here as I left with a bad taste in my mouth before I had the chance to order something. I walked in and headed straight to the bathroom before I even looked at the menu. I had been shopping around and desperately needed to pee first. I was approached by a male employee who very publicly and rudely stated restrooms were for customers only. There is a kind way to say this; he did not take that approach with his tone at all. I found it presumptuous and odd to assume I wasn’t a future customer and to then go out of his way to scold me. It turned me off so much that I said “I’m leaving” and walked right out. Maybe he was having a bad day, but he definitely lost a customer here. I am not one to exaggerate or post negative reviews, but this encounter just rubbed me the wrong way. Service re-training is needed full stop.
The food is fine. It’s overpriced for what it is, but that’s to be expected in the Hamptons. The service is hit or miss, hence the one star review. If you don’t mind being ignored for 10 minutes by three people behind the counter when there’s one other customer in the store, you’ll love it here. Save money, time and frustration and go literally anywhere else for breakfast or lunch.
Overpriced tasteless cappuccino overloaded frothed milk for $7+ for a small. I asked a staff person a question, and received horrible attitude. Btw - why is an iced coffee $7.36? $8 iced coffee?!
Ive passed by this franchise several times and decided to finally give this one a try in SH What a mistake! This is the quintessential taking advantage of the customer in “the hamptons” What a rip off! No nice ambience, No actual table service (its a glorified deli) I ordered a chicken salad wrap and and ice tea …$32 dollars!!!! 😳 Not only was the wrap tasteless, The chicken salad was flavorless, unseasoned and dry. I would have happily not complained IF this was a beautifully prepared bespoke sandwich with homemade sourdough (grilled to perfection) with premium ingredients like fresh herbs, juicy chicken, maybe some bacon… and some kind of seasoning but no, not even close Hospitals serve better food Save your money!

Rude service. Impatient and annoyed to take my simple order of coffee and a bagel. Gave me attitude when I asked for a glaze donut instead of the jelly that she shoved in my face.
Really shocked by how rude and unprofessional the staff were. I ordered a macchiato, was given a cappuccino, then told I should have asked for a cortado, saying it was the same drink, which it isn’t!?! Completely unnecessary and unhelpful. I then asked for a peppermint tea and was told to “go find it on the tray of teas” , which wasn’t there. The staff found it amusing and were openly laughing at us for not being able to get what we asked for. Unfortunately, I’d already tipped before realising what kind of place this is. Would not recommend!
So expensive. Workers were incredibly rude. I ordered the spa breakfast and was given the speciality breakfast. The worker who took my order was loudly talking about how I didn’t order that when I did. It was dripping weird liquid and overall disgusting and expensive. Don’t recommend.
Had such a weird experience today with the woman working the front counter. I ordered online and I came in and very politely said I was picking up an online order for Corinne. She said they couldn’t fine the order, and that they only have an online order for “John”. (I already paid $32 for a salad and an iced tea) but nonetheless I was still super kind and said I would find the email with my receipt. I find it, show the woman and she says “yeah. That’s John. A salad and a green tea”- just super condescending and rude. No apology or anything just really bad customer service. I have no idea who John is or why that name was on my order. I honestly dont care about the mistake but she was just so rude. I will never go back there. Not worth it at all.
Cashier gave me attitude for specifying the amount of vanilla pumps I want in my iced vanilla cold brew. He then said it was “too much” in a sarcastic tone. It was so unnecessary & random. I did not like the flavor profile of the cold brew when I received it.
