I love this place. It tastes like America! I had a Western omelette today with home fries and toast, and it was great. It was the only meal I had to eat today!

Really good food, we usually go for breakfast. The servers are very friendly and usually very fast service. They do not except credit cards, but they do have an ATM on location.

The seat - yourself is nice. Faster and you sit in a location you choose. Server was awesome. Quick, whitty and new what was available. Fish dinner was above average.

Fantastic service and food. Stopped in for a breakfast plate and was pleasantly surprised by the quaint atmosphere and friendly waitresses. My order of pancakes, bacon, and eggs came up quickly and they didn't even charge me for coffee. Will come back again if I'm in the area. One thing though- they don't take cards so come with cash!!

I've been coming here for years, the menu is simple, but the food is really good, staff is friendly, and it's an affordable place to eat breakfast or lunch.

Great little local gem. The food is very good. They have awesome homemade soups and the staff is always friendly. The owner often walks around and talks to the customers. Only wish they had longer hours. Only open for dinner on Fridays. The other days they are only open for breakfast and lunch.

Food is consistently delicious. I order the same thing every time. Broiled fish, Italian style, hold the potato salad, double veggies, and though I try to cut down on carbs I cant resist the Mac salad... So look yummy!

This is a most wonderful place The food, staff, and atmosphere. Other than a wild pack of animals running thru the restaurant screaming and disturbing the customers and the staff. We stopped here on our way home (Buffalo) from Ellicottville and we’re sure glad we did! We walked into a packed house but the waiting staff did a great job of managing the rush, getting us seated and taking our order quickly. And then there was the food….simply amazing. No offense to the fare, but breakfast isn’t the hardest thing to make but when you come across a good diner, you just KNOW. I got the Granny Smith with a side of French toast and it was spot on. Eggs, sausage, crispy home fries and cinnamon raisin toast. I’m getting hungry again just writing this post. Also, the coffee was excellent and just what we needed to start our day. If you’re headed north from Ellicottville or just in the area, this is a must stop for breakfast. Side note: Our waitress Emily was excellent! Super accommodating and swift. 5 stars across the board and we will be back!!

Everything was really good. My boyfriend had an omelet bowl but without onions or peppers. They must not have cleaned the grill well enough because you could certainly taste both. Also the soda from the machine had an "off" taste to it. I love this place and will definitely be going back! 😊

Absolutely delicious sausage gravy and biscuits. Best I’ve had in a very long time. Fast, friendly service. We were worried when we saw the packed parking lot, but the sign said to seat yourself and our waitress came around fast. Husband said his ham and cheese omelet was yummy. Coffee tasted burned and we thought the home fries were too big. We did appreciate the onions with our homefries and they smelled fantastic.

I've been here 2 times, and I'm not sure why I don't go more often. There's one slight thing everyone should be aware of, they're cash only. There's an ATM on sight, but if you don't want to pay a fee, you will need to get cash before you walk in.

I was really happy they have breakfast all day and this was the best breakfast I've had in a while. Excellent bacon and pancakes plus some of the best homefries you can find anywhere. They even have really good gluten free pancakes for my mom!

Amazing breakfast place. Unlike most joints their potatoes are hand cut in house along with their onions. Their bacon is thick cut and real, unlike most establishments where you get those thin crunchy strips. My omelette was perfect and well filled. Only downside is they only take cash; but it's well worth the meal! Bravo cooks!

Fantastic. Food was delicious, very good prices, staff was so friendly, loved the inside. The parking lot did have a few larger holes however.... I had the Ruben. It was great. Crispy, not too much of anything. Perfect portions. French fries were different shapes then you normally see. Friend had the chili burger said it was a great different. Was not too much burger not too much chili. Just enough where you didn't ever eat. Will be going back!

So I've driven past this place 20 times and I kept hearing good things about it. So me and my lady finally went in and omg I'm so glad I did. I had the fish fry and holy cow the fish fry was amazing and their french fries are different than everybody else's but they are really good too. Definitely a great place to stop if you want some really delicious food.

6/17/18 - I ordered the beef on weck with fries. The roast beef was cooked to perfection and was very flavorful. The fries were also very good. 6/23/18 - The Greek omelet I ordered was of great size and tasted wonderful. This restaurant also has some of the best home fries I've ever eaten. 6/24/18 - The sausage gravy was wonderful. The service here on any day of the week is some of the best I've ever experienced anywhere. The food here is always well made. This place is now our favorite breakfast spot.

The wife and I really enjoyed this place. I had a corned beef Reuben which was delicious, in my wife had a cheeseburger and she thought it was delicious too. I guess the only complaint we have is there was too many fries LOL. JK

We get breakfast here every year after getting our Christmas tree from Hill's. The food is great. Pancakes are light and fluffy. Eggs, biscuits and gravy, and sausage/bacon were delicious. One thing we weren't a fan of was the apples and cinnamon French toast (we tried it as its "their specialty"). Was thinking/hoping it would have fresh sliced apples but it was like they just opened a can of apple pie filling and dumped it on top of French toast. It was just a thick gelatinous glob of high fructose corn syrup. We scraped it off to at least eat the French toast which would've been better without it. When going out to eat would like fresh, healthier, homecooked options, but we still love the place! We will still go there but not order that again. Oh and they only take cash FYI!

Fantastic restaurant! Let me tell you why. My wife needs gluten free bread, buns and the waitresses customize to meet your needs. Food is great, service is great. Yesterday was onion rings, hangover special, with the wife getting g.f. pancakes that were wonderful. Today it is a hamburger with a g.f. bun, French onion soup with g.f. croutons and I am having the chili. Can't wait for the fish fry tomorrow. Visiting from Michigan for a conference so the next nearest gluten free diner several miles more. Prices are reasonable but bring cash as no cards are taken.

This quaint country diner is so cozy and welcoming. I have been here only a few times, and the service to our table and those around us is amazing. All of the food we have tried has been outstanding, but Hands down possibly THE best Ruben I have ever had. Also, the fries are a unique "taco shell" sort of shape, which gives more crisp crunchy surface with pillowy potato inside... honestly magnificent. It, honestly, is worth a scenic drive to check it out. Completely worth it😁

Took my boys there for fathers day, busy as expected. Waitress was very nice and friendly. My only disappointment was the "signature" apple dumplin french toast. The apple topping was very bad, tasted like it was removed from a can and set on top the french toast....very bland ,not what anyone was expecting from a "signature" dish. But the french toast was great after the apple topping was pushed to the side.

First time visiting this restaurant - I REALLY liked it! Very good food, cute decor, very friendly staff, and peaceful. Can't wait to go again! And again!

Usually go here with my daughter for breakfast but this time we were disappointed. The waffle was crunchy and instead of strawberry topping with juice they dropped about 6 strawberries on top and served it.

The food was pretty amazing. Had scrambled eggs and bacon along with French toast or signature special. Very cute place inside however I would have given it five stars but I'm not sure where the snow was coming from if it was from the bathrooms or from sulfur water but it smells like burnt eggs it was pretty overpowering. Perhaps just a one-time deal which just happened to be in there at the wrong time.

The ONLY things that disappointed me was the burnt coffee, and it seemed that there was a personal relationship between her and the father/son diners (friends, exes)..She spent a lot of time at that table...BUT.. BEST chili EVER! I got oatmeal, and asked if they had fresh fruit (not on the menu), and I got some nice ripe strawberries... We didn't say anything about the coffee, so that's our bad. Can't wait to go there again!

Comfortable atmosphere food was good my hot turkey sandwich could have been warmer though I didn't say anything because waitress was busy and looked slightly overwhelmed,she was very friendly and professional. Will dine there again when down in that area again.

Food was good. Service was excellent. What detracted from the visit was the filthy carpets and fabric covered seats. They are very stained and it made me wonder about other things.

Service was soooo friendly and my lunch was quite delicious. I had the salmon burger with sweat potato chips. Haven't had a 'real' milk shake like that one in a long time. Definitely recommend the drive. I'm actually from Niagara, Canada.

I got a big bowl of pepper soup It was a nice serving. Just a tiny bit greasy but very flavorful. I would recommend it and would get it again. They do have several soup choices so I would try something else. I liked it. Chicken soufflaki salad looks nice, my brother got it. Dressing had hunks of feta cheese. I would recommend it. However I didn't taste it, it just looked good.

Visiting the area around Ellicottville NY and Springville NY our family mentioned this place from an ad they saw in Niagara Falls NY. They asked us to try it and let them know what we thought. So, we found it to be very busy with customers. That's a good thing. The staff were very busy of course. It's not a big place so, seating for our group of 13 was a challenge (6 children/5 adults/1 teenager) we chose to use two tables next to each other. The server was friendly, and helpful. *Due to the need for workers you need patience. The order was taken as quickly as possible. The food was slow to be prepared and delivered because of the need for workers. (I have total respect for those individuals doing their best under high demand) our food was great. The coffee is delicious and refilled often. I had the western omelette, home fries, a pancake with true maple syrup. Everyone in our group were happy with the food. The prices are reasonable. Fed 13 people for under $120. That's a good deal. Bottom line, I recommend APPLE DUMPLIN restaurant. We will visit there again.

Celebration! 1st Covid vaccination! Meal was good, (and ample!) server very pleasant and accommodating. Their coffee is great. Some restaurants, not-so-much. Recommend you try for yourself. Ladies rest-room clean and well appointed with things ladies might need. Shows they go the extra mile. A lovely experience even with all Covid restrictions. Go!

Food and service were OK, not the fastest or tastiest. Stone age here as only accept cash, what the heck. Rather have Tim Horton's from nextdoor.

Food was good... service was good... a girl refilling coffee never came to me, but went to every other table!! when paying I found out they dont accept credit.. i had no cash so i had to pay a 3 dollar fee at the atm... not happy about that. There was a very easy to miss sign on the door that was weathered and bent over so you couldn't see it. I would give it a 2nd try

We don't live neaby and were hungry so we stopped in. This place is cute, in a down-homey way and the service is nice too. The food was OK. The toast was cold so the butter wasn't melted and I had ordered a western omlette no cheese, well done (as much as possible on the inside) and while it was hot it was still runny on the inside. I brought most of it home to cook it more but got the worst acid reflux I've ever had after eating it so didn't bother. Not sure if it was all the greese or something with the peppers and onions. I have westerns anytime I have breakfast out and that never happened before. The coffee and tea were generic (great value) so not that good but it's not the worst place either and we were starving. It's OK but I probably wouldn't go back. They also only accept cash.

Cozy restaurant with generous portions. Nice selections on menu. I had a hot turkey sandwich with "fries". The gravy had absolutely no seasoning at all. Very disappointing. The French fries were some kind of a potato plank not a traditional French fry and while I got a large portion, they were not uniformly cooked, some were crispy, some not cooked well. My friend got the fish fry. Her fish was delicious but she got the same crazy fries. No seasoning on the coleslaw at all. It's like they skipped that in the kitchen. The waitress was very pleasant but it was crowded and she never came back to ask if we needed refills on our drinks. It was a bit of a disappointment.

Ordered a well done burger off the kids meal for a two year old. It wasn’t until my child was 3/4 way done we had noticed the burger was PINK. It was barely cooked, which can easily make a two year old very ill. After expressing my concerns, the waitress told me they “don’t check every burger”. Any parent should be able to order a well done burger and not have to inspect it to ensure it’s cooked and safe for consumption. They crossed out the burger on my bill (saving $6 for what I can only imagine a very expensive hospital bill). After using the atm and paying the $3 fee to get cash, they decided in good conscience to comp my bill ($44, which will cover the gas to children’s hospital). They were incredibly rude during a very scary situation, had no customer service whatsoever, and acted as though somehow this was my fault and they weren’t to blame. As someone who spoke very highly of this place as we’ve previously gone here multiple times, I would NEVER recommend unless you want a sick child and for the staff to blame you for their poor quality food.
