Inexpensive and excellent pizza and Mexican food prepared by very nice people and you eat surrounded by the smartest people. Me encanta.
I finally gave in and accepted the tree house as the ideal hangout place for our group.

This is one of the most popular eateries on the Stanford campus, located near the Stanford Union Bookstore. Most of the time, I’ve seen this place completely packed, and it offers both indoor and outdoor seating. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after a project meeting to grab lunch, and even then, it was quite busy. The menu has a wide range of options—pizzas, sandwiches, rice bowls, and even some Indian and Chinese dishes. I was very hungry, so I went for an Indian-style bowl with basmati rice and spicy chicken tikka masala. The portion size was good and definitely sufficient for one person. As an Indian, I can’t say this is the best Indian food I’ve ever had, but for a campus eatery, it was satisfying and comforting. I do wish the bowl came with a small salad on the side, which would have made it more balanced. That said, the place has a lively atmosphere, reasonable prices, and seems to offer special deals like Taco Tuesdays and margarita specials. Overall, it’s a solid, pocket-friendly option on campus, and I’d definitely come back again.
Came here to try the vegan options. So far only had the tofu teriyaki bowl and it was very underwhelming. Veggies had no flavor, like they were just frozen and steamed. Otherwise the sauce tasted pretty good and the rice was cooked well.
Tacos were good. Typical college campus quality of food. I like the aesthetic of The Treehouse.
The burrito was okay. The good is the size — it’s pretty big. The bad part is the taste for me. The chicken had too much BBQ sauce and wasn’t fresh I think. I didn’t finish it because it was very mid. Nachos were good. I think if you are in between choices at that place, get something but burrito because my colleagues got other food and liked it more.
Ordered a philly cheese steak with fries as well as a special kale salad/bowl. The philly cheese steak is not like anything you would get from Philadelphia but it's a valiant attempt with similar ingredients. Portion size was nice and large with creamy cheese covering veggies and steak. The fries were also well seasoned and delicious. The kale bowl was uneventful but with good portions and high quality ingredients.
This is a very nice student place located centrally on campus. Tables are inside and outside, take away is possible. A long menu is on the wall with rather moderate prices. The guys serve pizza and a variety of Mexican dishes, like burritos and quesadillas, also salads, sandwiches, burgers. The portions are large: I used to buy quesadillas and it was enough for 2-3 times for me. The food is tasty, but quite oily though, a lot of calories! This time we ordered a club sandwich, paid around 14 usd, we shared for 2 and it was more than enough food for both of us. I lacked a salad on the side because, as said, the food is quite oily and heavy. Otherwise the service is fast and polite, no problems with the order. Overall, a great place to visit!

Smash burgers are good and the pizza and wings
This is a great place for students to grab food while they're on campus. They offer quite a variety of types and flavours of food, but I like their pizza the most. It's tasty, especially after downing a few beers, and it's reasonably priced, unlike a lot of food places on campus. The combo pizza is the best. The dough is great both in texture and flavour, the toppings taste fresh, and the sauce adds pleasure. Strongly recommend. Whereas in the veggie pizza, some of the artichoke pieces have hard outer skin. That makes for an occasional unexpected texture of a bite, and unpleasant one at that.

Stopped by after work for an early dinner. Ordered two vegan dishes - the teriyaki mushroom veggie bowl and the chana masala. I think it would be better to toss the veggies in the sauce and serve them over the rice. The chana masala was ok, spicier than what I prefer. I liked the decorations inside the restaurant, there were plenty of tables outside as well.
I ordered the Cardinal burger and there was no bacon and pickles added. Fries were delicious and the patty and bun were nice. Not cool that I paid more for bacon and got a normal buyer with bbq sauce though. I also asked for my order to go and they plated it. Disappointed.

Shiitake tofu teriyaki bowl contained only three small pieces of tofu and no mushrooms to be found.

The food quite frankly was an afterthought, no more. We had two vegan dishes and drinks: 1 Shitake Mushroom & Tofu Bowl $12.25 1 vegan el jallapeno- NO CHEESE! $12.25 Cut In Half (which they didn't cut in half as requested) 2 agua fresca 16oz $9.00 Both dishes took their precious time, but also failed to evoke any pleasure or satisfaction. Seriously an afterthought. It's as if they settle for their very nice location and that's it. Parking was super expensive as well on top of that.
Used to be able to get an Impossible Burger here. Now the veggie burger is just a scoop of weird rice and grains with corn in it, not even a patty. Totally disappointing, crumbles across the plate instead of on the burger. Just get some Grillers or start having the Impossible or Beyond alternative, again. Definitely need to bump up the plant based options. It's 2025, people. Vegan can actually be good now, and not a weird punt that shows you don't really care about your vegan and vegetarian diners.
I went here for lunch today and had an unpleasant experience with the cashier. The first time, I ordered a whole pizza, and the second time, a can of cola. I’m an Asian who studied and have lived in the US for 7 years. Both times I was speaking at a normal volume, the cashier responded with “Oh, what?” twice, with a face of difficulty in understanding my English, making it super uncomfortable to order. The entire ordering process is dismissive, the staff is unfriendly. I couldn’t help but wonder if there was any race bias involved. It’s disappointing to experience this, especially in a well-known university. I hope the restaurant ensures all customers are treated with the same level of respect.
pretty nasty due to very low quality ingredients

Do not eat here. They use toxic fry oil. I had 1 bite and my stomach is on fire.
